Lafayette Indiana 2012 Hoosier Job Fair

Are you looking for a job? The 2012 Hoosier Job Fair may be the place to find employment. According to a recent article in our local newspaper, Journal & Courier, there will be at least 80 employers attending and offering 3,000 or more jobs.

The job fair will be May 30 at the fairgrounds on Teal Road 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Register Now – Greater Lafayette Lemonade Day

This is an event sure to make for a cheery day in Tippecanoe County. Lemonade Day is May 19, 2012, 11 am – 3 pm. Local children from kindergarten – high school will be setting up stands to learn about running a business. This has been a fun time in the past. (My husband and I drank way too much lemonade one year because we stopped at every stand that we saw.) Registration is open through May 18th. Mail Carrier Food Drive Saturday May 12th Stamp Out Hunger

This Saturday is the 20th year for Stamp Out Hunger, a national food drive. Just put your nonperishable food items in bags and/or boxes and sit them near your mailbox for pickup by your mail carrier. When we all give it will make a difference. Lets load those mail trucks down with food this weekend!

Our local Lafayette Indiana donations will go to Food Finders Food Bank. I have copied the list of most needed items from their web site. This list may help to give us ideas when looking through our pantries.
