Man deceives Man,Poses as A Lady

A man has expressed shock after realizing that the woman he took home for 'enjoyment' is actually a man.

According to reports, the she-him identified as Ayoola a.k.a Lil Unique who is a cross-dresser was picked up by a man who thought he was a woman and invited him to his house.

The man shockingly found out he was a man and called out neighbors to the scene the next morning.

Eye witnesses descended on the crossdresser heavily and rendered heavy blows on him for deceiving the distressed neighbor.

Muslims are accusing the rapper, Kanye West of mocking the Islam faith after he named his new line of Adidas Yeezy boots after the Islamic angels of

judgement (Israfil) and death (Asriel).

A 20-year-old man, identified as Uche was caught by the Diobu Vigilante group allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in an uncompleted building on Ekwe Street, Mile 3 Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Uche was

caught in the act around 1pm by people who saw him and his friends forcing the teenager into the uncompleted building and the suspect was immediately handed over to the police while others escaped.

Nnamdi Omoni, the Police Public Relations agreed with this incident in his statement: "Around 1pm, people called me from Ekwe Street, Mile 3 Diobu, Port Harcourt, that they saw some boys trying to rape a girl and I quickly sent my men to the scene.When my men got to the place, they caught one Uche raping a girl, who is about 16 or 17 years old while he

was having carnal knowledge of the victim and brought him to our office. I immediately called the Divisional Police Officer of the Nkpolu Police Division, who sent a team and picked up the suspect and the victim.There were three of them, who participated in the act, but the others saw our men and escaped, but Uche, who was already having carnal knowledge of the girl, was caught.”

Rich oil and gas resources notwithstanding, foreign direct investment in the South-South has been at a low ebb, for reasons, which economic analysts said, were associated with insecurity, lack of good corporate governance and nonexistence of

knowledge-driven economy.

Between 2013 and first quarter of 2020, the region which once got huge chunk of Nigeria’s FDI inflows in the 1970s, barely received $474,133,792 million out of the $92,284,945,105.59 inflow.

Finicial experts told The Guardian that the decrease in FDI was because of community hostility, militancy, kidnappings,poor infrastructure and political instability, sea-piracy and failure to pass the Petroleum Industry Bill.

Analysts has also blamed overdependence on the 13 percent derivation from the federation account as another reason the South-South failed to secure good investments within the period, as states could not get FDI in huge mineral resources like silica, tar sand, clay, limestone, granite, quartz, marble and gold salt. Others are tin, basalt, quartzite, kaolin, sand and feldspar. There were also little or no investments in agribusiness, light manufacturing and tourism.

Despite efforts by some of the states to develop friendly policies and improve infrastructure to attract investors, activities of cult groups, kidnappers, militants continued to increase the risk perception of potential investors who are reluctant to make investments in the five littoral states of the region.

Killer of Female Pilot Says It's A Mistake

The suspect, Nehemiah Adejoh who was driving the car that ran over the late female pilot, Tolulope Arotile has said his action was a mistake.

Adejoh told

a Kaduna magistrate court on Thursday, 20th August, that it wasn't his intention to kill her.The court has remanded him in prison pending further hearing

Adejoh was reported to be the one behind the steering of the vehicle that knocked down Arotile on July 11 before she was pronounced dead at the Nigerian Air Force hospital.

He explained that on seeing the late pilot walking along the roadside at the Air Force base, he reversed his car to exchange pleasantries with her but mistakenly ran over her.

The suspect has been charged with culpable homicide.

The chief magistrate, Danjuma Hassan has ordered the suspect to be remanded in prison.

3rd October has been fixed as the day for further hearing.

The Minister of Transport, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi had an arguement with the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Loans, Treaties and Protocols, Mr. Ossai Nicholas Ossai, on the

award of contracts for the construction of railways to the tune of $33 billion. The argument made the committee to suspend proceedings for about 30 minutes after which the Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila restored peace.

Ossai, expressed vexation with the Ministry of Transport for obtaining over $33 billion loan from China for the construction of rail project without any clear financing arrangements. He claimed that most of the commercial contracts agreements lacked local content clauses, said it was unfortunate that the deals were sealed by non-designated and un-authorised officials.

Ossai’s claim annoyed Amaechi who insisted that there was no truth in the allegation that his ministry obtained $33 billion for the construction of railway projects.

The minister, who had a hot exchange of words with Ossai, disclosed that his ministry had so far obtained $1.6 billion loan for the construction of the Lagos -Ibadan railway project.

Amaechi also faulted the notion held in certain quarters that the local content laws were breached by his ministry.

“Mr. Chairman, I have the right to speak, you invited me, I was once a member of the House. If you say Ministry of Transport has a contract of $33 billion, we want to see it because as the minister of transport, the only contract awarded so far is that of $1.6 billion for Lagos-Ibadan which is under threat.

“The implication of having a contract of $33 billion is that I will have a large number of workers. There’s no $33 billion contract in the Ministry of Transport. What we have is $1.6 billion contract awarded under President Muhammadu Buhari and $800 million contract awarded by former President Goodluck Jonathan.

“By the time we came, the contract awarded by Jonathan, signed by Aganga, had been completed up to 80 per cent, so we didn’t have to do the meeting of local content. The only one that has to deal with the issue of local content is the $1.6 billion contract that was awarded for Lagos to Ibadan for which the Chinese government is providing $1.2 billion and we’re providing the remaining $400 million.

“There are over 20,000 workers, and only 560 of them are Chinese, we need to begin to say the truth. It’s good to tell Nigerians the truth, this is very political and we will show all the contracts awarded by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government.

“You asked about training, there are over 150 Nigerians in China being trained as engineers. We will provide the document to you by Tuesday. They have built two training institutions in Idu and Daura. We provided you with the list of total number of Chinese workers on the Lagos-Ibadan project,” the minister said.

Ossai had to make Amaechi know that they were not quarreling but rather ironing out national issues.

When Ossai said he was not talking about South South rail but Nigeria at large, Amaechi retorted: “You have approached me on south south rail. Have you not?. Until you get the loan, there will be no contract. And there will be no loan.”

The media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretta Onochie reacted to the warning by Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder and General Overseer of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel on

the application of the Company and Allied Matters Acts, CAMA, in churches.

The new CAMA law signed by President Buhari on 7th August states that religious bodies (churches and mosques) as well as charity organisations, will be strictly regulated by the Registrar-General of Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and a supervising minister.

Oyedepo warned on Sunday that the church is connected to God and therefore should not operate under the rules of mankind.

Oyedepo says that such laws are borne out of jealousy of “wicked leaders” about the progress of the church.

Onochie tweeted on Twitter saying: “Hope this is not true. If it is, Oyedepo will have to manufacture his own country and live by his own laws.As long as he lives and operates within the entity called Nigeria, he will live by Nigerian rules and laws.He will do as he’s told by the law. Customs seizes contrabands worth 10 billion naira

The Nigeria Customs announced a seizure of contrabands on Sunday with Duty Paid Value of 10 billion naira.

The Customs Area Controller Usman

Yahaya, said that the seizure was made in a during his statement in Lagos. This incident he said occured at Ido, Eruwa Road in Ibadan.

With further explanation, Yahaya said that the contraband was made up of 34 fairly used and new vehicles, second-hand clothes, foreign parboiled rice and Indian hemp.

“The contrabands include 34 different brands of both new and used vehicles laden with banned items such as second-hand clothes, foreign parboiled rice and Indian hemp

“Though there were stiff resistance from the smugglers who engaged the support of hoodlums, but the Customs operatives displayed high level of professionalism and restraint to secure the contraband to the Customs warehouse in Lagos without casualties,” Yahaya mentioned.

“We appreciate the support and the cooperation of patriotic members of the public in carrying out our mandate by providing timely and useful information.

“However, recalcitrant economic saboteurs should note that, they will continue to count their losses because we are better mobilised, organised and backed by the extant laws to be always ahead of them,” he said.
