Veteran thespian Morgan Freeman is on board to star alongside Diane Keaton in an upcoming picture called Life Itself, a comedy based on the Jill Ciment novel Heroic Measures.

The story resolves around a long-married New York couple who find themselves swept into an emotional and comical real estate bidding war when they put their beloved downtown apartment on the market — and must come to terms with the possibility of moving from the home where they have spent most of their adult lives.

Freeman and Lori McCreary’s Revelations Entertainment will produce with Latitude Productions. McCreary, Curtis Burch, Peters and Tracy Mercer are producing, and Freeman will executive produce. According to Deadline.com Myriad’s Kirk D’Amico and David Ducar negotiated international sales rights to the film and the company and introduced the project at Cannes.

Movie Poster: Idris Elba As Nelson Mandela In ‘Long Walk To Freedom’

The new teaser movie poster just arrived for the upcoming film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, starring Idris Elba — and we’re hearing “Oscar Buzz” already. Really.

Backed by The Weinstein Company, the film is directed by Justin Chadwick (The Other Boleyn Girl) from a screenplay by William Nicholson. The film will center on most of Mandela’s life story, starting with his childhood in South Africa and tracing the man’s steps all the way to his election as the first black president of South Africa in 1994.

As we told you previously, the equally amazing Naomie Harris (Skyfall) is on board as Winnie Mandela. The film is looking at a November 29th release date in the U.S.

Think it’ll be better than Winnie, the 2011 drama starring Terrence Howard and Jennifer Hudson as Nelson and Winnie?

Most likely.

Letoya Luckett, Damien Wayans and Lesley-Ann Brandt Added to Cast of VH1′s ‘Single Ladies’

Letoya Luckett, Damien Wayans and Lesley-Ann Brandt have been added to VH1‘s series Single Ladies, Deadline.com reports.

The three are set for major recurring/possible regular roles.

Luckett will play Felicia Price, the icy and aloof founder and Senior Partner of Price Management, one of the most influential music management companies in the world. Wayans will play David Berenger, April’s (Charity Shea) main foil at Price Management — a masterful sycophant, and a slick manager on the Atlanta music scene.

Brandt plays Naomi Cox, a demure, sexy, scheming gold-digger who is a constant thorn in Keisha’s (LisaRaye McCoy) side.
