Although I have not followed this story in any detail, I am surprised by how few have commented on Mrs. Houston's struggle with alcohol and drugs. It is not surprising that she was found dead and that drugs likely played a part. This ought to be yet another reminder that it is the goal of sin to kill.

We read books, listen to sermons, and seek to be good Christians, but all away from a firm grip on theology. To most theology is boring, time consuming, unnecessary, and only for the educated and those stuck in ivory towers. No wonder we're in a mess.

But there is hope.

As the title suggests, it is an onslaught against religion and I couldn't embrace his message more.  Religion is a curse. A perfumed idolatry that is wicked and is antithetical to the gospel.
