~ The interesting flying method of migratory birds ~

When birds are migrated one place to another, they are using an interesting formation to conserving energy and increase longevity of their flying time. They are using “v” formation when flying. Using this formation they can easily communicate with each other, every bird can have an unobstructed field of vision, allowing group members to see each other. Isn’t it a very interesting? Yes, it is.

A group of scientists found that the heartbeat were too low when birds are flying in a “v” formation which conserve their energy. Also this aerodynamic V shape reduces the air resistance and allowing the birds to cover the longer distance. Using this V shape a group of birds can fly 70% more advance than fly when single. We can not watch it but scientists are watching that after a certain time the head of the V position is changed with another bird. This is an interesting matter of team work. In this way they can reduce their tiredness when flying to a long distance. By doing this each birds can have opportunity to take responsibility. This proves that how team work plays an important role in nature that teaches us to be followed in our daily life.

This method is applying with a group of flying aircrafts. Using “v” formation each pilot can watch each other so it is easier to communicate and help all of them.

~ Ants – the most successful social insects in the world! ~

Ants are one of the most social insects in this world. They live together, work together, and fight with the enemy together to save their colony. They can also chat, share their experiences between each other! You will be amazed to know that ants are take care of their infants, buried the dead ants and they have also domestic pets to collect food as like human being who have cows to collect milk!

For these mentioned behaviors we can say that ants are the most successful social insects.

Even most of the religious holy books mentioned that the ants are the most intelligent species of this world. As for example;

In Holy Qur’an, it is stated in an Ayat that Hadhrat Sulayman (Alayhis salaam), with his hosts of Jinn, men and birds and they marched in arranged groups till they reached the Valley of Ants, then one of the ants said: ‘Oye ants, get into your habitations, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you (Under foot) without knowing it.” (Al-Qur’an 27:17-18).

According to the Holy Bible, the ants have a superior intelligence, which is almost second to man’s? As written in Proverbs 6:6-10: “Go to the ant, thou sluggard, consider her ways, and be wise; Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth, her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When will thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep.”

In recent times, research has shown us several facts about the lifestyle of ants, which were not known earlier to mankind. Research has shown that the animals or insects whose lifestyle is closest in resemblance of the lifestyle of human beings are the ants. This can be seen from the following findings regarding ants:

The ants bury their dead in a manner similar to the humans.
They have a sophisticated system of division of labour.
Once in a while they meet among themselves to have a ‘chat’.
They have an advanced method of communication among themselves.
They hold regular markets wherein they exchange goods.
They store grains for long periods in winter and if the grain begins to bud, they cutthe roots, If the grains stored by them get wet due to rains, they take these grains out into the sunlight to dry, and once these are dry, they take them back inside.

Another remarkable trait of ants is their industry. One can never see a sleeping ant. Have you seen one? That is why an ant is being used as a paragon of industry. Which is written into the holy Bible in Proverbs 6:6-10 (mentioned above).

So, Let us not be lazy; let us not be sluggards. It is not good to be one.

Crop circles are patterns created by the flattening of crops such as wheat, barley, rapeseed (also called "canola"), rye, corn, linseed and soy.

The term was first used by researcher Colin Andrews to describe simple circles he was researching. Although since 1990 the circles have evolved into complex geometries, the term "circle" has stuck. Various hypotheses have been offered to explain their formation, ranging from the naturalistic to the paranormal.

Naturalistic explanations include man-made hoaxes or geological anomalies, while paranormal explanations include formation by UFOs. Many circles are known to be man-made,[6][7][8] such as those created by Doug Bower, Dave Chorley, and John Lundberg,[9][6]
Bower and Chorley were awarded an Ig Nobel Prize in 1992 for their crop circle hoaxing.

Hubble Space Telescope

The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) is a space telescope that was carried into orbit by the Space Shuttle Discovery in April 1990. It is named after the American astronomer Edwin Hubble. Although not the first space telescope, the Hubble is one of the largest and most versatile, and is well-known as both a vital research tool and a public relations boon for astronomy. The HST is a collaboration between NASA and the European Space Agency, and is one of NASA's Great Observatories, along with the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory, the Chandra X-ray Observatory, and the Spitzer Space Telescope.[3]

Space telescopes were proposed as early as 1923. The Hubble was funded in the 1970s, with a proposed launch in 1983, but the project was beset by technical delays, budget problems, and the Challenger disaster. When finally launched in 1990, scientists found that the main mirror had been ground incorrectly, severely compromising the telescope's capabilities. However, after a servicing mission in 1993, the telescope was restored to its intended quality. Hubble's position outside the Earth's atmosphere allows it to take extremely sharp images with almost no background light. Hubble's Ultra Deep Field image, for instance, is the most detailed visible-light image ever made of the universe's most distant objects. Many Hubble observations have led to breakthroughs in astrophysics, such as accurately determining the rate of expansion of the universe.

The Hubble is the only telescope ever designed to be serviced in space by astronauts. To date, there have been four servicing missions. Servicing Mission 1 took place in December 1993 when Hubble's imaging flaw was corrected. Servicing missions 2, 3A, and 3B repaired various sub-systems and replaced many of the observing instruments with more modern and capable versions. However, following the 2003 Columbia Space Shuttle disaster, the fifth servicing mission was canceled on safety grounds. After spirited public discussion, NASA reconsidered this decision, and administrator Mike Griffin gave the green light for one final Hubble servicing mission. This was planned for October 2008, but in September 2008, another key component failed.[4] The servicing mission has been postponed until May 2009[5] to allow this unit to be replaced as well.

The planned repairs to the Hubble should allow the telescope to function until at least 2013, when its successor, the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), is due to be launched. The JWST will be far superior to Hubble for many astronomical research programs, but will only observe in infrared, so it would complement (not replace) Hubble's ability to observe in the visible and ultraviolet parts of the spectrum.

What is Stereogram?

A stereogram is an optical illusion of depth created from flat, two-dimensional image or images. Originally, stereogram referred to a pair of stereo images which could be viewed using stereoscope. Other types of stereograms include anaglyphs and autostereograms.Stereogram was discovered by Charles Wheatstone in 1838. He found an explanation of binocular vision which led him to construct a stereoscope based on a combination of prisms and mirrors to allow a person to see 3D images from two 2D pictures. [1]Stereograms were re-popularized by the creation of autostereogram on computers, where a 3D image is hidden in a single 2D image, until the viewer focuses the eyes correctly. The Magic Eye series is a popular example of this. Magic Eye books refer to autostereograms as stereograms, leading most people to believe that the word stereogram is synonymous to autostereogram.
