Entries show the number of views or reading entries and most read pages, not all.
Traffic sources shows the origins of traffic on our blog:

Since the emergence of blogs a few years ago, many teachers have focused our efforts on creating classroom blogs, characterized by its educational activities for students. Such is the momentum behind this new way of publishing educational content already created several awards for bringing these blogs for their open and communicative methodology. I spent a few years ago I published as a reflection of the blog The classroom experience , and now present a sample drawn from two separate fifty activities classroom blogs that I have added two planets posts open to the participation of many teachers. 1. Presentation of the fifty activities

Here I present this monumental experience not only for its actual realization, but it has announced for the future. Only when viewed in detail the effort they put these teachers to create activities for their classroom blogs and see the fruits of this work is given an account not only how beautiful and attractive is that effort, but also importance in an area as fundamental to society is education.

It should be borne in mind that we are exploring new ground and therefore we have no precise guides and safe on the roads to follow. We know that the methodology should support these activities is constructivism, that students (and teachers) are the actors in constructing their own knowledge, and that the goals are always communicative and participatory. But we have other educational experiences to our credit that we can not leave if they can be useful. 2. How to improve the activities of classroom blogs

The appeal and overall quality of these blogs are obvious, and should learn from their creations as inspiration for ours. But we do an exercise in humility and also learn from its shortcomings. Therefore, I dare to make the following considerations in order to contribute to the improvement of classroom blogs, they may be able to be countered with another point of view different from mine:
Most blog posts are short and so are their activities and tasks, which is consistent with the characteristics of blogs, the reading is done quickly. However, there are activities too short, why not offer sufficient explanation for students to perform tasks.
No one doubts the goodness of multimedia educational activities to configure, but there is an excess of media, especially video, perhaps because their inclusion in the blog is easy. The inclusion of a video in an entry must be the perfect complement to an already designed and produced, but in any case, a video should not justify an entry alone, but should be accompanied by an activity or task.
Activities abound including external links related to the subject, and that is very important for students to supplement their knowledge. However, there are instructions on how to use such external sites or how to navigate through some websites that students do not know. And sometimes these sites include advertising, and we must be very careful about this, especially when our students are minors.
The images clearly illustrate the content and attract the reader's attention, so they should always use, but its abundance might be disturbed. However, there are entries that do not have images or other multimedia elements.
The comments are a fundamental aspect to be more careful, because most blogs have no comments. With the comments, students actively participate in the blog. Addition, students write a few blogs entries, and this should be a priority to enable communication and collaboration, although it is laborious.
The lateral gadgets or modules are important to the informational aspect of blogs, but sometimes they are abused and blogs are filled with gadgets that, if you think about it, hardly used. Some of these gadgets are multimedia elements, by weight, slow page loading, and also some cause advertising pop-ups. The approach should follow is to include only the gadgets that can be useful and discard those that are only decorative.
In general, there are few interactive activities of their own, and sent students to external sites for testing or other types of exercises created by others. That's not bad if the external pages are well chosen and do not include advertising, but we should strive to create their own activities that are certain in this presentation. There are so complicated to make as it looks.
I hope these tips are useful, especially for those just beginning to publish educational activities on the Web. The posts of these two planets have very good activities, as seen in the selection of this group of hardworking blogfesor, but it is constructive criticism from time to time to keep us alert and to allow us to improve our work.

The articles or posts we publish on a blog or blog responding to a very personal impulse, and therefore can not be said to have special characteristics that distinguish them from other types of writing. At the end of the day, a blog is a notebook in which each type as you want. However, to start writing a blog can be useful to jot down some ideas to help us in this task, never forgetting that writing blogs, like conventional books, is the expression of personality and creativity writer. In a blog you can write about everything, but it always pays to know and be aware that after a minimum structure customize to our liking.

1. What blogging

What is a blog? A blog or weblog is a new way of web publishing that is characterized by the following basic features:
The content is included in the blog using a form from the Administration, which is the private blog.
This content can include images, multimedia and links to other blogs.
Items in the log are below each other in reverse chronological order.
The articles are divided into categories or sections, and labels.
Included are comments made by readers.
Articles and comments are distributed outside the channels of information blog using RSS or similar.
There are many types of blogs, but the one I like is the educational or Edublog blog, which is a personal blog that makes a teacher, and includes educational content. A classroom blog often includes educational activities designed for students, and they actively participate as users of the blog. A blog post is characterized by including at least one of these three types of content:

3. Structure of a blog post

Here I present a minimal structure for a blog post, knowing that whoever writes it has a duty to personalize it.
3.1. Title
We often forget that the title of an article is critical, and should have the following characteristics:

4.1. Links
The links are usually served for more information directing the reader to another page or document, or to indicate the source of such information. There are two main types of links:
Those included in the flow of the text and are underlined so you know they are links.
Those who are placed outside the main text, usually at the end in a separate section. These links are often known as or related links.
The links are often used for the following purposes:
Expand the information offered.
Confirm the information given with papers published on the Web
Define terms that may be difficult to understand.
The links should be pointed out three main elements:
The text of the link, which is the text that appears bound and generally stressed, though in many posts the links are displayed in bold and a different color from normal text. For example: Google .
The link address, ie address or URL of the document that will be linked. For example: http://www.google.es.

Blogger code includes a very confusing images, but if you want to know the HTML tag for images and their most used in order to include them from source, here they are:
The image tag is which is one of the few who do not have a corresponding closing tag.
As most commonly used attributes are the following:
src, which includes the path of the image.
alt, which includes an alternative text to define the image. For example: "My family", if we have included a photo of our family.
title, which includes a description of the image, and that is to be similar to the previous attribute.
border, if we are to have an edge image measured in pixels.
align, siq we gently place the image on the left (left) or right (right) of a paragraph.

4.3. Multimedia elements
As I explain in my article on Blogger videos , the media have gone through a special web ordeal until very recently because they require the following:
Much web space on the servers, they are bulky.
Fast Internet connection because of its complex structure.
Codecs and players suitable for reproduction.
Plug-ins required in web browsers.
Only recently has it been able to incorporate multimedia web pages in a massive way, as these drawbacks have been overcome, although not completely. Anyway, still must overcome other problems that arise due to the characteristics of these elements. Consider:
The video content does not appear to web browsers, it is not expressed in written text. Therefore, their widespread use does not contribute to the construction of the semantic Web , which is the objective that is looming on the horizon. This can be solved, as stated in the specifications of accessibility, with the inclusion of the text transcript of the video, or at least a summary. Naturally, this does not make almost anyone, but there it is.
The inclusion of multimedia elements increases the noise on the Web in both directions clearer. On the one hand, think that many computers are in public places where you can not or should not bother with voices or noises. On the other hand, the massive inclusion of multimedia on the Web, often without obvious reasons, contributes to the noise and mess caused by their excessive proliferation, which is unbearable to advertising.
And what about people who are deaf or blind? They will not benefit from all this renovation on the Web. The accessibility of web pages is now a legal obligation in many countries, they must take particular account of the websites of public areas, especially education.
But there are so many advantages of multimedia, these drawbacks are being overcome or are hiding under the carpet. Still can not trust the content of a website to your media, it can fail for many reasons. We'll see what we bring technological advances of the future.

4.2. Interactive elements
Interactivity is key to the new Web 2.0, it lets you interact with the application. This can be achieved by creating surveys or interactive or adding some gadget, but especially including interactive exercises that we can create ourselves with various applications of which I posted in this blog . This should not only apply to educational blogs, but any blog that has a modicum of creativity and communication, as the results are usually very attractive.

Already in the field of education, interactive exercises should be accompanied by group activities and media if possible. In this field, interactivity provides a self-assessment of knowledge, which is always helpful for students.
5. Content design

An important and often overlooked issue is the design of the content. Web design is concerned that the elements of the design of an article or blog work together to aim pursued in this case with a blog. These objectives can not be other than the following.
5.1. Simplicity and visual clarity of content
And this applies especially to the text, which is what counts in a blog as a rule. To achieve this, they must take into account the following rules:
The font size must be legible or too big or too small. It is amazing how many blogs that use a very small size fonts, sacrificing one of the basic rules for understanding a text.
The spacing should be generous. That is, the line spacing should be wide so you can read without difficulty.
The length of the text lines should not be too large nor too small, since in both cases the text is read worse.
No text should be justified. Justified text to right and left, as in books or newspapers, is feasible in the media because they can separate the syllables to end of line, but that can not be done on the Web, and therefore are sometimes hollow very large blank between words, disrupting the reading.
Images must not stop reading or occupy much of the paragraph, leaving little room for text.
5.2. Visual content division
This is accomplished by inserting the following:
Splitting text into paragraphs homogeneous and not very extensive.
Introduction of numbered and bulleted lists whenever a sufficient quantity of items.
Separation of text into sections titled and numbered if necessary, with degrees clearly visible. You should not use capital letters for titles, but a larger font size.
Sentences should be brief and short, and the precise language and no frills.
It is very useful to highlight key phrases in bold or italic, underlining, but never as they may be confused with links.
These visual aspects can be changed in the template code, but in case you do not know, you have to choose a template that is closer to these visual approaches. As an example, we show the first lines of this article into two images that correspond to two Blogger templates. The difference is obvious:

6. Tools to start working.

The posts are based on knowledge and communication in the network, and this requires regular reading of texts published on the Web. The essential tool is a good form to help us find what we want. Google happens to be the best, but Yahoo has a very acceptable form.

But we also need a place to store the addresses of the pages and documents that concern us. Browsers already have their favorites or bookmarks, but it is more practical to have a web space to store these markers and to use them from any computer. The best tool for this is del.icio.us , you should know and use.

Blogtrips: Experiences in traveler and blogger experiences

Some years ago, I wrote a series of entries on the subject of blogs, travel news and tourism marketing theme. At that time, around 2006, the official agencies of the destinations and media relations began to look to blogs as publications with a growing importance, but frankly not much happened. And, at least for Argentina, still without spending much. What exists are the traditional press trips, to which some bloggers may be invited in a timely manner. But Spain has been claiming the tendency of blogtrips. These trips, where participants are, of course, bloggers can be very similar to those press trips, armed with an itinerary, or have a much more participatory scheme. In the latter case, the assembly of the trip is the product of collaboration of bloggers and media makers and destination marketing.

On the issue of relations between press trips, and marketing blogs, I have very innovative things to say. I gave many more than four years ago , and summarized in one point: the problem of travel experience. An all-expenses paid trip and agenda put together by a third party does not reproduce the experience of the traveler. There are, however, ways to address these limitations. For example, in many press trips is possible to extend our stay for a few days, at our expense. In those days we can pool information. Of course, this is not always possible because our agenda is also obligations, and although we get invitations, we can not always think to stay more days.

Imagine that right now you get to your job. You're sitting in your office in front of the computer.You open the mail and see 10 messages from people who ask you to do something. Shortly after you start getting calls from people who will raise problems or issues that need your attention. When you finally are about to move forward with the task your boss comes and says you need this or that document. The computer stops responding. Start doing other tasks while awake. Expects them to work. You stop and resume the task they had just parked. One time I open the mail. Three new messages that ask you things. Just the day, you're stressed and tired. Have you worked? Yes, a lot. Have you produced? Soon, very little. The refrain is repeated as you see. So day after day after day. This is life strip.

36. Simplify your finances

39. Genera nuevas vías de ingresos

Hacer que toda tu economía se base en una única vía de ingreso es poner en claro riesgo tu bienestar y el de los tuyos. ¿Qué pasaría si se cortara el grifo? Ya te lo digo yo: te deshidratarías y puede que al final perecieras de sed. No dejes que eso te pase a ti. ¿Cómo generar nuevas vías de ingresos? Hazte las siguientes preguntas: ¿Qué subproductos genera mi actividad que pueda vender? ¿Tengo conocimientos por los que la gente estaría dispuesta a pagar por ellos? ¿Cómo puedo sacar provecho económico de esos subproductos y conocimientos? Todos sabemos cosas que tienen valor para los demás, tan sólo hay que ordenar esos conocimientos y ponerlos a disposición de los demás por un precio razonable. Hoy en día, con el uso de la Red, es más fácil y barato que nunca distribuir contenidos.

40. Estrecha los lazos con tus amigos cercanos

El ser humano es un animal social. Los amigos son pieza fundamental de nuestras vidas y, por ende, de nuestra felicidad. El ajetreo de nuestras vidas, la pereza, la dejadez, las obligaciones y, en definitiva, cualquier obstáculo que nos distancie de nuestros amigos cercanos hay que superarlo a toda costa. No dejes que las relaciones con la gente que quieres se enfríen demasiado. Cada día que pasa te será más difícil recuperar esa amistad. Hay que luchar por lo que vale la pena y, créeme, esto la vale. Estar con los buenos amigos nunca es tiempo perdido. Como diría el bueno de Lois L. Kaufman: “si plantas una semilla de amistad recogerás un ramo de felicidad”. Y yo continuaría diciendo: “si no riegas las flores que brotan de las semillas plantadas corres el riesgo de que se mueran por falta de amor”. No pierdas más tiempo, da el primer paso tú y envía un mensaje a aquellos buenos amigos con los que hace tiempo que no hablas y, si vivís cerca, queda con ellos tan pronto te sea posible. No excuses.

41. Sé detallista con los que te quieren

42. Treat others as you would be treated

Respeta y serás respetado. Odia y serás odiado. Aborrece y serás aborrecido. Esto es así de simple. La vida es como un espejo que va a reflejar lo que tú le muestres. Muéstrale una sonrisa cálida y sincera y eso es lo que vas a recibir a cambio. Recuerdo que se hizo un estudio hace unos años que decía que las personas cuando estaban cerca y, más aún cuando interactuaban, se traspasaban los estados de ánimo. Es como un mecanismo del cuerpo que capta las vibraciones del otro y adapta la reacción según sean estas. Por ello, si quieres que los demás te traten con amabilidad no descargues en ellos tu amargura o frustración. No te dirijas a alguien con el ceño fruncido, con los puños cerrados y más serio que un palo. Pues eso mismo es lo que tú vas a recibir. En cambio, acércate a las personas con una sonrisa sincera, relaja tu cuerpo, suaviza tu voz, abre tus manos y tantos otros detalles que seguro que se te vienen a la mente y que puedes controlar.

43. No es la cantidad de tiempo que pasas con tu familia lo que importa sino la calidad

¿Te gustaría pasar más tiempo con tu familia pero tus obligaciones te lo impiden? Yo diría que hicieras lo que estuviera en tu mano para reducir el tiempo dedicado a tus obligaciones. Tal vez buscar un trabajo al que tengas que dedicar menos horas (aunque te paguen menos), o delegar tareas de tu negocio que ahora haces tú a otra persona. Si por lo que sea eso no es posible, te va a tocar exprimir la naranja al máximo para sacarle todo el jugo. El tiempo que pases con tu familia debe ser auténtico, no dejes escapar el poco tiempo que pasáis juntos viendo cosas por la TV o discutiendo de memeces. El tiempo es oro y el mañana, en contra de lo que diga el título de la película de James Bond, si que muere.

44. The illusion of time

Este es un pequeño truquillo que voy a compartir contigo. Cómo hacer que la sensación de la otra persona del tiempo que has pasado con ella se deforme y le parezca más de lo que en realidad fue. Pues muy fácil, en vez de estar con la persona 3 horas en un único periodo de tiempo, conecta con ella varias veces a lo largo del día. No tienes porque interactuar de forma física siempre. Por ejemplo, un mensajito por aquí, un tweet por allá, una media horita con ella por el otro lado y una horita al finalizar el día. En total: 1 hora y 35 min reales dedicados a esa persona. Sensación de la otra persona: por lo menos 3-4 horas. Si te fijas es lo que hacen muchas parejas. La gracia está en aplicar este truquito con todo el mundo que tú quieras que tenga la sensación que pasas mucho rato con ellos.

45. El verdadero valor de las cosas

Las cosas son cosas y las personas son personas. Nunca antepongas las primeras por las segundas. What I mean by this? No le pegues un rapapolvo histórico a tu hijo porque se le cayó algo en el sofá nuevo. La correcta formación de la personalidad no se construye a base de rapapolvos. Lo mismo vale para cualquier otra persona. Asimismo, con esto me refiero a que no vale la pena martirizarse por querer algo y no poder conseguirlo; o querer conservar intacto un bien que nos es de mucho aprecio; o matarnos a trabajar no porque amemos nuestro trabajo o porque realmente lo necesitemos, sino para conseguir bienes materiales que creemos que harán de nuestra vida el justo merecimiento de nuestra persona. Recuerda, las cosas son cosas y nada más. Conseguirlas no sólo no lleva verdadera felicidad sino que, como diría Buda, su deseo suele ser la causa de la infelicidad. Y como ya debes saber, una vez consigues lo que quieres… ¡sorpresa! Ahora quieres otra cosa un poquito mejor. Por ello, no caigas en la trampa del consumismo, vive una vida lo más frugal que puedas y disfruta de los pequeños placeres de la vida.

46. Viaja con la máquina del tiempo

A todos hay una época de la historia de la humanidad en la que nos hubiera gustado vivir o que nos llama mucho la atención. Puede ser tanto atrás como adelante en el tiempo. A mí me fascina la época de la antigua Grecia y el futuro (3 o 4 generaciones después de mí). Por ello, todo lo que tenga que ver con los grandes filósofos de la Edad Antigua, así como con las grandes batallas de aquella época y las biografías de sus personajes ilustres, me reporta una inmensa satisfacción su aprendizaje. Es como vivir una vida paralela a la presente pero en otro tiempo. La lectura de libros sobre y de la época no sólo ha ayudado a formar mi carácter ya desarrollar mis habilidades de razonamiento y de escritura, sino que además han sido algunos de los mejores ratos que he pasado en mi vida. Créeme, no tiene nada de aburrido conocer cómo fue la conquista de Persia por Alejandro, o el juicio que acabo con la vida de Sócrates, o los discursos de Demóstenes, para algunos el mejor orador de todos los tiempos. Haz lo propio, descubre cuál o cuáles son tus épocas predilectas y sumérgete en ellas. Lee libros, visiona películas, escribe tus propios relatos, y cosas por el estilo. No sólo aprenderás como una esponja sino que disfrutarás como un niño.

47. El arte de saber qué leer y cómo leerlo

¿Qué leer? A lo largo de mi vida he “tirado” mucho tiempo leyendo cosas de calidad dudosa. El tiempo que tenemos para leer no es ilimitado. Selecciona cuidadosamente lo que lees. Mi recomendación es que vayas a por lo seguro. Guíate por consejos de gente en quien confíes, o de tu lectura de reseñas u opiniones, pues estas rara vez fallan. Ahora bien, no por ello dejes de leer cosas nuevas que, aunque no sean consideradas obras maestras, te puedan resultar útiles o entretenidas. Guíate por tu interés y por la utilidad que creas que puedes extraer del libro o e-book.
¿Cómo leer? “Pero bueno, ¿es que ahora me vas a decir que no sé leer?” Tú sabrás, yo tan sólo quiero compartir contigo unos consejitos: (1) siempre cuando se lee hay que tener lápiz en mano para subrayar y hacer anotaciones en los márgenes. (2) déjate de leer demasiado rápido, no te enterarás de nada. Deja tiempo a digerir lo que lees. Si hace falta releer se relee. Si hace falta parar unos segundos para reflexionar se para. Eso de leer más de 2000 palabras por minuto son paparruchas. Qué estrés Dios mío. (3) la relectura tiempo después de haberlos leído por primera vez de libros que son joyas es altamente recomendable. Fijarás conceptos en la mente y profundizarás en sus enseñanzas.

48. Interactúa con el mundo que te rodea

Este consejo es un poco diferente del resto pero creo que merece la pena que lo conozcáis. Las personas estamos tan centradas en nosotros mismos que creemos que todo lo demás es un decorado inanimado. El mundo a tu alrededor tiene vida, respira igual que tú o yo sólo que no somos conscientes de ello. Este consejo trata precisamente de eso: de recuperar la sintonía con el mundo. A continuación te doy algunos trucos para conseguirlo:

Meditación: Una vez al día (ideal) o una vez a la semana (mínimo) hemos de dedicar al menos 15 minutos para meditar. ¿Cómo meditar? Simplemente siéntate en un lugar tranquilo, sé consciente de cómo el aire entra por tu nariz y sale a una velocidad constante y trata de mantener la mente callada, sin pensamientos. Sé tu propio maestro de meditación. Una idea que me gusta sentir cuando medito es la siguiente: “yo formo parte del Universo y el Universo forma parte de mí”; o dicho de otro modo, “yo soy el Universo y el Universo soy yo”. Esta idea me ayuda a entrar en el estado de conciencia que necesito para meditar.

Utiliza todos tus sentidos con los elementos que te rodean: Los sentidos nos ayudan a potenciar las vivencias que tenemos. Hemos de redescubrir el uso de nuestros sentidos. Aquí unos ejemplos: anda descalzo por la arena; toca la corteza de los árboles al pasar por su lado; huele el aroma del pan antes de comerlo; abraza a tu pareja y huélele el cuello (no le muerdas, o sí ); toca a tu perro y siente cómo se mueve su interior, siente su vida en la palma de tu mano; quédate un buen rato sentado al lado de un cactus y déjate embargar por su quietud; juega con las palomas; escucha detenidamente el canto de las gaviotas; observa su vuelo; échate al raso a descansar en un bosque. ¿A qué huele? ¿Sientes el airecillo en tu piel? ¿Qué sonidos identificas?; y muchas otras cosas por el estilo que te hagan sentir que el mundo que te rodea está vivo y, más importante, que tú también lo estás.

Empieza a dibujar, pintar, hacer cine o sacar fotografías como hobby: Una de las etapas más bellas que recuerdo de mi vida fue cuando me aficioné al dibujo. Recuerdo que por la mañana estudiaba Derecho y por la tarde me hacía pasar por alumno de Bellas Artes. Aquí uno de mis bocetos (autorretrato) de aquella época. Por cierto, ahora tengo bastante menos pelo . También me encanta el mundo de la fotografía, aquí podéis ver algunas de mis mejores fotos .

¿Qué tienen que ver estos hobbies con interactuar con el mundo que te rodea?
Estos hobbies que te he enunciado te van a ayudar a ver el mundo con ojos de artista. Tu mirada analizará cualquier imagen, color y forma hasta el más mínimo detalle, y, poco a poco, empezarás a detectar composiciones hermosas que puedes inmortalizar con tu lápiz, pincel o cámara. Aparte de desarrollar tu pensamiento creativo que, por desgracia, suele estar bastante abandonado, conseguirás también con el tiempo un agudo sentido de lo estético. Estas dos nuevas habilidades marcarás la diferencia en tu trabajo el resto de tu vida.

49. Vive en el ahora

Olvídate del pasado. No pienses en el futuro. Lo único que realmente importa es el ahora. Si miras atrás hay frustración por no poder cambiar los acontecimientos pasados o por nostalgia de los momentos felices que ya o volverán. Si miras al futuro hay preocupación por la incertidumbre. En definitiva, vivir en el pasado o en el futuro sólo produce sufrimiento. ¿Cómo vivir en el presente? Algunos consejos: Intenta acallar tu mente. Práctica unos minutos al día el silencio mental absoluto; interactúa con el mundo que te rodea y siéntelo; identifica cuando tu mente empieza a viajar al pasado o al futuro y tráela de vuelta al presente; medita; haz yoga; etc.

50. Be water my friend

Como diría el bueno de Bruce Lee: “be water my friend”. Fluye como el agua y adáptate a las circunstancias. No es el mundo quien debe adaptarse a ti, pues este ya estaba mucho antes de que tú existieses, sino tú al mundo. Ahora bien, como el agua, debes adaptarte pero sin perder tu esencia. Siempre debes de ser tu mismo y no lo que otros quieren o te fuerzan que seas. No traiciones tus principios.

51. Actúa – Ahora te toca a ti

Lo dicho hasta aquí es paja si no lo pones en práctica. Todo lo que puedas aprender de la vida no sirve absolutamente de nada si no aplicas las enseñanzas a tu vida día tras día tras día…
Por lo tanto, imprime este artículo (no sin antes compartirlo con tus amigos y seres queridos) y empieza a leerlo desde el principio. Lápiz en mano subraya todo lo que te resulte interesante o útil para tu día a día y haz todas aquellas anotaciones que consideres convenientes.
