2-way Google Calendar Sync for Staff

Staff can now sync their appointments with their own Google Calendar. Synchronization works in both directions, so when events are added to Google Calendar, same time period is instantly blocked for products/services, which they are assigned to. Also, when appointment is edited on the site, it’s instantly updated on Google Calendar as well. Same goes when event is edited on Google Calendar – it’s instantly synced back to the site with updated data.

Step 1: Authorize with Google Account

Authorize your Google Account, where Calendar you want to sync is present.

Step 2: Select Google Calendar

Select Google Calendar you want to sync your appointments with.

Step 3: Manually Sync for the fist time (optional)

You can manually sync if you want to pull events instantly. Automatic sync is performed each hour or live if live sync is configured for the site.

Improved Sync from Google Calendar

Events synced back to the site are now saved as availability rules and not as “dummy” appointments any more. This way synced events work much faster you also have better control over their priority over other availability rules. In upcoming updates, we will also add ability to add free slots with calendar events, instead of just blocking the times periods.

Availability Rule Priority

Rules with lower priority numbers will override rules with a higher priority (e.g. 9 overrides 10 ). By using priority numbers you can execute rules in different orders for all three levels: Global, Product and Staff rules. This means that you can override rules defined on Product level by defining another rule on Global level with priority lower than 10, which is default.

Polylang for WooCommerce

Unlike WPML integration, Polylang integration is much simpler and takes way less resources on your server configuration. There is practically no special configuration and you are ready to go after activation. Data between products is synced, so it adjusts to all translations when you edit any of them. Inventory is also synced and overbooking isn’t possible.

Create Customer on Order

We integrated Appointments with WooCommerce Create Customer on Order plugin to give you ability to create customers directly, when adding/editing appointments in admin panel. This should simply the process for staff and enhance appointment management.

Full Month Duration

Customers can simply select a month they want to schedule or multiple months if applicable. All other features, like provider selection and add-on fields, work the same as with any other appointment form. Here is a demo of this feature.

WooCommerce Inventory

The inventory section allows you to manage stock for the appointable product individually and allows you to set minimum and maximum available places per order. Setting minimum and maximum quantity per order is useful, when you are offering multiple places per each available slot and you want to force customers to book min and max number of slots per order. In upcoming releases we will also add option to allow backorders, so your customers will get in line (will require your approval) for slots that are not available.

Appointment calendar has been updated a bit and is now more compatible with external themes. It now uses system font across all platforms and is less visually distracting than before. Downloadable Files

WooCommerce already incorporates downloadable products for simple products, but it’s very useful to also add downloadable files for appointments. On many occasions you want your customers to have access to files like tour guides, training instructions, meeting preparation files etc.. Now, that’s possible and you can very easily add this to your appointments. Learn how to handle digital/downloadable products here.

Files will become accessible to your customers only when appointment has been paid for inside their account > downloads section on your website. For convenience, files are also accessible directly inside customer’s order details.
