Fantastic! I hope I picked up all the jokes though... I definitely got most of it.. The only one I am confused about is maybe the Boston Creme Pie reference.. Is it suppose to mean something else? Had me LOLing!!! Definitely a joke that is below you... (I almost put beneath you, but that sounded kind of dirty after reading this.)

Coin-op microwaves? See, I knew there was a reason why I never got into the corporate world... I'd have to sneak in late at night and throw those out the window, or duct tape the door shut, or... something evil. In fact, that sounds kind of fun. Where do you work? :P

Ken, I'm not sure you and I are on the same page after seeing how you moved Kelsi out to the loading dock. It's difficult to be efficient when you're surrounded by ugly people. At this point I think you're in pretty deep water. You should just go all in and apply for a federal bailout. The paperwork alone is worth the 15 large they're paying you.

I'm fond of lists. Lots of lists. I've found that if you spend several hours a day on your lists, you'll be more organized.

The problem is I have bad handwriting - so now I type the lists out on my computer, print them off on expensive cardstock, and then paste them carefully into my Blackbookberry, so I can check them off.

I think making lists is an essential part of an efficiency experts job. Start by making lists of people, office furniture, budgets, meetings, and maybe have a meeting or two where you come up with lists of lists that you need.

That's an extra six months of billing, my friend.

Some call it "Rightsizing", "Re-Engineering", or "Re-Organization". This is the safe haven for all efficiency experts. When in doubt, move people around. If you succeed and D&S is more efficient you can take the credit. If not, then you tell them that "Re-Engineering" is a journey not a destination. The best part is you get a repeat gig to try to take the new failed organization and make it more efficient. Heck, back in my day, we use to purposefully create an imperfect organization so that we get paid to come back and fix it. Done properly you can design the imperfection into the model knowing how and what to improve - that makes your return gig a no-brainer. Re-Engineering means new org charts, pictures and diagrams. This is where your Blackbookberry will come in handy. You can design new organization charts faster than with a Slackberry. Hierarchical, matrixed, and even shared services organizational models can be quickly drafted. The WORM stylus is better suited for this type of work than the Slackberry's keyboard. To do the same with a Slackberry would mean composing pictures and diagrams using special characters - like the old dot matrix pictures of Albert Einstein printed on the back of greenbar paper. Although the Slackberry method does have a bit of coolness and a minor WOW factor it just is not efficient; and remember you are an efficiency expert.

Ken,

I am glad you asked for help. The first sign of enlightenment is acknowledging you can't do it alone. With my help and others like me, you are sure to collect that big fat pay day. Don't forget to share a little love for your brother when standin' in the bank tellers queue.

The first you place you have to go is people. Pick the ones that nobody will miss until after you are gone. It can't be the guys that changes the toilet paper or the one that delivers the daily paper. That crew is just to visible. Now the furnace maintenance guy can go missing for months and nobody will know. So what if little carbon monoxide leaks into air or some oily rags pile up by the firebox. You will be long gone before something bad happens. Take out two or three of these positions or services and you have immediate savings to show your client.

Take that one to the bank!!!!

At work I sometimes hear people clicking on their slackberry while they are in the bathroom stall. Can a BlackBookBerry be used like this?

What about installing little desks, sort of like those airline trays that fold over your lap? My projections show this would add 32.5 minutes a day of work productivity, per person.

DUDE! WTF?! You work for an American company selling to an American consumer! You're killing me. And you know what's killing me the most? You speak English! You just did it in the comment post. I walk past you every day and I never hear a word of English. You're always on the phone racking up long distance bills and cutting into the bottom line. Who are you even talking to? We don't have operations in any other country anywhere else. Grrrr.

That's what I'm talking about! Nice work Tammy. Get out there! Beg, steal and borrow. My boys are cranking up the widget machine and ready to make as much as you can sell. They will of course exceed Operations expectations due to my Phil-osophy. Know what I mean shooter?
