Here at figleaves HQ we’ve been learning about Fit Skin since partnering with luxury skincare brand Mama Mio. As well as trying out their products, a few of the girls have taken the Fit Skin Test.

An interview with sportswear brand Ronhill

Want to get to know sportswear brand Ronhill a little bit better? Want to know the inspiration behind such a successful product range, fit for marathon runners? Well we’ve asked for inside info from the brand including the latest product technologies, what makes Ronhill a stand out brand and what to expect from their Spring 2013 collection.

Can you give us a brief overview of Ronhill the brand?

Ronhill is the UK's leading British running brand established by GB's running legend Ron Hill in 1970. Ron Hill won Commonwealth Games gold and was the first Briton to win the Boston Marathon in (2hours 9mins 28secs). Ron has run every day since Dec 1964 – over 47 years!

The Ronhill brand is built on a philosophy of designing and producing technical performance clothing to aid a better running experience for the runner.

Can you give us a sneak peek into what’s coming for Spring Summer 2013?

We have some really exciting products, colour options and new designs coming for Spring 2013. Our off-road Trail collection has some really neat updates and we are working hard to deliver a range of products that cross over from road to off-road; as we know many runners are training during the week, sometime in their lunch breaks, to do races and events at weekends. Look out for our new Twin Short - a really gorgeous piece of kit.

For Autumn Winter 2012 we’re excited to introduce the latest lingerie inspired by the catwalk. This season’s hottest trends include vintage shapes, boudoir lace, animal prints and neons.
Starting with neons, we’ll introduce you to each trend, our favourite trend inspired pieces and how to wear them.

Neon Lingerie

Neon - traditionally a fashion favourite saved for summer is bigger and brighter than ever this Autumn with fluorescent clothing and accessories all over the catwalks. Supported by celebs such as Cheryl Cole, Katy Perry and Eva Longoria on the red carpet, neon shades are a September must-have.

From hot pink and citron yellow to lime green and tangerine, the fashion world is going neon crazy and lingerie is no exception. The Launch of Autumn Winter 2012

Be inspired this Autumn by our beautiful new imagery shot in the heart of the Norfolk coutryside. Set amongst strawberry fields and farm buildings, the quirky venue, Cliff Barns set the tone for our new season shoot. Designer Shaun Clarkson, of Atlantic, Pop and Denim bar fame, has created a unique interior style mixing Hacienda and American cowboy influences. Taxidermy, tartan and saddles were the setting for what proved to be an interesting shoot.

Day two saw our beautiful model Geraldine explore the secret gardens of Narborough Hall. Our Autumn knitwear came to life as she wandered through the woods and river paths. The cable knit poncho and cashmere skirt were team favourites, looking amazing against the dramatic backdrop.

Yesterday saw the press launch of Eveden’s Autumn Winter 2012 collections so obviously us girls couldn’t wait to get there. Upon arrival with a mocktail in hand, we wondered around the glamorous venue, Swarovski Crystallized Cafe, to peruse the must-have new season lingerie, swimwear and nightwear styles from the Eveden brands.

Eveden is the lingerie house for figleaves favourites, Freya, Fantasie, Elomi and Huit and their Autumn collections leave no room for disappointment. The Autumn update focuses on retro shapes (the must-have longline), pretty, on-trend prints and new colours. The collections still focus on the perfect fit and a lot of your favourite shapes still exist but with an irresistible update.

Bridal hair and makeup tips with figleaves makeup artist, Meherun

From choosing a gorgeous venue to finding THE dress, we know just how important it is for every bride to feel their best on the big day so we’ve had a chat with our hair and makeup artist, Meherun to bring you a few hints and tips!

Meherun has years of experience and has worked with celebrities including Rihanna, Alesha Dixon and Taio Cruz.

It isn’t always possible to have a makeup artist for your wedding day, so what would your top tips for brides doing their own hair and makeup?

Bridal makeup should not be harsh or out of character, make sure you blend your makeup very well to prevent harshness and lines. Keep the look natural but beautiful and always enhance your best features! It’s worth purchasing new makeup brushes and new products for the big day. Don’t forget you can always ask a professional at your local department store for advice on skin tones, colours and the best way to achieve your chosen look.

Make sure you do your makeup in natural light.

What can you do in the run up to your wedding to ensure your hair and skin are looking their best?

The lead up to your wedding is normally a very stressful time so it’s best to prepare as much as you can as stress can take a big affect on hair and skin.

• Make sure you that everyday you drink plenty of water, cleanse, tone and moisturise!

• If you are having any facials this should be done at least 7 – 10 days prior to your wedding date allowing the skin to recover from any breakouts

• Get a good haircut 4 – 6 weeks prior to allow the hair to settle into itself

• Try not to apply too much heat to your hair, straightners etc will promote broken and dry hair

• Use hair masks or cut costs and apply olive or almond oil to your hair, leave for one hour and wash out.

Is there anything you should avoid doing in the run up to your wedding?

Drinking too much alcohol! Yes, I know, we all love a drink but it dehydrates your skin and just causes a tired look overall so try and give your body a break…for a while at least!

Are there any bridal hair and makeup trends for this summer?

I wouldn’t say there is a particular trend when it comes to bridal makeup. Personally I think bridal makeup should be kept soft and beautifu. TOP TIP: Bring out the eyes by using natural strip lashes or individual lash inserts

Bridal hair is normally more creative, it all depends what suits your dress and overall look. Tiaras add extra bling and glamour to your look.

What are you top 3 must-have products for a bride?

• Good makeup brushes made with natural hair, synthetic are to harsh on the skin.

• Max Factor Mascara is a must-have staple of mine.

• Lip balm for gorgeous healthy lips.
