BizStream Application

User Security

New: The security model has been completely redesigned in order to give BizStream Administrators granular control over who can do what throughout the system. If you're an administrator you can see the new security model by clicking Tools > Manage CourtStream > Manage Application Security and User Lists.
New: The name of the Detention module is now editable

System Log

New: A new application called System Log has been created that records and displays various system level events. Things that will show up in this log include User Login/Logout Attempts, User Profile/Group Changes, Password Changes, Security/Permission Changes, etc. It's only available to administrators by clicking Tools > Manage CourtStream > System Log.

Menu

Update: The menu, it's groups, and sub menu items have been redesigned.

Communicate, Manage My Work, and My Daily Items have been combined into a single BizStream group.
With the Menu on Top, we've added commonly used links in order to get you to where you want to go with less clicking. For example, you can mouse over Case Manager and click on Reports without actually opening Case Manager first.
In an effort to help you find what you're looking for more quickly (and because we think it looks nice) we've added icons next to the sub menu items. (Currently only available when your menu is "On the top").

Other

Update: Minor bug fixes
Update: Many enhancements for speed of access.

Attachment Uploading

Update: Commas are now allowed in file names
Update: Users may now rename the uploaded file at the time of uploading. This helps with taking files from digital cameras with nonsense filenames. (DSC01234.jpg)

Reports

Update: An option was added when outputting to CSV (Excel format), Show Report Headers. This gives you the opportunity to import report data into other programs more easily.

Case Manager, Detention, and Facility

Administration

Update: A majority of administration screens have been reworked so admins can edit the items in-line. Basically this means they can simply click the table cell and edit the value without having to click the edit button on the row, change the value, and click the save button.

Court Orders

Update: Judge/Referee no longer defaults to the first one in the list. Referee field is also hidden when not required.

Updated: The Brief Description of Behavior field now allows 250 characters, up from 50.

Fixed: When creating a new client from an existing client via an external (to CourtStream) client database, the client would not be created and the user would be redirected to the last client they had opened.
Updated: Non-administrator users were having problems viewing their Case Notes. Permissions were reset.

CourtStream 5.2.6 Major Features

This entry is to highlight some of the major features released with version 5.2.6

The addition of the Facility application is one of the most significant. All facility related items will be managed from this new menu item, including meals, medications not specific to a client, and the Detention Daily Log.

Meal Count gives administrators the ability to track daily meal counts. Meal types are specified by the administrator, including as many, or as few, as desired.
Facility Medication manages medication not directly associated with a specific client. Searches of all medication actions can also be performed here.
The Daily Log has been moved. Access to the daily log is still available from the Detention application, but you will be forwarded to the Facility section of the site.

A client tab has been added to both Detention and Case Manager. This tab will contain the "current client", and will provide and easy way to move between tabs and applications while still keeping track of the client you are currently working with.

Many of the reports have been reformatted to improve readability and formatting.

Updated: Users can once again add a request from detention via the Daily Log and click the 'Use This' button to add the RFD to an existing client

Updated: Made some superfluous fixes that have no effect on the user experience.

Updated: Medications now allow editing after saving if no schedules or actions are associated with it.
Updated: Medication Schedules now allow editing of the schedule times after saving and schedules will alert the user when they have associated medication actions.
Updated: You can now send alerts on Medication, Medication Schedule and Medication Action items.

Updated: Log Items can now be edited by administrator and detention supervisor roles even if they are not the owner of the log item.
Updated: The clients in detention widget now allows you to select the Supervisory Level as a display column

Updated: Case Work Team will no longer allow you to add Other Contacts that are blank. Changed verbiage in the title of Other Contacts.

Minor Fixes:

Updated: Fixed some behind the scenes issues that includes better handling of large numbers when storing data.

CourtStream 5.2.5 (Patch 8)

Homepage:

Updated: Clients In Detention homepage widget. You can now select which fields you want displayed. To do this, simply click the "Edit Settings" option on the widget and click the Column List. You can select as few or as many columns/fields that you want. Everyone has different screen sizes and different homepage layouts. Some layouts and size will accommodate more fields, some will not. If you accidentally add too many fields, and cannot see the "Edit Settings" icon anymore, just double-click the "Clients in Detention" title bar to get back to your widget settings.

Case Manager & Detention:

New: Client Summary Tab has a new option called "tags". Tags are a really clean and easy way to "flag" or "categorize" a client. Tags can be used to indicate that a client is a suicide risk, they have a peanut allergy or anything else your organization can think of. There are a lot of web applications these days utilizing the tag feature. You may have seen them being used on other websites. Case Manager:

New: Client Casework Team Tab has a new option for "Other Clients". Before you could only associate other users of the system to the Casework Team. Now you can add a non-user Contact to the Casework Team. For example, you may want to note that "Jane Smith" is the caseworker for "Kent County". This feature allows you to add an email, phone number and job title for the contact.
