During the day I started to develop a fever. Nothing tasted nice, I couldn't eat, just had tea.

When I got home, I took my temperature and it was extremely high. Went to chemist, got some meds and was in bed early. 

Next day woke up with high temperature, decided to go to doc. Doc told me the high

I maintained at 197,12 pounds. I am thinking of lowering my calorie intake to 1800 just to see if I can't give my weightloss a bit of a boost.

I have had a better weekend that I usually have. Will have to see what the scale's verdict is tomorrow when I have to weigh-in.

Instead of trying to list my daily intake for the last couple of days that I have had internet issues, I will just list my goals and my progress/lack of it.

Exercise twice a week for 20 minutes - OUTSTANDING!

Even though I think my calorie target of 2,000 is high (as set by calorieking), I think it is a good place to start. If I can manage to reduce my calories consistently to under 2,000 and still lose weight - why not! It is much better than before when I used to eat at least for 2,500 - 3,000 calories a day. If I find that I stop losing I will have to

CK set my calorie target at 2,000 and it was not difficult to stay within that limit. I might reduce it if I don't see results.

My meals for the day:

Breakfast: weetabix with skim milk
Morning snack: 5 apricots
Lunch: low Gi bread with left-over roast lamb with mayonnaise
Afternoon snack: apple
Supper: left-over roast lamb with pumpkin, corn bread and salad

I think the software is good value at $45 and I did initially think the $49 per year for the online site was expensive, but now that I am working through the different tools on offer I can see the value of the site compared to the software.

Supper: toasted tuna mayo sandwich with salad and sweetcorn 
Evening snack: small piece of peanut brittle and one nougat candy
I must be totally honest - muffins are so tasty, but calorie-wise just not worth it.

By the time I left work, I had only eaten for 600 calories. So, my thinking was another 800 for the night was plenty!

Hmmm.... it would've been if I didn't give in to a craving of mine - Indian samoosas with a glass of milk on the side.

I went to the gym, had a very nice workout. I almost didn't go, was thinking of so many excuses not to go, but in the end I was glad I did. Did my 20 minutes on the treadmill - burned 125 calories. Was running too for about 8 minutes. 

Food-wise it also went reasonably well.

This past weekend I used the extra time I had on my hands to think about my way forward. I have tried so many diets and plans during 2009 with very little success that I have to make some changes. I think things became to complicated. 

So, for 2010 I want to keep things simple....

My goals for January 2010:

Exercise twice a week - that's all. 
Eat my 3 main meals and

I went to the gym over my lunch hour and had a lovely workout on the treadmill. I even ran (not jog) for about 10 minutes. It felt great!!! I didn't expect it, but I love running:-) Especially with some nice music to help things along - the 20 minutes passes so quick;-)

And yet when I was sitting at work, just surfing I made loads of excuses - PMS cramps were killing me, etc. Finally I thought to myself - I could spend an hour at the gym and feel great afterwards or I could sit at work and feel tired at the end of lunch.
So, I dragged myself to the gym.

I ate completely off-plan. Friday was still ok, had some potato chips in the evening. Saturday was a disaster - no regular meals, went to the movies, had popcorn and chocolate, etc. And McDonalds to top it off.

Sunday was a bit better. Had breakfast and supper and snacked in-between.

I made sure my gym bag was in the car - I really felt great and had such a lot of energy.

I downloaded some songs to make sure I have energetic music to keep me going in the gym and off I went!

I had such a great workout. I did 20 minutes on the treadmill - HIIT workout. I ran - actually ran - for about 8 of the 20 minutes. It felt AWESOME!
