I’d rather be fishing.

In a nice sunny spot on the coast. Maybe I could bring my umbrella. Not a snake or pool of venom in sight. It would be glorious.

But no, instead I’m on the Coiled Isle, having a panic attack while a dozen snakes twisted into a single mega-snake comes at me. This is the life of a hero of Azeroth, apparently.

There are certain game genres that I’m not really a fan of, but I somehow keep stumbling into. I don’t really like fishing in games, and yet, somehow they keep finding me. We went and saw The Pretty Reckless last week, and it was amazing! They put on one heck of a great rock show. Taylor Momsen has an amazing rock and roll voice, and the band backs her up so well. Their new album slotted in beautifully with their older songs like it belonged there all along. I’m glad that we took the extra trip to go see them headlining their own show, rather than the opener for AC/DC a couple of days earlier. If you get the chance to see them on their tour, you should take it. You won’t have a face anymore after it was rocked off, but that’s ok — you’ll have given it up for a good cause.

The rest of the trip was fun, rainy, but fun! We had ice cream in the mountains, soaked in some hot springs, and walked along a beach. The beach also had ice cream, if you can believe it.
