... and that's pretty much what I've been feeling since my schoolmates and I came back from Portugal. Because let me tell you, we had the time of our lives. We ran in sneakers all morning through downtown Lisbon, went clubbing on a Tuesday night, shopped 'til we dropped at the mall, hosted clandestine parties at hotel rooms (it didn't really matter whose room it was), tried and ridiculously failed to speak portuguese with the locals... the word incredible falls short to describe how this trip was. Also, can I just say that I felt like I was actually a local (despite the fact that I didn't understand the language at all, obviously) while I stayed there?

I guess all I can do now is reminisce until summer vacation. Bisous!

WEARING ZARA JEANS, BLOUSE & BAG · H&M BRALETTE · BIRKENSTOCKS

As you all know, this summer I went to Barcelona with my father for, like, the 7th time. But on this occasion I had way more fun that on my previous visits, I met so many people from all over the world, took A LOT of photos & went to many, many places I had never visited before. One of those places was the Museum of Contemporary Art. Man, that place is huge... I remember that everytime we entered a new room, my dad would mutter "What the f*ck is wrong with modern artists?" to himself. He was right in a way, but you know I'm a sucker for aesthetically pleasing everything and dream about becoming an artist, so I was more than okay with the strangeness of some of the installations.

We wandered over the place for about 4 hours until we realized that our stay in the hotel was payed only until that day at 2 o'clock. I guess me running through La Rambla in Birkenstocks to get to the hotel so we didn't have to pay 100 extra euros while trying to drink a mango smoothie at the same time was a very, very funny sight... Bisous!

Looks like I'm gonna have to turn this blog into an apologise page because it's basically all I do on here. Once again, I'm sorry for my lack of consistance when it comes to writing on here. I've been busy busy with school, but to be honest I have no excuse because I also had my off days, which I spent either on the street drinking beers with friends, in my bed or watching American Horror Story... in my bed as well. But anyway, I'm on Christmas vacation at the moment, so expect a flurry of posts in this blog of mine! Meanwhile, here's a pretty rad moodboard made out of pictures I found on knighttcat's instagram + an outfit I wore two nights ago I really, really liked. I mean, furry coats & mom jeans FTW. Bisous!

After spending an incredible weekend in Barcelona with my father as a graduation present, we both headed to his countryside house near a city called Gerona. The house is deeply lost in the depths of the forest, so obviously the time I spent there was a bliss as per usual. The fact that I spent more time by the pool than I did in any other part of the house is an understatement. Drinking Cosmopolitans that made me feel like Carrie Bradshaw while sunbathing & reading foreign fashion magazines while admiring the gorgeous views... I want to go back.

Well, hello there! Long time, no see... or more like long time, no blog. On December my life got flipped & upside down (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reference totally intended) with the sudden death of my mother, and since then I've been having some issues as to what is my purpose in life and I've been wondering; what do I really want to achieve with this blog? It took me approximately 190 days to come up with the answer... I can indeed blog just for the fun of it! So now I am back again and hopefully here to stay, if I don't go through more existential crises, that is... just kidding.

Hello you guys! Happy New Year! I'm sorry I've been gone. I'd rather not share the reason why my blogging has been minimum during the last few weeks but lets just say terrible things happened and all I needed was to get away from all technology for a while. That being said, I do want to share with you a few short questions I answered for DALLIANCE's -- a magazine I have been collaborating with since the summer --, 'Contributor of the month' section in the January/February issue, which you can check out here. I wish I was more like myself on a good day. I'm most inspired by everything. I feel the most alive when I am doing what I love & loving what I'm doing. I spend my down time drawing, painting, writing. I love to listen to The Smiths and watch Criminal Minds and Law & Order: SVU. Most people don't know that I'm rather fond of Sailor Moon. My style icons are Jane Birkin, Kate Moss, Bianca Jagger, Winona Ryder in the 90's. My happiest memory is the years I spent living in Madrid. When I was younger I wanted to be a ballet dancer and an archeologist. If I had unlimited money I would disappear. On the top of my wish list is to live all over the world. My best experience modelling would have to be starring in a United Colors of Benetton ad campaign at the age of 8. Modelling is something I wish I did more often. First impressions are important, but rarely accurate. I wish everybody could be more open-minded and less judgemental. I dislike kitten heels and the color orange. I'm obsessed with denim. I wish I was better at making friends. To relax I like to go to the forest behind my house. Dalliance Magazine is a giant in the making.

MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE ON SET?

I think I'm going to have to say it is when I first participated in Fashion Week... yes, that was quite memorable. I was so unexperienced at the time... how was I to know models had personal dressers!

MY FAVOURITE FRAGRANCE IS...

I love all fragrances generally, but the one scent that I'm always drawn to is Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture. I am a lover of Vanilla and Caramel undertones in perfume so if I had to choose a signature scent, Viva La Juicy would have to be the one… although right now I have a bottle of Marc Jacobs Oh Lola which I use everyday.

THE BEST OUTFIT I'VE EVER WORN WAS...

As predictable as it might seem, I would probably have to say my ball dress. It was short, black and white, peplum,and with a statement jeweled neckline. The shoes were open-toed and blacknwith about a two inch thick ankle strap. I cannot explain my love for these shoes, but lets just say I’ve entered into a Carrie Bradshaw level of obsession. As cliché as it is to admit, the dress fit like a glove the first time I zipped it and it has the most flattering cut. It is the only dress I have ever owned, w every single time I wear it, I feel good about myself. I feel like that is special. Every item of clothing has it’s bad day, which tend to coincide with your bad days, but this dress, this dress is different.

THE 3 MOST USED PIECES ON MY WARDROBE ARE...

It is embarassing to admit but my sports leggings would have to come at the top of the list, I mean, gym clothes are my go-to outfit if I don't feel like dressing up. Other than my beloved gym clothes, I am obsessed with these boots I just bought from Melissa. Unfortunately I don't wear the, as much as I would like to as they are very high, and being just under 6 foot tall already, I need very special occasions to wear them... unless of course I lived in Manhattan. I especially love my Deal Breaker Slouchy Fit Sass & Bide boyfriend jeans. You can wear them rolled up, but unlike many other jeans they look equally as great left to dotheir own thing as well.

5 MUST-HAVES FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON:

Summer has almost reached us in New Zealand so I am going to have to say, a good beach bag that can carry at least one book, a towell, sunscreen, your iPod, water... you know the stuff. On top of tat I am quite the pyjama person, so I would say treat yourself to a luxury summer/winter pyjama set. Thirdly, I would go fora decent pair of sandals in my opinion they are the perfect complement for boyfriend jeans. I am really in need of a decent pair of baggy shorts. My sister just bought the most beautiful shorts from Sass & Bide that I actually had to pay her to wear one time. Yes, you heard me right, I had to pay my sister to wear her shorts. But the money was going to a worthy cause. Finally I am going to say some beautiful lingerie. Just because it can't be seen, doesn't means you shouldn't immerse yourself in full luxury.

Oh God, I find this honestly one of the hardest questions to answer, I have read too many books to decide. But if I had to say one on the spot right now... it would have to be The Fault in Our Stars. What can I say? I'm a sucker for a good love story.

WEEKENVY IS ABOUT...

Just a personal journey through life I guess. My posting has been minimal lately; I have been scramped by exams and school so posting hasn't been my top priority. But eith the summer holidays approaching, Weekenvy is going to be completely reinvented, possibly even a new name. I want it to become more of a personal experience for m readers, I want them to get to know the real me, even if I don't know who that is yet.

I WANT PEOPLE TO READ WEEKENVY AND...

Feel like the can relate to me. I want people to read a post, get all the way through it, and believe thet I am writing genuinely. But most importantly, I wamt people to be inspired. I want people to read a post on my blog and find themselves feeling a warm pressure building in their chests from the excitement that comes from all the possibilities of life. At least that's how I feel, and there is something so beautiful about it that I cannot help but want everyone to feel equally as hopeful for life as I do.

When Chanel showed their SS14 Haute Couture collection this January and I spotted those fabulous sparkly trainers on the runway, I started to look at athletic wear a whole lot differently. I have been on the hunt for a few pairs of '90s-style sneakers ever since, and it seems like I found the very first pair to start growing my collection. Whenever I wear my Reebok Classic Leather sneakers, I feel like I am in an old Chanel ad and since it doesn't look like I'll be owning a pair of their couture trainers anytime soon, I'm going to keep wearing these while pretending to be Linda Evangelista until a few thousand euros magically appear on my bank account.

It has been proven that owning a seriously cool leather jacket is significantly more fulfilling than raising a child to adulthood. Or at least that's what I read on a news website. We really do. I mean, I know a lot of you aren't too fond on Slimane and I understand why you may dislike his work for ~~Yves~~ Saint Laurent, but for SS15 he featured wide brim hats, fluffy coats, leather and platform sandals... and those are only a few of my favourite things. You just can't deny this glam-rock collection is just so cool. Ladies (and from what my analytics tell me, quite a few gentlemen as well), Hedi Slimane managed to create the perfect summer wardrobe, again.

I've never even been a bandana kind of gal but I'm planning on making up for lost time. The BLANC IVORY editorial team (made up of my Olympus & myself) has collaborated with the local accessories boutique Fufula and I have to say that upon seeing these four Levi's bandanas sittting pretty in the vintage section of the store last month, my feelings towards gangsta head wear have dramatically changed turning into a burning passion. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I think these portraits pretty much speak for themselves.

If you're having one of those days when you feel totally adventurous and just really want to take a risk when it comes to your style, then denim on denim is certainly the best choice you can make. I only had 3 hours of sleep last night & today is my sixteenth birthday so I'm going to have to keep this brief! Last night I was able to attend a Moscow Ballet performance (awesome birthday present from dad), and the fact that I spent hours trying to come up with an outfit worthy of such an exclusive event quoting words from Cher Horowitz (Ugh, I've got nothing to wear!) is an understatement. Three hours later, I decided to go for this dress with an open back I thrifted over a year ago and never had the opportunity to wear. After all, it's not everyday you get to wear a fabulous evening gown to see The Nutcracker.

Unbuttoned is the way to go. Always. Especially if you're like me and only wear a bra when it's absolutely necessary. For the most part, I keep all of my shirts and blouses open to JLo at the 2000 Grammys level, with a lace bralette underneath if I have to (aka never). Wearing them that way makes me feel like your average uber-chic Parisian girl who doesn't care about anything or anyone, like I actually embody that 'je ne sais quoi' I oh-so-badly long to possess.

I repeat, unbuttoned is always the way to go.

Right. So let me tell you guys a few things before you call the #fashun police... firstly, I've never been one to follow any trends and secondly, I've never ever worn sandals of this style outside of my house. So I don't exactly know who to blame for this crime (Céline? Givenchy? Dad?), but one thing I do know is that once you try them there's no turning back. Because really, there's nothing better than an adorable outfit paired with ugly shoes.

Juergen Teller's portraits of Kate Moss are among my favourite photos of her. Not only because Teller is a terrific photographer but also because he manages to capture Kate in a really special way -- minimal make up, naturally styled hair, and usually in her own clothes. So authentic and simple in the most exotic way. But I mean, you can actually picture yourself doing the same Moss does on the portraits. Because we all wake up in the mornings with terribly wild hair and hang out by the backyard in our knickers (ok, maybe that's just me). I suspect these photographs get pretty close to the real Kate.
