We had a wonderful week! I know i have said that I was gonna pay more attention to this page but we have been busy and I am so DIY. 3/18 was our official SXSW night, the next morning we had to be at the airport so that we could fly out to New Mexico for a show with the homie Curtis Pink in Silver City. It was hard work but it was so much fun! We are back home for some well deserved family time, and tomorrow it's back to the 9 to 5! Follow us on our new

Hello Everyone! Just wanted to invite you all out to the long awaited "Dance Sucka! Dance Dance Dance Party!" and Video Shoot on 12/19/2009.

One of the youth I worked with at the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program was shot dead today by APD... His name was Nathaniel Sanders, and he was full of potential... There is so much I want to vent right now, excessive for on unarmed civilian should outlawed. Death by cop is such an excepted thing here in Austin... I don't know what else to say.

It was a great week at SXSW! We met a slew of talented performers and made so many contacts. At the end of each night I left inspired, but had a burning question aching within. That question was, "When will we get our turn?!" I want so badly for the world to hear our music, we are in hard times right now and I believe our music can help a lot of people cope, or inspire them to continue fighting.

Anyway, we have Texas Relays coming up, and we'll be doing rallying the wolves on 4/10/09, and you are welcome to come out and show support.

Blacklisted Tonight At SXSW!

It's been an amazing week in Austin, TX! So far i've met Tricky, Tj the Dj, B.O.B., and I've seen Janelle Monae twice!!! Finally it's our turn to perform and ppl are really showing us love with emails, text and phone calls. Tonight at Back Alley Social Club at 8:30 pm we will rock the F**K Out! Tickets are $10 but they only have 90 available for purchase so please get there early! Thanks for an excellent week!

It's been a long time!!!

This is Da'Shade and it's been over a year since our last entry. We are sorry but working on our first official album has demanded all of our attention. Good news though, we are almost finished and have linked back up with NOOK and started our own lable "Working Class Records!"

You will see a Xenogia album this year, as well as a jazz fusion A-Alive album. Just be ready to support!

Year of Austin Music Meeting

Monday night me and Shade went to this meeting because we knew there would be no Hip Hop Representation there. It's funny because all of the rock and jazz artist there complained about the same things that Blacklisted does. There is no hip hop scene in Austin. When we perform at shows, it is usually for free. The only money we make is off CDs and Merch. Most of the crowds we perform for are full of fellow musicians waiting their turn to perform. Here's the article from the meeting: (you can see Da'Shade in the background)

"Some musicians are calling for change in the Austin music scene. They said in the Live Music Capital of the World, many musicians are struggling to survive.
"It's a huge sector of our economic community, and that affects the well-being of every single Austinite. It brings in tourists, it brings people to live here," said concerned citizen Jeff Kehoe.
There's a lot of lip service given to being the Live Music Capital of the World.
"We've created a lot of food on our economic table for Austin, but we don't have a seat at the table," said Troy Dillinger with a group called the Year of Austin Music.
The Year in Austin Music is trying to come up with some solutions. They have a five-part plan to support Austin's music scene, including city recognition, discussion groups to brainstorm solutions and a public awareness campaign.

They want to create a political action committee to get things like financial incentives and tax breaks for musicians.
Education is the final part of the proposal.

I had a video in my inbox from Snyp titled "Allah calls one home." It was a video of an islamic millitant firing mortar rounds. What a great way to start your morning! (And when I say "Great" I don't mean great at all.)

Greetings Comrades! This is Da'Shade Moonbeam of Blacklisted Individuals letting you know that we are not going anywhere and only death can stop the truth from getting out. This is yet another way for us to get info about our lives, our shows, and our passions out to the people that believe in and support us so.

We are currently working on a slew or interactive and creative ideas to please our fans and expand our consumer base.
