We accept:
too many incidents of cruelty
too many situations where the scales of justice are tilted
too many broken promises
too many worthless dreams
When is enough going to be enough? When will we accept nothing less than treatment that is humane? When will we stand up before we are knocked down and kicked publicly?

These are questions that we should ask everyday and we should not be sitting until everyone stands. We should stand strong at all times.

I Am A Black Person
I Am Royalty
I Won’t Accept Treatment That Is Less Than That At Anytime
Can and Will You Say The Same Everyday?

The only way that differences can be made is if things are done differently. Maybe standing strong together and with each other is the answer. We have stood divided and we see where it has gotten us.

Sometimes we have to fight the wrong in our world with things that are right. Hatred is wrong in any way that you see it and love will always be a weapon that we can use to fight hatred. People stood together to say that the death of a young man wearing a hoodie was wrong and that we will not tolerate this type of hatred. This was a show of strength but what we must remember is that this hatred was not eliminated and the people that hold this hate are fighting back.

At the very bottom of this message is a petition letter about a company that created a product that is a hooded gun target that even has Skittles and an ice tea. The picture of the product will be placed below a product that promotes a positive message, because it is our duty to provide positive images that should be seen much more than the negative images like the gun target.

Let us fight this hatred by:

There are over 30 positive stories of Black Men and Women in each book. Help spread these stories with your purchases.

1. Supporting positive products like “I Am Royalty” in the same ways that negative products are being created. People financially support negative products and this helps them exist, we need the same type of financial support for positive products. Click Here To Purchase “I Am Royalty: Profiles In Black History.”

2. Take the time to share your story in the next available volume and also ask other positive men and women to do the same. We are interested in positive stories about people in education, politics, writing, publishing, social work, ministering, entrepreneurial spirit, communications, public service, media, and working with other youth just to name a few. Click Here To Share Your Story In The Next Volume.

3. Please show your support by leaving a comment below, along with your business link. Your message will be shared on this website and also on the social networks we are involved in.

4. Read the letter below and sign the petition.

In the past couple of days, news sources have reported that the Hiller Armament Company of Virginia has been selling gun targets that look like Trayvon Martin, complete with a hoodie, Skittles, and iced tea.

Sign The Petition to investigate the company and punish them if they have broken the law

It’s not just vile, it’s possibly illegal: Virginia law says that no one can profit off of the likeness of any person without his consent — even if that person has been killed. But as soon as reporters started asking questions, the Hiller Armament Company shut down its website and disconnected its phone.

Tahir Duckett lives in Virginia, and he wants Virginia’s Attorney General, Ken Cuccinelli, to investigate the Hiller Armament Company and punish them if they have broken the law.

Click here to sign Tahir’s petition demanding that Attorney General Cuccinelli investigate the company for selling gun targets made to look like Trayvon Martin.

I Am Royalty: Profiles In Black History Volume 1 is the 1st published book in the I Am Royalty: Profiles In Black History Series. These books are biographical anthologies compiled to serve as bridges throughout many different communities.

One of the main reasons for the creation of these anthologies is shortages of positive role models in some Black American communities. Positive role models exist, but their roles are sometimes over-shadowed by negative messages or images that represent the successes that young people sometimes strive for. Doctors, teachers, spiritual leaders, small business owners, political leaders, and community activists are not promoted as much as negative aspects of life.

Other reasons are symptoms of this problem are:

- Distorted visions of reality and the future

- Lack of resources or ignorance to the existence of the resources that are available

- Over-looked opportunities

- Lack of support for common goals from people that disagree on specific approaches

Emmanuel Brown gathered over 35 individuals for this project and decided to use a direct approach in distributing the books. Emmanuel says “there are very few book stores in Black American communities” and he also stated that “the young people that he is attempting to reach are not the biggest supporters of bookstores. We must deliver these messages of hope to the young people, where they are, and by using ways that they will receive them.”

Emmanuel has the books available at LabelMeRoyalty.com, Amazon, independent distributors, online and offline publishers; but he explains that purchasing the books through LabelMeRoyalty.com, independent distributors or from neighborhood events are the most effective. “Purchasing products from the website leaves us with more usable revenue for overhead, independent distributors or book stores support your communities, and neighborhood events support the people hosting the events. In many case community events are hosted by neighborhood organizations that directly depend on funding from grants or donations, these books are meant to provide possibilities and the possibilities do not exclude financial support for their efforts.” Emmanuel also asks the question “if we do not support each other, who will?”

Understanding that many young people do not visit book stores, helped Emmanuel Brown decide to market the books through LabelMeRoyalty.com and to worry less about the sales that he would receive through major book retailers that the first 2 volumes are available on. Emmanuel says: “Many young people do not visit bookstores, so I am not focused on making sales through outlets like Barnes and Noble, Borders, and even Amazon. I believe that I can reach my target and keep more revenue for production by focusing on sales that originate from LabelMeRoyalty.com.

By marketing the books in this way they can be used as fund raising tools for Black American groups, organizations and churches. This also shares inspiration, hope and unity with the communities that are trying to be reached.

38 Black/African-American Men and Women have come together to create this volume. Volume 1 of I Am Royalty: Profiles In Black history includes the stories of Mikal El-Amin, Aleta L. Williams, Toni Y. Odom, Andrionna L. Williams, Frank Pete, Angela Murphy, Angela M. Thomas, Pasha Hunt-Golliday, Alan Gates , Vanessa Richardson, Winter Giovanni, Sherryl “SaythatPraiZe” Hooks, Jonathan Anthony Burkett, Yolanda Zellous, Ava Ross, Renda Rose, Cleous Young, Diane Latiker, Shani Greene-Dowdell, Ayani Meli, William Jackson, Jacqueline Amos, Pam Osbey, Kezia Davis, Garry Lawrence, Lolita Buck, Nicole Shelton, Sharlisse Rashied, Glenn Grace, Kanday Reign-Ali, Katrina Lola-Gurl, April L. Johnson, Deondriea Cantrice, Donald Payne, Carolyn Mattocks, Nita Dawson, Adrienna Turner and Emmanuel Brown.

Our mission is to take these stories into places that need positive light and spread these lights into some of darkest areas. We will share our stories throughout schools, churches, community groups, and throughout the streets to begin recruiting our youth for productive activities.

Emmanuel has collaborated with Black/African-American Men and Women that represent different backgrounds, upbringings, fields of business, and options (for the future) that can be followed.

He is currently administering a letter writing campaign that is focused on reaching the Black owned media to thank them for providing stories to the community and to offer them positive content to distribute that comes from the 100+ people that have contributed to the 3 volumes that have been published.

Emmanuel hopes that this campaign will give him the support of organizations like the National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Greek organizations that it is comprised of, the black churches and the National Black Church Initiative, black schools, black business people, black teachers, black grass roots organizations.”

Emmanuel say “this project is bigger than me and I know that I can not do it alone, but I can keep contacting people to ask for them to participate. Everyone does not ignore my messages and everyone does not say “NO this is not for me.”" He say that the rejections are motivating enough to remember that role models are not present and that those who step up deserve the support of the people.

He closes by saying that “children are watching us and they absorb the characteristics that stand out. We can not attack their culture and expect them to accept it, we have to provide them options. Telling them that We Are Royalty and that they should say Label Me Royalty so much that they hear these messages more than the negative ones is a great start, but only a beginning.”

Label Me Royalty is the publishing label for I Am Royalty: Profiles In Black History. I Am Royalty: Profiles In Black History is a series of anthologies that share the stories of Black American Men and Women. We refer to each of these stories as Profiles In Black History.

Each Volume of I Am Royalty: Profiles In Black History serves as a bridge throughout many different communities. The purposes of these bridges are to close gaps that are left and to create productive routes for the young people who live within them. Over 30 Black American Men and Women come together to bring each volume life. We are actively recruiting Black Americans to continue this effort, making this project an on-going event. We are also showing that the support of positive things can create progressive results. We are not attempting to ignore the ills that plague our society. Our emphasis is on the successful parts and the positive images that create success.

These books reach the minds of young people by showing support in ways that allow them to see positive examples that Black Men and Women are setting in our communities. This initiative shares positive influences that will help over-shadow the negative images playing a dominant role in how Black Americans are seen.

We began publishing I Am Royalty: Profiles In Black History in 2010. This was done to reach the young people who are not focused on computers and book stores. Our focus is on reaching the young people that populate our communities through adults, and much less on populating places that are out of their focus. So we are constantly creating books that are filled with faces that might be more recognizable and stories of successes that seem reachable.

These books are targeting schools, churches, detention centers, group homes, youth programs and our street corners. Our books are finding their way to these places and we are doing our best to make sure that they have a more visually powerful presence in these areas. One of our missions is to take these stories into places that need positive light and spread these lights into some of darkest areas. We share our stories throughout schools, churches, community groups, and throughout the streets to begin recruiting our youth for productive activities.

We have collaborated with Black American Men and Women that represent different backgrounds, upbringings, fields of business, and options (for the future) that can be followed.

Please pick a copy today, share these stories with the youth that you come in contact with and share your story to help us continue spreading positive alternatives. Contact us for quantity discount pricing.

Browsing through Facebook, I saw “Larry Hoover’s” Fanpage on Facebook. I am not sure if it was authentic, if it was created by family or friends, created by a wanna be, or created by an outside source to gather information about who is actually affiliated with the organization that he built.

During this visit, I noticed the comments that were made by people that might not understand what or who they are actually fighting. I also saw the disrespectful comments arise. One thing that I did notice was a post from someone that asked this same question. Could Larry Hoover, Jeff Fort, Willie Johnson STOP Chicago Violence?

This question made me wonder could they stop the violence? Could other gang leaders across the country stop the violence in their areas? Do the young people of today know who these people actually are? How many of our young people would subscribe to their newsletters, e-zines, or tweets?

What exactly would these men say to our young people?

Please let us know what you think about this subject, maybe we might find some common ground or a solution.

The following questions were asked to “Fans of The Empowerment Experiment” – which is a group on Facebook by Mrs Darlene Robinson:

OK, Fans of The Empowerment Experiment… I have a few questions for us as a group… (1) What can we do in our own communities to help promote more Black on Black buying? (2) How many of us have actually purchased the book “Our Black Year”? I know personally I have had more than my share of financial issues, my husband and I had to close down our very successful business in Dec 2010. But we are launching an all new biz next month that we are very excited about. Even during the time when we were living day to day (I mean not knowing how to feed ourselves and our 2 teens) we tried to support our own pharmacies, gas stations, grocery stores etc. for daily purchases as much as possible.

I joined this group to support Maggie Anderson and her family. To be a cheerleader and to follow their example of going out of their way to exclusively BUY BLACK for an entire year. Let me be totally honest with you, some days when I visit this page I am very discouraged, because I see my own people trying to recruit for the MLM companies that are run by other ethnic groups. Or major extravaganzas where we get to meet the VP’s of white owned companies who are going to tell us as Black people how to become millionaires.

Please tell me if I am wrong…I thought we were going to share info about Black owned businesses that we could support. I thought we were going to actually, actively go out and find Black owned businesses in our own communities just like Maggie and her family did so that we could buy from them…And ultimately…give uplifting words of encouragement to Maggie and her family for all the sacrifices they suffered thru to make it thru that yearlong process… I’m just saying this is how I feel right now…Please share your comments and especially I would like to see some answers to the questions I posed at the beginning.

Much Love…Darlene Robinson
