Keith Fimian held a press conference in front of Gerry Connolly’s district office today where he delivered a tough critique of the current 2,000 plus page monstrosity of a bill that the House is debating. You’d think Democrats would at least allow consideration of some of the common-sense alternatives that Keith and other Republicans are advocating, but Nancy Pelosi is determined to ram this atrocity down our throats before anyone has had a chance to actually read the bill, and Gerry Connolly seems more than willing to do whatever she wants, rather than listen to the views of his constituents. Connolly has been telling people that he wasn’t sure how he would vote on the monstrosity of the ObamaCare bill and wanted to get more information and see how the bill was amended.  Without any amendments to the bill being agreed to, Connolly was just on the floor indicating he would support the bill.  Yeah, like there was ever any doubt Connolly would do anything different than Nancy Pelosi instructed him to do.

My condolences to any of his constituents who were under the impression that Gerry Connolly would represent them in Congress.

So far it’s looking like this buffoon Dave Marsden, who barely escaped getting beaten by an under-funded, relative unknown in his House District race this week, is the most likely Democrat to run for the Senate seat now vacated by Ken Cuccinelli in the 37th Senate District. Marsden even has to move into the district to qualify as a candidate! Oh, I can’t wait for this one…

Today there are lots of people trying to lobby their elected officials on the health care bill pending in Congress, and Gerry Connolly tried to get one of them arrested on false charges of assault, setting a new standard for utterly abysmal, beyond-the-pale horrible constituent service. On the good news front, I don’t think there’s any way we’re going to have to deal with Jeanette Rishell as a candidate ever again.  On the bad news front, Jackson Miller may not have Jeanette Rishell as an opponent in 2011.  This one was such a blowout that Rishell will likely never run again for office, and her campaign manager Ilana Kaplain-Shain is probably looking for a career in retail sales about now.  About the only thing better than running against Jeanette Rishell is running unopposed, and the difference isn’t all that great. Bob McDonnell crushes Deeds 59-41, Bill Bolling wallops Wagner 56-44, and Ken Cuccinelli pounds Shannon 58-42.  Republicans pick up what looks to be six seats, with Morefield, Villanueva, Stolle, LeMunyon, Greason, Garrett, Anderson and Comstock winning, and Hamilton and Lopez coming up short.  Democrats also manage to lose the Governor’s race in New Jersey.

Do you hear that, Obama, Pelosi and Reid?

I’ll start going through the numbers tomorrow, along with a discussion of some really strange numbers coming out of the Pattie precinct in the 52nd District in the Lieutenant Governor’s race, that somehow cast 4,000 votes for Jody Wagner, four times the number of votes that were cast in for McDonnell and Deeds.

Above all, get all your friends to get out there and vote.  With such a positive outcome on the horizon, we really need to take advantage of the current political environment and send a strong message to Washington that we’re not at all happy with what we’re seeing.

Bob McDonnell sure got the huge crowd at the PWC Victory Rally all fired up for the last day of the campaign with this great speech.  Bob was introduced by his daughter Jeanine and was interrupted by applause numerous times.  This looks like quite a capable and confident ticket, but regardless they sure are working hard on the last day of the campaign.  This is only one of several rallies across the Commonwealth that McDonnell, Bolling and Cuccinelli attended.

Bill Bolling sure helped energize the huge Prince William County crowd that showed up for him today, and he didn’t even have to mention once who he was running against. Here are his remarks at the PWC Victory Rally in Bristow that fired up the crowd.

As usual, Ken is great with an energized crowd, and this one sure was. Here are his remarks at the PWC Victory Rally in Bristow earlier today. To put a big fat exclamation point on Ken’s great campaign, while I was posting this I got a robo-call from the Deeds campaign begging me to reach out to voters who “weren’t as committed as I was” and get them to the polls. Yeah, the Dems are in trouble this year.
