AOL and Yahoo! have partnered with Goodmail Systems to defend against fraud and phishing. AOL has regularly blocked images and hyperlinks in mass-mailed messages, unless senders are on the AOL Ehanced Whitelist. This service provides a new way for email recipients to recognize email they want to receive from organizations with whom they do business. Sounds like an interesting concept, but is it strong enough to keep those dirty spammers away?

Did you know that out of the 44 million U.S residents that move each year only 30% actually take the time to fill out a change of address card? That’s a big figure, especially if it involves a large percentage of your own customers.
The US Postal Service has an NCOA (National Change of Address) System that a limited number of companies are licensed to access. These companies are able to take the list that you’ve purchased, or compiled yourself, and check it against the USPS system. Typically, you’ll receive a report to let you know if anyone in your database has moved, gone out of business or had a name change.
