NerdBux, the BEST PTC of 2013

NerdBux is one of the newest PTC (Paid-To-Click) around. It is created by TimTech LLC, which has created numerous other advertising websites. TimTech LLC has never missed a single payout through 11 years which proves it's reliability!

Payout
NerdBux has a payout rate of up to $0.02 per click and on average, there are 80 advertisements a day!

Upgrade
You can also upgrade to increase your earnings! Currently, NerdBux only has a upgrade available, which is 'The Nerdiest Upgrade'. It costs only $50/year. With the upgrade, you get 100% of your referral earnings, instead of the usual 50%.

Rent Referrals
There is <strike>no limit</strike> to the number of referrals you can rent, however it does depend on the availability of referrals to rent. There's a recent change in policy that standard members can only rent up to 100 referrals. However, reassure that these referrals will be quality referrals as Tim Tech LLC has taken measures to ensure that they are active. Each referral costs $0.20. There will be free referral recycle after 2 weeks, but if you wish to recycle before 2 weeks, it costs $0.01 for Standard and $0.05 Upgraded.

Nerd Grid
Nerd Grid is a feature NerdBux introduced to help increase its users earnings! You can win up to $2.00! It is a 20x28 grid, where everywhere position is a possibility of making more money. I earn an additional $0.10 from Nerd Grid everyday!

Cashout
The minimum cashout is $4.00 for Standard and $2.00 for Upgraded.

Hurry, don't miss out on this opportunity! Join NerdBux for FREE!
RSS is a type of web feed used to publish frequently updated content and is especially useful for bloggers. Your readers can use a wide variety of feed readers to subscribe to your RSS feed.

Both you and your readers will benefit from it. Firstly, your readers need not check your blog daily to see if there are new entries. If they have subscribed to your feed, the reader which they used will notify them of the new entry. And you will not need to worry that your readers will miss out on anything. However, RSS feeds are not updated regularly. So, you may need to check if the latest feed is the latest entry of the blog.

It will be nice to check out the blog occasionally and support the blog's sponsors. Some bloggers provide full feed while some don't. I provide full feed for my readers. Most readers like full feeds as they will be able to read directly from their feed readers.

You can try experimenting with full and partial feed and see which works for you. Partial feeds might increase your blog's traffic as your readers need to access your blog to read the entire entry. If you are looking for something to manage your feed, try FeedBurner. It is free to use and is user-friendly.

How has RSS feeds work for you? And do you provide a full or partial feed?

It also allows bloggers to interact with their readers.

There are a few ways to make use FaceBook. FaceBook badges is an add-on to your blog which allows your readers to easily view your profile. One other way is to use bookmarking websites like AddThis, ShareThis, etc. It is a simple button like the one at the top of this post. It allows your readers to bookmark your post or your blog with just a click.

Also, make the buttons as visible as possible. Your readers will not want to look through your entire page to find the button. You may make it as big as your palm. But do make it blend with your blog's design. It is not wise to forgo your professional-looking design to add the bookmark button. Both the button and your blog's design are equally important.

There are many ways - those that require you to spend and some that don't. Most will choose not to spend a dime, especially when you've just started blogging.

Here is a tip to help you leave an impression on others and yet not spend anything! All that you need to do is to stay active on blogs that are of similar niche as yours. When you leave a valuable comment on someone's blog, that person will return a favor by checking out your blog. This will not take up too much of your time and at the same time, you will get to learn what to do and don't. Also, leaving a comment with your blog's link creates a backlink. This will help improve your pagerank and is a bonus for simply interacting with other bloggers.

Every bloggers hate spamming, including yourself. So, don't spam and leave comments about your views after reading their post. It will be beneficial for both parties.

Do leave a comment here too. Share your views and create a community of interactive bloggers.

Are you blogging to earn some earn money? Or blogging for fun.

If you are the former, you can start placing advertisements any time, even when you've just started. But remember - DO NOT fill your entire blog with advertisements. You will need a combination of good content and some advertisements. Quantity does not give you better results than quality. And I mean placing your advertisements at suitable and advisable places on your blog.

Most bloggers place advertisements at the top sidebars and amongst posts. Those are great spots. It is hard to miss out those spots when browsing through your blog. You need to choose the right type of advertising to optimize your earning potential.

Ad Spot #1 - Top Banner
Ad Spot #2 - Side bar
Ad Spot #3 - Within post

There are different types of advertising. Most bloggers go for advertisement networks, which only require you to add a code given by the network to your blog.

I have recommended different methods to earn money like affiliate marketing and becoming a publisher in advertisement networks. I have also taught how to make those methods work by providing quality content and generating traffic to you blog.

These are simple tips to follow and it takes less than an hour to digest them

If you are blogging for fun, you may choose to register in advertisement networks that pays for impression. Place the ads in your sidebar which usually does not irritates your readers. You might even make enough to get your own personal domain! Give it a try for a month or so. If you are doing well, why not carry on?
A blogger has a flexible working time. You do not need to blog everyday. Simply do the usual stuff and blog whenever you've got something to share.

If you are neglecting your family or spending too much time on blogging, stop doing it and change the way you blog. Although blogging is a job to full-time bloggers, they don't usually spend everyday trying to cramp up with something to blog about. Let everything come naturally and you will be able to provide good content. Don't force yourself to come up with something to blog.

Most importantly, you need to enjoy when blogging. And during your free time, check out other blogs for inspiration and learn new stuff at the same time!

Keep blogging and stay focus!

My advice - start using now and appropriately. Pictures make your post more appealing. It can also cut down on your words. If you are explaining something, show your readers a picture with minimal words and you will be able to get your message out to them.

In my previous post, I've shown a picture to guide my readers along. Even without reading the post, they should be able to get the message.

Also, you need to use images without infringing any copyrights. Do credit if the image belongs to someone else. If possible, use images of your own.

Insert the html code: img src
All you need is the code above to display your image in your post. You will need a more complicated code if you want to align your pictures.

Share your views and tips to insert pictures here.

The answer - no. There is no specific time to start. And it will never be too late to start. Although it doesn't matter when you start, you will be at a slight advantage over those who start later.

By starting earlier, your blog would have large 'database of information'. Your blog would have a better ranking compared to those who start late. This makes your blog much easier to find with the right keywords. You would have more readers and one of your readers might be the one starting to blog.

And if you are starting now, you may get some help from the pioneers and learn from their mistakes. This gives you a head start. Introduce your blog on the pioneers' blogs by leaving a link when commenting. Learn the basics of blogging and all that you should know to get started - "How To Set Up A Blog".
It is important to have people visiting your blog. They will become your readers. It is impossible to make money without traffic. There are many ways to generate traffic. But generating traffic isn't all. You will need targeted traffic. These are the people who are interested in your topic. These people will most probably stay on your blog and read your contents. That is what you want.

Participate actively in forums and promote your blog to the users. Some might or some might not be interested. Check out other similar blogs and leave comments in their entries. Don't spam. Most bloggers allow other bloggers to leave links to their blog in comments. This not only generate traffic to your blog, it also creates backlinks. Search engines love this too, especially when the blog is of a higher page rank than yours.

Try out these methods. You will not see the results within a day. But over time, you will notice a few are coming from forums and blogs which you have left your blog link in.

As a blogger, you need to provide content for your readers. These contents help to build up your blog by making it a directory of information for people to look through. Initially, you may have little or no reader for your blog. Don't be dishearten. Everyone start out this way but it will not always stay this way if you are able to provide plenty of content for people.

Be consistent in providing content. If the entry is short, you can post it once a day. If it is long, do not post it too regularly as it will be too taxing for your readers. You will also need to provide quality content to get your readers come back for more. Search engines love quality content too. It will boost your page ranking in search engine.

There are also other methods of driving traffic to your blog. I will teach you how to generate traffic with other methods in the next post. Stay tune.

Affiliate websites are a platform which sellers use to sell their products. People who promotes their products and create a sale will earn a commission from these sellers. Affiliate programs are a great way to monetize a blog as bloggers can promote any products, preferably a product that is related to field, on their blogs.

Bloggers may also recommend products that are a must-buy. Be truthful. Give a brief idea of what the product is about and why is it beneficial for your readers to get it. This will be hard in the beginning. You may generate little or no sale. But never give up. Over time, you will gain the trust of your readers.

Darren Rowse, creator of ProBlogger, is one who you can learn from. He had done well in affiliate programs. He had written a book titled 31 Days To Build A Better Blog. The link will bring you to Darren's blog where he will tell you more about his book.

There are several affiliate programs you can choose from.
LinkShare, ClickBank, Comission Junction, E-junkie and Amazon

Search through the products available after signing up. Promote products that are popular to increase your chance of a sale.

There are a few ways to monetize a blog. But allow me to start with the use of ad network. Ad network provides a platform for advertisers to advertisement on publishers' websites. Register as a publisher in these ad networks and you will be given a code which you are to place in your blog. Some ad networks have criteria, like having a minimum number of pageview per month, before you can join. These ad networks usually pay more. There are different methods in which ad network pays publishers - CPM, click-through or CPA. I recommend bloggers with high pageview but low click-through to look for ad networks that have high payout for CPM.

Here are some ad networks which you can consider.
AdBrite, ValueClick, Casale Media, Burst Media, Tribal Fusion, Advertising

This method is one of the easiest method of monetizing. Many bloggers have done it and have earn money from it. In the next post, I will be sharing how you can monetize with affiliate programs. Stay tuned.
In this and upcoming posts, I will give you tips to making money with your blog. It will be a series of post, so stay tuned.

Monetizing a blog seems easy and I've seen people cramping all sorts of affiliate links and ad networks in a page. You (might) get money from it but it will not sustain.

3 reasons that makes monetizing difficult:

1. You need a traffic in order to earn money. Affiliate programs and ad networks pays only when the website has generated a purchase through the affiliate link, click-through or impression. If a website is full of advertisement but no content, Google has no reason to include it in their search engines. Web crawlers will avoid such pages. As a result, the website will be unknown and thus, no traffic.

2. A blogger needs to gain the trust of his/her readers. When a blogger promotes or writes a review for a product, the readers may or may not believe him. Whatever he said might not be true in the eyes of the readers even if the blogger is right. And when readers do not trust a blogger, the chances of them purchasing something which they recommend is extremely low.

3. Advertisements have to be related to the blog content. An advertisement about mp3 will not convert in a blog about books. Don't be lazy. Search hard for a related advertiser and you will definitely benefit from it.

Being successful in blogging does not happen in a day, a week nor a month. It is like a business. Blogging requires time and effort. So, it is important to choose something that is of your interest. Give it your best and never give up.

Titles will give your readers a brief summary of your content. When your title incite the interest of your readers, they will continue to read your content. Thus, it is important to have a good title.

But how do you give your content a good title?

1. Keep your title short. Make it easy for your readers to read the title.

2. Use keywords. These keywords will help in SEO and it helps give a better understanding of your post.

3. Capture your readers attention. This is difficult and takes time before you can master it. One way to learn how to capture a reader attention is by reading other blogs. Check out the titles and see which catches your attention. Those words may work to capture your readers attention.

Like every other things, giving a good and effective title to your content isn't easy. It requires lots of practice. I am also not able to come up with good titles. Even simple titles like those that I came up with took me some time.
Finding all these things are not possible without search engines. Imagine searching for something without it... You might even spend the whole day but find nothing. Now that we know the importance and how reliant we are on search engines, there is one other thing that you should know. That is how search engines work.

If you have ever tried finding out, you will come across the words "mathematical algorithms". Those words would immediately kill our interest. But it is good to at least know the basics of how search engines work. This will help in Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

There are three components to search engine - crawling, indexing, ranking.

1. Crawling
You should have come across this word quite frequently. Web crawlers or "spiders" are codes that search engines like Google uses to get information from the internet. It scans through the page and continues crawling from pages to pages. However, it doesn't stop there. It occasionally returns to pages it had went to and checks for any updates made to the page. This gives blogs a slight advantage over websites. Blogs are regularly updated with new contents and thus, web crawlers love them. Although web crawlers may seem intelligent, at times, it might have problem reading through you content. Keeping your content simple makes it easier for your readers to read but also easier for web crawlers to scan through.

2. Indexing
After scanning through your page, web crawlers store the information in a huge data base. This allows for future reference for both web crawlers and searchers. It also rates the relevance of various contents to keywords used.

3. Ranking
This is where the "mathematical algorithms" come into play. Criteria are set to determine the rank of search results. This is equally important as being ahead of your competitors will give you a slight advantage. Searchers will view your blog first instead of your competitors. And if your blog provides all the relevant information they require or seek, they will most probably not look for another website. Then it will be up to you on how you are going to turn this person into your regular reader.

I have summarized the basics of the way search engines work. This helps you better understand search engines and how to make use of them. Search engines are able to make wonders. By making full use of it, you will not only bring in traffic, but also targeted traffic.
Whatever you post on your blog are the types of readers you will get. For example, you post something like "How To Make Money Online". Ever since the internet has become part of lives, people usually communicate on the internet. Although it isn't something bad, but we are losing out on something. Its different to communicate with someone in person. You get to see the person's expression, hear the tone of his/her voice and even tell the mood of that person.

Communication is also important when it comes to internet marketing. And for bloggers, you need to stay in contact with your readers. Interact with them and get them to stay active on your blog. One of the easiest ways to do so is to enable comments. Allow your readers to comment on your post with no restrictions, meaning that they can post anything except for spamming. People love it when they are not tied down to something. So, give your readers their freedom. Competitions can, too, interact with your readers and might even bring in more. I will be putting up competitions in the future too. Definitely there will be prizes to be won but I have yet to think of the prizes. You may give some ideas by leaving comments. I greatly appreciate it.

Don't lose something that we are good at. Communication help forge bonds between people. Do your best not to neglect your friends and family because of work. You need a break in order to perform better. Stay healthy and stay with Bloggitudes.
According to TIMES magazine, Facebook has about half a billion of active users. People not only register to Facebook but they also visit Facebook regularly. Facebook is co-founded by Mark Zuckerberg, who is a billionaire at the age of 26. Facebook is only 6 years old and is continuing to grow everyday.

So, why market on Facebook?

The 500 million users all have one thing in common, and it is that they are not afraid to share. Anyone is able to view their profile but whatever you see is what the user is willing to share. After being his/her friend, you have access to everything. By marketing your product on Facebook, you have 500 million potential customers, supposing that you allow the users view your profile. Facebook users spend at least half an hour on Facebook and there is a chance in which they might come across your product. They may or may not become your customer on that day. But over time, they will be. Also, your product is not limited to the 500 million users on Facebook. The users might share it with their friends or relatives who are not Facebook users about your product, like how they share things on their 'wall'. Give it a try! Facebook is free to join and you can start as soon as you register.

There are also many other social networking websites which are great places to market. Twitter (20 million users), MySpace (42 million users), LinkedIn (14 million users) and PeopleString which is a different kind of social network. PeopleString is special as it shares its monthly ad revenue with its user. I will talk more about PeopleString in the next post. These social networking websites are free to join, making advertising of your product free!

Bloggitudes will be integrating ShareThis widget to allow readers to share the content with anyone you know. Keep a look out for latest updates. Subscribe to Bloggitudes.
