Es una agrupación multidisciplinar que tiene por objeto la difusión, la investigación, el debate teórico, la producción y la capacitación sobre el lenguaje de la <b>videopoesia</b>. <b>VideoBardo</b> posee el archivo más importante a nivel internacional en este género, en donde se reúnen cientos de piezas de video provenientes de todo el mundo; Decía Virginia Wolf que cuando se escribía con pluma y tintero el acto de mojar la pluma y luego escribir implicaba un ritmo, una pausa que se reflejaba en el texto escrito en sí mismo. La imprenta generalizó la escritura y multiplicó la cantidad de lectores. La computadora permite hoy corrección, cortar y pegar, que evitan la anterior reescritura. La escritura en nuestra cultura se realiza &nbsp;por medio de letras, pero otras civilizaciones han usado ideogramas y/o pictogramas haciendo uso de la imagen. Nuestra cultura comienza a transformarse radicalmente a partir de la aparición de la imagen en movimiento ( cine ) por su gran atractivo dada su “mayor similitud” con la realidad. Y aún más a partir de un nueva innovación tecnológica – la televisión- este fenómeno se masifica y no solo actúa como una nueva imprenta que difunde comunicación sino que se instala en el centro del hogar como una especie de integrante más de la familia. Antes las casas se organizaban en torno al indispensable fuego del hogar, al punto que se vuelve sinónimo de casa, o en torno a la indispensable agua del aljibe, hoy el centro de la casa en torno al cual gira la actividad de sus integrantes, es la pantalla ( de televisión y de computadora ).</div><br /> <div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"></div><a name='more'></a><br /> <div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">Giovanni Sartori opina que vivimos en una sociedad teledirigida por pantallas ( y yo agregaría “ y por cámaras “).Los medios audiovisuales tienen un gran poder de legitimación no poco peligroso - es verad, lo vi en tv - solemos decir, cuando bien sabido es que existe el encuadre que deja cosas afuera y la edición y los efectos especiales y de programas de computadoras que deja aún muchas más. Pantallas y cámaras pueblan cada vez más todo nuestra vida: en el celular, en la casa, en el auto, en la calle, en los medios de transporte, en los estadios, en el ascensor, hasta en los satélites pantallas y cámaras pueblan cada vez más nuestros ámbitos, observamos y somos observados. El lenguaje de nuestra cultura es cada vez más audiovisual. Si hay un nuevo lenguaje el poeta debe intervenir en su formación, de manera que éste no sea solo una herramienta de control de las conciencias sino que pueda servir también para su enriquecimiento. Por ello el videopoeta trabaja en este sentido. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><br /> </div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">Con la aparición de los medios audiovisuales muchos artistas y poetas adivinaron tempranamente sus posibilidades expresivas. Los dadaístas por un lado, los artistas Nam Jum Paik, Marcel Duchamp y Man Ray por el otro experimentaron con la palabra y el medio audiovisual. La videopoesía tiene así dos vertientes principales: 1- La Poesía experimental o polipoesía y 2- El Video/cinearte. La poseía experimental le viene a aportar los elementos de la poesía visual, la poseía sonora, la cyberpoesía. El Videoarte le aporta utilizando lo audiovisual como medio plástico. También la perfomance y la videoinstalación son expresiones que vienen a dejar su impronta en el género cuando son tratadas videopoéticamente.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">En casos más aislados vemos videoclips, videos documentales y&nbsp; video/cine ficción con tratamiento videopoético. Solo a manera de ejemplos: algún fragmento de la película Submarino Amarillo puede verse como un videopoema. En 1996 se funda VideoBardo archivo de videopoesía que organiza muestras y a partir del 2004 organiza el Festival Internacional de Videopoesía que itinera por varias ciudades del mundo. Pero diría que es un video/película que realiza un tratamiento especial sobre la palabra, el lenguaje, la escritura, el discurso, la letra, el signo, el símbolo. Hay muchos estilos de videopoemas desde los que se basan en el uso de actores, performers y lectores, hasta los que son totalmente generados por computadora. Básicamente se trabaja con imagen y sonido pero dada la fuerza que posee la palabra ésta se transforma en un tercer elemento trabajada en imagen y/o sonido.
