The Bible absolutely supports financial planning, including leaving an emergency fund or inheritance to your dependents. To prove this perspective would be a short work, but I am going to talk more on this—which life insurance products are best for Christians?

Bible verses that support buying life insurance

Proverbs 6:6-7

Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!

It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,

yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

Proverbs 13:22

A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children,
but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.

1 Timothy 5:8

If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

And what is the best life insurance product for Christians?

Life Insurance for Chrisians

You may think I am being too narrow after hearing this, but I am going to tell you that term life insurance is the only product you should buy.

The common illusion that the insurance industry has created and maintained with tremendous effort is that—”life insurance is an investment product” (Fact: it’s primarily an expense, but as an investment it is bad). Rich people might sell life insurance, or own stocks of life insurance companies, but they will not use it for their retirement and saving plan.

You can never achieve financial independence by “investing” in a cash value life insurance (i.e. Universal life, Variable life, Universal Variable life, and other fancy products). The fee is too high for any real earning in the long run. The “growth” is most likely due to inflation. The “projected figure” that the insurance agent is going to show you will never come true. I had been an insurance agent before and I had never seen it came true. Rather, I had only seen people suffered because of the expensive life insurance products they bought.

Most people are overpaying for their life insurance, yet are underinsured. They will bear this burden for the rest of their life too, since the insurance industry has done a great job brainwashing people into believing that life insurance is for life.

The usual arguement is that “You will get nothing back with term insurance”, but the best type of life insurance is term life, because, whether we like it or not, life insurance is an expense, and we can only minimize the expense by sticking to the basic the we truly need, getting rid of it as soon as we don’t need it, and avoiding fancy features that are expensive.

They have many gimicks to get people to buy too, such as saying their products will no longer require you to pay premiums in 20 years (after 20 years they will say the projected interest earning was over stated and now you need to pay), and other numerous add-on that play number games with the money you put in, and claim to give you tax advantages.

The truth is they make sure the money you earn from whatever investment within the policy will never exceed a certain amount, so that the government won’t tax you for it. It is not wise to combine investment with life insurance in the first place, because the management fee for your investment is very high. Always! If your earning goes to management fee, then there would be no tax. No earning, no tax!

Also, all death proceeding from life insurance is tax-free, because you pay for your life insurance with after-tax money. The government isn’t going to tax you twice. This means that the proceed from term life insurance is also tax free, just like the cash value life insurance in general is tax free, should the insured person passes away.

With term life insurance, you will get a sufficient coverage on the life of the bread winner, which will give you an adequate financial compensation that will maintain the current living standard of the family for years, if the bread winner dies. The cost of term life insurance is much cheaper, and it only lasts as long as the working life of the breadwinner. Once the insured person is retired, there is no more financial need to cover his or her life. It is an expense afterall, and you don’t want an expense to last forever. What you need for retirement is money.

From this point on, should you need anymore explanation, we will have to get into the elaborate details. Click here for more detailed rebuttals against the typical sale pitches of life insurance agent. Remember, most of the time it is not too late to switch to a cheaper term life insurance, even if you have already bought a cash value life insurance of any form, but make sure you get the new policy approved first before you cancel the old ones. Your life insurance agent will most likely fearmonger you into staying with the current company, but those are usually lies. Customers usually saved money by taking the cash value out and surrender their old policies, after they get the new term life insurance in place.

If you trust me on this, you will simply forget the complexity, and just go online and shop for a term life insurance product in your area. You can buy up to 30 years of coverage or more, with a couple of good terms such as grace period, and waiver of premiums during unemployment, and that is it. You don’t even need a life insurance agent to help you, which makes it even cheaper when you bypass the middle person, who will add commission fee to your insurance cost.

Next, you are going to use the money you saved by buying the much cheaper term life insurance, instead of the typical products they want to sell you, to invest in your own business, or other investments that God led you to.

There are some people who are working on discrediting the existence of ADHD, claiminig it to be just a “label”. They said the mental health industry created it for profit.

I know the drug companies create chemical drugs for profits, and those drugs are not good for our bodies. I myself am a strong believer in natural solutions, and faith based healing.

Mental illnesses are, for the most parts, real. This is unfortunate, yet true. If our bodies can experience diseases, then what makes some people think that our brains can’t? Our moods, focus, and thoughts depend on a bunch of chemical processes and electrical wiring of the brain, so if the body is sick and the sickness influences the delicate structure of our brain, then naturally it causes mental disorder in one way or another.

Some mental illnesses are hidden. It is hard to see it from the surface, but it affects the sufferer each and every day. ADHD is such a subtle condition that can destroy the life of the sufferer if it is not properly diagnosed and treated.

For many years I had been suffering from ADHD, without being diagnosed. Many people who knew me would find me weird, yet they couldn’t pinpoint what it was that made me weird. I was off in so many ways, and yet from a distant I seemed like a normal person. I myself had mistaken a lot of the symptoms as personal weaknesses of my own making, such as lack of disciplines, poor choices, bad judgement, lack of willpower… For many years, they made me feel guilty, regretful, and inadequate.

This was prior to my recent discovery and diagnosis with ADHD.

Spiritually, I felt like I was not fit for ministry, since I couldn’t come up with effective solutions to my own struggles, so I thought “if I can’t do it myself, how can I teach other?”. Although I had been going to churches for many years, I still didn’t get the lasting solutions.

This becomes one of the reasons why I oppose human-drive churches (i.e. the majority of today’s churches) so rigorously; it is because they are misleading the people, pretending to have answers for our struggles in life, but really all they do are quoting scriptures here and there, throwing jargon here and there, and then insert their own opinions in between, to teach whatever they want to believe.

For years I had tried everything I had heard and read from the mainstream Christians leaders, but what they taught didn’t work.

Authorities figures in my life such as teachers and parents were putting me through guilt trip after guilt trip. I had heard the most destructive words from the people closest to me, not from strangers, for a very long time.

For years I had been seeking ways to improve, but I always failed. Each school semester I made a resolution to stay focused, but always faltered half-way through. I vowed to work diligently each day for the Lord, and not waste any time, but week and week, and day after day, I couldn’t stop wasting time. I often checked the clock, but still couldn’t live a perfect day with the level of focus and self-discipline I envisioned.

One minute I was trying to do something productive, and the next conscious moment I realized I had already been distracted by random thoughts and activities for hours. Even when I was fully aware of the moments of distraction, I still couldn’t control myself. It was very hard for me to not procrastinate—often times a few minutes of break became hours.

“Just don’t do it”, people said, or “play hard work hard”. But with this condition you don’t know when you are going to play, and when you are going to work. The focus could come suddenly, and drop easily.

Simply put, with this condition, your external environment has a very big influences over you, whereas normal people can exercise their inner strength to adapt and focus in most environments, the ADHD sufferers, for the most parts, could not help but get stimulated and distracted by the outside environment all the time.

This means that we will less likely to follow a step by step plan to achieve a certain goal over a longer period of time. We can be spontaneous and get a job well done if we can do it in one sitting, while our interest peak, but if we have to tackle a big project with many steps and components, we are much more likely to falter. We will procrastinate, or leave it incomplete, or both. If God wants us to build the ark, instead of Noah, then the human race would have long been extincted.

Secondary and Third Conditions

Unfortunately, ADHD usually comes with second, third, or more conditions, such as depression, anxiety, ODD, OCD, or other set of combos, along with a couple of learning disabilities that may or may not be presence. Each person is different, but most have a combo of conditions coexisting together.

This makes it really hard for the sufferers to cope. People tend to judge and say very mean words to the sufferers when they observe the symptoms, if don’t know it is a biological problem. Many people tend to jump into conclusions and call it a personality problem, and they defend their view stubbornly, without any proof and research. Most choose to be ignorant, instead of to help.

While the root causes of the conditions might be biological, it gradually becomes psychological as well, after the sufferers has been suffering the symptoms over a long period of times—frustration, low self-esteem, more anxiety, more depression, bitterness, anger, and other negative emotions can become persistent issues, if the sufferers have to deal with people who persecute them often, instead of having a support system of loving people who understand the issues and encourage them properly.

I myself had to go through a lot of persecutions. I have suffered so many means words, and agressive behavors from others for this. For example, I tend to speak my mind almost instantly, and my mind is always bombarded with millions of thoughts. Sometimes people might think I say something between the lines, and take it the wrong ways. Also, I can take a while to realize that somebody is talking to me, or might drift in and out of group conversations. The conditions have big impact on many aspects of my social life, and career. I often made mistakes that I don’t mean to make. People might think I am not motivated, and give me a lecture on why I should straighten up, or simply exclude me from any opportunity to promotions, or take away responsibilities.

The truth is, I am a prisoner within these symptoms. I can see what is going on, or to put it more accurately—what is going down, all the times, but I can’t help it. I have ambitions and desires, but I can’t apply myself properly to attain them. I have skills and knowledge, but my inner motivator won’t let me implement them.

My depression started when I was 20, and it became worst as the years passes. I have tried many spiritual discipline to get healing, but the symptoms such as depressive thoughts, suicidal urges, and stresses won’t go away. Rather, they started to affect my spirituality in negative ways. They produced false guilt, confusion, doubts, angers, and other negative thoughts and emotions in me. Then I feel guilty for having those feelings. It was a vicious cycle.

After Diagnose: Hope and Mourn

After I was diagnosed with ADHD, it explains so many of my struggles. Prior to the diagnosis, life is full mysteries and confusions. My life couldn’t go anywhere. It felt like I was stuck in a mud pit—I couldn’t get out no matter how hard I moved. I thought this was normal for everyone, since everyone complained about self-discipline, burn out, stress, focus problem, etc. Now I know that they actually have a much easier problem comparing with me. It is easy for people to exaggerate their problems and over credit their self-efforts for their successes.

I had always been trapped inside the conditions, that I didn’t know what normal feel like. It was a mental prison I had been living in for all my life.

The diagnosis gave me hope. It relieved me of some of the guilt and regret. At the same time, I mourned for so many things that I have lost. I was diagnosed so late. What if I knew it sooner? The would-have and could-have, my familiar tormentors, were once again present to inflict more pains on me.

And of course, Satan would turn it against God, accusing God for not caring enough for me, “Surely if he cared about me, he would have told me what I had been fighting against so futilely”.

If you want to know more about what the ADHD sufferers mourn for, see my story “What a Life of Suffering for ADHD Sufferers” , or go to this forum thread that has the sufferers to discuss what their feeling with this condition.

Generation of Conflicts

I wonder how many generational problems, such as addiction or abuse, were started with a medical issue such as ADHD. It could be a big blow to a family when a member suffer a condition like this, and if the family doesn’t handle it well, it could lead to abuses, and the abuses will most likely pass on to the next generation, thus creating more health issues, more conditions, more abuses, and eventually when there are enough things that go wrong, the end results might be imprisonment, heavy addictions, prostitutions, and etc.

I suspect that abuses can cause ADHD. In fact, brain scans show that abuses such as neglect impede brain growth in a child. Also, fears can alter the growing brain, and cause learning difficulty permanently.

Love Heals

At the end, only love can bring healing. “Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” (1 Corinthians 13:7) A loving parents will persist in finding out the root causes to the conditions, and prayerfully in finding cures. They won’t blame it on the child. They will see through the shell of symptoms and look at the true personality within that shell, who is struggling to do well.

Based on my researches, I found out that most ADHD cases were probably caused by vaccination, heavy metal poisoning, gluten allergy, vitamin deficiencies, glut flora imbalance, fungus overgrowth (Candidias), inflammation, or any combo of these ingredients. My theory is that abuses and neglect also can cause ADHD, as study shows that kids in foster care system often have ADHD like behavior. Given the fact that stressful or neglective environment can alter a child’s brain, I put the two and two together and conclude that abuses can cause ADHD for real.

It illustrates the spiritual principle of the power of words. Our thoughts and words have spiritual power. They can create or destroy. They can shape our fates, and our children’s fate.

Not that all children with ADHD have abusive parents though. While I believe abuses can cause ADHD, I don’t mean all ADHDs are caused by abuses. Some ADHD children are abusive to their siblings and parents.

Today I was diagnosed with ADHD.

This isn’t exactly a surprise, because I have already been suspecting it for 3 weeks. It is a hard to diagnose disease. Before I knew I had it, I had got so used to it that I thought I was normal my whole life, and I thought everyone had the same struggle because everyone complained about not being focused and what not, until I read about ADHD and wondered why I seemed to have all the symptoms.

No wonder life has been a struggle. I thought I was just not trying hard enough. I also had difficulties in almost all area of my life. I seldom have it easy for anything. Now I learned that this was because of ADHD.

I am implusive, intense, stressful, slow, fast, talkative, hyper, often fatigue, hyper-sensitive, easily distracted, random, extremely comical, easily addicted, weird…

From time to time people would give me hints like they would say I was weird, but no one explained what they meant by that. I always pester my friends, brother, pet, and sometime people I barely acquainted. When no people are watching, I would do impromtu dance. My thoughts are all over the place, and one thought breeds several more, and so on. Then I get exhausted in the middle of the day, and have to take a nap. After the nap, I would fidget again. (now it became so obvious. How did I manage to believe I was normal?)

Life is stressful, as I feel out of control often. I struggle to focus and stay on top of things, but I seldom succeed. I would get addicted to manga, Youtube, and other pointless entertainment for days, and then kick myself back to become focused again. When I do become focused, I would lose it in the following days, and have to try to get back up again.

God, why? Why tell me now, not earlier? I am already 30 years old. I got abused all my life because people mistaken my symtoms as my personality. I kept praying and praying but it never go away. I felt like I was being played by you because you never seem to listen to my prayers, and you only let me know what was going on so late.

When you have ADHD, you are painfully aware of things going down. You are aware of time passing by, slowly. You see what’s happening, but no matter how hard you try you just can’t focus. You procrastinate. It’s hard to start tasks, stay on tasks, and finish up tasks. You have difficulty all the way through. Years after years, the sense of unfulfillment and guilt accumulate. It becomes more and more depressing as you suffer more failures as you grow old, and it becomes so depressing than suicidal thoughts become a growing problem.

It’s spiritual abuse when you are so confused about what’s going on, and people kept accusing you of being lazy, unmotivated, and a bad Christian example. Satan often whispers in my ears telling me I am a failure and it’s too late. The depressive thoughts can go on and on and nothing seems to be able to stop them. They are so convincing that you think it’s hopeless. It forces me to reciting Bible verses to counter them, which is the only good thing that came out of it.

Okay, enough of the negative. I will post more articles and videos of my relationship with ADHD. Probably more videos than articles as this blog focus on everything Christian, not just a type of illness. This is a big experiement. I will use natural diets and detoxification to cure it. I will also focus on getting it healed by faith.

Since I have ADHD, which makes me sound childish and comical in real life, I should become a comedian. I have always been a funny person, but I avoid using any humor on this blog to maintain professionalism. I have always wanted to become a comedian but I was waiting for the day when I become financially stable. I guess that day will never come if I kept hiding my true talents. (ADHD isn’t a gift though. It never is.) I was too reserved, too careful, too conventional, too restrained… I was never courageous enough to totally embrace my true passion.

The main reason why I haven’t really started doing comedy was because I didn’t want to show my face. I thought about doing Youtube comedy video but I didn’t like being in a video, because I felt I couldn’t do it without heavy editing (now realized it was ADHD) and I thought I have to perform it tightly scripted.

Recently I have an aha moment. Having watched Youtube for so long, I finally decide to make my own videos. I decide to just let my ADHD show in the videos—no more forcing myself to act normal and all that. Just be my comical self and talk about God that way on Youtube! Because of this illness I have lost everything—well maybe I never had much, and my successes have always been short-lived. When you have lost everything, you have nothing to lose, and “it’s only after we’ve lost everything that we’re free to do anything” (Fight Club).

Did I tell you I just got a janitor job? Next month I might get hired for a security guard job. I am overqualified for a janitor position because I have an honor math decree in Actuarial science (actuary stuff) and some employment history, but I never have a chance to get into my field because I kept failing my professional exams. I have a big gap in my employment history now so I wonder what decent job position I can get. I have truly lost everything (no money, minimum wages, no girlfriend, can’t afford a small pet)… except this blog

You can check if you possibly have ADHD by taking online screening test: Extensive Test, Standard Test, and ADHD forum to see if they sound like you

For those of you who doubt that secret society and satanic rituals are real, here is a true story. A little girl from a Satanic family is now a grown woman and tell her childhood experience to many. She is now a Christian and has been healed in many ways. She has an International ministry that helps abused and neglected children. (link to her video in the below)

What happened was her family practiced Satanism in secret. On the surface they were a typcial American family, but underneath the horror was unspeakable. The father had raped the girl repeatedly, producing babies for human sacrifices in rituals. She was forced to participate in the rituals and drink blood.

I have heard more from other reports from former satanists and survivors. The accounts are pure darkness. It is so depressing that I need to hear Joel Osteen to balance it out!

This girl was allowed to go to church, however, which was perplexing to me. I sometimes heard that the occult allows their slaves to go to Churches, because it helps them inflitrate the churches and it lowers suicidal urges in the victims. In fact, I heard that they are not allowed to practice occultism during the day, for fear that they would become too depressed they would commmit suicides.

The degree of control these people have on their slaves are so strong, because they systematically create “human multiples”, which means a human who has dissociative idenitity disorder.

The amount and frequency of abuses they inflicted on their victims are calculated. The goal is precise—to traumatize the child to the point of dissociating the trauma enough to create a separate mind in the child. A personality began with a piece of isolated memory, which the victim unconsciously created to contain the traumatic memory. The “trainers” further develops that memory into a personality that function they way they want it to function, through hynotism, drug, and other brainwash technique.

This is how a DID victim, aka human multiple, or sleeper, is created folks.

Now back to the girl, so the girl was able to hear the Gospel through a Christian neighbor. She knew in her heart that Jesus was real. She was only 8 at the time. It was not until 18 that she ran away by marrying a man. It ended in divorce, and she was pregnant. She aborted the child (regrettably), and continue in her journey of forgiveness and seeking God… and now see what she has become! To watch her testimony, go here.

Her story resembles that of many survivors from occult families. Who knows, maybe a family in your neighborhood is an occult family. On the surface they may have everything together, but someone in that family, maybe the cute little boy or girl, is crying for help. We are called to be the sheppard, to proclaim freedom, and to release the oppressed. If we don’t help, no one will. In some places, the authority is heavily inflitrated by the occult, and the mainstream media is so owned that they won’t publize these things. We are often time the only people who stand in the way of this dark force. It is important for us to discern and pray for those around us. You never know what kind of tasks God will assign to you when you pray for others.

Luke 4:18

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed

I like this book. The supernatural experience of the child who recounted his visits to heaven in this book resembles many other supernatural experiences I have heard else where. There are quite a few details in this book that help to establish that if the book wasn’t fabricated by the parents, then the child must have had a geunine visitation to heaven.

For example, he was able to meet his grandpa while in heaven (during a surgery), and when he came back to life, he was able to bring this up to his parents, and pinpointed the young grandpa from an old pic of the grandpa with his friends. He didn’t know about his grandpa as he died before he was born, and no one told him about his grandpa. He also met his unborn sister, who died in mom’s womb due to miscarriage, and she hugged him in heaven. He wasn’t supposed to know about his sister either.

Then he was asked what Jesus looked like, and out of many portrays of Jesus, he selected the one painted by the indigo child prodigy, Akiane.

These are the indicators that tell us that if the family isn’t making this up, then it has to be a genuine visit to heaven.

Many readers don’t doubt that the child didn’t lie, but they doubt if his parents have been leading him on, and influenced his thinking by planting thoughts or hints along the way as he shared his experience. The dad was very careful in explaining how careful they were when they were collecting information from the child. They did it subtly, almost tip-toeing, and avoided giving the child any extra information that may feed a child’s imagination. You will see if you read the book.

The boy wasn’t really telling his story intentionally. He was just giving out little bits and pieces casually, in an unfocused, unorganized, and child-like manner. Each time the parents were surprised to hear what they hear. He didn’t realize how extraordinary it was to have seen what he has seen.

The book also talks about the failures of the parents in elaborated details, which convinced me that the parents probably didn’t fabricate the story to gain frame or anything.

All in all, if you want to evangelise to friends and families, giving this book to them is a good idea.

There are more interesting details to the book and I don’t want to spoil it. I just want to make sure you know that I think it is mostly real, although there are also some extra-biblical information that make me second guess a little bit. By the way, almost all visits to heaven came up with a slightly conflicting account of what heaven and the living beings in heaven are like. Some said there were female angels, some said the saints had wings, some said that Jesus had a whipping post for naughty Christians, and others said otherwise.

Ultimately, I found that even the most reliable accounts of heaven have weird details that I will never be able to determine if they are false or not, unless I go to heaven myself. These days there are many testimonies from people who had visited heaven and hell, which is good, but there are also many extra-biblical information from these visitations. I think there might be errors from these witnesses. Maybe the spiritual realm is such an elusive place to retain in a fragile mind.

We can Pray for Visions and Dreams Too

Joel 2:29

And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.

Jeremiah 33:3

3 ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

For me, I find it hard to consistently pray for visions and dreams, but it is of paramount importance that we do it. The time is evil, and we need all the support we can get from heaven. To pray for assistance is a sign of humility, not pride. I used to think that I didn’t need supernatural vision or dream, but I was wrong. These experiences can really transform our life and bring breakthroughs.

People whom I knew to be in touch with God in such a way that they consistently see visions and dreams usually were quite disciplined. They ask for it, and they don’t let go. If we have a wishy washy attitude, these things won’t come.

So let’s start praying that visions and dreams will be a part of life!

His mom wondered about that too, according to Joel himself. Since he was little, he has always had a smile on his face, and it seemed so unreal to his mom, whom for the longest time wondering if he had something to hide!

Eventually his mom believed he was just a happy little guy.

It took me years to finally accept that Joel Osteen was a true man of God. Everytime I read his book, or heard from him, he was always giving me specific answers that I had been looking for at the time. The timing was supernatural. I have to emphasize this—I really wanted those answers badly.

Answers for questions like:

What if I have missed God’s best plan?

Why does everything I fear seem to come true eventually?

How to forgive?

Am I too old? Have I made too many mistake to redeem the time I have lost?

How to overcome depression and be happy?

Is it too late to do anything now, because the enemies have gained so much ground in this generation? (the Illuminati conspiracy that I can’t deny and its too horrible)

These questions might look non-special to you, but at times these questions really bothered me. I had to battle major depressive thoughts, guilts, and regrets. These questions would come up and I couldn’t find peace without hearing definite answers for them.

The first book by him that I read was “Your Best Life Now”, and a few years later, “Every day a Friday”.

Still I didn’t understand how right on he really was on many things. It took me so many years to make it a point to only support the churches that believe in and practice these things: healing, miracle, tongues, prophecy, dreams, words of faith… and I didn’t know Joel Osteen and his deceased dad (as well as mentor) believe in the same things too. I always thought he was just a motivational speaker. In fact, he knows his Bible well, and teaches it as it is. He doesn’t seem to believe in Once Saved Always Saved if I heard him right in between the lines. If that’s true, I like it!

Many Christians seem to automatically turn off if a preacher preaches about success and wealth, but Joel Osteen really teaches biblical lessons. We don’t need to label it the Prosperity Gospel, as if prosperity is something wrong. As long as he finds support from the Bible without twisting or un-balance any part, I have no problem with him.

The critics accuse him of preaching the false Gospel, but when I looked at each arugment, I found them to be ungrounded. As for myself, when I read his book I would ask this question once every few pages: “but what about this…? the Bible also says…” and a few pages later I would find something that settle my doubts. I think he is quite biblical in all the things I have checked so far.

We need someone who specializes in the encouraging side of the Bible these days, because our time is so dark and evil. Due to the needs to do research for this website ministry, I frequently uncovered the true evil and darkness in this world, and it really depressed me sometimes. When that happens, which happens quite often, God would tell me to listen to Joel.

In each sermon he has stories of miracles to share, which are based on what he himself experienced, and what he personally heard from his congregation members, or family. How many pastor can share real testimonies like that? The problem we have today is not the excess of true prosperity and miracles, but the lack of. Many teachers are preaching empty sermons these days, with nothing to show for. God has put a desire in my heart to look for pastors who have real supernatural experiences with him.

I would have followed Joel’s ministry all the way since the first time I heard about him, but I kind of stopped when Joel didn’t tell Larry King that Jesus was the only way. I didn’t take him too seriously since because he didn’t seem to have the courage to match his teachings. Recently I have been listening to his sermons on Youtube, and again he was right on targets for many questions I have been asking lately. I guess I will give me the benefit of the doubt!

“Every Day a Friday” is a good book, and I am going to do a book review on it. The messages in it was timely blessings to my soul. Whenever you feel heavy or depressed, go on Youtube and watch one of his sermons. Don’t watch them all at once—interlace each video in between the tough trials of life. It makes it easier to absorb his messages.

Earlier I watched a series of Youtube videos on real paranormal activities. It has very real clips of ghosts, ET aliens, demons, witches, and other supernatural entities. The reason why I watched it was because it included Christian based commentary, with the intention of showing us how supernatural our world really is. Normally, I don’t watch these videos, because we tend to get what we seek after. Nevertheless, I do have a couple of paranormal encounters this year, but I had expected them to happen, because I have been doing more for the Lord this year. When we start doing something that bring real threats to Satan, it could mean more demonic resistance when “normal” obstacles were enough to stop us.

This year I have also read of many supernatural experiences, first and foremost the Christians experiences such as angelic encounters, supernatural dreams and visions, answered prayers, and miracles. The experiences I read are not confined to those of Christians only, but including the ones from the agnostic and atheists. Supernatural experiences are vast and common these days. Maybe it has always been the case since the beginning of human history. I read most of them from the experienceproject.com, a site which many people posted their stories of all kinds. It is one of the few social networking site that I found to be more fun.

It is not a religious or spiritual themed site. Anyone can post any type of personal stories there. It is eyes opening to see so many people from all walks of life have had paranormal experiences.

Paranormal is normal.

Our official Western culture denies it, but the reality is that almost every other person has (at least) a real paranormal story to tell. Many people recongized that there were supernatural entities, whether they recongized their true identities as demons, angels, or God. To insist that our world only has a materialistic side despite vast amount of anecdotal evidence, and countless loopholes in many so called studies that try to debunks the paranormal.

The videos series on real paranormal activities I mentioned earlier heavy. These are very terrifying clips. If you think your level of faith hasn’t reached to the point where you are ready for spiritual battles, I would suggest you to not watch it just yet, but to seek a real Penticostal churches, or deliverance ministry to equip yourself for battles. There is no escape from our divine duty as a warrior of God in this life. Whether you like to confront them or not, the enemies are there. They are everywhere, doing harms to us ongoingly. They want to keep their presence hidden so that their evil work would go on unopposed. I want more of us to know these things, and join the battles. Any church that doesn’t have a focus on real spiritual warfare is disillusional and useless.

Earlier I was watching a series of very cute Youtube videos. The talk show host Jimmel Kimmel asked his viewers to prank their children the day after the Halloween, by telling the kids they ate all their candies. The result was a lot of crying… (go on Youtube and search “ate all halloween candies” for the raw footages)

I saw something inspiring for everyone of us though. Some kids understandably cried, while a few of the kids got rowdy and even violent, and fewer kids were perfectly cool about it.

In these videos I noticed something interesting. If the parents told this to their kids in a quiet and apologetical manner, the kids were more calm. Those who asked their kids “would you forgive me?” usually got forgiven for “eating all their candies”. To the parents who were used to being playful, the kids usually suspected if it was a trick, even though eventually they still got pranked and cried, they quickly recovered after learning the truth. To the parents who mentioned the words “forgive”, their kids were more calm and composed, upon learning this traumatizing news. This shows us visually the power of Biblical teaching.

I can’t judge the parenting skills of those parents in the videos based on the short clips, but I think the general pattern is there. Kids mirror their parents. If the parents always create conflicts at home, the kids would have lower EQ. If the parents set a good example, the kids are set for a smoother life. I believe in this principle as I myself had had very bad EQ growing up, due to the lack of good examples from adults. I was always a drama queen! I was used to conflicts all my childhood.

Later in life, I found out that there were better ways to deal with drama. I met a few people here or there who stayed cool when encountering problems that would have made me throw a fit.

Those were the embarassing times that I had. I have changed slowly over the years, but my drama queen self was stubborn. It took so many years. It is a much easier life for those who are able to manage their emotion well.

When we have a stable mind, we can avoid escalating a bad situation, and quickly come up with solutions. Most of the challenges that we are facing are fluff. They are ignorable. If we just let things go more often, and be patient, we would have bypassed so many unnecessary troubles. They would have died off naturally if we don’t feed them more negative energy. We will have another chance to make that money back. We will meet someone special next time. We will get another job. There will always be a second chance. It is never too late. God might tell us he ate all our candies, but we don’t have to throw a fit, just stay cool. There are always more candies.

By the way, we shouldn’t celebrate Halloween. It is a dark day. A lot of satanic rituals and human sacrifice are going on during October. Many evil things take place in the month. We should rather fast and pray for our nations, and the victims during October. Do not teach your kids to celerbate Halloween!

Is China really as prosperous as the West portrays her to be?

As a Chinese (Canadian) myself, I can tell you that I have heard about a lot of abuses and corruptions there, from Chinese bloggers, alternative news, or the individual citizens. There are some very rich people for sure, but the poor who live in rural areas of China might not even have the opportunities to better their life due to many factors (mainly political corruptions). Unlike the Christian nations in the West, the citizens in China do not have equal opportunity to pursue happiness and success.

The main reason why the nation prospered in recent decades was because the Chinese communist government opened the market (to not intervene with the market as much) and made compromises to allow capitalism to run its course, and it worked. The sad thing is that the communist party stole credits for the success of capitalism.

The Ghost Cities

Here comes the topic of the day—the ghost cities. Satelite images showed many empty cities in China. One of my friends personally saw one of these places just two weeks ago! These are brand new cities built from scratch. Why do they build so many cities that have no people?

The Chinese government is so smart they have to be up to something brilliant right? Is it another conspiracy? New prison cities with survillence system to imprison the citizens in the future? Maybe, but if that happens it won’t be their original intent.

The truth is probably NOT stranger than fiction this time. I say it has nothing much to do with any conspiracy. It’s just another farce of planned economy. The local governments want to appease the central government, which pressures her minions to maintain a 8%+ GDP growth. Afterall, this is still a communist government, and while they are politically confused enough to allow capitalism to run for now, they haven’t abondoned their belief in central planning entirely. They think they can create jobs and fuel the economy by building cities (that nobody wants). This can actually boost the GDP number, but it’s a paper growth. Synethized jobs do nothing but harm to the actual economy, by stealing resources from the real producers and consumers of the private sectors.

The creation of empty cities creates an artificial bubble in real estate, and bubbles will eventually burst. Eventually the truth will find her way into reality. You can’t defy truth forever. Every house of cards will eventually crumble.

When the Bubble Bursts

Like when Japan fell into decades long recession just when everybody thought she was going to be huge, China has the potential to repeat the same fate. However, you and I can use this knowledge to profit. For example, you may wait for the moment to sweep in and buy cheap value stocks when the Chinese market fell. This is just one of the many ways you can benefit from a market meltdown. In the meantime we can save capital and wait for the judgement day to happen, and then buy stocks that fell way below their true values when everyone is panicking and sell their shares.

Whether the stock markets do well or not should have no negative impact on us at all if we remain coolheaded and make the informed decision based by knowing the fundamentals. And one of the fundamental is that the supply has to meet the demand. Artificial jobs and planned economy that don’t have any real demand is unsustainable. This means if you know that the hitting the fan scenario is going to happen, withdraw your investments from the market (this is why mutual funds and insurance investment are bad for you—they lock your money in), and invest it in safer places such as precious metals (effective when inflation is certain), and wait until the market crush, and invest your money on the cheap stocks!

Is It THAT Simple?

Yes it is, though it maybe hard to impliment because we as humans are emotional and tend to follow the herds. The sad thing is, history has repeated itself again and again, but people in general don’t learn from it. The ghost cities of China is not the first example of the failure of central economic planning. There are tons of examples like in the past. They are unbelievably stupid if you study them.

Sometimes we forget that our circumstances don’t matter, and our earthly labels don’t matter either. I am often tempted to feel bad about my have and have not in earthly terms. I wanted fame, good look, girl, and success. Sometimes I didn’t feel comfortable with my age too. There were times when I wished I was older, and times when I wished I was younger. I wish I have it all and never miss out every single earthly blessing.

What does it really matter if we know who we are in Christ, and that we are in the middle of His will?

If we never miss a day to love God, then what else do we lack?

It’s easy to say these words when I am in the light, but during dark nights of the soul when tormenting doubts attack my mind, it can become easy to forget everything God told me.

“Never doubt in the dark what God has shown you in the light”

If we have inherited all spiritual blessings in Christ (Ephesians 1:3), then we don’t have any reason to worry about anything on earth. We are kings! (Revelation 5:10) That means we can have whatever we need. We should no longer worry about falling behind. We shouldn’t need to envy and compete with others if we know how much more we already have in Christ.

God can give you the best job ever if you think you are stuck in your career. He can give you the money you need to accomplish any dream he puts in you. He can arrange for the best person to come along if you ever need to marry. He can fulfill ever dream that he puts in our heart. I often forget these truth and get tempted to feel depressed at my circumstance.

It is easier to say than to believe them all the time myself. Just this early morning many negative thoughts had been bombarding my mind. I prayed for about an hour, but after that the negative thoughts and memories still came at me, and after a few hours of the ordeal I was emotionally spent.

When I am emotionally spent, I get tired and want to get numb. By that time, I often couldn’t help but to find something to numb my mind. Godly things don’t numb our mind, so I would get worldly entertainment that is not good to help numb the pains.

I didn’t realize these reasons for my “addictions”, or lack of discipline, for many years until recently. I thought I had addictions of world entertainment such as comics, TV, gaming, browsing the Internet, other unproductive distractions, or even porn, but the truth is that I was often too traumatized by my own (or Satan’s) thoughts that I needed something to medicate my pains.

All my unfulfilled desires are hurting me. For many years, I felt stuck financially, relationally, and even spiritually. I feel very bad when I look back everytime, and feel that I have wasted so much times.

Today I had another alone time with God and this time the encouragement from God finally came. He helped me to remember who I am in Christ, and that because of who I am in Christ I cannot be in the wrong age, wrong place, and wrong position if I had truly followed him all these years. Later, I happened to see Joel Osteen’s TV program on the schedule, and switched to that channel at the said time. I had my precise questions answered. This man of God encouraged me.

I believe this was a divine arrangement for me to find out when his show was playing. God was working behind the scene to remind me of his truth.

Ephesians 1:17-19

17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit[a] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength
