Pirate Crew have managed to find candidates for many top West End shows, including the latest hot seller ‘Matilda The Musical’ as well as other renowned shows such as, ‘Singin In The Rain’, ‘The King and I’ and ‘Dirty Dancing’. As well as West End shows they also provide quality stage technicians for major television programmes, such as ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and ‘Coronation Street Live’.

The website needed to have a candidate login area for new employees to view current job placements. It also needed to provide a client facing area where customers could upload their own job posts. Easy navigation throughout websites is key nowadays, so secondary navigations where implemented in the sidebars. Key area widgets have been created to push users to the certain areas that Pirate Crew specify.

How does responsive design help us do this?

Well, by allowing us to create one website solution that is flexible for different screen widths. It uses flexible grids and clever styles to present the same content to a user, but displays that content in a format that suits the width of the device. Most of our websites now come with this feature but some sites use functionality that will not warrant responsiveness. Therefore we will do our upmost to design your site with responsiveness in mind.

A mobile responsive website was a must for Northampton Centre for Learning Behaviour (NCfLB) who is part of the School of Education at The University of Northampton, where it functions as a ‘social enterprise’.

The focus of its activity is on social and emotional aspects of learning and behaviour and the promotion of educational inclusion. The Centre is involved in consultancy and development work both nationally and, principally, internationally. It has a particular presence in South East Asia, via the Asia Pacific Partnership in Learning Behaviour, based at the Hong Kong Institute of Education.

Paul Bramble (NCfLB) appointed the Blayney Partnership to produce a new international website that would carry exclusive information for their learning and behaviour programme. The site also includes an interactive video library which is run by Vimeo and secure information areas for members.

The site also needed to be completely mobile responsive which meant that we needed to add some sophisticated CSS which would cascade the website. All moving areas of the website needed to be mobile friendly javascript and the video carousel needed to be smooth and efficient.

Valentine’s Day is a major marketing opportunity on the Jewellers’ Calendar and it became fundamental that the advertising needed to be aimed at the male demographic.

Set to the soundtrack of Rossini’s William Tell Overture, users are asked to enter their details then light a fuse to record their Big Bang time. SurreyCCC are arguably the largest cricket team in the world, boasting many historic successes, aswell as a ground that regularly hosts the England National team for Test Matches, One Day Internationals and Twenty20s. The need of a website that suited the popularity of the club was paramount. So they required a website that would be user friendly, with focus being on image and content.

After some recent browsing we came across a great site that caches complete websites back as far as 1996. This really is an awesome time machine in more ways than one. Before you know it, hours have drifted by from browsing global giants like Apple, through to your very own website.

It’s amazing to see how software and graphics have evolved over the last 10 years. We have all come along way with regards to design and functionality. There was also a huge amount of flash that existed on yester-years internet which has obviously diminished due to Apple’s introduction of web devices.

Steve Jobs was the mastermind behind the success of the Technology Giant, Apple. Steve had fought cancer in recent years and received a liver transplant in 2009, stepped down as Apple’s chief executive in August. But his death is still likely to come as a shock to many in Silicon Valley and across the world.

Born on February 24, 1955 and raised in Palo Alto, California, Jobs was one of a handful of figures who straddled two generations that helped transform the small corner of California into the world’s hub for technogical innovation.
Having founded Apple in his family’s garage in 1976 with his friend Steve Wozniak, more than 30 years of innovation resulted in Apple surpassing oil giant Exxon Mobil as the world’s most valuable company earlier this year. In the process Jobs helped reinvent the personal computer, music and mobile phone industries as well as reshape the attitude of millions to technology.

Everyone who works at the Blayney Partnership are huge ‘Mac fans’ and believe that Apple’s innovative products have completely changed our working lives for the better. Some ingenious photoshop skills were required to produce a heart shaped fire ring around the vinyls to link the 2 slogans ‘Sharing the love since 1994′ & ‘There’s nothing hotter than Potter’.
