Test Your Websites Over 49 Web-Browsers

For those of you that are webmasters this might be really useful. You probably know what a hassle it is to check your website in different browsers because you have to download and install so many. Even if you keep them installed, it might be annoying to have all of those programs that do the same thing sitting on your computer ne time. Well those days are now over thanks to Browershots. Browsershots is a website where you can enter your site’s url and it will take screen captures of your site in all of the major plus many smaller browsers. You can then view the images and see which ones your site doesn’t look right in. There is a huge list of browsers you can test on including linux and mac browsers as well. For those of you who are confused at this point as to why you would need to test in different browsers, it is because every site renders differently in different browsers (so it could look messed up in one and fine in another). So next time instead of downloading all of those programs just use Browsershots.org.
Don’t expect to get results right away, once you set Browsershots in motion it actually takes screen shots of your site from each browser which can take a while.

How to setup Comment form under a post

Blogspot readers have to click on the new page or pop up window to comment on our post. Which sometimes make visitors not to comment even if they want too.

To setup "Comment form under your post" follow the steps:

Log into your
Dashboard through http://draft.blogger.com/ (100% Safe i did it too u can check mine)

Settings --> Comments

and scroll down to "Comment form placement"

and click "Embedded below post"

and save your settings.

Now Try to see your blog click on any of your title post if there is a commnet box below your post then that's it.

But if there is no comments box, just follow the next step:

Adsense Publisher ID Banned,Get New Publisher ID

Hi friends !! When The first day I applied for Adsense and I got Adsense on my Blog.That I was really excited about Adsense Revenue Earning and then I clicked on one of my Ad.

I was never reminded about the conditions of Adsense that" the Publisher will not click on the Ads and also do not motivate the clicks on the Ads."

Due to Fraud click my Account was Disabled and I have to choose a new Account for Adsense.

On that day I Make a strong Decision that I want to share with you.

-->Go to Settings.

-->Then go to the Permissions.

-->Click on Invite Authors.

-->Enter Your Email Id with you want to Enable the Adsense Account and Invite it.

-->Then Go to EMail ID and Approve it.

-->After it Go to Permssions through Previous ID and Give "Admin" Permissions to the New Author.

-->Now Go to Permissions through New Account and Remove the Existing User.

That's All !! Now you can Apply For Adsense with a New Publisher ID.

Add Recent Comments to your Blogger Blog

Blogger is a free service that allows others to publish a blog. There's a hard way to do this too, by typing in html codes, but I will show you an easy way to show your five most recent comments in your Blogger blog.

1. Log into your Blogger account. Make sure you are on your Dashboard area. Under the Manage blogs, click on Layout.

2.Pick out where you want to show off your recent comments, and click on the 'Add a Gadget'.

3.Scroll down a little and choose the Feed option by clicking on the blue plus (+) sign.

4.In the feed URL field, type in http://www.YOURBLOGURL.com/feeds/comments/full

5.Change the 'YOURBLOGURL' to your blog URL and hit continue.You can title it 'Recent Comments' or whatever you like, choose how many comments (1-5) and ifyou want to show dates and authors.

6.Click Save when you are done.Save it and view your blog.

You should see the latest comments now! Cool!!

And you have the full control to enable or disable it.

This feature imports the photo from your profile, so if you already uploaded an image to your profile, it’ll be displayed automatically when you post a comment on a blogger blog,

But if you don’t have a profile photo, you may do it in two ways,

-->Go to blogger dashboard >> and on the left sidebar you’ll see Edit Profile link, click it, and then scroll down till you see Photograph, and throw this form you can add your photo for your profile, after uploading your photo, scroll to the bottom and click Save Porfile.

-->The second way to do it is to go to comment on any blogspot post, and type your comment, then don’t press Post Comment, Press Preview
and click Add Profile Picture. and upload your picture,

Before starting please backup your template so that if anything goes wrong you can revert back to your previous template.

1.Get the Adsense code and make it template friendly from here.

2.Sign in to your blogger account and goto layout>Edit html
click on Expand widgets.

3.Find the below code in your template by pressing Ctrl+f and then pasting the code

You will get any button of above image from this site. So here is the process to add share this or Bookmark button on your post:

Step 1: First of all you need to register here. To register go to http://www.addthis.com/register

Step 2: After registration process, select the link Get the Button just like below image:

Step 3: Then you will get some options to create a button. From there choose your preferable option. Click on Get Your Button Code.

In almost all Blogger Templates, you can find the Newer Post - Home - Older Post Links below the blog posts. If you want to remove or hide these links, just do the following simple steps:

Go to Blogger Layout page and click Edit HTML link
Then Search(Ctrl+F) your template to find the following codes:

Remove Navigation Bar from your Blog

Please Note: Before Editing your Template, Save a copy of your current template by clicking 'Download Full Template' in 'Edit HTML' page of the Blogger 'Layout' Window and 'Preview' the changes before Saving.

Navigation Bar appears at the top of Every Blogger Blogs. It helps the Visitors to Search any Blog in Blogger Directory or to Flag any Objectionable Content in the Blog. Some Bloggers really don't like this Navigation Bar as it causes some 'discomfort' to their nice template! It's very easy to remove or hide the navigation bar of blogger(blogspot) blogs.

Just do the following steps:

Go to Edit HTML page in the Blogger Layout Window

Find the following Code:

To Remove the Navigation Bar, Replace the above code as:

On its 10th Birthday ,Blogger launched a new Gadget of Label to its Bloggers.I liked it and I think that this is much better than the old version.Now I am sharing this with you..

Animated Banner for your Blog

This article is about creating a nice looking banner that incorporates rotating headlines of your 5 recent Blog articles. If you have submitted your Blog to different Blog Directories, you would come across some which ask for your banner. It is nothing more than a picture to represent your Blog.

Nonetheless, a nicely designed banner can attract more visitors and add a touch of professionalism to your Blog. I am not a graphic designer and I believe you can produce much nicer pictures. There are also GIF animator softwares on the net which will help you create a moving image, blinking text, and so on. What I intend to do here is to share with you alternative ideas on how you can create your own unique animated banner.

This is done through a popular feed aggregator service called Feedburner. If you do not have an account with them, go to their main page, type in your Blog URL and follow their instructions to create a free account. Even if you have subscribed to other feed services like Feedblitz, there is no harm having more service providers publicize your Blog for free.

Once you have successfully created an account, you can browse through their services and tools to pick the ones that you like. Here, we shall talk only about their Headline animator. Go to “Publicize” tab and “Headline Animator” to create a new animated banner.

The instructions given by Feedburner are pretty simple to follow. The first thing you need to do is to pick a “theme” which can be their standard black and white backgrounds, or their dynamic and seasonal images. If you merely want to test the outcome, pick any of the schemes. The normal banner size is 468px x 60px and you may want to use this for a start. After that, choose the colors, font size, and position the title, date and headline. Click “Activate” when you are done. They will generate a HTML code for you to copy and paste into your template.

While this may give you a banner that contains the headlines of your posts, it does not give you a unique identity. If you have the time, you should try to create your own banner image. For instance, if you have a nice picture that you like, crop it or resize it to 468px x 60px using a photo editing software. If you don't have one, you may try Google's Picasa or search the net for other free softwares. If possible, leave a clear background somewhere for the date and headline. Save the image in the .gif (not .jpg) format. A background image can look like these.

The image will have to be uploaded onto an image host. There are a number of free hosts available on the net. You can read about using free hosts like Google Page Creator and Google Groups. Check out those sites and choose one that is fast, reliable and enables hotlinking to the uploaded files. After uploading the image file, take note of the image URL.

Go back to Feedburner's “Publicize” tab. This time, under the “Theme” select “Provide your own background”. You will be prompted to enter the “Image URL”. Again, you can adjust the positions of the title, date and headline by dragging them to the desired positions. Click “Activate” once you are satisfied with the layout and obtain the generated HTML code.

Log in to your Dashboard, go to Template ->Page Elements -> Add a Page Element and choose “HTML/JavaScript”. Copy the generated HTML code, paste and save. If you want to use this banner for publicizing your Blog in blog directories or advertisements, your new animated banner URL is your Feedburner feed address with a .gif extension.

These two lines determine the text that would be shown for the previous page and next page respectively.

Label FiX

Now we have another problem.By default,the blogger label pages will show 20 posts.We will have to cut this down to the value that we gave for the variable pageCount (or the posts per page).For this we will have to edit our template

How to Edit the template to cut short the posts per page?

Go to the Edit HTML page and expand the Widget Templates

Now find each occurrence of

'data:label.url'

(including the quotes) and replace each of it with

'data:label.url + &quot;?&amp;max-results=5&quot;'

Here 5 is the number of posts to be displayed per page.

Now if you are using the label cloud widget by phydeaux3,then find

a.href = &#39;/search/label/&#39;+encodeURIComponent(t);

and replace it with

a.href = &#39;/search/label/&#39;+encodeURIComponent(t)+&#39;?&amp;max-results=5&#39;;

Here also 5 is the number of posts to be displayed per page.

Remove Label Count from Blog

Some people prefer not to display the label count in their blogs as it looks a bit unprofessional. Lets say if you have a label 'Funny sms' with 50 label count and another one ' Good morning sms' with 2 as label count... less people will show interest on clicking the second one.

So, lets see how to hide or remove the Label count in your blogger blog(s)...

1. Sign into Blogger dashboard » Layout » Edit html

Hi Friends!! I have Started this Blog to help new Blogger.

This is my first Article and it is about Blog Post. It required quite some template hacking and javascript too.

In this tutorial you will learn how to tweak your blog without any javascript to get a similar effect. On our homepage, all posts will show a short summary, followed by a "Read More" link. Clicking the "Read More"-link will bring up the post page with the full post text.

Step 1: Back up your template
Open the Layout|Edit HTML-tab on your Dashboard, and download the template as an XML-file to your harddisk. If anything goes wrong, upload it again and there will be no problem at all.

Step 2: Modify the template code
Scroll down and look for the following piece of code:

This is the piece of template code that displays the post-body on the screen. We have to add a few lines of code here:

Now save your template.

Step 3: Modify your post template
In your Blog Settings you can modify the post template. Change it to:

<div class="restofpost">Type rest of post here</div>

And save your settings.
This will take care of all new posts. Type the summary text in between the summary-div-tags. Type the rest of the post between the other div-tags, and publish!

Step 4: Modify old posts
If you want older posts to have summaries as well, change every post and add a summary-div and restofpost-div.

And furthermore...
The summary-div is not really necessary, as the code only hides the restofpost-div if we are on the homepage. If you want some other styling for the summary, add CSS-tags to the skin-part of your blog.
