And you as parents need to act as a backbone and support them throughout. You should definitely help children with their homework.

In the process of helping children with their homework, most of the parents do a blunder. They themselves do the homework for their kids. As parents, our basic aim should be to help kids in understand how to do homework.

You should help in understanding the instructions and guide them in throughout. Tell them the process of completing their homework. You should guide them how to answer the questions. In order to motivate them to complete the homework, offer kids with prize.

Also help children learn their subjects. You can talk to them about the subject and topic and discuss with them about it. It would help children in understanding the subject properly and giving the correct answers. By doing this, you can help children with their homework.

Should you punish your child for lying or not has become a very concerning issue among parents? While deciding about punishment, parents should take into consideration whether your child lies occasionally or is it his habit. You should define punishments for levels of lying. In addition, as a parent, you need to decide a punishment depending on whether its first time lying or not.

But, you can always avoid the situation where you will need to punish your child for lying. You should talk to you child regularly about honesty. As parents, you need to tell to be honest in their life, home, school and friendship.

Often, children think that lies and stories are the same thing. Explain to them the difference between story, lie and tall tail. In addition, tell them that lies hurt people.

In order to teach them the lesson of honesty, tell me true stories and let them know the punishments set for lying.

If they still lie to you then you must punish them. But take age of child into consideration before you decide the punishment. Punish the child in such a way that he understands the importance of telling truth in life.

Stopping teenagers to get between the age of 15-19 is one of the main agendas of associations dealing with the teenagers. But, as a parent, how to deal with teen pregnancy is a bigger issue. Let’s have a look at few things you can do to cope with the situation:

Visit a doctor: Don’t hide your child at home. Take your girl to the doctor for proper check up in order to deal with teen pregnancy. Doctor would definitely keep it confidential and help you choose the best option for an ectopic case.

Take a mutual decision: Don’t force your decision on your child or doctor. Dealing with teen pregnancy can be very tedious. Take a mutual decision whether it is to raise the baby, give it for adoption or terminate the pregnancy.

Take counseling: Instead of screaming and blaming your child, go for counseling with trained counselors. It will help in getting in touch with your values and rightfully, dealing with teen pregnancy.

You tried your best but can’t seem to figure out what to do. You need to put all your worries to rest. Just follow the below mentioned secrets and soon you will find your child making friends.

Respect your child’s decisions: Don’t choose friends for your child. Everyone has different nature and personality and you should respect that. Allow your child to choose his or her own friends.

Plan adventure trips for your child: You need to expose your child to more children so that he can choose his or her friends. And you can help by planning more trips to parks, church groups, scouts etc.

Decorate home: Children love to bring their friends to home so decorate your home so that it is liked by kids. Make it more welcoming and organize a lot of activities in which children can participate.

Although babies are born with a natural immunity to disease, this typically begins to diminish at the age of two months. For this reason, it would be advisable that your child has the relevant immunisations to protect them from the threat of serious infections such as Meningitis and Polio.

There are many diseases that can be prevented through vaccinations. When your baby is a few months old, he can be a polio vaccination, DTP-Hib vaccination and a meningitis C vaccination. The polio vaccine is taken orally as drops, whereas the other two are given through injections in either the thing or the buttocks.

The MMR vaccine will protect your child against measles, mumps and rubella. MMR is given to your child as one single vaccination typically between the ages of one year up to eighteen months. DTP-Hib is a vaccine that protects your child against meningitis and septicaemia. It is recommended that you visit your doctor to discuss all of the available vaccinations.

Learning is one of the most important things for young children and babies; everything comes naturally to them at this age. Learning is fun for toddlers, as they are already beginning to explore and learn about their environment. A young child will often find it much easier to learn and retain new things than an older child or adult, so this is a great age to start teaching your kid basic math and reading skills.

Children should be taught in a fun and enjoyable way; often they cannot distinguish between learning and playing. If they get bored, then you can stop the session and do it another time. There are many learning games available to children of all ages, and these are a great way to keep kids occupied as well as teaching them new things.

Reading to your baby and toddler is another important skill, as the child will begin to distinguish between words and tones. You can also encourage your child to look at the pictures and learn what things are as you read the book to them. This can provide a great basis for language lessons and distinguishing between objects.

Getting a good night sleep is important for both parents and children; being an important factor in our psychological well-being. Young children often try to avoid sleep which is mainly due to their natural curiosity and the thought of missing something of importance. The amount of sleep that a child needs varies and is often up to the individual. Good sleeping patterns will however help your child to get into a good routine, and enable the entire family to sleep better.

A new born baby will typically sleep between sixteen and nineteen hours a day often waking up if they are hungry. Some newborns will sleep for no longer than five hours straight, but others will go through an entire night without waking up. As your baby grows older, they will typically sleep a little less, anywhere from twelve to fifteen hours a day.

If your child looks well-rested and happy; you can assume that they are sleeping enough. Children will often do anything to avoid sleep however, so you will want to establish a bedtime routine. You can do this by keeping noise levels down as bed time approaches, and keeping excitement to a minimum.

The world of internet has a lot of good things to offer kids. It is easier for them to do research. They can have online classes on different subjects. They can learn about a new craft. They can play games by themselves or with their friends. They can send and receive emails from their teachers and other family members.

There are a lot of benefits for the kid’s use of internet. But the internet can also pose some problems because they can access websites which may be pornographic in nature or they can be contacted by people who may be considered as belonging to the bad elements of the society. They can become vulnerable to abuse.

Parents should be aware of how their kids use the internet. They can install softwares or programs which can protect their children from accidentally or intentionally entering websites which may become potential sources of abuse or which may expose them to a world of perversion.

Internet safety for kids should be given importance. Educate your kids about it but first as parents, internet safety education should start with them.
