Let me put it in this way, the online arena is going through an evolution as a whole, you may already see or experience it by yourself. What I have found over the last year or two is that a website’s design really matters. I am not saying an ugly site can’t survive and don’t convert. What I am saying is ugly sites can make it hard to get serious high level partnerships and engagement, also the low level of traffic.

I am not saying the design needs to be elaborate or busy. I am simply saying that if you want your audiences, subscribers and prospects taken you seriously (they have evolved too – in sophistication and expectations), a clean, simple and Professional Design Optimized affiliate website (keep in mind, this also includes a clear navigation structure that doesn’t make the user think) can really give you a competitive advantage.

Don’t just sell ebooks, software, podcast and etc, you can mixed things up and sell advertising on your affiliate site as well. You can do this via the methods on a cost per click basis, or sell advertising in the form of traditional banners that is based on a CPM basis. A good affiliate site will do both – because just as with your affiliate programs, you don’t want all of your ad revenue coming from one supplier either.

6. Build Email List

Again, your email subscribers play a very important role in the journey to your affiliate business success, if you can build a trust with them and let them like you, they will buy products or services from you. So start to use creating methods to contact users to keep regular communication with them, develop email lists (I have had a good experience utilizing AWeber)

Finally, remember do your homework in terms of differentiate yourself from others and how to add-value to your business. Google doesn’t hate affiliate websites. but it hates those spamming affiliate sites. So treat your affiliate business like any other “real business” and develop a point of difference.

Tip #1: Search Engine Friendly URLs

Many search engines reject URLs that include a question mark (?), which means, like Google, will not index any pages that have a question mark or other character (like an ampersand or equals sign) in the URL. The question mark means that dynamic content is being called and populated within the web page, usually before it is even displayed. A typical ?’ed URL looks like this:

example.com/page.php?id=about&section=me

So always use search engine friendly URLs, don’t use of a query string and also be sure to use the keywords related to your niche when you’re naming your urls.

Tip #2: Keyword Research

It’s important to do keyword research before deciding what keywords you’ll focus on when optimizing your website, because search engines will decide to rank your website mainly based on the keywords that your site associated with. If you cannot assess the level of competition in your market, how much demand a keyword has and so on, you will not succeed.

Keyword Research is the term for identifying the keywords that are most relevant to the subject at hand. You also make use of keyword research to identify the exact words that your customer is searching for (which may be different from what you may use).

When you do keyword research you understand what people search on and hence use the correct words in your copy. You drive more traffic to your website by coming up more often for searches. When you become more relevant, your website achieves better ranking.

To get started, you can use free Google Keyword Research Tool. It is your best bet to make decisions based on Google-only data, use this tool to target long tail keywords because they’re easier to get ranked.

Tip #3: Site Map

A sitemap is basically the “public” floor plan of your website. It tells engines where to go and what to read, skipping the nofollow noindex pages, leaving the other ones more optimized as far as indexing capabilities works well. Also, it can effect your crawl rate, a site with 100 subpages, and only 10 of them are index and follow will have better rankings then a sloppy 90 follow and 10 no follow.

So always create a site map for your site and submit it by using Google’s webmaster tools. Google spiders your site and stores pages it thinks are important in it’s (huge) database. With a sitemap you can list all pages you think are relevant and even prioritize them.

A site map will allow the search engines to easily find all the pages within your website.

Tip #4: Meta Description

Other than the title tag, you can also use meta tag description tag in HTML – it is 160 character snippet used to summarize a web page’s content. Sometimes search engines use these snippets in search results to let visitors know what a page is about before they click on it. Google actually pulls your meta tag description when spidering your website so it’s very important that you have a well written and keyword rich meta tag description.

However, in regarding to whether the meta description count for rankings or not, Learn SEO series, SEOmoz says;

“Meta description tags, while not important to search engine rankings, are extremely important in gaining user click-through from search engine result pages (SERPs). These short paragraphs are webmasters opportunity to advertise content to searchers and let them know exactly what the given page has with regard to what they’re looking for.”

And in 21 Essential SEO Tips & Techniques, Search Engine Land says;

“The meta description tag won’t help you rank, but it will often appear as the text snippet below your listing, so it should include the relevant keyword(s) and be written so as to encourage searchers to click on your listing.”

Even if the keyword you use in the meta description doesn’t help in search rankings, it still might help in getting a searchers attention. So be sure your meta description uses the keywords you are targeting, and it is written in a way that will encourage searchers to click on that result.

Tip #5: Unique Body Content

Content is king online. For a long time search engine specialists have warned their clients about the dangers of duplicate content. If that is done, your website will get hurt. Having unique content will always be preferred by Google.

The more unique your content is the more attention it will get from the users checking it out. Quality based content will keep visitors at your site much longer hence the chance of you being contacted, or the chance of sold out your products or services will definitely increase. It will also help the search engines to index your site better than before. Therefore the importance of unique contents for you site is a matter not to be taken lightly.

Nowadays, the search engines algorithms work by rewarding sites with unique contents with high page rank and severely punishing sites with duplicate contents. It is clear from these facts that if you need to increase the ranking of your website in both local and global search engines, unique content is a must.

Tip #6: Link Building

You’ll need to start having links pointing to you from relevant and popular websites – these are called, backlinks. The more links you have coming into your site means that more people are referring you for soemthing you’re good at.

Understand that links aren’t easy to get, it just like people’s referrals aren’t easy to get as well. That’s why Google used the link factor because it knows that people only link to you once they find value in what you have to offer them.

Thus research the websites that your competitors who have achieved high page rank, and see what sites are linking to them, if possible, contact those websites to see if you can have a link as well. Or you can also get backlinks from article directory submissions, press release submissions, blog comment postings etc.

Tip #7: Getting Social Bookmarked

Social bookmarking is a method wherein the internet users can organize, search, store and manage various bookmarks of the internet web pages. It is the practice wherein bookmarks can be saved to the public websites along with tagging them with keywords. And social bookmarking considered to be a very powerful tool in the promotion of a website, as well as helps a lot in getting backlinks and in increasing the traffic.

Social bookmarking makes gives the site a very high popularity. There’s a new theory that if your website gets a lot of Google Plus Ones’s, it can be deemed as “quality” website because many people are sharing your website. Therefore, this might be taken into consideration when Google is deciding which website to rank at the top.

In today’s highly competitive internet universe, the importance of attracting targeted traffic to your website cannot be overemphasized. I am Not Good in Writing But I Want To be a Writer, How To Do That?

Alright, for myself, I am doing below these three simple things, and I find that they work great for me. I share them with you here, hope you find it helpful to you too in which to help you improve your writing skill and achieve explode your business.

1. Keeping a Journal

You may doubt this method, but believe me – the results of keeping a journal will probably amaze you after only a couple months. It is not only makes you a better writer, it will also make you a happier person.

In regards to writing, there’s one thing that is certain: the more you do it, practice the writing, the better you become at it. You don’t need anyone correcting what you’ve written either. All you need to do is to write every day, after time being, you will develop a solid style and voice of your own.

Don’t just plan to write – write. Find a subject you care about and which you in your heart feel others should care about too. It is only by writing, not dreaming about it, that you develop your own style.

In the other words, when you keep a journal, you can basically write about anything, anything that you wanted to write about, such as keep your thoughts organized, the way your day went, how it goes, what’s happening with your family, what’s going on with your work life and etc. The key point here is to simply write.

On the other hand, if you have a lot of writing to do for your business, like writing articles, blogs, eBooks and so forth, then you can skip the journal writing for that day.

No matter how and what your own schedule will be look like, just remember the important thing for you to do is to write every day, whether it’s for your journal or for your business.

2. Write at the Same Time Everyday

Being disciplined, you know that you need to write every day and write it at the same time.

Treat writing as a job. Be disciplined. Lots of writers get a bit OCD-ish about this. Graham Greene famously wrote 500 words a day. Jean Plaidy managed 5,000 before lunch, and then spent the afternoon answering fan mail. My minimum is 500 words a day – which is sometimes easy to achieve, and is sometimes, frankly, like shitting a brick, but I will make myself stay at my desk until I’ve got there, because I know that by doing it I am inching the book forward. Those 500 words might well be rubbish – they often are. But then, it is always easier to return to rubbish words at a later date and make them better.

By doing this, it can actually train your brain and let it get into the mode of writing, so don’t make yourself have any uncomfortable or pressure feeling of doing it.

Authors refer to this as “capturing the muse” because they realized that if they write at the same time every day, then they will be inspired to write, and the “muse” will bring them the inspiration to write well.

So don’t look back until you’ve written an entire draft, just begin each day from the last sentence you wrote the preceding day. This prevents those cringing feelings, and means that you have a substantial body of work before you get down to the real work which is all in – the edit.

Write at the same time everyday method will help you find that your mind gets trained, which helps you write what you need to write.

3. Follow a Proven Formula

If you have a talent for writing, you probably don’t need to follow a set formula. In fact, you might even be opposed to formulas. But for the rest of us, formulas are a good thing as long as they don’t completely handcuff our creativity, which means should have an outline.

Hove your outline and then cling to it as a lifeline. You can adjust it in mid-stream, but don’t try to just write your way into a better structure: think about the right structure and then write to it. Your outline will get you through those periods when you can’t possibly imagine ever finishing the damn thing — at those times, your outline will let you see it as a sequence of manageable 500 word sections.

The basic form that you have to remember for any writing is to have an introduction, a body, and a conclusion.
The introduction will introduce what will be discussed. The body will discuss everything as promised, and the conclusion will restate the introduction (in a different way) while telling the readers what they just read.

However, if you get stuck, get away from your desk. Take a walk, take a bath, go to sleep, make a pie, draw, listen to music, meditate, exercise; whatever you do, don’t just stick there scowling at the problem. But don’t make telephone calls or go to a party; if you do, other people’s words will pour in where your lost words should be. Open a gap for them, create a space, and be patient.

Thus, to become a better writer, there are three things you need to do – keeping a journal, writing it at the same time every day, and following a formula.

Read that again, because fully understanding that deceptively simple sentence is crucial to the bottom line of your business. If you can’t establish trust, you can’t make sales. Period.
