The Pharisee took up his position and spoke this prayer to himself, ‘O God, I thank you that I am not like the rest of humanity — greedy, dishonest, adulterous — or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week, and I pay tithes on my whole income.’ But the tax collector stood off at a distance and would not even raise his eyes to heaven but beat his breast and prayed, ‘O God, be merciful to me a sinner.’ I tell you, the latter went home justified, not the former; for whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Blessed is that servant whom his master on arrival finds doing so. Truly, I say to you, he will put him in charge of all his property. But if that servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, to eat and drink and get drunk, then that servant’s master will come on an unexpected day and at an unknown hour and will punish the servant severely and assign him a place with the unfaithful. That servant who knew his master’s will but did not make preparations nor act in accord with his will shall be beaten severely; and the servant who was ignorant of his master’s will but acted in a way deserving of a severe beating shall be beaten only lightly. Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more.”

Jesus told his disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary. He said, “There was a judge in a certain town who neither feared God nor respected any human being. And a widow in that town used to come to him and say, ‘Render a just decision for me against my adversary.’ For a long time the judge was unwilling, but eventually he thought, ‘While it is true that I neither fear God nor respect any human being, because this widow keeps bothering me I shall deliver a just decision for her lest she finally come and strike me.'” The Lord said, “Pay attention to what the dishonest judge says. Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them? I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

今日剛是9月25日，現在是默主哥耶當地的下午，本月的默主哥耶訊息未出。

現在有兩件關於默主哥耶的特別而重要的事情向大家宣佈:

1. 上星期四，即9月19日於梵蒂岡舉行的新聞發布會，教宗方濟各批准教廷教義部關於默主哥耶聖母朝聖地的指示文件。該文件沒有對默主哥耶聖母朝聖地超自然現象作出判定，但承認其豐富的靈性果實，同時作出了一些澄清。
教庭跟據新指引，批准了對默主哥耶和平之后的敬禮。 認為默主哥耶， Nil Obstat 無阻礙。

2. 今年9月12日 （聖母聖名日），聖母透過默主哥耶當地「默主哥耶和平資訊中心」負責的神父 Fr. Danko委任 Pat Young 一個新使命，派遣她成為 「默主哥耶和平資訊中心中文地區主任」，並在包括有粤，國，英三語的加拿大朝聖團見證下，正式簽署。為全球華人傳遞聖母訊息及默主哥耶的靈修，提供默主哥耶的官方資訊，為世界各地華人服務，做聖母伸展的雙手。請為這新成立的「默主哥耶和平資訊中心中文部」祈禱，並為Pat祈禱。如果那一位願意在各方面幫手的話，請直接聯絡Pat或Email。

那時候，耶穌從葛法翁前行，看見一個人在稅關那裏坐著，名叫瑪竇，對他說：「跟隨我！」他就起來跟隨了耶穌。當耶穌在屋裏坐席時，有許多稅吏和罪人也來同耶穌和他的門徒一起坐席。法利塞人看見，就對他的門徒說：「你們的老師為什麼同稅吏和罪人一起進食呢？」耶穌聽見了，就說：「不是健康的人需要醫生，而是有病的人。你們去研究一下：『我喜歡仁愛勝過祭獻』是什麼意思；我不是來召義人，而是來召罪人。」

While he was at table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat with Jesus and his disciples. The Pharisees saw this and said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” He heard this and said, “Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. Go and learn the meaning of the words, I desire mercy, not sacrifice. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners.”

那時候，耶穌上船過海，來到了自己的城。看，有人給他送來一個躺在床上的癱子，耶穌一見他們的信心，就對癱子說：「孩子，你放心！你的罪赦了。」經師中有幾個人心裏說：「這人說了褻瀆的話。」耶穌看透他們的心意，說：「你們為什麼心裏思念惡事呢？什麼比較容易呢？是說：你的罪赦了，或是說：起來行走吧？為叫你們知道，人子在地上有赦罪的權柄——就對癱子說：起來！拿起你的床，回家去吧！」那人就起來，回家去了。群眾見了，就都害怕起來，遂歸光榮於天主，因他賜給了人們這樣大的權柄。

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew 9:1-8

After entering a boat, Jesus made the crossing, and came into his own town. And there people brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Courage, child, your sins are forgiven.” At that, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming.” Jesus knew what they were thinking, and said, “Why do you harbor evil thoughts? Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”–he then said to the paralytic, “Rise, pick up your stretcher, and go home.” He rose and went home. When the crowds saw this they were struck with awe and glorified God who had given such authority to men.

十二人中的一個，號稱狄狄摩的多默，當耶穌來時，卻沒有和他們在一起。別的門徒向他說：「我們看見了主。」但他對他們說：「我除非看見他手上的釘孔，用我的指頭，探入釘孔；用我的手，探入他的肋旁，我決不信。」八天以後，耶穌的門徒又在屋裏，多默也和他們在一起。門戶關著，耶穌來了，站在中間說：「願你們平安！」然後對多默說：「把你的指頭伸到這裏來，看看我的手吧！並伸過你的手來，探入我的肋旁，不要作無信的人，但要作個有信德的人。」多默回答說：「我主！我天主！」耶穌對他說：「因為你看見了我，才相信嗎？那些沒有看見而相信的，才是有福的！」

So the other disciples said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” But Thomas said to them, “Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and put my finger into the nailmarks and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” Now a week later his disciples were again inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, although the doors were locked, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side, and do not be unbelieving, but believe.” Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”

恭讀聖馬爾谷福音　5:21-43

那時候，耶穌乘船，回到對岸；有大夥群眾，聚集在他周圍。耶穌於是留在海濱。當時，來了一個會堂長，名叫雅依洛，一見耶穌，就跪伏在耶穌腳前，懇求耶穌說：「我的小女兒快要死了。請你來，給她覆手，叫她康復，使她活下去。」耶穌就同會堂長一起去。有一大群人，跟隨著耶穌，擁擠著耶穌。
當時，有一個婦人，患血漏已有十二年。她在許多醫生手裡，受了許多痛苦，花盡了她所有的一切，不但沒有見效，反而病勢日益加重。她聽了有關耶穌的傳說，便來到人群中，從後邊摸了耶穌的衣裳，因為她心裡想：「只要我一摸他的衣裳，我的病就會好了。」結果，她的血漏，立刻停止了，並且覺得身上的疾病也好了。
耶穌立刻覺得，有一種能力，從自己身上出去；於是，在人群中，回過頭來，說：「誰摸了我的衣裳？」
耶穌的門徒向耶穌說：「你看！群眾四面擁擠著你，你還問：誰摸了我？」
耶穌四周觀望，要看做這事的婦人。那婦人明知在自己身上所發生的事，就戰戰兢兢地前來，跪伏在耶穌腳前，把實情完全告訴了耶穌。
耶穌便向那婦人說：「女兒，你的信德救了你。平安回去吧！你的疾病必得痊瘉！」
耶穌還在說話的時候，有人從會堂長家裡來，說：「你的女兒死了，你還勞煩師父做什麼？」
耶穌聽見所說的話，就給會堂長說：「不要怕，只管信。」
除了伯多祿、雅各伯，和雅各伯的弟弟若望外，耶穌沒有帶任何人跟他去。他們到了會堂長的家裡，耶穌看見群眾非常喧嘩：有的哭泣，有的哀號；耶穌便進去，給他們說：「你們為什麼喧嘩哭泣呢？小女孩並沒有死，只是睡著了！」他們都譏笑耶穌。耶穌卻把眾人趕出去，帶著小女孩的父親和母親，以及同他在一起的人，進去小女孩所在的地方。
耶穌拿起小女孩的手，對她說：「塔里塔，古木！」意思是：「女孩，我命令你起來！」那女孩就立刻起來行走，原來她已十二歲了。
眾人都驚訝得目瞪口呆。耶穌卻嚴厲命令他們，不要叫任何人知道這事；又吩咐給女孩子食物吃。

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark 5:21-43

When Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around him, and he stayed close to the sea. One of the synagogue officials, named Jairus, came forward. Seeing him he fell at his feet and pleaded earnestly with him, saying, “My daughter is at the point of death. Please, come lay your hands on her that she may get well and live.” He went off with him, and a large crowd followed him and pressed upon him.
There was a woman afflicted with hemorrhages for twelve years. She had suffered greatly at the hands of many doctors and had spent all that she had. Yet she was not helped but only grew worse. She had heard about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak. She said, “If I but touch his clothes, I shall be cured.” Immediately her flow of blood dried up. She felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction. Jesus, aware at once that power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who has touched my clothes?” But his disciples said to Jesus, “You see how the crowd is pressing upon you, and yet you ask, ‘Who touched me?'” And he looked around to see who had done it. The woman, realizing what had happened to her, approached in fear and trembling. She fell down before Jesus and told him the whole truth. He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be cured of your affliction.”
While he was still speaking, people from the synagogue official’s house arrived and said, “Your daughter has died; why trouble the teacher any longer?” Disregarding the message that was reported, Jesus said to the synagogue official, “Do not be afraid; just have faith.” He did not allow anyone to accompany him inside except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James. When they arrived at the house of the synagogue official, he caught sight of a commotion, people weeping and wailing loudly. So he went in and said to them, “Why this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but asleep.” And they ridiculed him. Then he put them all out. He took along the child’s father and mother and those who were with him and entered the room where the child was. He took the child by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise!” The girl, a child of twelve, arose immediately and walked around. At that they were utterly astounded. He gave strict orders that no one should know this and said that she should be given something to eat.

依撒伯爾滿了產期，就生了一個兒子。她的鄰居和親戚，聽說上主向她大施仁慈，都和她一同歡樂。到了第八天，人們來為這孩子行割損禮，並願意照他父親的名字，叫他匝加利亞。
他的母親說：「不，要叫他若翰。」
他們就向他母親說：「在你親族中，沒有人叫這名字的。」他們便給孩子的父親打手勢，看他父親願意叫他什麼名字。
他父親要了一塊小板，寫上：「若翰是他的名字。」眾人都驚訝起來。匝加利亞的口和舌頭，立刻開了，就開口讚美天主。
於是，所有鄰居，都滿懷害怕之情；這一切事，就傳遍了全猶大山區；凡聽見的人，都將這事存於心中，說：「這孩子將成為什麼人物啊？」因為上主的手與他同在。

When they came on the eighth day to circumcise the child, they were going to call him Zechariah after his father, but his mother said in reply, “No. He will be called John.” But they answered her, “There is no one among your relatives who has this name.” So they made signs, asking his father what he wished him to be called. He asked for a tablet and wrote, “John is his name,” and all were amazed. Immediately his mouth was opened, his tongue freed, and he spoke blessing God. Then fear came upon all their neighbors, and all these matters were discussed throughout the hill country of Judea. All who heard these things took them to heart, saying, “What, then, will this child be?” For surely the hand of the Lord was with him. The child grew and became strong in spirit, and he was in the desert until the day of his manifestation to Israel.

那時候，耶穌對他的門徒說：「沒有人能事奉兩個主人：他或是要恨這一個而愛那一個，或是重視這一個而輕視那一個。你們不能事奉天主而又事奉錢財。為此，我告訴你們：不要為你們的生命憂慮吃什麼？或喝什麼；也不要為你們的身體憂慮穿什麼。難道生命不是貴於食物，身體不是貴於衣服嗎？你們仰觀天空的飛鳥，牠們不播種，也不收穫，也不在糧倉裏屯積，你們的天父還是養活牠們；你們不比牠們更貴重嗎？你們中誰能運用思慮，使自己的壽數增加一肘呢？關於衣服，你們又憂慮什麼？你們觀察一下田間的百合花怎樣生長：它們既不勞作，也不紡織；可是我告訴你們：連撒羅滿在他極盛的榮華時代所披戴的，也不如這些花中的一朵。田地裏的野草今天還在，明天就投在爐中，天主尚且這樣裝飾，信德薄弱的人哪，何況你們呢？所以，你們不要憂慮說：我們吃什麼，喝什麼，穿什麼？因為這一切都是外邦人所尋求的；你們的天父原曉得你們需要這一切。你們先該尋求天主的國和它的義德，這一切自會加給你們。所以你們不要為明天憂慮，因為明天有明天的憂慮：一天的苦足夠一天受的了。」

Jesus said to his disciples: “No one can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span? Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? So do not worry and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear?’ All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the Holy Spirit. Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly. Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the Holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,
which means “God is with us.”

At sunset, all who had people sick with various diseases brought them to him. He laid his hands on each of them and cured them. And demons also came out from many, shouting, “You are the Son of God.” But he rebuked them and did not allow them to speak because they knew that he was the Christ.
At daybreak, Jesus left and went to a deserted place. The crowds went looking for him, and when they came to him, they tried to prevent him from leaving them. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one about whom Moses wrote in the law, and also the prophets, Jesus son of Joseph, from Nazareth.” But Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, “Here is a true child of Israel. There is no duplicity in him.” Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree.” Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Do you believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this.” And he said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, “Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you.” But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” But Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?” And the angel said to her in reply, “The holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God.” Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.

If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.” He asked him, “Which ones?” And Jesus replied, “You shall not kill; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness; honor your father and your mother; and you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” The young man said to him, “All of these I have observed. What do I still lack?” Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” When the young man heard this statement, he went away sad, for he had many possessions.

A Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew 15:21-28

At that time, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a Canaanite woman of that district came and called out, “Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is tormented by a demon.” But Jesus did not say a word in answer to her. Jesus’ disciples came and asked him, “Send her away, for she keeps calling out after us.” He said in reply, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” But the woman came and did Jesus homage, saying, “Lord, help me.” He said in reply, “It is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.” She said, “Please, Lord, for even the dogs eat the scraps that fall from the table of their masters.” Then Jesus said to her in reply, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.” And the woman’s daughter was healed from that hour.
