After the Halloween Masquerade, Hachiko went to the salon for a total makeover from his usual raindog look to a more sinister look because we no longer want our old Ninjadog character and were planning to be a Pet Shinigami instead. Here’s Hachiko’s snapshots before and after the makeover:

After playing with the new sinister look for sometime, both Hachiko and I realized that among the Gotei 13, Kurotsuchi Mayuri is the only captain-level shinigami with a real strong killing intent so we thought a sinister look is not really necessary. Though we both hope Hachiko could have a black kimono instead and a handy katana is necessary to complete the Shinigami look.

In other news, Playfish’ Pet Society released a new set of giftable mystery eggs – the Autumn Faerie. With items coming from those mystery eggs, Hachiko has adorned (and continuously adorning) his Halloween garden with an Autumn Faerie look.

The Autumn Faerie Tree Shelf is so awesome, it’s perfect for holding our toys. Hachiko still have 2 extra Autumn Faerie wings so if you’re having difficulty acquiring them, Hachiko is willing to trade with the autumn tree shelves. Leave him a message in Pet Society so we could proceed with the swap. Thanks!

I think there’s a Kon-looking plushie on new released golden mystery boxes. I hope I could get one soon but since the 999 Mystery Box glitch has already been fixed, getting one is not very easy.

November 1, 2009, around 4 o’clock in the afternoon inside a memorial park here in Tagaytay. I was staring at the moon when suddenly, a digital camera crashed-landed on my palms. I went berserk and started shooting at the moon using the camera’s aperture priority, shutter speed priority and manual setting. Here are three of the not-so-magnificent results:

I can’t remember which is the A, S or M among the three. I can’t even remember what camera model that was but the brand is SONY. I guess I’ll have to post the camera model if I get the chance to see that camera again.
Nothing fancy!

I was transferring stuff from the van to our booth in UP Bahay ng Alumni last week when I saw a woman who I think I met from somewhere but I can’t recall where. I went asking my companions if they knew that woman while, at the same time, I am cracking my skull trying to figure out whether I really know her or it was just another fragment of my wild imagination. I believe this is similar to what Jessica Zafra call a “semi-celebrity.” Someone you recognize from somewhere but you don’t know exactly from where.
Two and a half days passed and I finally got the chance to speak to that woman. She informed me that she had been cracking her own skull thinking who I am or where she met me. It turned out that the woman was the one who interviewed me for a position in a well-known media company and was sad to inform me that the company free hiring and is now in the brink of extinction. Hahaha!
I’d like to hear that reason – that the interview went really well (she did promise to call me once the general manager arrive from a week-long sick leave) but the company suddenly decided to stop hiring – better than to know that they finally found someone fit for that position and that I was not able to meet their qualifications.
Anyway, were selling similar items in that UP Bazaar and probably we’ll meet again in another bazaar at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
So see you there!

My wife’s relatives in Ayala, Alabang invited us for a Trick or Treat even this coming Halloween. We were so excited thinking that Tifa could finally attend a real Halloween Trick or Treat event. We were in China last year so, even if she was able to wear her pumpkin dress, there wasn’t a Halloween event that we could go to.

However, my wife let her see a YouTube video from last year’s Halloween party in Ayala, Alabang and guess what – she was so scared that she never even wanted to hear the words trick or treat. This is already so not unexpected since we all know that she’s afraid of any Jollibee or Mc Donald’s mascot so what more to those Halloween creatures. This is all because of Pride detergent’s mascot – the first ever mascot that Tifa saw in person.
Speaking of Halloween, the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish priests in Tagaytay have a very different approach for this trick or treat event. They want the kids to come in their Biblical/Religious costumes.

And according to a staff of Kubo ni Maria, the Capuchin Priests’ souvenir shop, a catechesis will follow after the event to correct the kid’s perception of the Halloween – that this is a Catholic event and not a time for scaring people, or something like that. According to the staff, “they want the kids to associate the ‘Woman in White’ to Virgin Mary instead of the ‘white lady’.”
What do you think?
Anyways, Hachiko the Ninja Dog is having a Halloween Masquerade Ball on his right-wing garden in Pet Society. He’s asking everyone to drop by and turn off the switch at the right end of the room for a better effect.

Update: 11/11/2009
A typhoon was devastating the land so the kids were not able to go trick-or-treating. They were only able to go as far as this:
