Looking at the standard, token 'artistic' and 'unique' background on the standby screen gave me the original idea of creating my own.

Over the years i've become relatively proficient at Photoshop, and I am now at a point where i can log on to Deviant Art, download custom brushes that talented people have made, and use them to pretend that i have even the slightest of design creativity about me! The end product of my shameless quest to be artistic are bespoke wallpapers for my baby - my iphone and I are rather close.

Now whenever i look at the standby display i smile, happy in the knowledge that some one othere, far better than me in every way, worked hard to make sure that i could kid myself into thinking i've got a knack for abstract design.

Shout out to Paul W for the brushes, check his deviant page out, some pretty slick stuff there, keep it up

Intro to Dizzy Dawg

Right you guys need to get to know my dog if you're going to be a part of my world. She's a golden retriever (pedigree ahem), and a year and a half old. Her pet hobbies (waahey) include eating and chasing EVERYTHING. Here she is in all her glory.

I spend most of my time at work so when i get back she gets pretty damn excited. She's just about getting the hang of sitting and staying without a treat as a reward which is awesome, but i'm still not particularly comfortable letting her off the leash in the park. If anyone has any tips on how to train a dog to return to you when off the leash i'm all ears! In her spare time she's very cat like and manages to sneak into my room and steal socks to play with. She gets one at a time and her record is 6 undetected break ins. Her surprising slickness has left me with a smaller window between laundry days and no matchign socks.

Good girl.
