Austin Haynes Should Be Citizen Of The Year

When Manassas City had to cut the annual employee picnic because of budget constraints, Parks and Recreation Committee Chair Austin Haynes felt city residents and businesses could step in and help. Without anyone asking him to do so, he raised the funds to host a picnic for city employees, saying “the employees of the City of Manassas are tremendous, and deserve a picnic.” This is in addition to his plan to raise funds for the Parks and Recreation by swimming 5.1 miles and doinf 510 push-ups in 510 minutes on his 51st birthday this year.

I don’t know if Manassas has a “Citizen of the Year” award, but if they do, Austin Haynes deserves it.

Obama Protects Racists Who Intimidate Voters

Maybe you thought this administration gave a whit about enforcing laws that protect the civil rights of Americans. Perhaps you bought into the rhetoric liberals typically trot out about preventing voter intimidation. The recent behavior of Attorney General Eric Holder should utterly dispel such false notions, and the fact that Representative Frank Wolf can’t get any answers from the Obama Administration while the whole of the Democratic Party plays their “see no evil, if done by our people” game should make it perfectly clear that the only interest Democrats have in protecting civil liberties is when doing so helps them gain or maintain political power. Peter Farrell Must Have Something Really Juicy

I wonder what Manassas Park Councilman Peter Farrell (D) did to upset Mayor Frank Jones, given the surprising announcement of Farrell being indicted for election fraud, which is a Class 5 felony offense. Farrell is among those with the least amount of time to rack up felony offenses, and probably among the least guilty of unlawful behavior on the Council. He is too junior to be involved in shady dealings on public construction projects in the park, he wasn’t on the Council when it decided to invest municipal bond proceeds in a “low risk, high return” fund managed by AIG, and he hasn’t directed zoning enforcement officials to harass local businesses out of Manassas Park (like Artisan Auto Body) when they happened to be situated on property the Manassas Park Cabal wanted to redevelop. A second attempted abduction in Manassas has prompted the Manassas City Police Department to issue the following press release. Everyone should be watching for this vehicle so we can take this trash that preys on young teenage girls and throw it in jail.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION:
Dark blue / Navy blue minivan, possibly Dodge Caravan, red “pine tree” air freshener hanging from the rear view mirror, tinted windows from the rear sliding door to the back.

SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:
Hispanic male, late 30’s early 40’s, black crew cut hair style, wearing a black “tank top” t-shirt and blue jeans, with tan “timberland ” style boots, spoke English well.

Jay O’Brien’s Tea Party Opening

Former State Senator Jay O’Brien emceed the Prince William County Independence Day Tea Party and did a truly wonderful job, leaving a lot of participants rather eager to see Jay return to public service as an elected official. Mirroring the text of the Declaration of Independence, Jay enumerates many of the the outrages of Congress and the current Administration in a powerful appeal for American citizens to stand up to the tyranny we’ve been seeing and take our country back. Our country cannot long sustain the irresponsible behavior of our federal elected officials, and it’s up to us to do something about this.

About 400-500 people showed up for this event, and as you can tell the speeches were terrific! Many thanks to the organizers and speakers for putting on a great event!

Frank Principi Gets “Stimulus” For Illegal Aliens

Woodbridge Supervisor Frank Principi is mighty pleased with Obama’s stimulus lately, since the Greater Prince William Community Health Center at which he serves as Executive Director just got $1.5 million in federal “stimulus” funds and is now embarking on an expansion of their Woodbridge operation. The clinic ostensibly provides medical services for poor and uninsured residents, although they make no effort whatsoever to determine whether their clients have legal presence the United States. In so doing they are quite intentionally providing taxpayer-funded services to illegal aliens. It’s taxpayer-subsidized medical care, no questions asked, and an astonishing proportion of our public healthcare expenses are already being provided to persons who shouldn’t be in our country. For folks like Frank Principi, who has a vested interest in the question, the more illegal aliens we provide with taxpayer-funded services, the better. (more…)

Today my channel on YouTube blew through the 10,000 video view mark, which I thought was pretty neat considering I don’t have dozens of liberal bloggers and mainstream media outlets promoting everything that I upload, as some on the other side of the political aisle often enjoy. These videos are getting viewers only because they’re telling the story you don’t get from the local mainstream media outlets, and while 10K isn’t a huge accomplishment for local interest issues (to which almost all of these videos relate) it’s a pretty respectable number.

The buzz I’m hearing is that the turnout at the Independence Day Tea Party at the McCoart Center in Prince William County is going to be tremendous. The importance of that cannot be overstated, since this is not an election year for Congress and the only thing that will get their attention in an off-election year are very large, boisterous and highly passionate protests. Without strong citizen participation, Congress and the Administration will continue their hugely irresponsible over-spending and debt creation believing that the American public isn’t going to remember any of this about a year and a half from now. To get their attention and force them into behaving with some semblance of fiscal responsibility, the American public is going to have to scare the heck out of them, and this is precisely the way to do it. Will Webb And Warner Confirm This Nutcase?

This satire piece, appearing in the DC Examiner pretty much nails the judicial outlook of Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor. I can’t imagine any rational reason why Senators Warner and Webb would vote to confirm someone like this who clearly values racial preferences over the Constitution, other than following a mindless intent to support whatever insane decision Harry Reid and The Messiah Obama make. Unfortunately, instead of representing the people that elected them, that’s precisely the way these Senators have been voting. One of the larger groups pushing for Obamacare is none other than the ethnic chauvinists of the “National Council of La Raza”. Why would a group devoted to obtaining amnesty for illegal aliens and racial preferences for Latinos be weighing in so heavily in a national health care debate? It turns out that at least according to them, Obamacare isn’t about giving lower income Americans better access to health insurance and healthcare, it’s about providing public benefits to non-citizens, many of whom are Hispanic. News & Messenger Can’t Take The Truth

What do Prince William County’s “Fugitive of the Week” and child rapist Marcos Danilo Reyes Banegas and recently convicted triple-murderer Anastacio Miranda Sanchez have in common? They’re both illegal aliens. You wouldn’t know that from reading the Manassas News & Messenger which did articles on both of these recently (see here and here) but failed to mention in either case the immigration status of these two vermin. I guess the News & Messenger would rather avoid the whole debate on the issue of criminal illegal aliens rather than provide the public with important information that might have a significant bearing on the laws and policies our elected officials enact. Keep ‘em dumb and happy. Bread and circuses for the masses. (more…)

Sterling Town Hall Meeting Wednesday

Gang activity and violence isn’t just happening in Prince William County, it’s all over Northern Virginia. Over in the Sterling Park area of Loudoun County they’ve had a rash of this as well, and this Wednesday they’re going to have a Town Hall Meeting about it. If you’re in Loudoun County, attending a meeting like this may give you critical information about what you can do about gangs and access to local elected officials who will discuss legislative opportunities to more effectively combat them. TQ points out this evening that when the House of Representatives passed the “Cap and Tax” bill that if enacted would certainly raise our energy costs through the roof, the actual text of the bill they were voting on wasn’t available to the Congressmen being asked to vote on it. Yeah, this is our federal government, so caught up in global warming hysteria that they can’t even bother to complete drafting a bill to impoverish us all in order to combat ludicrous problems that don’t even exist before they demand elected officials to endorse them. Fed up with taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal aliens? Outraged with Gerry Connolly’s vote in favor of a massive tax hike scheme on energy this week, or his vote to bring Gitmo prisoners to Virginia? Send a message to Congress and the administration that we are fed up with socialism and have some fun at the Taxed Enough Already Party at the McCoart building from 1-4PM. Wellington Targeted By 18th Street Gang

UPDATE: Two suspects arrested! A new version of the video including information about the suspects is now available.

Today residents of the Wellington neighborhood in Manassas awoke to find an abundance of 18th Street gang graffiti on public and private property in their neighborhood. Even someone as friendly to the cause of illegal aliens as California Senator Dianne Feinstein has documented in a report that 80% of the members of this gang are illegal aliens. Until government, at all levels gets serious about addressing the problem of illegal immigration, we will continue to see transnational gangs such as this one, which has ties to Mexican and Columbian drug cartels, continue to be a problem in our community.

Bob Marshall Wins Another One

The 4th Circuit affirmed the constitutionality of Virginia’s ban on partial-birth abortion yesterday, ruling in Richmond Medical Center v. Herring that a three judge panel of the same court had erred in declaring the law passed in 2003 was unconstitutional. This should end the effort by some in the “pro choice” crowd to protect the ability of abortionists to suck the brains out of partially-delivered babies, but an appeal here is possible, albeit rather unlikely. We shouldn’t have to be discussing such gruesome topics, and hopefully this will close the discussion and thanks to Bob Marshall, we will. (more…)
