The OTHER SIDE of LOKPAL !!!

Hello Readers,

So this not not something about creating a blog , making a twitter bird fly through posts or html & javascript codes for making blogs attractive! This post is something that i wish to share with you about the burning issue of India today .... According to the data provided by the Swiss bank, India has more black money than rest of the world combined. India topping the list with almost Rs69,232.05 Billion black money in swiss banks, followed by Russia Rs 21,692.71 Billion, K Rs 18,000.33Billion, Ukraine Rs 4,615.47 Billion and China with Rs 4,430.85 Billion.

It’s embarrassing for any country to top the list of black money holders. The money which belongs to the nation and it’s citizens, is stashed in the illegal personal accounts of corrupt politicians, IRS, IPS officers and industrialists. An amount which is 13 times larger than the nations foreign debt. Every year this amount is increasing at a rapid speed but the Indian government seem to be silent over this matter from a very long time. The total black money accounts for 40% of GDP of India, if all the money comes back to India then that could result in huge growth burst for India.

For the first time in the 63 year history of our nation, the citizens have the opportunity to directly participate in the making of a law that will have significant and direct impact on their lives and the life of the nation. The country is today ridden by corruption. Whether it be routine transactions that involve the government or services and amenities and benefits provided through the public exchequer, the ordinary citizen pays a price daily in terms of harassment, delays, poor quality, absent infrastructure and in-equal access. What we need is an effective and independent institutional mechanism for tackling the malaise of corruption in this country. That institution is the Jan Lokpal. That corruption is a disease consuming the body politic is a fear expressed by dignitaries in India over many years. As far back as 1979, Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer observed in a judgment in his inimitable style: “Fearless investigation is a ‘sine qua non' of exposure of delinquent ‘greats' and if the investigative agencies tremble to probe or make public the felonies of high office, white-collar offenders in the peaks may be unruffled by the law. An independent investigative agency to be set in motion by any responsible citizen is a desideratum.”

Mark the words: fearless investigation by an independent investigative agency against delinquent ‘greats'. A good Lokpal bill has to be nothing less.

Jan Lokpal BilL

The Jan Lokpal Bill ,also referred to as the citizens' ombudsman bill is a proposed independent anti-corruption law in India. Anti-corruption social activists proposed it as a more effective improvement to the original Lokpal bill, which is currently being proposed by the Government of India.

The Jan Lokpal Bill aims to effectively deter corruption, redress grievances of citizens, and protect whistle-blowers(a person who tells the public or someone in authority about dishonest or illegal activities occurring in a government department, public or a private organization or a company). If made into law, the bill would create an independent ombudsman body similar to the Election Commission of India called the Lokpal (Sanskrit: protector of the people). It would be empowered to register and investigate complaints of corruption against politicians and bureaucrats without prior government approval. First passed the Lok Sabha in 1968, the bill has failed to pass the Rajya Sabha and become law for over four decades

Difference between government and activist drafts :

Jan Lokpal Bill (Citizen's Ombudsman Bill)	Draft Lokpal Bill (2010)
Lokpal will have powers to initiate suo motu action or receive complaints of corruption from the general public.	Lokpal will have no power to initiate suo motu action or receive complaints of corruption from the general public. It can only probe complaints forwarded by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha or the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.
Lokpal will have the power to initiate prosecution of anyone found guilty.	Lokpal will only be an Advisory Body with a role limited to forwarding reports to a "Competent Authority".
Lokpal will have police powers as well as the ability to register FIRs.	Lokpal will have no police powers and no ability to register an FIR or proceed with criminal investigations.
Lokpal and the anti corruption wing of the CBI will be one independent body.	The CBI and Lokpal will be unconnected.
Punishments will be a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of up to life imprisonment.	Punishment for corruption will be a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of up to 7 years.

§ 2001 - Rs 1.5 crore - PM under lokpal

2011 - Rs 1700 crore

The Constitution :

Under the Indian Constitution there is no provision to give immunity to the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers or Ministers. Under Article 361, immunity from criminal proceedings is conferred on the President and the Governor (formerly the Rajpramukh) only “during his term of office.”

So what is the principle behind such immunity being given? The line is clearly drawn. Constitutional heads who do not directly exercise executive powers are given immunity as heads of state. Active politicians such as Ministers, who cannot remain aloof from the hurly-burly of electoral and party politics, ethical or unethical, honest or corrupt, are not given any immunity. They are subject to penal laws and criminal liability.

THE OTHER SIDE :

The emphasis on the Lokpal Bill has become critical for a country that has seen its government's corruption hit over-achiever levels. So what exactly is this bill going to do.? Evary coin has two sides... So has this bill too.. Please note that I do not have any pre-conceded thoughts to write against The Lokpal. These are the general critics being offered against the lokpal bill...

1. Team Anna wants PM to be covered under the lokpal bill..

The first one runs thus: “The simple answer is, if the Prime Minister is covered under ordinary law (the Prevention of Corruption Act), you don't need him covered under Lokpal.” This is a view that has been attributed to the former Chief Justice of India, J.S. Verma . Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha has said she was against bringing the Prime Minister under the Lokpal’s ambit as it would undermine his authority and pave way for a ”parallel government.”

Expressing fears that the bill could be used by foreign powers to “destabilise” the nation, she said if the Prime Minister was included under the Bill, he cannot function as he would have to focus more on defending himself against the accusations.

“It would seriously dent the PM’s authority even if charges were proved wrong. The Prime Minister will be put on the defensive and he has to constantly defend himself,” she said but added that the state government will give its opinion on this issue only after getting the final draft which would be tabled in Parliament.

SO if the prime minister is going to be questioned by anyone... what about the dignity of the post? What if the opposition parties misusing this opportunity for personal vengeance? Then the prime minister has to keep on defending himself against each and every complaint registered... I don’t mean that prime minister cant be faulty but this could not be the right approach as far as prime ministers office is concerned

2. Team Anna wants to frame a committee which includes people who have clean track records.

People with clean records??????? That is a million dollar question in todays India! It remains unsure whether Many of the celebreties who are supporting the passing of the bill have payed their income tax properly or not . They have included the people who in past where the Judges or Advocates of High Court or Supreme Court. How can one be sure if these people have clean records or they are puppets in the hands of some political party??

3. Team Anna wants PM ManMohan Singh in the lokpal committee..

The role of the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Home Minister P. Chidambaram over their alleged involvement in facilitating the 2G spectrum telecom scam. Has been questioned by Tamilnadu chief minister...

Well all mistakes set apart.. today almost whole india knows the puppet show being played and i hope you will be able to figure out what i mean ! Why? Even if he is included in the bench, he will do what Sonia madam will ask him to do

4. Appeals against the lokpal order will be preceded to the High Court.

So we are back to the most corrupted place on the Earth! The entire meaning of the lokpal bill stands null.

The Govt’s format of Lokpal is worthless & useless. But even the Anna’s Lokpal is impractical to some extent. Anyways, the fight against corruption has started and there would surely be some good outcome to it. All in all, it's good for the country. A good start. No one should think that just getting a strong Lokpal will eliminate corruption. But at least, it will make every attempt to arrest it as far as possible. As time goes along, it can be improved with experience. Let's not delay it. Sooner the better.

Google +1 - a SEO plus???

Social interaction is huge and Google has been working hard to catch up to rival Facebook. With the launch of the Google Plus One Button we have a powerful new tool that will soon allow Google users to share websites and content the same as Facebook users now do with the Like button.

It Was when i was in the middle of first month as a blogger google plus came into effect to the community that was heavily influenced by the “Facebook stigma “.It’s not shocking that Google has followed suit. After all, Facebook’s Like Button was a viral marketing strike of genius. Millions of sites have since added the little blue button to their site, allowing users to not only voice their approval, but share with their dozens or even hundreds of friends in seconds. Today, you’re unlikely to find a single blog, ecommerce site, or business site without a Facebook Like button.

Well coming to serious matters , marketers and search engine optimization experts are curious about how the new social product might influence organic search rankings in the future.Even before Google rolled out the +1 button, social factors from sites like Twitter and Facebook were already being baked into search engine result pages (SERPs), even if the extent of their immediate influence on Page Rank wasn't immediately obvious. With Google Plus and the +1 button, the social activities are taking place on Google itself, so it's hard to imagine things like the number of +1 button clicks a given page gets wouldn't have an effect on that page's organic rankings.

Wow! Now this is a big development.

Think about it for a second. Right now, the +1 button is used just for search. If you search for “blog tips” and decide the fourth or fifth page in the search results is better than the first, you can +1 that ranking, basically telling Google “this search result is the best for this keyword”. That’s powerful and Google will gladly integrate those results into their search rankings.

Of course, we won’t know for a little while how much of an impact the +1 button has on search rankings, but I think it’s pretty safe to assume Google will take it into account.
In fact, Matt Cutts – the head of the Web Spam division at Google – has repeatedly said in the past that they want to integrate social interaction into determining content quality. Presumably there was an issue with spam regulation, but now that the +1 button has been rolled out, it’s only a matter of time before this very social tool becomes an important part of their algorithm. After all, they track, monitor, and gather all the results from those clicks. You can bet they’ll use the data. One thing is for sure…Any smart webmaster and Internet marketer out there... will keep a close eye on these tools!! Fruitful SEO days ahead .. Lage raho !!!

There are many alternatives to google adsense out there in the virtual world...

Suppose you have a blog(abc.blogspot.com) which have some decent amount of traffic and you are not going to use that blog anymore(if it is banned from placing ads due to some reasons by some affiliate programmes like adsense,adbrite,etc).

1. Cloaking Your Content

This is commonly called "cloaking," and it's generally considered the dirtiest trick there is. Let's face it, the redirected site is never about anything fun.

Cloaking your Web site is a sure-fire way to get banned from Google and probably the worst thing you could do for Google.

2.Automatic Queries

If you're like most Website owners, you wonder how your pages rank on various keywords at any given moment in time. Lo and behold, there are even tools that will perform automatic queries for you, to find out the truth from Google itself.

HTML documents are composed entirely of HTML elements that, in their most general form have three components: a pair of tags, a "start tag" and "end tag"; some attributes within the start tag; and finally, any textual and graphical content between the start and end tags, perhaps including other nested elements. Some people prefer not to display the label count in their blogs as it looks a bit unprofessional. So ,If you are using blogspot and thinking to remove the label count from the label, you can follow the following steps

1. Login Blogger.com with your user name and password

2. Go to “Template”

3. Click “Edit HTML”

4. Tick the “Expand Widget Template”

5. Find this word “(<Data: label.count />)” and delete it (you can use ctrl + F to find). Or as an option you can also delete the entire line as shown :

Well friends, there is a lot of talk about blogging,bloggers etc etc... so , what actually it takes to create a blog? When you look from outside, blogging may seem to be a herculean task for many out there. But let me tell you friends, its really very simple... don’t belive??? Well here are the steps you need to follow.. and then, whoa!! You can create your very own blog! Just like me and thousands of bloggers out there in this virtual world !!

Step 1 : decide on your theme

Before you create a blog, it is important to decide on the theme or subject area your blog will cover. Two main factors should be considered when picking a topic to blog about, your audience and what you are passionate about, be it work or pleasure.

Step 2: Decide: To Host or Not To Host

When it comes to starting a blog, your biggest decision will be whether you want to host the blog yourself, or use a free blogging service that is hosted for you.

Free Blogging Services :Yes, it's free, but nothing is really free. When you start a blog with a free blogging service, you don't get your own domain. You get something like mygreatblog.blogspot.com (where there are a million other blogs at blogspot.com) and you don't actually own the blog. If you ever do decide to move to your own domain, you have no way to take your readers with you, because you have no control over the site.
Host your own blog using WordPress free Blog software :
This is the method many suggest, because it offers much more flexibility and freedom to do what you want. You will have your own domain name, like mygreatblog.com. You can get this for as little as ₨1,331.84 per year.

Step 3: Name Your Blog

There's no limit to what you can name your blog. Some blogs have names that relate to their subject matter - Cute Overload, Treehugger, PassiveAggressiveNotes.com. Some blogs have completely nonsensical names that are just plain catchy like Boing Boing, Small Dead Animals, The Coming. The easiest way out may just be naming your blog after yourself.

Technically, you can name your blog whatever you'd like. However, there are limits to what your blog's URL or web address can be. Whatever you decide, keep in mind that a blog's name should ideally be memorable, short, easy to spell and free of hyphens.

Most of the viewers of your blog will look for an authority to certify the correctness of your blog content. Thus creating a profile page with few words about your identity and purpose can instill confidence in their minds which means you could get consistent traffic for your blog !

· It’s Boring

. You’re not supplying enough content for people to look at

. If it is the same content over days and weeks people wil be least bothered to come back to your site. Have something to say. Teach. Inform. Share your opinion. Get people excited.

· It’s appearance

First impression is the best impression. Well, you have written loads of interesting articles, updated them regularly, but still....Just a moment ! Have you bothered to add any pictures or lists to break up the blocks? People are easily discouraged by a lot of words. Apart from words your blog’s design DOES make some sense to your readers. Be careful in choosing a theme oriented and pleasing theme according to your niche. If you don’t pull them in at first glance, you’ve lost them for good – or at least until you put up another blog post.

Also called inlink or simply link, it is an hyperlink on another website pointing back to your own website. Backlinks are important for SEO because they affect directly the PageRank of any web page, influencing its search rankings.

NoFollow

The nofollow is a link attribute used by website owners to signal to Google that they don’t endorse the website they are linking to. This can happen either when the link is created by the users themselves (e.g., blog comments), or when the link was paid for (e.g., sponsors and advertisers). When Google sees the nofollow attribute it will basically not count that link for the PageRank and search algorithms.

Link Sculpting

By using the nofollow attribute strategically webmasters were able to channel the flow of PageRank within their websites, thus increasing the search rankings of desired pages. This practice is no longer effective as Google recently change how it handles the nofollow attribute.

Anchor text

The anchor text of a backlink is the text that is clickable on the web page. Having keyword rich anchor texts help with SEO because Google will associate these keywords with the content of your website. If you have a weight loss blog, for instance, it would help your search rankings if some of your backlinks had “weight loss” as their anchor texts.

Title Tag

The title tag is literally the title of a web page, and it’s one of the most important factors inside Google’s search algorithm. Ideally your title tag should be unique and contain the main keywords of your page. You can see the title tag of any web page on top of the browser while navigating it.

Meta Tags

Like the title tag, meta tags are used to give search engines more information regarding the content of your pages. The meta tags are placed inside the HEAD section of your HTML code, and thus are not visible to human visitors.

Search Algorithm

Google’s search algorithm is used to find the most relevant web pages for any search query. The algorithm considers over 200 factors (according to Google itself), including the PageRank value, the title tag, the meta tags, the content of the website, the age of the domain and so on.

SERP

Stands for Search Engine Results Page. It’s basically the page you’ll get when you search for a specific keyword on Google or on other search engines. The amount of search traffic your website will receive depends on the rankings it will have inside the SERPs.

Latent Semantic Indexing

Or LSI for short, is an algorithm used by Google (and possibly other search engines) to determine how words are related to each other in the context of a web page. An article about "cookies" might contain words such as chocolate, sugar, flour or dough for example.

Keyword Density

To find the keyword density of any particular page you just need to divide the number of times that keyword is used by the total number of words in the page. Keyword density used to be an important SEO factor, as the early algorithms placed a heavy emphasis on it. This is not the case anymore.

Keyword Stuffing

Since keyword density was an important factor on the early search algorithms, webmasters started to game the system by artificially inflating the keyword density inside their websites. This is called keyword stuffing. These days this practice won’t help you, and it can also get you penalized.

Sandbox

Google basically has a separate index, the sandbox, where it places all newly discovered websites. When websites are on the sandbox, they won’t appear in the search results for normal search queries. Once Google verifies that the website is legitimate, it will move it out of the sandbox and into the main index.

Cloaking

This technique involves making the same web page show different content to search engines and to human visitors. The purpose is to get the page ranked for specific keywords, and then use the incoming traffic to promote unrelated products or services. This practice is considering spamming and can get you penalized (if not banned) on most search engines.

Web Crawler

Also called search bot or spider, it’s a computer program that browses the web on behalf of search engines, trying to discover new links and new pages. This is the first step on the indexation process.

Duplicate Content

Duplicate content generally refers to substantive blocks of content within or across domains that either completely match other content or are appreciably similar. You should avoid having duplicate content on your website because it can get you penalized.

Canonical URL

Canonicalization is a process for converting data that has more than one possible representation into a “standard” canonical representation. A canonical URL, therefore, is the standard URL for accessing a specific page within your website. For instance, the canonical version of your domain might be http://www.domain.com instead of http://domain.com.

Robots.txt

This is nothing more than a file, placed in the root of the domain, that is used to inform search bots about the structure of the website. For instance, via the robots.txt file it’s possible to block specific search robots and to restrict the access to specific folders of section inside the website.

1. Have an “Advertise with Us” Banner on your site

This is the single most important issue. It should click to an Advertising information page and have an easy way to contact you for more information and rates. Key points: Make it a graphical image or a tab. Keep it above the fold.

Don’t have smiley ads and wallpaper ads if your site is site is about mobile phones.

3. Show them the banners

But Google ad sense devalues your site and makes it look unprofessional. You have to ask yourself, “Do I want some real revenue from my site or Google’s table scraps.”

9. Keep your blog on topic.

If you are all over the map in regards to topics about which you talk about, advertisers won’t know if they are a good fit for your site.

10. Keep your blog professional.
