This photo is a bit of a put on I think. Could it be possible that the Amish people are that technologically illiterate that they don't understand what a Coke machine does? I don't think so. I think this is a fake. The title of this photo at another site was, "Farking Amish!"

I grew up in Pennsylvania - where the Amish reside for the most part - in large numbers around the Lancaster area if I remember correctly. We read about them in textbooks like everyone else. Eventually my mother took us to tour some Amish neighborhoods or something - and it was shocking. It was like they lived in the 1700's. No electricity, TV, radios, flashlights, etc. They used torches and old pens with dipping ink to write their schoolwork with.

What a silly group - what is the point? Anybody know the bottom line - why they live like that?

Lately I think they're snapping out of it and embracing at least some simple technology - like lightbulbs and electricity - but I'm sure there are small splinter groups that are adhering to the old ways.

Gay Test, Undeniably the Last Word on Homosexuality

My brother, with his usual good sense of humor sent me this gay test. Now, before you get your panties in a wad - I've nothing against gay people - to each their own. Really - I could care less. Hell, I'm practically gay by association I've had so many ladyboys kiss me during Songkran over these 3 years.

This post is meant to be humorous and make you spit up your soda through your nose. Don't write me hate mail.

Here's the post - if anyone knows where it came from I'll give the person credit. My brother did not know.

1. If you are over forty, and you have a washboard stomach, you are gay. It means you haven't sucked back enough beer with the boys and instead have spent the rest of your free time doing sit-ups, aerobics, and doing the Oprah diet. You under forty folks, don't waste time, you're in your prime drinking years! So do a few keg stands while you still can!

2. If you have a cat, you are a Flaaaaming homo. A cat is like a dog, but gay -- it grooms itself constantly but never scratches itself, has a delicate touch except when it uses its nails, and whines to be fed. And just think about how you call a dog... "Killer, come here! I said get your azz over here, Killer!" Now think about how you call a cat..."Bun-bun, come to daddy, snookums!" Jeeezus, you're fit to be framed, you're so gay.

3. If you suck on lollipops, Ring-Pops, baby pacifiers, or any such nonsense, rest assured, you are a Gaylord. A straight man only sucks on Bar-B-Que ribs, crab claws, raw oysters, crawfish guts, pickled pigs feet, or tits. Anything else and you are in training for and undeniably, a hershey highway cruiser.

4. If you refuse to take a dump in a public bathroom or piss in a parking lot, you crave a deep homosexual relationship. A man's world is his bathroom; he defecates and urinates wherever he pleases.

5. If you drink anything other than regular coffee. A straight man will never be heard ordering a "Decaf Soy Latte". If you've put a Decaf Soy Latte to your lips, you've had a man there, too.

6. If you know more than six names of non standard colors or four different types of dessert other than ice cream and pie, you might as well be handing out free ass passes. A real man doesn't have memory space in his brain to remember all of that crap. If you can pick out chartreuse or you know what a "fressier" is you're gay. And if you can name ANY type of textile other than cotton, canvas, or denim, you are faggadocious.

7. If you drive with both hands on the wheel, forget it, you're dying to tune a meat whistle. A man only puts both hands on the wheel to honk at a slow-ass driver or to cut the jerk off. The rest of the time he needs that hand to change the radio station, eat a hamburger, or hold his beer.

8 . If you do not send this off to all the males on your email list because you are afraid of hurting their feelings then you are definitely on the verge on being a meatpacker.

Ahh, being (or pretending) anti-homosexuality is such a comfortable role for some people - yes?

If for some reason you DON'T know who this kid is - you must go out, no, RUN out and find the independent film, GUMMO as soon as possible. While you're at it ask them if they have anything else from Harmony Korine - a director, writer that is to say the least - gifted.

Another favorite was "Julien Donkey Boy" something. And the cult favorite, "KIDS".

Supposedly he did another called "The Tour" in which an ex-taxi driver in Manhattan leads a tour group through New York City as the bus goes past points of interest. My brother told me it's amazing - but I've yet to find a copy. If you find one - would you care to send it? To Thailand...? I'm here. If you could put a dvd rip up somewhere I'll grab it and zap you some PP money.

Moving on - whoever did the movie "Corndog Man" deserves accolades. Director was: Andrew Shea

"Heathers" was an old favorite, though it's really lacking in substance now that I'm 40+. Christian Slater did a few weird movies and I enjoyed his stuff for a while. No longer.

Anything by Anthony Burgess who wrote "Clockwork Orange" and the guy who directed it - can't remember who he was for the life of me. Stanley Kubrick? I think maybe.

Ok, guess this post is about movies that rocked - not directors.

LOL.

"Unleashed" with Jet Li was very fun.

The first "Transporter" was great - for the music and tempo of the film. Jason Statham was novel and refreshing.

Hmm.

Ocean's Twelve and Ocean Thirteen were both pretty good.

John Malkovich flicks are always worth seeing. His early one of Victorian era, "Dangerous Liasons" is a classic - very good flick.

Jeremy Irons in his old movies were awesome. There was one where he had a twin that was very good.

The guy who did MEMENTO, Christopher Nolan also has another awesome film - Following. It's a simple film - but very good. Black and white. And yet another - Insomnia which I liked a lot.

Hmm... I'll list anymore if I can think of them.

Horrible Names to Be Born With...

Why in God's green hell did my father name me "Vernon" I'll never understand. It's a name that is sometimes a last name, and rarely a first name except diplomats and neighbors of psycho actors named Ernest P. Whirl.

I was upset until I saw this tombstone - Who in the hell in his right mind forces his family to live with the surname DUMFART they're entire lives... and then, a son would have had to carry that name on for each successive generation.

How much STUPID can be in one family line to do such a thing? Is that outrageous to think about?

What a string of idiots that must have been born into that family... I'm tempted to Google it and find someone with that current last name and harrass them into changing it.

Ronald McDonald, Homeless and on the Streets!

Police Intimidation?

I took this photo years ago - 1990 to be exact. There was an HIV/AIDS rally in New York and I was there shooting as many photos as I could with the intent on trying to sell something to the New York Daily news or one of the other daily newspapers I had connections with as a freelancer.

As far as I could tell - this policeman wasn't being aggressive or intimidating toward this guy - it's just the guy's look that made it SEEM like that. The guy had that face on the entire time I watched him. It was his default face.

So - a scene in a photo isn't always what you might guess it is...

Pattaya, Thailand's Annual Crocodile Egg Eating Contest

The Thais are not known for their PETA campaigns as anyone knows... this Crocodile Egg Eating Contest is a regular - yearly event that has a grand prize of $300 usd (10,000 Thai baht).

Players had to try to eat 10 crock eggs as fast as possible. Throw ups were not allowed. Many couldn't even eat 10 eggs which might not seem like a lot until you've eaten 8 and the last two just won't go down!

This years winner and runner up like last years was NOT a foreigner. The local Thai guys have won the last two years I've been watching it...

I'll take a stab at it, but I'm not going to be right - it's just my own point of view...

The three mutants holding the mutant and the girl are pornfilm enthusiasts. Amateurs, obviously. They are doing shockporn. They didn't tell this girl she was going to make it with a mutant and she's flipping out over it. To further humiliate her they're pouring what appears to be some VERY thick and very white milk on her face. Milkshake?

The mutant obviously wasn't told he'd be made to pork a girl with milkshake on her face and he's horrified as we all would be, damn straight. "These things happen..." and "It's normal" the guys have tried to explain to the mutant - but, he's hearing none of it.

The next step is just a little kiss for starters and it will really ramp up from there - the girl is obviously a little excited about the prospect...

Naked Korean Man Wandering Pattaya Streets!

This naked Korean guy was found wandering the streets of Pattaya, Thailand without clothes - just wearing a gold necklace - that's IT. He probably didn't speak Thai and when questioned about why he was naked - he couldn't explain. The Korean embassy said they too - couldn't explain.

The man had marks on him like he was beat up. Probably he was drugged with roofies and thought he had died when he woke up. He was going outside to meet jesus and mother mary and all the rest of them.

Someone sent this to me - an Indian woman breastfeeding what she calls her "son". It's a monkey! She always wanted a son - and now she says, she has a son!
