Korang tau maksud cakna?

Cakna ni bahasa terengganu maksudnya, ambil peduli.

Ok i nak share ni. Lepas beberapa minggu jadi WAHM ni mmg ada penyakit hari2 nak mop rumah. Pantang nampak lantai tak berkilat.. Memang laju je pegi capai batang mop.

Dulu masa bekerja,mmg kadang2 buat tak cakna je. Bukan apa kadang tu badan penat sangat nak mop rumah. Haku kalau dah start pegang mop mmg satu rumah ku kerjakan. Hihihiihi.

Tapi tu la, sesejak dok rumah mmg setiap pelusuk rumah nak kene cakna. Dulu selalu outsource je, now Alhamdulillah semua bole buat sendiri.

Penat tapi membahagiakan.

Hmm.. ada lagi ke blog reader kita? if ada please komen "saya nak!" . Ok takde kaitan =P

Anyway, actually kita pun macam terkejut ni..last update was in 2012. Like seriously zatty?? Busy sangat ke engkau?

TAK BUSY PUN LAH. serious tipu.

Sebenarnya kita takde la busy mana. Tapi disebabkan ada facebook and instagram..mmg takde masa nak mengadap semua. Tapi sesejak dok rumah ni ehhhh byk pulak masa. Sampai tahap nak lap sudu garpu dah ni.

Haha.

Berbalik pada tajuk, tanggal 4 October 2014, i dengan rasminya menjadi surirumah sepenuh masa. Wohooooo! Like finally!

This few question yang orang tanya during my notice period and masa my last day:

1) ZATTY, KENAPA KAU RESIGN?

Hmm,sebab utama i resign ialah..it's my husband wish. Dah lama dia nak kita duduk rumah jaga anak2, jaga hal ehwal rumah. Sebab dia cakap, sebaik2 tempat isteri adalah dirumah. Kau rasa,berani ke nak melawan ke point dia tu?

2) ZATTY, KAU RESIGN SEBAB KEJE KAU TAK BES KE?

I have no problem with my work. Best best belako. Serious 😏.

3) ZATTY,KAU RESIGN KAU NAK PERGI MANA?

Fuhh, ini soalan paling mencabar nak jawab. Actually mmg tak ramai tau i will endup as SAHM. Kenapa rahsia? hmm, for some reason la. Ada la yg tau, i think 2 of my colleagues tahu psal ni. Thanks korg sebab pandai simpan rahsia. Lebiu lah!

Lepas dah buat announcement, waduhhh..whatsapp berderu deru plak masuk. Antaranya:

1) SAMPAI HATIMU MENIPUKU ZATTY!

Ahh..mcmlah ko xpenah menipu aku kan kan kan........

2) BOLE KE KAU JADI HOUSEWIFE NI ZATTY?

Lorrr..kene ada certification pape ke nak jadi housewife? choyyy! Keji tau memandang rendah kemampuan kita.

3) KAU TAK TAKUT KE NANTI TETIBE LAKI KO ADA POMPUAN LAIN LALU TINGGALKAN KAU?KAU DAHLA TAK KEJE!

Hmm, kalau dia nak ada pompuan lain, time i keje pun dia bole buat camtu. Tak gitu? Dia pun dah tua, pepandai la pikir. Yer,dia tua.Sorry, i muda lagi ok.

4) ALL THE BEST ZATTY! SEMOGA DIPERMUDAHKAN URUSANMU.

Haa..yang ni very the positive...i likeeeee! Thanks korg yang bagi semangad. Yer,mmg bukan mudah pun nak sesuaikan diri. Sometimes rasa mcm betul ke apa aku buat ni? Tapi bila tgk anak2, bila tengok perut suami makin ke depan..rasa mcm..

SYUKUR SANGAT!

Harap dapat bertahan lama la as a SAHM. Ni pun nak start balik MH yg dah lama ditinggalkan akibat kebusy-an tahap melampau kekononnya.

Hi alls,yeas i know..this is super late entry!

Well,nak tulis jugak sbb so nanti bila my kids dah besar dia tahu yang mak diaorg pernah masuk TV. Hahaha. Ok gediks.

Bukan selalu dpt masuk TV. Ye lah,kita ni bukan siapa2,tak femes..Thanks to mommy Amal sbb call i..It's a last minute decision! And...yang paling special,the shooting is on my BIRTHDAY yg ke 23! Wooott!

Actually the shooting is for Safiyya TV9 sempena mothers day. Rasanya episod 20 kot. Korg gi la tgk kat tonton.com.my (kalau rajin la =P ). Sorry i lupa utk slot apa. Rasa mcm ibu bekerjaya kot..ke hot mom.HOT ke masalahnye? hahahaha.

Even tho ianya bukan live,but still...nervous la jugak. Nasib la Hajar (the reporter) very friendly and the Qs tak susah sgt. Main ckp je apa yang kita rasa.

After reading these 9 crucial tips,
forward them to someone you care about. It never hurts to be careful in this crazy world we live in.

1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do :
The elbow is the strongest point
on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do!

2. Learned this from a tourist guide.
If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse,
DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM.
Toss it away from you....
Chances are that he is more interested
in your wallet and/or purse than you,
and he will go for the wallet/purse.

3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car,
kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole

If someone is in the car
with a gun to your head
DO NOT DRIVE OFF,
Repeat:
DO NOT DRIVE OFF!
Instead gun the engine and
speed into anything, wrecking the car.
Your Air Bag will save you.
If the person is in the back seat
they will get the worst of it.
As soon as the car crashes
bail out and run.
It is better than having them find your body
in a remote location.

5. A few notes about getting
into your car in a parking lot,
or parking garage:
A.) Be aware:
look around you,
look into your car,
at the passenger side floor ,
and in the back seat.
B.) If you are parked next to a big van,
enter your car from the passenger door.
Most serial killers attack their victims
by pulling them into their vans while the women
are attempting to get into their cars.
C.) Look at the car
parked on the driver's side of your vehicle,
and the passenger side.. If a male is sitting alone
in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back
into the mall, or work, and get a
guard/policeman to walk you back out.
IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)

6. ALWAYS take the elevator
instead of the stairs.
Stairwells are horrible places to be alone
and the perfect crime spot.
This is especially true at NIGHT!)

7. If the predator has a gun
and you are not under his control,
ALWAYS RUN!
The predator will only hit you (a running target)
4 in 100 times; and even then,
it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ.
RUN, Preferably in a zig -zag pattern!

8. As women are always trying
to be sympathetic:
STOP
It may get you raped, or killed.
Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking,
well educated man, who ALWAYS played
on the sympathies of unsuspecting women.
He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often
asked 'for help' into his vehicle or with his vehicle,
which is when he abducted
his next victim.

9. Another Safety Point:
Someone just told me that her friend heard
a crying baby on her porch the night before last,
and she called the police because it was late
and she thought it was weird.. The police told her
'Whatever you do, DO NOT
open the door..'
The lady then said that it sounded like the baby
had crawled near a window, and she was worried
that it would crawl to the street and get run over.
The policeman said, 'We already have a unit on the way,
whatever you do, DO NOT open the door.'
He told her that they think a serial killer
has a baby's cry recorded and uses it to coax
women out of their homes thinking that someone
dropped off a baby.. He said they have not verified it,
but have had several calls by women saying that
they hear baby's cries outside their doors
when they're home alone at night.

10. Water scam!
If you wake up in the middle
of the night to hear all your taps outside running or what you think is a burst pipe, DO NOT GO OUT TO INVESTIGATE! These people turn on all your outside taps full blast so that you will go out to investigate and then attack.

Stay alert, keep safe, and look out for your neighbors!

30 hours ago, I escaped from being kidnapped

As I sit here writing this, I am just so grateful to be alive.

To think that 30 hours ago I had a knife to my throat, face to face with the threat of being kidnapped and raped.

It was a Sunday, at 5.22PM. I was alone, walking towards my boyfriend's car in level B2 of The Curve, Mutiara Damansara. He was not in town, and I was running errands with his car. Just as I was putting my shopping bags in the rear seat, the rear car door was slammed against my back, and a meat cleaver was pressed against my throat. A man covered my mouth with his hand, and whispered not to scream. He then shoved me onto the floor of the backseat of the car and waved the cleaver at me, reminding me not to scream. He was skinny, wearing a baggy turqoise blue t-shirt, had a thick moustache and short curly hair, approx 5'8", mid-30s, and of Indian descent.

At this moment, second man appeared. He was also in his mid-30s. He was wearing a red t-shirt, had a crewcut, and was of Malay descent. He grabbed my car keys and demanded for my parking ticket. I couldn't remember where it was. They shoved me deeper into the car, and the Indian man got into the back seat with me, while the Malay man got into the driver's seat, driving us out of the carpark.

I told them they could take everything, just let me go. But at that point they didn't even ask for money. Instead, the Indian man started to make sexual advances. Then it hit me. "Oh my God. Oh my God. This is really happening. I'm being kidnapped.. and I think I know what they want."

From this moment on, there were a few crucial things that happened that I think is the reason I'm alive today.

1. I managed to get into a position to escape.
When they got into the car, the Indian man had tried to force my body down onto the floor. I knew that the moment I'm on the floor, there would be no chance of escape. So I begged him to let me sit up. I promised him I wouldn't scream or alert anyone's attention. Thankfully, he trusted me, and let me sit up, gripping my arm tightly. Then I told him my arm really hurt and to please not grip it so hard. He loosened his grip.

2. I did not fight for the sake of fighting.
I was in an enclosed space, with no clear escape route. I would never win in a fight with these 2 guys, especially when they have sharp weapons. Had I fought from the get go, I may not have been in a position to escape. I might've even been knocked out cold, and God only knows where I would be right now.

3. I was lucky and sneaky.
I knew that the only way to escape, was to jump out of the car, even if it was moving. They had locked the car doors. So I leaned back, pretended to scratch my hair, and shakily unlocked the door I was leaning against. I'm so lucky they did not see or hear this!

4. I went 'crazy' at the right time.
And then I waited. I knew that the car would have to slow down outside the parking lot, as it exits to merge with the main roads. The moment it slowed down, I opened the car door and tried to make a run for it. I failed. I kicked my legs out of the car, but the Indian man had managed to pull my body back in. >From this moment on, everything is a blur. I remember the Malay driver temporarily stopping the car, leaning over from the driver's seat and attempting to close the door and pull my legs in. At that point I remember thinking, "Even if I don't get out now, I need to keep the door open and my legs out the door. At the very least, it should cause a scene, and someone would see me. Or, the door might hit another car and they'll be forced to slow down." So I continued kicking. My right foot pushed against the wide-open car door to keep it open. I recall elbowing, struggling, kicking, and even biting. I lost my glasses, and was struggling blindly for my life. At some point the Malay driver yelled, "BAGI DIA LEPAS! BAGI DIA LEPAS!" (Let her go! Let her go!) and the Indian man loosened his grip. I made a jump out of the still-moving car, and ran for my life.

5. I acted in spite of the fear.
My friends said I was brave. But I didn't feel like it. I was quivering and shaking in fear. I was so afraid. I thought I was going to die. I was weak with fear and deathly afraid. I truly thought "this was it". But I knew I HAD to move. I had to run. Or there would be a worser fate in store for me. While I was quaking in fear, I forced myself to look around and see if there was any way I could escape, or even catch someone's eye.

6. I remembered the people I love.
The only thing that matters when you're faced with potentially horrendous fate, is the people in your life. When I felt the knife to my neck, the first thing I thought was , "This cannot be happening. I must be dreaming." The second? The people that truly matter to me flashed across my mind. It sounds cliche, but it's true. I thought of my parents. My brother. Khailee. Esther. More people. That's all I could think of for a few moments, before I started brainstorming my escape.

I ran towards the Maybank outlet at the Curve. There were plenty of people milling around. I screamed for help over and over again. I was hysterical. I grabbed an older Malay man by his shoulders and begged for help before practically collapsing at his feet.

I will always remember the relief and liberation I felt, running over Mutiara Damansara's manicured grass and into the crowd.

Today, I found out that the entire ordeal from the moment I left the parking ticket payment machine, to my escape, happened in about 4 minutes. To me, it felt like one long nightmare.

We never think its going to happen to us... and then it does. I used to think that this is something that happens only in the papers and to people far, far removed from me. But then it did happen to me. I moved to PJ/KL 6 years ago, and I've spent countless mornings, afternoons and nights at The Curve. When my friends and I were organizing Rock Up! back in 2008, we were walking around the place at 4AM even. It's been 6 years, and never once did I feel that I was unsafe at The Curve. Until yesterday.

I feel like moving out of the country ASAP. Getting the hell out of this state where you hear of a kidnapping or attempted one every month (remember Nayati?), or a snatch theft every week. And yet I'm fully aware of the fact that in another country with more lax firearm laws, they would've been holding a gun to my head, not a cleaver. And that would've been so, so much worse.

I'm Blessed. By God's grace, I am alive and relatively well. And I will live another day to build another cat iPhone app. It just was not my time to go. And for that, I thank God.
I want to share this story with everyone because cops tell me that they rarely get to hear it from someone who escapes.

Girls, be so very careful. Be vigilant, and please try not to go anywhere alone. If you need to walk to the carpark, and you're alone, get a guard to go with you. I was recently told that it's part of their job description to assist anyone if needed.

Guys, watch out for your girlfriends, wives, mothers, sisters and friends. Walk with them, don't take their paranoia or fear lightly. Watch out for them.

And everyone, just watch out for each other. Take care of each other. These things really DO happen. As I ran out of the car, so many people came to help me. Strangers who didn't know who I was, came forward and offered me tissue paper, water, cellphones, and general comfort.

Malaysians, please care for one another. You already do. Just keep on caring. Keep watching out for each other. Don't worry about being thought of as "busy body" or "overreacting". The world can be a cruel place, but all it takes is for people to care for one another to make all the difference.

1) Jangan pukul anak dari lutut keatas

2) Jangan gunakan tangan/anggota tubuh kita utk memukul anak dan jangan sesekali menampar anak pakai tangan kita. nanti anak jadi bertambah degil dan nakal dan tak boleh control

3) Rotan/pukul anak di telapak kakinya . Secara saintifiknya ada kaitan dengan refleksologi dan merangsang ke bahagian otak

Sabda Rasulullah s.a.w. "Berguraulah dengan anak kamu kala usianya satu hingga tujuh tahun. Berseronok dengan mereka, bergurau hingga naik atas belakang pun tak apa. Jika suka geletek, kejar atau usik anak asalkan hubungan rapat. Lepas tujuh hingga 14 tahun kita didik dan ajar, kalau salah pukullah dia (sebagai pengajaran)" dimana yang nak dipukul tu? Tapak kakinya ... bukan muka, punggung, telinga dan ditempat-tempat yang sensitif... itu salah...

4). Mulakanlah hidup anak anda dengan nama panggilan yang baik. Nama panggilan yang kurang baik akan menyebabkan anak anda malu dan merasa rendah diri. (Dalam Islam sendiri nama panggilan yang baik adalah digalakkan).

5). Berikan anak anda pelukkan setiap hari (Kajian menunjukkan anak yang dipeluk setiap hari akan mempunyai kekuatan IQ yg lebih kuat daripada anak yang jarang dipeluk)

6). Pandanglah anak anda dengan pandangan kasih sayang (Pandangan ini akan membuatkan anak anda lebih yakin diri apabila berhadapan dengan persekitaran)

7). Berikan peneguhan setiap kali anak anda berbuat kebaikan (Berilah pujian, pelukkan, ciuman, hadiah ataupun sekurang-kurangnya senyuman untuk setiap kebaikan yang dilakukannya).

Janganlah mengharapkan anak anda yang belum matang itu melakukan sesuatu perbuatan baik secara berterusan, mereka hanya kanak-kanak yang sedang berkembang. Perkembangan mereka buatkan mereka ingin mengalami setiap perkaratermasuklah berbuat silap.

9). Apabila anda berhadapan dengan masalah kerja dan keluarga,pilihlah keluarga (Seorang penulis menyatakan anak-anak terus membesar. Masa itu terus berlalu dan tak akan kembali).

10). Di dalam membesarkan dan mendidik anak-anak, janganlah tuan/puan mengeluh. Keluhan akan membuatkan anak-anak merasakan diri mereka beban.

11). Dengarlah cerita anak anda, cerita itu tak akan dapat anda dengari lagi pada masa akan datang. Tunggu giliran anda untuk bercakap (Ini akan mengajar anak anda tentang giliran untuk bercakap)

12). Tenangkan anak anda setiap kali mereka memerlukannya.

13). Tunjukkan kepada anak anda bagaimana cara untuk menenangkan diri. Mereka akan menirunya.

14). Buatkan sedikit persediaan untuk anak-anak menyambut harijadinya. Sediakanlah hadiah harijadi yang unik walaupun harganya murah. Keunikan akan membuatkan anak anda belajar menghargai. (Anak2 yg dtg daripada persekitaran yang menghargai akan belajar menghargai orang lain).

15). Kemungkinan anak kita menerima pengajaran bukan pada kali pertama belajar. Mereka mungkin memerlukan kita mengajar mereka lebih daripada sekali.

16). Luangkanlah masa bersama anak anda diluar rumah, peganglah tangan anak-anak apabila anda berjalan dengan mereka. Mereka tentu akan merasa kepentingan kehadiran mereka dalam kehidupan anda suami isteri.

17). Dengarlah mimpi ngeri anak-anak anda. Mimpi ngeri mereka adalah begitu real dalam dunia mereka.

18). Hargailah permainan kesayangan anak anda. Mereka juga dalam masa yang sama akan menghargai barang-barang kesayangan anda. Elakkan daripada membuang barang kesayangan mereka walaupun sudah rosak. Mintalah kebenaran mereka sebelum berbuat demikian.

19). Janganlah membiarkan anak-anak anda tidur tanpa ciuman selamat malam,

20). Terimalah yang kadangkala anda bukanlah ibubapa yang sempurna. Ini akan mengurangkan stress menjadi ibu bapa.

21). Jangan selalu membawa bebanan kerja pejabat ke rumah. Anak-anak akan belajar bahawa kerja pejabat selalunya lebih penting daripada keluarga.

22). Anak menangis untuk melegakan keresahan mereka tetapi kadangkala cuma untuk sound effect sahaja. Bagaimanapun dengarilah mereka, dua puluh tahun dari sekarang anda pula yang akan menangis apabila rumah mula terasa sunyi. Anak-anak anda mula sibuk mendengar tangisan anak mereka sendiri.

Lama gilaaaa xupdate! Being a mom of 2,businesswomen (woceh) and wanita bekerjaya ni sapa cakap senang?

Keje opis banyak,keje rumah pon byk..haih la.xkan penah abes keje2 ni semua sampai blog diabaikan.

Anyway,baru2 ni mak and abah telah selamat berangkat ke tanah suci utk menunaikan rukun islam :-) Alhamdulillah,rezeki diaorg dpt pergi tahun ni..

Tp masa nak anta mak abah tu tahan nangis jugaklah sbb hubby pesan jgn nangis dpn diaorg.fuhhh..seb baik mampu xnangis tp lepas je diaorg pergi..mmg banjir abes.sapa xsedih kan.tp ye lah,diaorg pergi sana sbb beribadat so doa je la yg terbaik utk diaorg :-) AMIN

Aydan pulak dh nak masuk 8mnths.yeayyy!maknanya dh 8mnths fully bf dia.Alhamdulillah!aydan now dlm proses nak merangkak.mengesot laju xhengat dunia kadang tu sampai tertumoih ke depan T__T pastu dia nangis kuat2!

And aydan dah start makan nestum n biskut.aydan ni lain dr rayna sbb dia mcm suka gila makan.rayna picky sikit.aydan kalau kita makan,dia pon xmakan..kalau tak dia ngamok!

Luas kan dahi aydan?mcm papa dia.i panggil dahi KLIA. Dia punya luas mcm kapalterbang bole landing kan?hihihii.

Phewww!since ramai jugak yg tanya apa tips jadi mcm ni,ni la yg i nak share mcmana i lose weight.

Well,masa sebelum pregnantkan aydan i was 60kg..kadang2 61..Tp mmg within that range lah.start je pregnant,due to bad morning sickness,i lost 3kg first trimester..ingatkan lps 1st trim dh ok la kan tp the sickness getting worst.siang malam muntah.xboleh makan over sikit.nasi mmg jd musuh time.mmg xbole nak telan.

Dipendekkan cerita i lost 10kg in total masa pregnant.masa pantang,berat maintain 50kg.tu masa confinement nanny ada.bila dia blk je,kene jg diri sendiri berat slowly turun lg.sbb at the same time i kne jaga rayna,jaga baby,buat housework.turun naik tangga berkali2 dlm sehari.fuhh.srsly mmg penat sampai xlalu nak makan langsung.

Even sampai sekarang hubungan i dgn nasi masih lg suam2 kuku je.hahaha.but i still kene makan nasi sbb breastfeeding kan.tp mkn nasi sekali je sehari.slalunya tghari la.mlm mmg xmkn nasi.xlalu sbb penat.

Kadang2 sampai kne paksa makan dgn hubby :-) to be honest,selain dr kurang makan nasi,i mmg kurangkan intake fastfood dgn ais which i think it help a lot!badan pon xrasa trok sgt.

Some of my fren ckp kalau breastfeeding mmg senang kurus.maybe yes,maybe no.lepas 3mnths maternity leave aritu org kat opis siap tanye i ni sakit ke.sbb kurus sgt.(maksudnya kurus dr sblm ni).

Alhamdulillah,happy sgt!.seronok bila dpt balik figure mcm zaman anak dara.eh tp masa sblm kawen pon i 55kg.

Mommies out there yg nak lose weight,jgn susah2 pergi slimming centre or makan pill yg bukan2,just jaga makan insyaAllah..tapi hati kene kental sikit la :-)

I mmg berazam nak kurus sbb penah kene perli ok kat kedai baju masa nak beli baju raya last 2 yrs.budak salesgirl xsyg mulut tu siap ckp,muat ke kak part bontot tu?eeeisshhh sentap hatimaknak.hahahah

Now nak beli baju online pon tadahal.dulu bole beli tudung je sbb tudung xpayah nak risau dgn sizing kan.

Oh speaking of tudung,have u guys beli tudung raya?kalau xde tu can visit cottonmoms now!wahhh sempat lg tu promote.

MARRIAGE

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn't talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Jane. I didn't love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Jane so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn't have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Jane.

When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn't want anything from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month's time and she didn't want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day.

She requested that every day for the month's duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Jane about my wife's divorce conditions. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully.

My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mommy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don't tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outsidethe door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn't looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.

On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn't tell Jane about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me... she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry mom out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn't noticed that our life lacked intimacy.

I drove to office.... jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind...I walked upstairs. Jane opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Jane, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Jane, I said, I won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of our lives, not because we didn't love each other anymore. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart.

Jane seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I'll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.

My wife had been fighting CANCER for months and I was so busy with Jane to even notice. She knew that she would die soon and she wanted to save me from the whatever negative reaction from our son, in case we push thru with the divorce.-- At least, in the eyes of our son--- I'm a loving husband....

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse's friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

If you don't share this, nothing will happen to you.

If you do, you just might save a marriage.

Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
