For Facebook I try to make a Facebook fans. I think Facebook page is more effective to promote blog than Facebook group. I see groups on Facebook not well enough; people join and then leave it. They can’t saw your update on home wall so they not give responses.

Recommendation: Better to ‘Use Better’ than Just Choose ‘the One’

I think both of twitter and facebook are effective in their own way. The best way to promote your blog via twitter and facebook is integrate your twitter account to tweet your new post to facebook via facebook tools. Previously I use RSS Gravity.

Now I am going to try to use Selective Twitter Status App. You can add selective tweet update to facebook fans by Add Selective Twitter Status to your Page. With this app not all of your tweet status post will update your facebook fans. You may reply your follower on Twitter and that will be worse to let it update on Facebook wall. This app allows you to update facebook with selective Twitter status. You just need to close your twitter status with #fb tag.

With this method you can update your Twitter status and facebook on one time. It’s really help. So you can benefit from twitter ‘wider reachable’ and facebook ‘more controllable’ social media campaign.

One of very important think on internet and build a website is how to communicate with user. It’s very important to know how to send the right message to your user. This is the key factor, if you don’t know how to handle it you will love your visitor, they will go to another website.

Communication is great ways to build differences with another blog. Your way to communicate with your visitor is your uniqueness. Be different is mean using your own way to communicate with your visitor.

The reason I write about this topic is my interest about text used on many blog. I am writing about wordpress themes too, so I learn that great layout and design may influence your blog readability. Like how you put feed subscriber form and social media icon. The question is: ‘is that enough to just put the icon?’

I think you must be known that there is new internet user out there that does not really know about the icon function. In this case, using text to drive user to take an action is more effective than use the icon.

So the way you provide information to your visitor is important. Try and evaluating yours is nice step to see how the things working.

Action and reason

I see around on make money online and small business blog there are many blog and website owner seem not really understand how to motivate their user to take an action. They put many icons, or ‘click here’ text. Its just look like you assume that your visitor really don’t understand about link. And also this method is not really good for your search engine optimization.

The great blog and website design is including set your site to help your visitor know what to click and not to click when they read your posts or page. But beyond that you need to understand that reader or visitor will send to right place when their click your link. Its mean that you, the blog owner deeply understand about what you write.

The most frustrating things on internet are lost to some website that you don’t really want to open. This is the vital mistakes. And saw it on many blogs and website. Just for your consideration: you would not get the advantage by trapping your visitor to comes to sales pages that do not give relevant information their looking for.

It’s important to give a clear reason to your visitor to take an action and important to you to give what their need. It’s clear that you need three things to provide on your blog:

1. Useful content (information) that people want to read
2. Relevant posts, page or website you linking
3. Clear reason for visitor to take an action
4. Best way to call the action

What you can get from making effective call to action?

Search engine advantage for relevant keyword linking to your internal website or blog. You will also getting trust from your visitor cause their not going to lost on internet crowd and get information that their looking for.

Make your link stand out

I have mention about this. You can use icon, form and text or both of them on your blog posts. The ways to make it work is makes your link stand out. Some people recommend you to use large icon to call an action or something like that. On my opinion when you using text you need to use different color or give them attribute link bold or using underline when their hover.

Using large icon is not always working, especially when you not put it on the right place. It will even worse when you just put a large icon on posts that not giving great information anymore. Call an action text, form, or icon just will work when they are placed in useful content.

Conclusion

One parameter to see that your blog or website working is the way you communicate with your visitor. The result of great communication is an action it can be fill the subscriber form, clicking the link, leave some feedback or buy some product. You can use text and icon or both of them. To make it working you need to provide great content and give them clear reason to take an action.

Recommendation

Research your content and link. Trial and error is nice if you keep working to make an improvement. Once you get great result repeat it. Successful blogging is about repeat things that working while you continue finds a better way.
