Boots No7 Vital Brights Lipstick

Vital Brights Lipsticks are from the new Limited Edition No7 Spring Collection. There are two shades of lipstick in the collection which I picked up both. RRP for these is £10.00 each but Boots are usually generous with coupons so I got £5.00 off.

The packaging is completely different to their standard line being a white squared casing, which is nice and completes the collection. It doesn't feel cheap at all.

I found both of these lipsticks to be a different texture than what I've ever experienced in other lip products. It's light but it has a very slight tacky texture. Being a 'glossy' lipstick that they claim. I do not think it is. It's a sort of sheer cream finish that has a really nice sheen. They have a wonderful fragrance of vanilla, that's very yummy.

Of course the colour is sheer as it supposed to be but it can easily be built up without clogging up too much product. I have to admit some sheer lipsticks can be straight down right boring, these are not at all. They're just neutralised shades that would suit most.
The colours are really wearable and the would just about compliment any eye makeup look. If you're afraid of hot pinks, I suggest 'Blooming Pink' would be just right for as it's not bold it comes neutralised.

Longevity is not bad as it lasts an hour on me (normal sheer colours wouldn't do that normally) but the sheen disappears fast, if you're eating expect these to disappear right away.

Blossoming Pink - A beige nude, very slight warm rose undertones with the tiniest micro iridescent shimmers.
Blooming Pink- A creamy neutral mellowed hot pink

Seriously for sheer lipsticks these are seriously not bad at all.

Maybelline Volume XL Seduction Plumping Lipcolor Lipstick in 140 Petal Attraction

It is a discontinued item and I was originally going to put this in a 'Vampiress Beauty Randomness' post, though I couldn't help but give this Maybelline lip product a post of it's own. It's still widely available from cosmetic discounters web stores, Ebay and Amazon, so not all bad.

Petal Attraction- Neutral petal rose pink with tiny reflective micro glitters and has a shiny finish. (Looks slightly darker on me in real life)

The lipstick applies really shiny and glides on the lips like butter, but with a thin texture and pigmented. It smells absolutely divine like sugared oranges and tastes not half bad either. For the plumping I feel that it works, my lips do feel and look slightly larger. There is of course a tingly sensation but it's not uncomfortable like some can be, it's mild and feels to me almost cooling and does not dry my lips out at all. On wear time it's really quite good and lasts for at least two hours on me but the shine does fade.

I really would like to know why Maybelline thought it was a good idea to discontinue this product, I love the formula and I 100% prefer this over their Color Sensational line. I really would like to locate other shades.

Carmex Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm in Pink Sheer Tint

I'm a big fan of Carmex balms already 'Cherry' hands down is the best lip balm I've ever encountered. No balm ever seems to heal my sore, chapped and windswept lips like Carmex does. Seeing this at Boots I had to have it but now I wish I would of got all the variations of Moisture Plus.

Moisture Plus lip balms come in a golden cream slim plastic tube, which is quite fancy for a Carmex product.

Full colour the pink tint isn't but it's a lot stronger in colour than most tinted lip balms, while it's not the hot pink seen on the tube on the lips, it certainly is a nice milky shade of pink without any shimmers of any sort.
It feels like balmy hydrating lipgloss and it has that shine too, if your lips are in a sore chapped state and you still can't bare to be without any lipcolour. I guarantee to try this, it'll cool your lips down, help with healing and give you a bit of colour.

Carmex Mositure Plus comes with the likes of SPF15, Vit E, Aloe and Shea Butter, it doesn't last very long on your lips but it's very easy to apply. The scent is like a vanilla cake and tastes sweet too, but not in a way that's sickly strong. Maybe I'm being greedy but 2g of product I don't think it's going to last long....

Boots Natural Collection Eyeshadows

While Natural Collection lipsticks are the most talked and raved about the eyeshadows have got overlooked. I happen to love all three I purchased and I think the formula is high quality considering the price is very cheap the solos are £1.79 and for the duo is £1.99 not much difference for two shadows in one.

I found that all three shadows have the same formula which is pearly, decently pigmented but light and very easy to blend. You can easily pick up a lot of colour and these are not chalky at all. Out of all I must say that the duo has the best colour payoff.

Duo Eyeshadow in Vanilla/Plum- A rich deep purple followed by a light yellow toned cream.

Solo in Candy Floss- The pearliest light frosted pink.

Solo in Lavender- A medium lilac blue

LOOK Beauty Double Hit Lip in Berry Blast Shade 1

I have to say I'm really impressed with the concept of this product, lipstick with exact matching lipgloss. LOOK Beauty have done very well! I cannot stop applying this lip product. It's very moisturising and of course oh my the lipgloss end smells incredible like seriously creamy coconut. The lipstick side doesn't have a scent strangely. Double Hit Lips come in four shades, all are bold bright shades.

Berry Blast- A creamy medium pink purple lavender.

The Lipstick is supposed to be matte but to me it has a slight sheen and a very light texture on the lips, but with a lot of pigmentation. I'd also like to add that the lipgloss has no stickiness to it whatsoever and is also highly pigmented but not totally opaque. As for it staying on your lips, on me probably an hour without eating or drinking.

So it's not long lasting but it looks amazing and feels so luxurious on my lips, I'll have to recommend that you pick up one or two.

Innisfree Eco Natural Green Tea BB Cream SPF25/PA++

We all know the benefits of drinking cups of green tea, so adding this to your daily makeup routine has to be good too.

This is my first venture into Korean brand Innisfree and I'm liking this product so far!
While it only has a small amount of English on the packaging I had to do a little research about the product before buying.

It's a moisturising BB cream with the main ingredient being 100% pure organic green tea water from Jeju Island. Other major ingredients are Chamomile, Lavender extract and Camellia Flower extract. Not to mention that it doesn't contain no antiseptic substance, colouring matter, alcohol, benzophenone and mineral oil.

Innsifree BB cream comes in a pump tube which is the norm of many Korean BB creams. I found that the tube I got was a bit random since when I sometimes push down the pump to apply the product It ends up shooting somewhere else, it's happened a few times, there's probably a air bubble in there somewhere. The texture is quite thin compared to some BB creams but it doesn't effect the coverage which I'd say is a medium. It blends flawlessly into my skin and the product is very easy to work with due to the lovely texture. It's highly hydrating without being greasy. There is a scent to the product which I think is yummy, it's like a tropical fruit punch, without being overpowering and fades after application.

Innsifree Green Tea BB cream comes in two shades, of course I chose number '1' as this is the lightest colour. It actually is slightly darker than my natural skintone but as it blends so well with your natural skintone it's not noticeable. I'm very impressed with this BB cream and would consider purchasing again, though it still can't beat my Missha Perfect Cover BB.

Arrogant Cat Dusk "I" Eau De Parfum 100ml - Didn't know anything about Arrogant Cat till I looked it up online and it happens to be a clothing line. Anyhow, I scored this fragrance for under a tenner at FragranceDirect. I love the look of the red cat's eye bottle and the sound of the notes, why not? It's presented beautifully and even has a little cat lady dangling down on the clip which is in place of a lid, which many fragrances are doing nowadays. It smells sweet but spicy, it's a sexy scent. The only downfall is that it doesn't last very long. There's is also a 'Dawn' version which is in a blue bottle. I'm quite intrigued on what that smells like.

Gemspa Reviving Rose Quartz 30ml Eau De Toilette- A new spa brand that's recently popped up in Morrisons. Everything from body butters to hand wash. I had to pick up this rose scent for around £6.00. It's a elegant sweet rose scent that's also refreshing. I love the smell of rose products. There's bundles of different scents here with matching lotions and scrubs to go with it. I'm inlove. :)

Barry M Kohl Pencil in 21 Kiwi Green- Another addition to my growing collection of these kohl pencils. This one is a golden lime green, which is creamy and easy to apply.

Fearne From Dusk Till Dawn Eyes Night Compact - A product I purchased in the big Boots boxing day sale. I love Fearne's shadows, they're really pigmented, smooth but have a very light thin texture.
From left to right there's a teal with slight sparse micro glitters, a nude golden beige and a fiery coppery brown. All in this beetle themed mirrored compact.

Fashionista Double Take Long-Wear Lipstick

Fashionista long-wear lipsticks are slightly longer lasting than a average lipstick, especially for a creamy-type lipstick, though I don't think it's enough to be classed as a long-wear lipstick. If I was having a meal it would be gone.

The first thing that caught my eye was the luscious slim shiny red packaging. It feels very sturdy and made very well. So I won't be bothered about dumping this in my handbag.

The two shades I have are Shade 2 Natural Pink and Shade 1 Cinnamon. I found that Cinnamon is actually lighter and more moisturising than Natural Pink, where as Natural Pink lasted the longest on me and gave me a subtle stain when it went. I find the scent on these absolutely delicious like a coconut dessert, fortunately there is no bad taste either.

Shade 2 Natural Pink- Medium warm petal pink, not really 'nautral to me' as it appears bold on my lips. A creamy finish.

Shade 1 Cinnamon- Seductive 90's nude warm brown with a modern pearly finish. This lipstick would go with anything.

Both of these colours are very pigmented in one stroke. All in all I really love these lipsticks and would love to pick up some more shades. I find myself reaching for Cinnamon most of the time lately.

Nivea Pure & Natural Lip Care Milk & Honey

Out of all the lip balms I've tried from Nivea this has to be the best. It's the most moisturising and the texture is just perfect. Weird enough it looks like butter and applies like butter. It does the job to soften and care for my lips, to be honest I'd probably just apply this anyway because I love how it feels.

The texture leaves the lips very shiny, where milk & honey comes into it, I find that the scent is made well. It's a very true honey scent with a touch of buttery milk. I do not detect any taste though, which is a good thing as I might want to eat it.

Nivea claims that the Pure & Natural range is 100% free of preservatives and 90% of the ingredients are from natural origins, I don't know much about chemistry but I definitely don't see any parabens in the ingredients, although it's going to have to have some sort of preservative if it's a liquid cosmetic.

All in all I would buy this again at £1.99 it's a steal. I wouldn't mind trying some other products from their Pure & Natural range.

Superdrug Colourworks London Eyeshadow Palette

Hope everyone had a nice New Year and I missed posting about it, just like last year opps! However I'm not that big on the New Year.

Colourworks London is a makeup brand that is released at Superdrug for Xmas.

I received this palette at Xmas and I'm extremely pleased with it. There's 18 eyeshadows in this altogether and I'm liking every single shade especially that bright magenta at the bottom. All are very pigmented and remind me of MUA eyeshadows but they're a lot more drier in texture. The shadows seem to all blend very well and each have pearl or shimmery finish. Of course there is a few that aren't as pigmented but that few are still really workable.

The original price is £7.99 on these but I see on the website it's gone down to £4.99, or maybe it's even cheaper instores. If you come across one, do consider to pick one up because you won't be disappointed.

I got this half price off retail at Boots. After Xmas they have a huge half price sale on all gifts and people seem to have gone extra mad this year, I don't think there is much left.

I'm really pleased with this set and because of the quality, all the pencils are very pigmented and creamy. Even the glitter shades aren't stiff and hard to work with. The packaging is in a hard cardboard box that you flip open to reveal a mirror, tutorials and of course the contents.
One thing I'm not impressed with (I'm going to be blunt) is the little looks inside, I think they're rubbish and they need to see what I see other beauty bloggers do out there.

Moccasin - Medium metallic golden brown
Pine Needle- Deep matte green teal
Drifter- Bold pearly dark electric blue
Purple Durple- Deep matte aubergine purple
Chalk- Glittery icy baby blue
Lemon- What looks like a greenish gold but the base doesn't show so it's a clear pencil with golden glitters.

The kohl pencil is actually pretty descent it's very soft and creamy although it isn't the blackest black.

Overall it's a really good set but still not enough to make me buy it at full price.

Chupa Chups Mango Lip Gloss - Saw loads of these on all the counters of Primark. There were little toddlers there having huge tantrums because they actually thought they were real lollipops, I felt really sorry for their parents. Anyhow there were three flavours, strawberry, vanilla and of course mango which I purchased for £2.50. It was nice to make a change from the normal vanilla and strawberry. I had to have it, just for the novelty. The gloss is very watery thin in texture, not sticky and is completely clear. Doesn't last long and this is what I expected, though something unexpected happened, the mango lipgloss actually stinks of watermelon and ahem I thought this was mango? Not good.

Asda Calming & Softening Shower Scrub (With Extracts of Cherry Blossom & Rice Milk)- Asda are bringing out all sorts of new body products at the moment. I adore this scrub, it's more of a shower gel and a scrub in one. If you use this as a scrub you won't need shower gel as the scrub is in a shower gel formula if that makes sense. The smell is so sophisticated and gently sweet and does what it's supposed to do. Costs only £1.50, when you use this product you really would think it's something way more expensive.

MUA Makeup Academy Eye Shadow in Shade 22 -Pearl - The £1.00 eyeshadow that reminds me much like MAC Seedy Pearl, but more pink and 10x more pigmented. Feels weird that MAC costs £10.50 more.

Next Glimmer Lip Glosses Set - Got this as a Xmas present. Contains 3 glosses all with a golden sheen.
None of them have names but they're all really nice quality. First off they're not thin and aren't sticky, they smell like a delicious caramel tart. Look seriously shiny on the lips.

I'll describe the shades in the same order as the picture below:

1- Sheer muted ruby red with micro gold sparkles.
2- Sheer coffee caramel with lighter micro gold sparkles
3- A clear gloss with tiny golden sparkles, can't really see the sparkles at all when you apply.

Avon Colortrend Kiss 'N Go Lipstick in Amethyst

After Vino Disco this comes close to my favourite. The swatches are seriously bad on the Avon website, this colour 'Amethyst' looks absolutely nothing like the swatch. I'm not disappointed though, as I knew before about this issue, they're cheap and I'm not fussed as I basically would find a way to wear any colour. Currently they have a buy 1 get 1 free offer on this lipstick range.

Amethyst is a gorgeous vivid deep cool pink that's got just the right amount of pearl. The lipstick is intensely creamy, I find it really moisturising and very pigmented. As with Colortrend lipsticks they have a nice vanilla scent.

As it's really creamy I find that longevity is pretty bad but saying that this one has lasted the longest out of the others I've previously reviewed.

Fashionista Fashion Secret Gel Eyeliner in Style Queen

A few new brands have recently launched in Superdrug being Fashionista one of them. For a while I didn't get or love the whole 'gel liner' thing, but now I've grown to love it!

The gel liner comes in which looks like a big liquid liner, apart from the top you pull out a secret brush and you twist it open like a liquid liner to reveal the gel pot. I like the idea it's pretty alright. The brush is actually a nice quality, the bristles are a bit bendy but it's usable.

Style Queen- A reflective metallic rose copper. This colour isn't common in gel liner ranges, this is why I chose it. I found the consistency intensely creamy, so creamy in fact I could mess up application if I weren't careful. The pigment was ok but it did get patchy, who knows it could be the way too creamy formula that was messing with the pigment.

I wore this combined with my black liner and It lasted all day. So longevity is good.

Not keen on the formula and for around £6.00 I'd rather pay a couple of quid extra and get something better.

Sleek The Berry Collection Christmas Edition

Instead of a palette Sleek brought out a Christmas collection with 3 full sized products (all exclusive limited edition shades) in a gift box. All which are deep berry wine colours which I think look very 'Goth' indeed. :)

Costing only £10.00 I think it's a great deal.

True Colour Lipstick in 748 Cranberry (Matte)- A very deep warm bloodied wine, I found this lipstick to be seriously long lasting even through meals. However it can be very drying considering it's a matte finish. You need your lips to be in top condition to wear this because if you don't it can gather in dry parts and look uneven. Despite that I think it's a lovely vampy lipstick that doesn't need to be reapplied often. No scent or taste.

Kohl Pencil in 747 Mossberry- It isn't their standard Kohl pencils so I don't know why they called it the same thing. Anyhow it's a chunky pencil which can be used as eyeliner or shadow. The colour is a deep matte red toned plum looks quite brown on the close up of the pencil but when swatched it's different story. I really like these shades for eyes and usually they're very hard to come by. It's not the creamiest opaque pencil but it's easy to use and build up different intensities of the colour. I'll be getting a lot of use out of this.

Blush in 749 Fenberry- A satin brown toned red. I really thought this was going to be too pigmented, unblendable and just look muddy on my pale skin, but nope by just using a small amount on my cheeks it gives a deep vampy wine flush. It's very easy to blend.

Overall I'm really impressed with everything in this set and I know I won't neglect any of these products. It's a good happy buy for me.

Barry M Kohl Eye Pencils

Ever since I purchased Barry M's 13 Pastel Turquoise which I posted about in my 27th Randomness post. I've been wanting to haul some more, so I did. I love the bold colour choice which most brands would be too scared to do, for one red eyeliner....yay!

These Kohl liners are stiff but warm up as soon as they touch the skin, they're so pigmented but I can say I didn't think that '15 Pastel Lilac' wasn't as opaque as the others, still as creamy but slightly patchy.

At £2.99 each and a ton of extreme shades, I don't think I'm done just yet.

Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly Lip Tint Bar in 01 Cherry Kiss

Gorgeous Aqua packaging from Korean brand Holika Holika's 'Jelly' lines. While having a jelly faze of lip tints in the shape of a lipstick, I wanted to try more in hope of finding a more pigmented tint, sadly the tint in this jelly is very sheer and hardly noticeable. Although I can say that it's not all bad as I find this to be comforting and moisturising, it smells of real strawberry jelly and tastes good too.

Contains mint water and marine jelly.
Tint Bar is meant to colour your lips 5 secs after applying (there is colour but not very much at all) and will make smooth and bouncy lips without wrinkles (makes my lips very smooth and cushioned).

The colour is supposed to work with the heat from your lips which again is different but I didn't notice any change no matter how warm the product got, I don't want to burn it though, it's far too pretty.

'01 Cherry Kiss' looks like a bouncy ball even with glitter flakes inside like the ones that you get from the dispensers outside corner shops.

I can say I prefer this 100% over L'Oreal's Lip Glow with the texture look and taste, but as these types of things are so sheer, I think I'm going off them. Pretty to look at but that's about it really.

ASTOR VIP Lipstick in 122 Pink Desire- Found at Poundland! It's a gorgeous light, shiny and moisturising lipstick that's easy to wear. It's a light neutral pink with a the most beautiful light green iridescence to it. Smells fruity too.

Vaseline Lip Therapy in Creme Brulee- Yum, I'm already in love with the Cocoa Butter version so I had to have this. The scent is sweet and smells custard-like but it has a hint orange scent that you notice when you apply. I purchased this at Superdrug. It's yummy but not as yummy as the cocoa butter version. Good thing too as this is limited edition not sure how long it will be on the shelves for.

Sanctuary Mela Rose & Pistachio Body Butter- My favourite scent ever and most favourite formula. It's light but highly moisturising, non greasy, sinks in straight away. The scent is rich, sweet and intoxicating I could sniff this for ages. That's why I went and bought a full sized version. Will now most certainly buy backups, yes that's how much I love it.

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in 01 Black - You know how much I love my Revlon liquid liner, but I can't help love everything that this gel liner gives too (traitor, I know). It's the blackest black and doesn't look dry or watery like my liquid liner starts doing on me occasionally. The brush that comes free with it is perfect which is rare for a drugstore brand, it lasts till I take my makeup off. The only problem is that you have to wash it after every use but I do that with my eyeshadow brushes anyway. I use the MAC brush cleanser and wash cloth trick for quick cleaning.
