After four men kidnapped a man and his girlfriend in Miami last Tuesday, they drove them to the man’s house to steal his money and jewelry. There, they introduced his girlfriend to his family: his mother, his kids and his wife.

AWKWAAARD.

The robbers in ski masks ambushed the couple in a pickup truck, used flex cuffs to bind their wrists and drove them to the man’s house a couple miles away. At the house were his wife, mother and two children.

The men tied up the whole family, beat up the man, roughed up his wife and stole thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry, according to investigators. But before they left, they introduced the man’s girlfriend to his wife.

Karma really is a bitch.

A Chinese man was caught on surveillance camera using chopsticks for the latter purpose. He sneaks up behind his victim and when he sees his opportunity, draws his chopsticks and snakes a smartphone out of the victim's pocket. Very slick.

For those with short fingers who are trying to get into the pickpocketing business, this might be the way to do it:

 

Now that is real chopstick skill.  Though, it was probably a bad idea to do it both in front of a surveillance camera, as well as a police officer.

Picture this: He'd been patiently waiting in the ceiling for the perfect crime, dreaming of the day he could cry “This is a job for Ceiling Man!”  Then, rip off his clothes, revealing his super-suit, storm through the ceiling like the Hulk and make a spectacular superhero entrance!

Um, did this really happen?  Well, something like that -- make sure you watch the video ALL the way to the end for the big finale:

 

Dear Ceiling Man,

Although this was a pretty awesome entrance, we would like to pitch a few ideas for next time:

       
  1. Keep a fog machine handy to use at the right moment of your entrance for effect. Oo and fireworks! Fireworks are cool.
    2.    
  2. Play heroic music -- every superhero's entrance needs a background tune.  May we suggest O Fortuna from Carmina Burana?
    3.    
  3. Find yourself a nice Superman suit. A speedo over leggings always seems to work.
    4.    
  4. Oh, and maybe, be on time?

The Superhero Award today goes out to the lady who threw away the robber’s gun.  But, keep trying!
