Frank Ocean - Back

2011-08-04T08:01:00.003-04:00

I am honestly a HUGE fan of this guy ever since my friend made me download his mixtape nostalgia,ULTRA. Frank Ocean is a member of the group OFWGKTA, which is led by artist Tyler, The Creator. If you weren't already aware, Ocean will be featured on two of the tracks off of Kanye and Jay-Z's upcoming album Watch The Throne, and I guarantee those are two of the best. He is about to blow up so look out for this guy. Track is tagged up for now but I will re-post as soon as the tag less comes out. Enjoy y'all.

Obie Trice - Battle Cry

2011-08-04T00:21:00.000-04:00

Obie Trice is still in the game? I wasn't too sure considering this is the first good track I have heard from the guy in who knows how long. Regardless, Trice goes in hard over this one which happened to be a pleasant surprise for me. Check it out.

Asher Roth - Another One Down Feat. D.A. Wallach

2011-08-04T00:08:00.001-04:00

Never really been a fan of Asher Roth but every now and then he grabs my attention. This is the first single which is slated to be on his upcoming sophomore album. Really catchy song by the man who let the world know that he loves college.

Drake - Headlines (Prod. by Boi-1da)

2011-08-02T20:20:00.000-04:00

Here's the first official single off Drake's new album Take Care, which is currently set to drop October 24th. I'm a fan of this song, it has more of an Over feel to it. I wouldn't be mad if his album was a lot more like this, and a lot less singing, but I know that's wishful thinking.

French Montana - Shot Caller feat. Currensy

2011-08-02T20:16:00.002-04:00

French Montana recurits Young Spitta for this new track. French Montana is rumored to be signing with Maybach Music, with pretty much every other upcoming rapper nowadays. This is a smooth song, and a good look from both these dudes.

Lore'l - I Got This feat. Red Cafe & Corey Gunz

2011-08-02T20:11:00.003-04:00

This is my probably one of my favorite songs out right now, by some chick named Lore'l. The features are what makes this song, as Red Cafe and Corey Gunz both come through with some real nice verses. This chick sounds alot like Nicki Minaj, so if that's up your alley then check this shit out.

Bad Meets Evil - Above the Law

2011-07-30T21:40:00.000-04:00

This song is outta control good. Honestly its ridiculous how hard Em and Royce destroy this track. If you are a fan of their work, there is no doubt in my mind you will love this cut.

As you all know, I am a huge fan of Tyga, and in my opinion is the best outta the whole Young Money camp. In anticipation of his Careless World album he is preparing, he decides to drop the 2nd mixtape in his Well Done series. He goes in over some top beats in the game right now. Pusha T - Fear of God Mixtape

2011-07-23T11:04:00.002-04:00

We'll keep the mixtapes rolling, this time with Pusha T's Fear of God mixtape. Pusha T is usually pretty hit or miss with me, but he definitely does his thing throughout this album. These are my two favorites, with Feeling Myself currently all over the radio. The second one features Pharrell and Curtis, which is good to see there both alive and well.

Lil Wayne - Sorry 4 The Wait Mixtape

Lil Wayne finally drops his highly anticipated mixtape Sorry 4 The Wait in prelude to his upcoming Carter IV project. These are a few of the standout tracks, posted in rank of my preference. This mixtape definitely isn't No Ceilings or Drought 3 worthy, but he still does his thing.

DJ Khaled - We The Best Forever

2011-07-23T10:51:00.002-04:00

These are the best songs off of DJ Khaled's We the Best Forever album, which is available in stores now. First up is I'm Thuggin featuring Flocka and Ace Hood, and you already know what to expect from these two. The second one features some of the top up and coming rappers out there right now including Big Sean and Vado, who definitely do there thing. Last is my favorite, A Million Lights which features a slew of Young Money rappers not named Lil Wayne.

DJ Khaled - Money Feat. Young Jeezy & Ludacris

2011-07-20T23:30:00.000-04:00

I hate when Khaled does anything on a track, but he has made a habit of scooping up awesome rappers and throwing them together on a track. Jeezy and Luda absolutely murder this track. We The Best Forever just recently dropped, so make sure you cop it now.

Wale - Bad Girls Club Feat. J. Cole

Tony Yayo - Haters Feat. 50 Cent, Shawty Lo, Kidd Kidd & Roscoe Dash

2011-07-20T22:57:00.000-04:00

This song is pretty dope, many thanks to 50 killing the hook. Tony Yayo doesn't usually put out anything worth your ear, but this one is an exception. Definitely give this a shot, some real solid features.

YC - Racks (Remix) Feat. Nelly, B.o.B, Yo Gotti, Trae Tha Truth, CyHi Da Prince, Dos & Ace Hood Video

2011-06-28T23:13:00.000-04:00

This is one hot remix/video with some dudley ass features. This serves as a nice reminder of how much of a savage Nelly is. Video had my full attention through its entirety, worth it.

Shwayze - Love Letter Feat. The Cataracs & Dev

2011-06-27T23:10:00.000-04:00

This may not be your style, but as I am sure you all can tell by now I like shit like this. Nice alternative kinda track which I guess can be considered R&B (not really but sorta). You see The Cataracs & Dev on this track and you would expect a club track, but this is more of a smooth/chill song which Shwayze has made a habit of putting out. Give it a shot.

Gym Class Heroes - Stereo Hearts Feat. Adam Levine

2011-06-27T23:02:00.000-04:00

Gym Class have always been one of my favorite groups which can kinda be considered hip-hop. I love how they bring a different sound to the table and Travie McCoy always adds nice vocals to any track he is on, especially one of his own. This is a hot ass single, definitely moved toward the top of my playlist.

Game - I'm On Feat. Mars

2011-06-27T22:56:00.000-04:00

Now this is what I am talking about Game, going in hard like he used to back in the day. Love how he starts this with "guess who's back" too, because this is the kind of stuff I like to hear and expect from him. Let's hope the R.E.D. Album can be a resurgence for Game. Not obsessed with the chorus but Game's verses make up for it.
