The Lyndon Bridge is a metal Parker Pratt through-truss bridge in the village of Lyndon in Whiteside County. The Lyndon Bridge was designed by engineer R.S. Riser and completed in the late 1890's for around $20,000. Whiteside County maintained the bridge until it was closed to all traffic in 1980. In 1995, as the county was about to demolish the bridge, a group of Lyndon residents met and decided to try and save the bridge, not for vehicular travel but as a unique part of Lyndon's history. A successful campaign was launched, and in 1998 the Village of Lyndon gained title to the bridge. The Village Board of Trustees had the bridge inspected, and it was deemed safe for pedestrian use. In November 2002 the Village was notified that the State of Illinois has approved a grant request in the amount of $35,000 for repairs and enhancements to the bridge. The Lyndon Bridge is the only through- truss bridge in existence in Whiteside Illinois. The bridge was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2003. Today, as you walk across the bridge, you will see heart-warming memorial plaques attached to the planks. The north side of the bridge features a park-like setting replete with a gazebo, benches, and a picnic table. The south end opens to a panoramic view of corn fields. The bridge provides outstanding photo opportunities.

This colorful restaurant features bright-yellow walls and carved wood panels in the windows. It's packed with carved wood chairs, tables and booths, and it's decorated with colorful Mexican blankets, sombreros and other artwork. Fiesta Cancun serves tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas and specialty dishes, such as chiles poblanos and more. A full bar is also available.

Housed in a 130 year-old former church, the Lyndon Area Historical Society museum is a unique and charming venue for your next social, club, business, educational or family event. The chapel, with its impressive stained glass windows, is an ideal setting for small intimate weddings providing seating for up to 80 people. The acoustics within the chapel are ideal for musical performances as well. A piano is available for your use.
The lower level of the historical society, replete with all the charm of an old-fashioned church basement, is equipped with a fully-functioning kitchen and can also accommodate parties of up to 80 people. The exhibit area of the museum showcases the area's venerable history through both permanent and seasonal displays.
The Lyndon Area Historical Society is located just blocks away from the Lyndon Bridge which is on the National Registry of Historic Places and the Veteran's Memorial. Both locations offer ideal photo opportunities.

The primary objective of The Fields Project, Inc. is to "Bring Art and Agriculture Together," by creating a continuing relationship between artists, farmers, environmentalists and educators. To this end, we offer a nine-day program for "Artists in Residence," which includes lodging with a host farm family. During this time, artists can apply their craft in a leisurely, inspirational setting. Artists have been coming to Ogle County, Illinois for over 100 years to capture its essence on canvas, in photos or in a sculptural manner. On the last day of the event, the Fields Project has an Art Festival culminating in the artistic efforts of those Artists In Residence, Regional Artists, and a juried sculptural competition held in one of the most beautiful of park setting...Oregon Park West, in Oregon, Illinois.

Welcome to Loveland Community House! We offer rental rooms in a variety of sizes to cater to your special event. These include a Dining Hall seating up to 200 which can include a raised stage, room for dancing, a DJ or small band the Ladies or Men's Lounge offer classic appointments and vaulted ceilings.
