13 Million Americans Lose Health Insurance

2017-12-20T19:14:00.000-05:00

Just how big of an effect would a mandate repeal have? According to CBO, 13 million fewer people would be insured in 2027 compared with current law while Health Insurance premiums would spike by 10%. That’s because, without the policy “stick” of a mandate, healthier and wealthier Americans would likely drop out of Obamacare’s marketplaces, in turn making individual health insurance risk pools more costly by disproportionately leaving them with sicker Americans.

Obama Care Repealed

Today Donald Trump threw 13 Million Americans off Health Insurance and did not renew Health Insurance coverage for an additional 9 Million Children, Republicans say America cannot afford insurance coverage for these Kids.

CHIP Insurance Expires

Congressional leaders have repeatedly promised to provide funds for the popular Children's Health insurance program, but disagree over how to cover the cost. So Congress may provide short-term relief for states with the most urgent needs while negotiations continue between the President and congressional Republicans.

It’s not clear exactly how many children could lose coverage when their money runs out, the most informed guess is between 9-12 Million children. States are required by law to continue to cover children whose insurance is managed through their Medicaid programs until the end of 2019. Such children make up more than half of CHIP.

Is my Luggage Insured

Luggage Arrive Damaged

We always hope our Luggage arrive intact as we do weather on a domestic flight or international flight however our Luggage is one of the things we completely have no control over after check-in at the curb or at the Airline counter. Our Luggage are often on international flights checked to our destination, our travel time could sometimes be more than 24 hours or more. Change of planes are hard on the passenger but sometimes even harder on our Luggage. Our luggage are pulled, prodded thrown stacked to great heights which often result in damage, they are ripped torn tethered and often arrive at our destination unrecognizable.

Most Airline companies and travel companies at the time of purchasing Airline tickets prompt for travel Insurance. These travel insurance could add another $35 to $70 on the average ticket a sometime big added difference increasing the ticket cost outside what we intended to pay especially for some on a get away weekend trip.

The extra $41 or so spent on Travel insurance may be your best purchase as you prepare for travel, If your luggage arrive damage most Airlines have a customer service desk where you should immediately fill a complaint on your damaged luggage. Make sure you obtain a copy of the Baggage damage report, this report may your second best decision . Additionally if you purchased travel insurance some Airline companies may have an additional form for your insurance purpose.

Insurance on Airline Tickets

2017-10-28T20:10:00.000-04:00

Never travel without Insurance

For most people as the holiday approaches searching for the cheapest Airline tickets is a Major challenge, the prices of these tickets seem always to get most expensive just about when you start searching. One of the key always is never start searching until you are ready to purchase those tickets especially the entire family is travelling together and never forget Travel Insurance.

Expedia is my favorite place to shop for Airline tickets but never make you favorite place the only place you shop, always try to search for Ticket prices other places without giving to much personal information and make sure your intention is advanced rather than the Airline or travel company.

One major mistakes consumers overlook when purchasing Airline tickets is Travel Insurance and, we travel in cars everyday and our cars must have Insurance to be on the road and thats by Law. When we travel on airlines we are covered by insurance by our Credit card companies with some limitations but the most important insurance you need is the one offered by the your Travel Company for a fraction it may cost when there is Luggage damage a delay or not being to make your flight because of an emergency.

Making Charcoal from wood

Tree Trunk and Branches for Kiln

Recently I decided to plant a Pineapple grove on some of my land that was unused for some time. when I visited the land I noticed there were a number of opportunities available to me before I even started the business of planting pineapples.

There were Cedar Lumber trees Blue Mahoe and Spanish Elm or American Cedar ripe for Lumber, I struggled with the idea of having to cut these Trees because this would setback my initial plan to get the Pineapple plantation going. I consulted with a friend who advised me there were people who could cut the trees and get the Lumber the these trees would produce.

Trees felled as part of the land clearing

I was in Islington Portland in Jamaica and thought this would be a long drawn exercise however I met one of the guys who cut trees, he came to my land the following day Tuesday I showed him the trees I wanted cut. The gentleman who is known to me as "Lucky" said he would have the job done the following day Wednesday. I was somewhat apprehensive having been told over and over again how hard it was to get things done in Jamaica and how people are unreliable and we can no longer depend on people.

I went to Port Antonio that Wednesday morning the wood cutting was the furthest thing from my mind, I spent time taking care of business that I thought were most important. On my return home that evening I had one of the biggest surprises I have ever had or certainly in the top ten all time and that includes winning money when I needed it most,

288 Sq Ft of lumber from the felled Trees

In just about 3 days Lucky debunked the idea that people are no longer reliable in a single act reinforced the confidence that I always had in people, The fact that I paid him immediately for his work should go a far way to assure that work is rewarded. I write this and hope all who read it may share with at least one friend because in that 3 week period my greatest lesson was never give up on people while not disregarding council and advice from others your experience become your best advice, Thanks Lucky!

Racism Bigotry or Taking back America!

2016-11-18T17:22:00.001-05:00

Winnifred Beach holiday

I thought over the years America moved forward out of darkness and embraced multiculturalism then Barack Obama became President and America became afraid and thought they had lost the nation to a black people.

The Tea Party was born assisted by Donald Trump and the Bertha movement they began to de-legitimize the Presidency of Barack Obama. After taking the country to recovery from the worst recession with 15 million Jobs created and 5% unemployment.

"Taking back America" and "make America Great Again" were the call to arms for election 2016. Really! America has always Great and America has always been here!, You will only know this if you disavow Racism really believe in the Promise of America!

Why did Hillary Clinton Lose the General Election 2016?

2016-11-16T11:25:00.000-05:00

Hillary Clinton

When the fact that Bill clinton negotiated with Republicans and signed the Crime Bill 3 strikes you're out knowing its ultimate consequences on the Black community that devastated the support for Hillary Clinton.

Secondly Donald Trump's message "what do you have to lose" broke through to many in the black community it really rang Peoples Bell. Bernie Sanders campaign damaged Clinton's image with young people and when Nina Turner who was hard on Hillary and supported Saunders did not come around to endorse Clinton that sent a terrible message especially to the Minority community.

Hillary looked old and of the past people in America HATED especially WOMEN. One thing I that agreed with by the end of the campaign, the Clintons thought the rules for them is different than anyone else.

Deficits does not Matter,

2016-11-12T09:47:00.000-05:00

Massive Conservative Deficit Spending is Back

This morning I understand House Speaker Paul Ryan and Majority leader in the Senate Mitch McConnell while sabotaging and slowing down the economy under President Barack Obama claiming the deficit at $19 Trillion Dollars was a burden to future generations suddenly does not believe that anymore.

Both honourable men Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell like all republican administration do have decided DEFICITS does not matter now that a Republican is in the White House. The House and Senate leadership have decided to Add SEVEN TRILLION DOLLARS TO THE NATION'S DEFICIT by way of infrastructure spending and TAX CUT FOR THE RICH AND CORPORATIONS under the Donald Trump administration.

Under this plan there the only mention of the MIDDLE CLASS is they have proposed that the mortgage interest deductions that home owners now get when you file taxes will go away in other words TAXES will be INCREASED on the middle class. By year 2020 our budget deficit based on the early projections will be at $31TRILLION DOLLARS.

The good news is today 11/12/2016 every American who want a Job can have one despite Republican Obstruction on the Obama Administration the Job Market is the tightest it has been since the Bill Clinton Administration.

Donald Trump is taking over an economy that has produced almost 16 Million Jobs in the past 8years and could have been 20 million Jobs if Republicans did not obstruct the outgoing administration. Wall street is at its best ever on record despite Republicans claiming being strangled by regulations, those on wall street privately welcome the the tighter monetary policy that brought some discipline to the market.

"Republicans are the dumbest group of voters"- Donald Trump.

2016-11-11T07:13:00.001-05:00

Means to an end

I have posted this many times but after yesterday's admission by Donald Trump that President Barack Obama is a good and decent man I want to remind some my friends what Donald Trump think of them. "Republicans are the dumbest group of voters in this country, I could lie and they'd still eat it up". The only good news in all this mess Donald Trump is not a Republican the Republican Party was a means to a personal end.

A Permanently Divided Nation?

2016-11-10T08:36:00.000-05:00

This morning I listened to women Journalist on CNN giving excuses why women didn't vote for Hillary Clinton the conversation was pathetic and beneath the values of everything I teach my children and the values I hope they would pass on to my grandchildren.

Donald Trump during this Election Campaign displayed the worst in human behavior and brought out the worst in America. Donald Trump was classless in this campaign and therefore divided the nation to a point of disrepair.

Donald Trump's words are no longer words spoken 10yrs ago on a hidden microphone, my 12yr old grand daughter saw Donald Trump on Television degrading and demeaning Carly Fiorina mocking the disabled, disrespecting John McCain who captured while in service in war, telling a Mexican Judge because of his race because of his race he cannot be fair and demeaning black people and and where they live. This is what the American people accepted as normal behavior for someone aspiring to be President of the united States and in fact did vote for Donald Trump. Donald Trump apologised for his Lewd Language on that infamous bus but there are those of us as Parents and grandparents cannot avoid the FLAWED person America now call President elect.

In reaching this plateau and now on path to holding the highest office in the land and the most Powerful man in world Donald Trump brought America's prestige to the ground and may have Permanently divided this Nation.

Corruption - Donald Trump gave Pam Bondi $25.000.00

2016-09-17T13:16:00.000-04:00

Donald Trump Republican Presidential Candidate

The most investigated public figure in the history of America Hillary Clinton has never been charged with a crime, there is no comparison to her lifetime of work as a Public Figure. Prior to college during and after college her life work has always been about finding solutions and pulling especially people with less opportunity forward and giving them a chance.

Americans will turn a blind eye to admitted CORRUPT individuals like Donald Trump who said, "I give money to Politicians and when I want a favor I call and they deliver". Donald Trump gave Pam Bondi Florida Attorney General a POLITICIAN ($25,000) allegedly in order not to bring a suit against him in the TRUMP UNIVERSITY CASE is not only PAY TO PLAY but possibly BRIBERY.

Pam Bondi Florida Attorney General

In the past this charge alone unless proven otherwise would disqualify the chances of someone running for President but that was when republicans had strong moral ideals. This is the moral that Republicans in America now support open CORRUPTION AND BRIBERY in Government. For the first time in modern history Donald Trump running for President the highest office in the United States is being given a pass on not declaring his Income Taxes. What is Donald Trump hiding from the American people?. The best thing that we as Americans can leave to our children is good moral standards. If Donald Trump were to be elected President of the United States based on the current standard of examination of Mr Trump, America can never look our children in the face with expectation we would have thrown those out with Donald Trump the most ADMITTEDLY CORRUPT BUSINESSMAN we have come to know.

Why Donald Trump will Lose the Black Vote!

Donald Trump in Detroit Black Church

After 14 months of campaign and Donald J. Trump believing you could win the Election without Black people support , suddenly reality strike it doesn't work that way. Black people and other minorities votes matter, a visit to Mexico and you swaying like a fool in a Detroit Black Church does not do it Mr Trump.

We still remember those (c) on black applicants for your Apartments, No apology for disrespecting the first Black President on his birth certificate, we are not uneducated as you suggest, to characterize us that we still live slums and cannot walk on our streets without getting SHOT is remarkably disrespectful.

Mr Trump you should not have come at all, your coming has only unearth the the bitterness you have spewed about black people while speaking to LILLY WHITE AUDIENCES all over the country. Mr Trump we know you have Lied your way to the Presidential Nomination without Policy.

Remember you got here pandering to who you said are "uneducated Blue collar Republicans" some Black people may be blue collar but we are not uneducated. Barack Obama is President of the United States of America Justice Clarence Thomas is on the Us Supreme Court, Loretta E. Lynch is Attorney General and Colin Powell was the first Black man to hold the offices of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs US Military and secretary of State. Donald Trump we are Black and Proud , you will be Lucky to get 0.01000% of Black people vote.

Jamaica Poised for Economic Growth - Portland in Focus

2016-06-23T12:56:00.001-04:00

Jamaica's Economic Team

Obstacles to Jamaica’s growth and job creation are numerous and severe. In order for Jamaica's economy to grow the Government must address crime, the cost and availability of credit, tax compliance costs, unreliable and expensive electricity, and a large informal economy. The large size of the public sector has also stifled private sector dynamism and places too much emphasis on government as the engine of growth and employment.

For the first time in many years latest assessment of the Jamaican economy, it is projecting economic growth at 1.7 per cent this fiscal year and that the government will therefore need to implement bold structural reforms to unleash the island’s potential.

Portland Parish Jamaica

Some areas of the Jamaican Economy poised for immediate growth includes Tourism, technology and renewable energy. The Parish of Portland with unexposed tourist attractions and its natural beauty with some private sector investment could see up to 3% growth in the next 2 years. Hindrance to unleashing the parishes potential growth includes poor condition of infrastructure including its main roads and arterial roads all across Eastern Portland, existing unpaired damages to the Blue Lagoon Bar, Restaurant and gift shop, the inaccessibility to Nonsuch Caves, poor conditions of access roads to winnifred Beach and non-existent public facilities.

These are just some of the existing opportunities in Portland the fact is some infrastructure does exist around these public facilities but are run down because of neglect. Some of Jamaicas most beautiful beaches, villas, beach villas and B&B including the Tropical Lagoon Resort overlooking the Blue Lagoon.
