SurreyCCC are arguably the largest cricket team in the world, boasting many historic successes, aswell as a ground that regularly hosts the England National team for Test Matches, One Day Internationals and Twenty20s. The need of a website that suited the popularity of the club was paramount. So they required a website that would be user friendly, with focus being on image and content.

Built within the website is a video section named Surrey TV, (view Surreys’ TV Channel by clicking here), a history archive and many features that every Surrey cricket enthusiast requires.

After some recent browsing we came across a great site that caches complete websites back as far as 1996. This really is an awesome time machine in more ways than one. Before you know it, hours have drifted by from browsing global giants like Apple, through to your very own website.

It’s amazing to see how software and graphics have evolved over the last 10 years. We have all come along way with regards to design and functionality. There was also a huge amount of flash that existed on yester-years internet which has obviously diminished due to Apple’s introduction of web devices.

Steve Jobs was the mastermind behind the success of the Technology Giant, Apple. Steve had fought cancer in recent years and received a liver transplant in 2009, stepped down as Apple’s chief executive in August. But his death is still likely to come as a shock to many in Silicon Valley and across the world.

Born on February 24, 1955 and raised in Palo Alto, California, Jobs was one of a handful of figures who straddled two generations that helped transform the small corner of California into the world’s hub for technogical innovation.
Having founded Apple in his family’s garage in 1976 with his friend Steve Wozniak, more than 30 years of innovation resulted in Apple surpassing oil giant Exxon Mobil as the world’s most valuable company earlier this year. In the process Jobs helped reinvent the personal computer, music and mobile phone industries as well as reshape the attitude of millions to technology.

Everyone who works at the Blayney Partnership are huge ‘Mac fans’ and believe that Apple’s innovative products have completely changed our working lives for the better. Our office technology is completely Apple driven and we will sorely miss Steve’s brilliant keynote presentations which unveil the next generation of incredible software and hardware.

We were approached by Managing Director, Matt Potter to produce a series of adverts to encompass their impressive state of the art technology and elite team of outstanding DJ’s. Some ingenious photoshop skills were required to produce a heart shaped fire ring around the vinyls to link the 2 slogans ‘Sharing the love since 1994′ & ‘There’s nothing hotter than Potter’. Being huge music fans we decided that we would take out a hospitality package to thank our clients and staff, plus the celebration of Rob’s (Blayney Director) 66th Birthday. We enjoyed front row action as Elton blasted out all his greatest hits from ‘Bennie and the Jets’ to ‘Candle in the Wind’. The excitement didn’t stop there! We were lucky enough to have the privilege to go back stage with the company of our guest Ben Cohen, to meet Sir Elton in his dressing room. This made Rob and myself very happy and we were extremely star struck.

After our brief encounter with one of the world’s biggest music legends things got even more crazy when he dedicated the concert to Ben Cohen and his “old friend and drinking partner” Northamptonshire cricketer Allan Lamb.

The sun shone and the rain held off for the entire evening boosting the electric atmosphere in the seated outdoor venue.

Thanks Elton for an amazing night that we and most of Northampton will never forget.
