1 December 2017:

President David Brandon could still not be trusted.

Shortly after his election, key American allies erected firewalls to guard sensitive intel. In fact, there were those in the leadership of CIA who, for more than twenty-five years, knew an unprecedented attack on the U.S. was coming, turned a blind eye, and did nothing to stop it.

Where did it begin?

It began in 1991. Young CIA officer Sean Ryan is scapegoated and targeted for “retirement” inside the U.S. by the CIA itself. It follows a massive intelligence failure in Oslo, Norway involving an insidious Russian plan to make good the late Soviet leader Nikita S. Khrushchev’s 1956 warning: “We will bury you.”

WARNING:
By the time you read The Drammen Code it may already be too late.

Nearly a full year into the administration of controversial President David Brandon, there are those within the hierarchy of our security agencies who yet conceal vital details from the world’s most powerful man: President of The United States, Brandon’s past comments and actions in praise of, and welcomed by, the current Russian leader, have not set well within the intelligence community or among traditional U.S. allies.

Intelligence agencies such as MI6, Mossad, BND, DGSE, and even ISI were forced to rethink established data-sharing protocols regarding the U.S. government. In an unprecedented action, these agencies have erected a firewall designed to protect against a suspect world leader and critical elements of Brandon’s administration.

However, the CIA’s filtering of intelligence provided POTUS is not new; this unspoken exercise of prerogative has persisted for decades. However, over the past thirty years the practice has become particularly insidious; now it is essential.

For nearly twenty-six years some in the U.S. government, with questionable loyalties, have kept a deadly secret. As a result, we have not focused on the real enemy; we have squandered vital strategic resources and may have sealed our fate as a nation. That fact has been made frighteningly real by the election of President David Brandon.

What follows is a warning. If we are lucky and heed the signs, there may be one final chance to ensure the long-term existence of the United States of America as we know it.

One man, fugitive CIA agent Sean Ryan, must decide whether to come in from the cold, reveal a deadly secret and sacrifice himself, or witness America’s demise.

In the words of late author, James Baldwin, from his bestselling book, The Fire Next Time, a prophecy recreated from the Bible in a song of a slave:

"God gave Noah the rainbow sign; no more water, the fire next time.

Note:

The eBook will be released on Inaugural Day.

2016 RIO OLYMPICS- A SHOWCASE FOR U.S. BLACK WOMEN

What was most impressive was how all of these women carried themselves with dignity and respect. American television has a difficult time portraying Black women in positive characterizations, but the Black women of the Olympics portrayed themselves in manner that draws on the greatness Black American women have always embodied.

History is full of stories that exhibit the strength and determination that is, and has always been the Black woman. Look at your own history and see the intelligence and wisdom of the women in your own family. While those women in our families are our first role models, the Black women of the Olympics are also role models. These women trained, sacrificed, and performed with excellence to win the ultimate prize in the Olympic Games.

The United States should be proud. These women should feel accomplished. And we should all appreciate the positive images these strong and powerful Black women exhibited to the world.

In recent weeks we have seen the stories of the deadly confrontations between young Black men and law enforcement all over this country. And in Baltimore we saw the anger and frustration of some of its residence manifest itself in the destruction of their own neighborhood. I have heard some commentators opine that these actions are the result of institutional failures of government and business to address the systemic problems Blacks, and in particular, young Black males, face everyday in their communities.

There is no doubt that the concerns are real and they have to be addressed, but it is also true that sometimes a thug is just a thug. You can try to deflect responsibility, but the reality is that some people make the conscious decision to be unlawful. So when some try to give these thugs a pass, what they do is divert attention from those young Black people who have chosen to do it the right way.

This is graduation season, and we have more Black men and women graduating from college than at any other time in history. They have chosen to be more. And it is hoped that them being more will allow of us all to be more. We need to congratulate these students who didn’t take the easy way out. Those who put in the effort to obtain an education. And while they may not quite understand the importance of their achievement today, it is certain that their educational achievement will have a positive impact on their communities.

So if you see someone who is graduating college, congratulate them for persevering. And thank them for choosing to affect change in a positive and constructive manner.

Kumbe finds himself in a hostile environment, as a victim of divorce and neglect. An environment he witnesses the suffering and hustling his mother goes through to feed him. He was unhappy because his father was neglecting his family, spending his fortune on other women. He sees his adolescence as a struggle to win the support of his father. At school, he was among the best students.

This gives him inspiration to fight to educate himself. In a confused society, Kumbe spends a better part of his life visiting the library, reading and studying. Despite daily horrendous life he passes through, Kumbe excels to be an outstanding journalist and writer, attached to the president of his native country, Ghana, with enormous enthusiasm and optimism. However, in his lifetime as a famous journalist, his fame gives him nothing but hatred, jealousy and blackmail from an empire of deceitful enemies.

He stands strong and firm, destined to fight the cruel charismatic power of those forces haunting him. But they are stronger than him. Despite his wife's moral and material support, Kumbe surrenders and dies mysteriously. Who and what killed him? "The Writer Died" is a truly remarkable book of hard life experience of child neglect, an indispensable and inspiring book for anyone that may find himself in a similar situation. The writer tries to define, measure, classify, and understand what child neglect is like in Africa.

There is time for everything, a time to sow and a time to reap. It’s now time to open up crime covered up decades ago. Aids and Ebola are medical crimes against humanity. Just as the Germans planned to exterminate all the Jews, the same, America, Belgium, Holland and the World Health Organization planned to depopulate Africa, with contaminated vaccines.

Not only Jews were used for horrific experiments. Gypsies, orphans, babies, mentally disabled persons, prisoners and homosexuals were purposely infected with contaminated vaccines giving birth to new diseases, including Aids and Ebola. But the majority of people affected by Aids and Ebola are black skinned people. (Africans).

Long before the outbreaks of Aids and Ebola in Africa, the viruses responsible for both Aids and Ebola had already been created in laboratories. The years between 1960 and 1973, during the darkest days of the cold war in which dangerous experiments on human beings secretly done and massive polio and smallpox vaccinations were used, guided by the WHO and CDC, and mostly paid by the Rockefeller Foundation.

Not everyone has pleasure in wickedness. To avoid animal cruelty and find a substitute to carry on with his experiments, Micro-surgeon and scientist Johan Van Dongen invented the “Anastomosis Simulator” and the “Artificial Rat”and received the “Prize Alternatives for Animal Experiments” from the Ministry of Health, of the Dutch Government, at the Annual Congress of Animal Technicians, on November 3, 1993.

But his nightmare started when his native country recognized him as a whistle blower for revealing that Aids and Ebola are human made and tested on Africans, in order to find vaccines against it for military defending purposes in two books he published in Dutch.

The Dutch government, journalists and medical establishments discouraged the sales of the books with bad reviews and finally banned them, then afterwards lost his job and house. “The things I didn’t lose were my wife, brain and the courage to continue the revealing of the truth about the real origin of Aids and Ebola,” says Professor Johan Van Dongen.

Professor Johan Van Dongen for a very long time was fighting this battle alone, until he met the Belgian – African journalist, writer and author Joel Savage, hence; the publication of this book. “I am not qualified to polish the shoes of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr, Marcus Garvey, Kwame Nkrumah etc; so death doesn’t mean anything to me. About the truth on Aids and Ebola, no stone shall be left upturned,” says author Joel Savage. Get your copies at Amazon and find out the truth.

As we commemorate the 86th birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King it is a good time to reflect on where this nation called the United States of America has come from and where it is headed. Many of those who began the fight for civil rights have transitioned away from this existence and never had the opportunity to taste the fruits of their labor. Civil rights advocates, from the national leaders to the local community, began a fight years ago to compel those of European heritage to stop their practices of discrimination towards those of African descent. As history has noted, those fights were often brutal, yet those civil right soldiers who fought the fights; who marched the marches; who protested peacefully, did not waiver in their determination to make this nation look at itself and realize it was not living up to its creed.

And now we come to the 86th birthday celebration of Dr. King and change has come. The 1964 Civil Rights Act, the 1965 Voting Rights Act, and the Fair Housing Act of 1968 have improved opportunities, not just for Blacks, but society as a whole. Community schools have improved and college education is more accessible. Blacks are successful entrepreneurs, business leaders, mayors and governors. We have been the beneficiaries of those civil rights workers who dared to dream a reality that many understood they would never see. Dr. King, himself, wouldn’t have imagined that a young man born in Hawaii to a Kenyan father and White mother would someday be the president of the United States.

So where are we today? Discrimination still exists. Bigotry hasn’t been eradicated. Prejudice still persists. The unrest in our communities is real. The desperation and hopeless doesn’t magically disappear with a new sunrise. Those who have had the opportunity to taste the fruit generated by the civil rights movements, have to find ways today to share the fruit. We have to find ways to help the hopeless. We have to find ways to brighten spirits where darkness wants to reside. We have to provide encouragement in places where people believe it can’t exist.

Seventy years ago, those who began the fight for civil rights had the same challenges. They had to somehow convince the hopeless, the naysayers, the desperate, and the darkened souls that it could be better. That is the same challenge today. As we remember Dr. King remember that the push for progress is not always easy. All kinds of impediments exist solely to throttle progress, but it has been proven that Black people in this country have a strong and proud foundation to build upon. Dr. King would tell you that. He would also tell you that even at the darkest of night, the light of day is never far away.

It's accepting the challenge to change one’s self, but not just change on the surface level as most of us do. Deep and abiding change does not come by talk only; it’s not trying to convince others to convince us that what we choose to do is right. Many of us are afraid of change or are only willing to do so if someone will hold our hand, it takes COURAGE to let go, even a child whose hand is being held at some point resist wanting to move freely on their own. Far too many of us still hold fast to our Stone Age mentality because it's safe to remain in our comfort zone, it's the place that no one can do us harm. If we are unwilling to get hurt (emotionally) we will never know the joy of healing and growing through pain and ultimately helping others. Life is a business that is constantly evolving and if we are not making necessary changes to keep up we will be left behind complaining and blaming others for our choices.
I dare you to stop blaming others for the things that take place in your life, I dare you to think beyond where you are to where you would like to be, and I dare you to allow yourself to be happy. We become powerful people the instant we stop allowing ourselves to believe what others are saying about us. I dare you to stop worrying about what you think others are thinking about you. What we are looking for is not outside of us, it’s built in, and it’s inside fighting to get out. I dare you to unshackle your mind and remove the weight of fear. There is no limit to what can be done. CHANGE- I DARE YOU

The national news media, particularly the television news media is obsessed with the calamity besetting the NFL (National Football League). On Friday, September 19th all four of the major broadcast television networks, as well as, all of the cable television news and sports networks broadcast the press conference by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Mind you, this was the commissioner of a sports league. Not the President talking about bombing Syria or sending troops to fight the Ebola outbreak in Africa. This was a sports commissioner talking about the soap opera that has become the NFL.

I ask why so much media attention for the NFL and one answer that I come up with is that this is the media’s continued attempt to demean and degrade young Black males. Never mind the fact that the majority of NFL players, Black, White or otherwise cause no trouble, are respected in their communities, and clearly know how to delineate what is appropriate behavior on and off the football field. But that’s not newsworthy. Instead the media chooses to repeat images over and over again showing Black males as aggressive and dangerous.

A second answer that I come up with is that the excessive media coverage is a diversion tactic designed to lessen the focus on all of the Black males who have recently died while engaged with law enforcement. The media no longer gives these cases attention, and it is a purposeful attempt to make people less concerned. But we cannot be distracted. We have to continually seek justice for Chavis Carter in Arkansas, Michael Brown in Missouri, Eric Garner in New York, John Crawford III in Ohio, and Charles Smith in Georgia; all Black males who died while engaged with police. Police officers have not been charged. Grand Juries are moving at a snail’s pace. They want you to forget. The television news media is using the NFL to obstruct justice.

The NFL will fix itself. It is a multi-billion dollar organization that will make the necessary adjustments. The intense media attention will not make any difference about that. But the television news media will continue to lead each newscast with the NFL, while people across America seek justice for those Black males killed seemingly for no reason. Just imagine how much quicker justice might be done if the news media gave the same kind of attention to those stories. But instead the television news media chooses to run a news conference by the Commissioner of the NFL at 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon; a time generally reserved for soap operas. But I guess that makes sense.

The images that we saw were of young boys and girls having fun, being committed, being skilled, being disciplined. But more important were the images of the parents who supported and encouraged these children. Parents who sacrificed so that their children could have this opportunity.

These are the images of the Black experience in America that are not portrayed nearly enough in the national media. We in the community know that the efforts of these parents is not unique. Indeed, Black parents work as hard and sacrifice as much as any other parent of any other ethnicity, but unfortunately, the media rarely offers those stories and images opting instead for the sensational.

We know that the media is driven by economics. Those images that grab attention are the ones used to sell newspapers and commercials. Too many times those images of the Black experience in America are not uplifting, but in the coverage of Taney of Philadelphia and Jackie Robinson West of Chicago, the images were good. The images were positive. And the images sold a lot of newspapers and commercials.

Her artistic abilities are without question, but what should also be acknowledged is the advocacy she and her husband, Ossie Davis, provided for education. She and Mr. Davis championed the need for quality education for children, particularly economically disadvantaged children. They believed that all children are important; that all children deserve to be educated; and that the only way that this will happen is if we, the adults in the room, take up the cause. In 1990, I had the opportunity to interview Ms Dee and Mr. Davis and hear, first hand, their passion for learning. You can see a portion of their discussion at SoulVisionTV.com. Their advocacy, no doubt, has made a difference in many places, and in many lives; and it still drives those who desire to make a difference in the lives of the future generations.

The passing of Dr. Maya Angelou has generated feelings of sadness for many. The personal revelation that she is no longer physically among us will make some feel forlorn. But, there also exists a joy, not in her death, but in her life. There are those whose continued existence is bolstered by some inspiration she gave them. When they were down and out, some word from Dr. Angelou lifted them; gave them strength; brought them joy. So while sadness may be expected, the joy comes from knowing that we were allowed to be in the same space in time and learn from Dr. Angelou’s greatness.

As Dr. Angelou’s life is being recalled it is clear that hers was a life that mattered. A multi-talented soul; she could dance, she could sing, she could act, but her gift from the Master was to give us words that would inspire. Her writings spoke to many, giving them reason to keep moving forward. That was Dr. Angelou’s purpose and she understood it well.

The tributes all recount the significance of Dr. Angelou’s life, but what is wonderful is that Dr. Angelou had the opportunity to hear all of these accolades while she lived. From dignitaries to everyday people, Dr. Angelou was constantly told and shown that she made a difference. That what she had given the world mattered. And this is so wonderful because Dr. Angelou was given her flowers while she could still smell them. The accolades did not suddenly come in death. She heard it all before she shut her eyes.

And that may be the lesson here. If someone matters in your life then it is best to let them know that while they live rather than express it in their eulogy. Dr. Angelou passed away clearly aware that she mattered to many. The eulogies will not offer any new insights as to why her life was significant. That was all done were while she lived. The good doctor Maya Angelou; leaving us with yet another lesson.

BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?

God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that

Me (humbled): OH

GOD: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.

Me: (ashamed)

God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.

Me (embarrassed):Okay

God: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.

Me (softly): I see God

God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.

Me: I'm Sorry God

God: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me.... in All things , the Good & the bad.

Me: I will trust You.

God: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.

Me: I won't God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.

God: You're welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children...

REPOST if you Believe in HIM

A benefit of a yearly birthday is the call to reflect upon events of a life, not so much as to measure them, but to understand how they fit into the biographical puzzle of one’s life.

As I rest in the celebration of this very special day--March 13, 1957, I am reminded of the African writer Ngugi Wa Thiong'o's idea concerning the collective memory of a people. Concentrated in the pit of my soul-consciousness is a celebratory piece of that memory as it relates to American history and culture. On March 13, 1859, John Brown brought the first black slaves to Canada from the US via the Underground Railway; a famous song was written in honor of him-- "John Brown's Body"-- about a raid he made on Harper's Ferry, Virginia."

I live to share gems from American and, more narrowly, African American history and culture. John Brown reminds me of this fact: there are European-Americans who were and are committed to fighting for the right of all Americans to enjoy a quality life and a sanctified liberty on these American shores.

This morning as I relax into my 57th year, I am reminded of two women who influenced my understanding concerning the European-American’s commitment to the equal rights of all Americans -- Viola Gregg Liuzzo and Virginia Durr.

I imagine each one of them often.

I see Mrs. Liuzzo driving to Alabama from Detroit to support the Selma to Montgomery March. Her unselfish action, an action that "got her" killed compels me on every Election Day to vote. On this day of thankful reflection, I think of a time not so long ago. I had recently moved to California. After the second year as an employee in the School of Religion at Loma Linda University, I felt this uneasiness; my voice was not being heard. I don’t know if it was because my office was housed in a closet or because of a question I received from a “colleague" about the speakers I invited to share with the Loma Linda community: “Are all your speakers black?” By the way—they were not! My voice seemed mangled in an inauthentic prism of privileged whiteness covered by this invisible sheet of so called Euro-American Seventh-day Adventist Christian liberalism that fashions itself as the friend and director of those minorities in need of an American “tour guide." The sad and dangerous reality about this kind of Euro-American Christian Seventh-day Adventist liberalism is it does not even know itself. Therefore it cannot own its shameful behavior. For this same Euro-American Seventh-day Adventist Christian liberal, the African American who loves the BEING of African Americaness is implicitly a “problem.” For them, to celebrate the goodness of the African American is an alien idea. For them, a discussion of the African American is a conversation about a problem, a pariah in need of help.

I thought about the catalogues of the schools I attended. Ramona, you should have looked at the School of Religion’s catalogue; that would have given you insight—Not one course-examining people of the African diaspora. No intellectual discussions on over two hundred million people—MERCY!

I was in an alien land-- Loma Linda, California.

I was saved by the ring of a cell phone. I answered.

   "Hello."

            "Is this Ramona?"

            "Yes."

I have had the same cell phone number with the same company for over 13 years. The woman on the other end of the phone said she was Mrs. Liuzzo's daughter. Years ago she'd come to Oakwood University, and I gave her a copy of my book. A poem written in honor of her mom is in that book. She spoke of what that poem meant to her. We ended our conversation, and I sat in my car. . . . Thinking . . .

Gosh, I love to share the stories--like the time I met that great civil rights worker--Virginia Durr. I'd gone to speak at Alabama State University. My topic: “Rosa Parks and the Montgomery Bus Boycott of 1955.” After the lecture, a woman came up to me and said, “Virginia Durr wants to meet you.” Virginia Durr wants to meet you.

I knew of Mrs. Durr. I'd read her book. I said, "Ok, where is she?”

“Home: She wants you to come to her home. “

I hold Mrs. Durr’s image in my heart; I still see that stack of books on the table, including hers: Outside the Magic Circle. My meeting and conversation with Mrs. Durr changed, as folk say, the interior of "my life”: it has carried me during the times when I felt my voice was being mangled. I still hear her say, "Ramona, we are all Americans."

That is the house that I live in, AMERICA, and I am happy to own a key to American possibility. Women like Mrs. Liuzzo and Mrs. Durr move me: they remind me of the Americans who are really about the business of equality for all Americans. If I were going to create a mural on a red dirt road about women whose lives have inspired me over the years, Mrs. Liuzzo and Mrs. Durr would be on it. As I celebrate my 57th year, I ask that you hug a mentor today, someone who "changed" your life.

And, of course, if you meet a Euro-American Seventh-day Adventist Christian “liberal” pretending to be for the equality of all people, you may have to pull him or her out on a red Alabama road, drag him or her to the grave of the late John Brown and tell him (her) this: Inequality hidden in an invisible sheet of so called Christian liberalism is still inequality. Now is the time to make John Brown’s song a lesson to follow.

Thankful for the blessing of a birthday!

What are your views on changing genres ? I love historical fiction. I love the research. I love taking a bit of our history, and building a story around it. Through hundreds of hours of research, I have learned far more about African-American history than I ever did through public education. As we speak, I am writing a story about an ex-slave married to a Buffalo Soldier, while writing the sequel to "Be Careful What You Wish For." Another very important reason why I remain true to historical fiction is this; I gave a speech at a local book club, and mentioned the Buffalo Soldiers. The audience thought the Buffalo Soldiers were soldiers who hunted buffalo. Swamp Panther is my one and only published work of Historical Fiction.

As the world recognizes the passing of Nelson Mandela, the tributes narrate how this former South African president’s life changed the world. Superlatives such as courageous, brave, passionate, compassionate, intelligent, and inspirational have all been used to describe Nelson Mandela’s life, but there was one statement that caught my attention. One tribute suggested that “there will never be another Nelson Mandela”. And that is true; there never will be because that is how the Creator planned it.

When Nelson Mandela was born into his earthly existence, the plan of what his life would become was already in place. Though challenged with obstacles that would crumble most, Mandela was given a strength that allowed him to endure. The impact he had on the world for his 95 years is exactly what the Creator planned. The same can be said for others whose presence on this earth has inspired us. There will only be one Ali; one Martin Luther King; one Rosa Parks, one Desmond Tutu, one Gandhi. We can learn from their writings. We can admire their courage. We can emulate their behaviors, but the reality is that these people only pass this way once. They are placed here to serve their purpose.

And so, the passing of President Mandela should prompt each if us to seek the purpose that the Creator has planned for us. Your purpose may not have world-wide ramifications, but it might make your family better. It might make your neighborhood or community better. What you do may inspire others, young or old, to be all that they can be. Connect with the Creator to find your purpose; then rely on the strength given to you by the Creator to fulfill your purpose, because there will never be another you.

The argument about Christmas Spirit vs. Christmas Commercialism is not new. Retailers have forever been seducing shoppers at Christmas time with all kinds of deals and specials. Most often it was a sideshow that only temporarily distracted humans from the real Spirit of Christmas. But today, it seems as though Christmas Commercialism, for many, is what Christmas is all about.

There is no doubt that the power of Christmas Spirit has long impacted the family of man. Humans, generally, treat one another friendlier during this time of year. Wars stop because of Christmas. People give to the less fortunate in a spirit of kindness. Christmas has an enduring universal power that makes most humans, regardless of religious beliefs or practices, understand that caring for one another is simply the right thing to do.

Christmas Commercialism attempts to create its own power. For many retailers and their media cohorts, it’s all about getting the consumer to spend. They promise deals on items that they know won’t be in the store. They create “scheduled” specials designed to manipulate your time. This is nothing new; it has gone on for years.

The problem, as I see it, is that the consumer is starting to drink the cool-aid more and more. People leave their Thanksgiving dinner tables to go shop instead of sharing family history and stories. People camp out overnight to be one of the first in line to get that big-screen TV that will only last until next Christmas. People are mean and rude to one another fighting over shopping carts, parking spaces, and that last item on the shelf. They cuss at one another, they become physical with one another, they disrespect one another, not because of the Christmas Spirit, but because of Christmas Commercialism.

The retailers are not going to change. Their souls were lost a long time ago. However, as humans, we have the power to determine how we respond. We need to remember that Christmas is about peace on earth and goodwill to all, not charging credit cards to the max then taking the next year to pay them off.

Somehow I don’t think that when (or if) you get to the Pearlie Gates, St. Peter is going ask you about that deal you got on that TV.

Africa is a vast continent in which lives thousands of different tribes with different languages and cultures. Adapted to its diverse geographical factors, Africa presents its rich culture, custom and heritage through attires, dress and costumes worn by the people. The style of traditional clothes which differs from country to country, are sometimes similar in other countries. In this case talking about traditional clothes in Africa is a very broad subject.

Nigerian is a country with different ethnic people well presented in its traditional dressing and culture. The Yoruba have their unique way of dressing and the Igbo also have their own attires. Materials used to create the styles or fashion is very important. For example lace, adire and ankara are some of the materials used to create attractive wears for both men and women. Men usually wear agbada, buba, fila and sokoto, while women put on buba, kaba, iborun and iro.

In West Africa, there are specific countries due to its religious influence similar dressing and style is commonly seen. Boubou is sleeveless attire wore by men over long sleeve gowns or loose trousers. The female attires are usually sewn long and lose to cover every part of the body and mostly the men used the same fabric for trousers and upper wears. Apart from culture which plays important role in ethnic wears, religion also determines clothes used.

There are special attires which name quickly brings attention to specific countries they originated. Kente is a famous traditional cloth manufactured in Ghana. It is a ceremonial hand –woven cloth, representing Ghana’s history, philosophy and ethics. It is the most widely used cloth during important social and religious occasions by kings, queens and chiefs. Originating from the Ashanti kingdom, the history of Kente dates back three hundred and seventy-five years ago.

The beauty of Africa in its diverse creativity of traditional wears is rapidly influencing the fashion world in advanced countries. Kente and other African clothes are bringing African-inspired clothing world into the commercial fashion spotlight overseas. Some celebrities including famous musicians’ wardrobes contain fashions combined with African clothes, lifting the image of the continent. Africa may be referred to as the Dark Continent in terms of colour but the ‘dark ‘is also that magic or secrete behind its rich culture, custom, heritage and tradition.
