Another awesome day for Hawaii scuba diving tours with Rainbow Scuba of Hawaii.
Today's morning dive charter was with Eric, PADI instructor Jeff and Pat. the Hawaii scuba diving tour was scheduled for the YO-257 shipwreck and Kewalo Pipe reef.

Our first Hawaii scuba diving site was YO-257 shipwreck. An awesome dive today with a maximum depth of 90' for about 25 minutes of dive time. Hawaiian green sea turtles were all about, swimming around us. We even spotted a white tip reef shark in the distance checking out the shipwreck.

Our second dive site in Hawaii was over at the Kewalo Pipe reef. A great dive site with always lots to see. Our dive was for about 45 minutes with a maximum depth of 50'. We encountered several types of moray eels and huge schools of reef fish. Overall an awesome dive in Honolulu today!

Our afternoon charter was with our PADI open Water students Juhana, Mari and PADI instructor Ken. A great sunny afternoon for learning how to scuba dive in paradise! We scheduled three training dives today to review the skills learned yesterday at Magic Island lagoon.

Our first two dives were at the Turtle Canyon dive site in Honolulu. With a maximum depth on both dives of 35', we did one 25 minute dive and then surfacing with the alternate air accent. The second dive was for about 20 minutes underwater. Lots of turtles and a visibility of around 40' or so.

The third Hawaii scuba diving site was at the Kewalo Pipe reef. Our maximum depth was 60' at the end of the pipe. A fantastic dive with lots to see and we dove for about 35 minutes and a 3 minute safety stop at 15'. Today truly was an epic day for PADI scuba diving certification and the best Hawaii scuba diving tours in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Hawaii scuba diving certification in Honolulu, Hawaii with Gina, Juhana and Mari at Magic Island lagoon. A great day for learning how to dive, calm waters and beautiful skies! Today our PADI open water students setup their scuba diving equipment thoroughly checking to ensure proper functionality.

The next segment of the PADI Open Water course is to become comfortable with the 20 underwater skills and then a small dive to help understand their buoyancy control prior to going out on the dive charter boat. At the end of the day our students accomplished all the required lessons for their Hawaii scuba diving certification in Honolulu, Hawaii.

First time beginners scuba diving Hawaii with Rainbow Scuba Hawaii. Today was a great day for diving in Honolulu! We discovered scuba diving at the turtle Canyon reef and Horseshoe reef dive sites.

Our first Hawaii scuba diving site was Turtle Canyon reef. Lots of Hawaiian green sea turtles to visit today. It was an awesome dive with huge schools of trigger fish and snapper. the maximum depth was around 30' and we dove for about 35 minutes.

The second dive site in Hawaii was over at the Horseshoe reef. the water was super clear and was another fun site for diving in Honolulu. Several types of eels and a variety of Hawaiian reef fish to observe. Our maximum depth was 40' for about 30 minutes of bottom time. Was a great day for our beginners scuba diving in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Hawaii scuba diving tours in Honolulu, Hawaii. Awesome shipwreck diving today with PADI instructor and Ky aboard the Kahala Kai catamaran. The best Hawaii dive sites for certified scuba divers are definitely the shipwrecks!

Today's first Hawaii scuba diving site was the Sea Tiger shipwreck. With a maximum depth of 100' we dove for about 20 minutes underwater. Frog fish, Hawaiian green sea turtles and octopus weere some of the highlights aboard this submerged shipwreck.

Our second Hawaii scuba diving site was Kewalo Pipe reef. A nice long dive for about 45 minutes with maximum depth of 50'. Always a great dive tour to see on your Hawaii scuba diving vacation. Hawaii Scuba Diving First Time Divers

Hawaii scuba diving for first time divers and PADI open water students in Honolulu, Hawaii. Today's dives were at Turtle Canyon reef and the Horseshoe reef. These dive sites are a great location for both the beginners scuba diving in Hawaii and the PADI scuba diving courses. These dive sites in honolulu are flexable enough to offer both very shallow dives as well as deeper dives to 60' underwater.

At Turtle Canyon reef it was loaded with Hawaiian green sea turtles. It was a little cloudy under the boat but cleared up to around 50' visibility a little farther out. Our first dive group were underwater for about 35 minutes with a maximum depth of 30'. Our PADI open water student did two dives here, one for about 25 minutes and another for about 30 minutes with maximum depth of 35'.

Over by Horseshoe reef our first time Hawaii scuba divers dove to a depth of 40' for about 35 minutes while our student went to a depth of 60' underwater for 35 minutes. Always lots to see on this reef with octopus and eels about the site. Another fine day for Hawaii scuba diving for first time divers and PADI certification courses!

PADI Scuba Lessons in Honolulu, Hawaii

Taking the PADI open water course over at Magic island today was Bonnie. A great safe training location for scuba lessons in the heart of Honolulu, Hawaii. We started by putting together the scuba diving gear and ensuring everything was working properly.

After reviewing the twenty underwater skills we we off into he water! Was great diving around the magic island lagoon and we found a huge octopus, flounder, several types of puffers and other reef fish as well. Tomorrow on the Hawaii boat charter, Bonnie will do great! Overall another great day for PADI scuba lessons in Honolulu, Hawaii.

PADI Advanced Scuba Diving Course Honolulu, Hawaii

On our Hawaii scuba diving charter this morning was Karrie and Matt taking the PADI advanced scuba certification course. Today's adventures included a deep shipwreck dive and some navigation skill on some shallower coral reefs.

Our first Hawaii dive site was the Sea Tiger shipwreck. The maximum depth was 100' and we dove for around 20 minutes of bottom time then a 3 minute safety stop. found a baby octopus to play with and spotted a huge turtle on deck. While exploring thought out the shipwrecks interior a huge green moray sleeked past us.

The second dive site in Hawaii was Kewalo Pipe reef. a nice long dive for about 45 minutes with maximum depth of 50'. Dove around with several Hawaiian green sea turtles and several types of moray eels as well. It was a great day of diving for the PADI advanced scuba diving certification in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The second Hawaii dive site was Kewalo Pipe reef. This time we dove down to about 40' for about 34 minutes of bottom time. Encountered a huge frog fish, several types of eels and schools of reef fish. Again another awesome day of Honolulu scuba diving tours on our Hawaii scuba diving vacation.

Our first Hawaii scuba diving site was at the Sea Tiger shipwreck. The dive was to a depth of 100' for about 20 minutes of bottom time. Lots to see today with frog fish, huge moray eels and Hawaiian octopus. This dive site is definitely considered by our staff to be the best scuba diving in Hawaii.

Our second dive site in Hawaii was over at the Kewalo pipe reef. This dive was to a maximum depth of 50' and we dove for about 45 minutes underwater. Also a fantastic dive site for encountering various Hawaii marine life. This pipe was installed here around 1965 and is no longed used because of environmental issues. PADI Open Water course, Buoyancy Check

How do you assess your PADI open water students weight and buoyancy in Hawaii? Well... back in the day, too much weight and you could be in serious trouble!

We didn't have BCDs our scuba diving equipment was a little different then but we dove fine... it taught you to rely on fully exhaling unlike swimming were you always retain some air in your lungs. Most new divers tend to exhale too fast, they need to be relaxed underwater and understand the importance of a long slow exhale, your inhale will come naturally. We always kicked our self down underwater thus controlling our rate of decent, not having the weight pull us down, a common misconception of newer divers.

The BCD was engineered for the sole purpose of flotation on the surface, an answer to a much needed safety concern in the past. Yes, it also allows us scuba diving in Hawaii the benefit of compensating for neutral buoyancy but over weighting is still dangerous.

The floating at eye level check is one way to check buoyancy, but an additional Way to check for proper weighting is:
At the end of the dive when the PADI open water student is low on air (500 - 700psi) and were the boat is anchored (shallow depth 20' - 25'), if they have air in their BCD they are over weighted... if they are fighting to stay down they need a pound or so more... The tank when low on air is more buoyant, so we need to compensate for this.

Its not rocket surgery or brain science... but IMHO, buoyancy control is the single most important skill every scuba instructor must teach their PADI open water course students!

With several Hawaii scuba diving sites on the island our Honolulu scuba company enjoys the shipwreck dives in the morning and the shallower Hawaii scuba diving sites in the afternoon.

Our first Hawaii scuba diving site was the YO-257 shipwreck. Considered by most locals to simply be one of the best Hawaii scuba diving locations! We explored throughout the wreck encountering various Hawaiian sea life. Our dive was for about 25 minutes and a 3 minute safety stop at 15'. The maximum depth of the scuba dive in Hawaii was 90' underwater.

The second diving site in Honolulu, Hawaii was over at the Kewalo Pipe reef. A great coral reef in Honolulu for discovering Hawaiian octopus and several types of Moray eels. Today was found about four of the Hawaiian green sea turtles in varying sizes. We dove this Hawaii scuba diving tour in Honolulu, Hawaii for about 45 minutes and also did a 3 minute safety stopat 15' in depth. Our maximum depth of of this diving location was about 50' under the sea of Honolulu, Hawaii.

An excellent tour for scuba diving in Honolulu, Hawaii with Rainbow Scuba Hawaii. Our first time divers had a lot of fun today and enjoyed the reefs of Honolulu, Hawaii. The Hawaii scuba diving sites were the Nautilus reef and Eva reef.

The first Hawaii scuba diving site on the tour was great! Lots of Hawaiian octopus and schools of reef fish abound. The dive was for about 40 minutes with a maximum depth of 35'.

Our second dive site in Hawaii was over at the Eva reef. Another great dive site for beginners scuba diving in Hawaii that is just west of the Kewalo Pipe reef. Frog fish, eels and even more octopus on this site, a great day on our Hawaii boat charter!

An awesome day of Hawaii scuba diving the Turtle Canyon reef in Honolulu, Hawaii with Carl and Thelma! One a year we manage to talk Captain Carl and Thelma to coming out on the Kahala Kai catamaran to dive on their day off. Well today was an excellent day for diving her in Honolulu with smooth seas, great visibility and no current, who could ask for more!

The first Hawaii scuba dive site was over at Turtle Canyon reef. A nice long 60 minute dive with maximum depth of 35'. We encountered several turtles and schools of Hawaiian trigger reef fish.

Great Hawaii scuba diving tours in Honolulu, Hawaii with Debbie & PADI instructor Jeff. Another beautiful day here in Honolulu, Hawaii with a sunny sky and light trade winds today. Our Hawaii scuba diving sites today was the Yo-257 shipwreck and the Nautilus reef.

The first Hawaii scuba diving site, the YO-257 was excellent today! Great visibility on or dive for 25 minutes at 90' in depth and no current present at all! Great dive here in Hawaii with lots of Sea Turtles and another shipwreck, the San Pedro shipwreck.

Our second Hawaii scuba diving site was Nautilus reef. A great dive site in Hawaii for finding lots of Hawaiian octopus and huge schools of trigger fish. Our dive tour in Hawaii was for about 45 minutes with a maximum depth of about 45'. in conclusion today was simply the best Hawaii scuba diving tour in Honolulu, Hawaii!

Today's first dive site the Sea Tiger shipwreck was great, good visibility and no current present. We dove to a maximum depth of 100' for 20 minutes and then doing a 3 minute safety stop at 15'. Lots to see on the shipwreck including frog fish, turtles and even a Hawaiian octopus to play with!

The second Hawaii scuba diving site was over at Horse shoe reef. Good visibility and a little current today. a nice long dive for about 45 minutes with a maximum depth of 50'. Always a great dive site for seeing a variety of moray eels as well as various reef fish know to live here in Honolulu, Hawaii. I always enjoy Hawaii scuba diving with Rainbow Scuba Hawaii.

Yet again another day of great Hawaii scuba diving with Tom and PADI instructor Tom. Honolulu has some of the best shipwrecks for scuba diving in Hawaii. Today's Hawaii scuba diving sites were the Sea Tiger shipwreck and the Kewalo pipe reef.

First Hawaii scuba diving site Sea Tiger. Maximum depth was 100' for about 20 minutes. Great visibility and no current present. Encountered several huge schools of Hawaii reef fish as well as two green sea turtles aboard the submerged vessel.

Second Hawaii dive site was the Kewalo Pipe reef. Maximum depth of around 50' for about 45 minutes. Also a fantastic dive here in Honolulu with little current and visibility of around 50' or so. Found several types of moray eels and some harlequin shrimp on the reef. Yes it truly was a great day of Hawaii scuba diving tours with Rainbow Scuba Hawaii!
