E sempre que vejo Fafá de Belém no júri lembro-me de uma história. Nas pesquisas para a composição do Samba-Enredo da Imperatriz Leopoldinense de 2013, em homenagem ao Pará, fiquei intrigado com a bandeira desse estado, vermelha, com uma listra branca diagonal e uma estrela azul solitária no meio. Descobri que essa estrela é aquela também solitária acima do lema “Ordem e Progresso” da bandeira do Brasil. Ela representa o Pará, estado brasileiro com a capital (Belém) mais ao norte na época da Proclamação da República. Isso dá samba, pensei. Levei essa informação aos parceiros e disse que tínhamos que usar isso no refrão. E assim foi feito. “No Norte a estrela que vai me guiar/Exemplo pro mundo: Pará/O talismã do meu país/A sorte da Imperatriz”. Entramos na disputa e nos sagramos campeões. Durante os ensaios, o Carnavalesco Cahê Rodrigues me revelou que esse refrão o inspirou a criar uma surpresa para o desfile. Ele guardou segredo até o Carnaval. A Imperatriz fez um dos desfiles mais bonitos de sua história. E eis que a tal surpresa era nossa querida Fafá de Belém, que veio na Comissão de Frente representando a Estrela do Norte, uma das imagens mais lindas daquele desfile. Quando vi as fotos, imediatamente a imagem me remeteu ao quadro “A Liberdade guiando o povo”, de Eugène Delacroix. Na época, sem os recursos de hoje, fiz essa montagem aí com as duas imagens lado a lado. E, para minha surpresa, a imagem chegou até Fafá de Belém, que comentou sobre ela em uma entrevista à jornalista Marília Gabriela. Nada contra. Minha vida é que se tornou mais rica em atividades, ao mesmo tempo em que meus interesses se multiplicaram. Mas essa mudança não impediu que eu começasse a assistir à novela “Bom Sucesso”, exibida atualmente na TV Globo. O personagem Alberto (Antonio Fagundes) é dono de uma Editora e, como eu, apaixonado por livros. De tão íntimo do personagem Alberto, passei a acompanhar o Podcast “Clube do Livro”, apresentado por Antonio Fagundes. Um bálsamo de cultura todas as quintas. Esses já seriam motivos de sobra para eu acompanhar a novela, mas há outros. A quantidade de coincidências (e afinidades) que me ligam à trama é tão surpreendente que chego a fantasiar que os autores já me conheciam rs. Vamos às principais: Eu nasci em Bonsucesso, bairro que dá nome ao folhetim, e que serve de cenário para a maioria das cenas. A personagem Paloma, moradora do bairro, é integrante de uma escola de samba fictícia. Os componentes nas cenas são meus amigos da Imperatriz Leopoldinense, escola de cuja ala de compositores faço parte. Nos primeiros capítulos, havia uma polêmica envolvendo a publicação de uma biografia. Eu escrevi uma biografia não autorizada. Na novela, a autora da biografia é Silvana Nolasco (Ingrid Guimarães). E o colega que escreveu o livro comigo se chama Marcio Nolasco. Parte da trama se passa na Editora de Alberto. Eu também sou editor, pois já editei livros por uma fundação pública federal. A pessoa na linha me informava que o projeto da biografia do Caetano Veloso não seguiria por falta de autorização. No dia seguinte, sete anos de trabalho jaziam trancados numa gaveta. Na época não havia debates sobre biografias autorizadas ou não autorizadas. De concreto, existiam os Artigos 20 e 21 do Código Civil, que obrigavam a existência de uma autorização formal do biografado (ou seus herdeiros) para a public</span><span class="text_exposed_show" style="background-color: white; color: #1c1e21; display: inline; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">ação do livro. Portanto, não havia qualquer perspectiva de publicação. Vivi naquele momento o maior pesadelo de um escritor. Depois disso, passei meses pensando em outro livro para escrever, obviamente sem necessidade de autorização. Certo dia, eu olhava distraído para o horizonte, quando a palavra “Dreamaker” surgiu à revelia em minha mente. Estava ali um tema em potencial. Comecei, então, a escrever meu novo livro: “Dreamaker – O Realizador de Sonhos”. Escrevia, reescrevia, cortava trechos, inseria parágrafos, eliminava histórias. E assim lapidei frases, burilei palavras, desenhei as ilustrações, concebi a capa (totalmente amadora, reconheço), trabalhei meses, anos, escrevendo e reescrevendo o livro. Eu não tinha pretensão de torná-lo um Best Seller. Simplesmente usava a escrita como válvula de escape. Eu exorcizava cada um dos meus sentimentos de frustração cada vez que eu revisava o livro. A temática também me inspirava. E o mais incrível. Meu personagem principal, o misterioso Melquisedeck, parecia conversar comigo o tempo inteiro. “Não abandone seus sonhos”, dizia ele a cada capítulo que eu terminava. De fato, relendo o livro hoje, distanciado pelo tempo e com o livro “CAETANO – uma biografia” já lançado e sucesso de vendas, me arrisco a dizer que tive uma espécie de epifania naquela tarde. Mas a história não termina aí. Ainda no período em que eu reescrevia e revisava o texto, me deparei acidentalmente com um personagem homônimo no livro “O Alquimista”, de Paulo Coelho. Eu já tinha lido essa obra, mas sequer me recordava desse personagem. O mais misterioso de tudo isso é que também no livro dele o personagem assume o papal de alguém que chega para ajudar, alguém que aparece, em momento inesperado, para ajudar alguém merecedor a realizar um sonho justo e legítimo.
