It’s advertised to jam at any distance and in any circumstance. This review should give you a better understanding if Blinder’s performance is really just marketing, rather then performance.

Testing equipment: For this jammer test we used the LTI Ultralyte 20-20 laser gun. This lidar gun is deadly to drivers without a laser jammer because it ranks #1 in the world and #2 in the USA as the most common lidar gun. Laser Technology Inc. was the first company to invent the police speed laser gun.

Laser jammer testing vehicle (300M): Just like our other Blinder M45 Xtreme laser jammer test runs we decided to use a Chrysler 300M because its virtually the same size as the Dodge Charger found in the newest Blinder M25 Xtreme commercial filmed by ‘Outrun.’ Unlike the paid filmers, we’re going to see how this Blinder Xtreme laser jammer performed under real circumstances. We are not hear to film a commercial. We’re here to see how the jammer really performs.

Testing Parameters: The LTI Ultralyte 20-20 lidar was mounted on a tripod while the camcorder was positioned to film through the H.U.D. We have more Blinder Xtreme laser jammer test runs coming out where the lidar guns aren’t tripod mounted. Be sure to stay tuned for those future Blinder Xtreme test videos.

Summary of test results pulled from Blinder Xtreme laser jammer test videos:
Part 1 0f 3.
Test run #1 – Speed reading at 392 feet
Test run #2 – Speed reading at 1,478 feet
Test run #3 – Speed reading at 1,113 feet
Test run #4 – Speed reading at 304 feet

Part 2 0f 3. Watch the test videos!
Test run #5 – Speed reading at 822 feet
Test run #6 – Speed reading at 904 feet
Test run #7 – Speed reading at 471 feet
Test run #8 – Speed reading at 940 feet

Part 3 0f 3 Blinder M45 laser jammer test.
Test run #9 – Speed reading at 1,129 feet
Test run #10 – Speed reading at 1,214 feet

Average punch through from 10 runs = 876 feet!

Conclusion: Take a good look at those punch through numbers. One could conclude by using this Blinder xtreme jammer you’d be relatively safe if the police officer first targeted you past 1,500 feet. Anything closer then 1,500’ and the Blinder M45 Xtreme laser jammer may let you down. I know I wouldn’t feel safe with this strapped to my car. Watch the test videos and see for yourself. The Blinder M45 Xtreme doesn’t work as advertised.

Laser gun defeats Blinder M45 Xtreme laser jammer

Kustom ProLaser III vs Retail Blinder M45 Xtreme laser jammer Test and Review
Test vehicle notes: We specifically chose the Chrysler 300M for this laser jammer test because the cars dimensions are almost identical to the Dodge Charger used in the latest Blinder Xtreme commercial. The Blinder Xtreme laser jammer commercial had a plateless Charger giving the impression to the viewer a Blinder M25(only 2 heads on the car!) will work flawlessly against a Kustom ProLaser III.

Blinder commercials vs retail unit independent testing: The commercial uses a car with ONLY 2 heads, a Blinder M25 Xtreme. For our 300M we doubled the jammer protection by putting 4 jammer heads up front even when the car is virtually the same size as the Charger. That’s 100% more laser jammer heads for the reality testing. Did we have to do this? No. We figure anyone watching a commercial is smart enough to know the difference between hype and real testing. Comparing apples with apples we even covered up the license plate with the Blinder M45 box sleeve for most of the test runs!

Laser gun notes: The ProLaser III made by Kustom Signals is the most common lidar speed gun you’ll find in the United States. This laser gun is also touted in the laser jammer industry as being the easiest gun to jam. The gun operator mounted the Kustom ProLaser III on a tripod and held the video camera up to the HUD.

10 Tripod mounted ProLaser III runs

Summary outcome from part 1 of 2 test videos: <u1:p></u1:p>

Run #1 -- Speed reading at 962'<u1:p></u1:p>

Run #2 -- Speed reading at 1,580'<u1:p></u1:p>

Run #3 -- Speed reading at 321'<u1:p></u1:p>

Run #4 -- Speed reading at 479'

Run #5 – Speed reading at 755’

Summary outcome from part 2 of 2 test videos:

Run #6 -- Speed reading at 540'<u1:p></u1:p>

Run #7 -- Speed reading at 322'<u1:p></u1:p>

Run #8 -- Speed reading at 759'<u1:p></u1:p>

Run #9 -- Speed reading at 285'

Run #10 – Speed reading at 781’

Average punch through reading from 10 runs = 678.4 feet

One conclusion can definitely come from these punch through numbers. If a Blinder M45 Xtreme laser jammer isn’t sufficient enough to protect you from laser how on earth can a Blinder M25 Xtreme protect you? Remember our test car had the plate blocked by the Blinder box sleeve most of the time and the car is virtually the same size as the Dodge Charger in the Blinder commercial.

We have more laser jammer test videos on the way. Be sure to subscribe to our blog by clicking the “Atom/RSS” feed on the bottom.
tripod mount

Test vehicle notes: The retail Blinder M45 Xtreme laser jammer was placed on a Chrysler 300M. The test vehicle did not have a chrome grill. A few Blinder Xtreme videos have been popping up on certain forums, one of the latest videos showing a Blinder M25 Xtreme on a Dodge Charger. It's important to note the Chrysler 300M is almost the exact same dimensions as a Charger. The Charger is 74.5" wide and the 300M is 74.1", 0.4 inches shorter in width. The 300M is 58.4" tall compared to the Charger at 58.2".

Laser gun notes: The Laser Atlanta lidar we used in this video set is operated in standard mode, otherwise known as non-stealth mode. A tripod was used to hold the laser gun while the operator held a camera to the HUD. JA-1/2/3 are jam codes on the latest version of the Laser Atlanta. All test runs had the jammer indicator turned on, unless otherwise noted.

Summary outcome from part 1 of 2 test videos:

Run #1 -- Speed reading at 888'

Run #2 -- Speed reading at 1,264'

Run #3 -- Speed reading at 1,071'

Run #4 -- Speed reading at 1,178'

Summary outcome from part 2 of 2 test videos:

Run #5 -- Speed reading at 1,091'

Run #6 -- Speed reading at 1,079'

Run #7 -- Speed reading at 1,112'

Run #8 -- Speed reading at 525'

Average punch through from all 8 runs = 1,026 feet.

We're not finished….
