We all know Podcast is an episodes or a series of audio files based on a specific topic. It is just like an offline radio, where you can download and carry in your portable digital media players. Recently I wrote about different type of web services and Chrome extensions which helps users to do more with their cloud services. Using those applications you can easily attach files from any cloud storage to Gmail, access all your cloud data in a single place, carry your cloud data in Smartphones and much more. So Cloud storage has become one of the primary storage for accessing data from different places. Today I came with an interesting application for chrome called Kloudless which helps to upload the Gmail attachments automatically to the connected cloud services.

You can download this extension from the Chrome Web Store. Once you install the app, it will ask you to sign in to your Gmail account or else it will use the default account connected with your Chrome. You can also connect multiple gmail accounts with this application. So once you sign in to your account, it will pop up a window to connect your Gmail account to Kloudless. Click “Connect your Email to Start” option to connect the cloud services with your Gmail account. Then it will show you the list of things it will use from your Gmail account. Just click “Accept” to continue.

Once you connect the Kloudless with your account, a separate control panel will be available to manage the application. In that control panel you will have three different tabs to manage the cloud services and Kloudless options in your Gmail account. In the first tab “Account”, you can see all the connected Gmail accounts. The second tab is pretty important where you will connect your cloud accounts. As of now it supports only three main cloud services like dropbox, box and Google drive. You can see all the three app icons on that tab, just click and enter your log in details, it will be automatically connected.

So once you connect the cloud services with your Gmail account, you don’t need to bother about the attachments on your email. You may keep many emails on the inbox for the attachments. Now you just upload that file to your cloud account and delete the emails. It will save your email space as well as stores all the data in a single place for easy reference. The third tab on that Kloudless window is the important functionality of the application. Here you can create up to 10 rules to automate the process in handling your email attachments.

For instance, you can automate the process of copying files in to specific folder using this option. So like copying you can also automate edit, delete and much more options in your Gmail attachments. Also when you compose a new mail, you can attach files from Kloudless using the icon near to attach files option. It is a must have application for all the Gmail and Chrome users which makes handling your attachments simple than before. You can also specify the details for the text that will be accompanying the photo showcase interface. You can specify a name for the album, the title of the images page, copyright text, the background color, your email address, and website URL.

With your settings complete, you will be able to generate a webpage that is saved locally along with the necessary files you need to incorporate the interface in your project. You will find that the average computer user of Windows will not know much about the processes running on his computer. And it is because he / she does not have this knowledge that their computer often lags in performance and overall speed. There are numerous desktop tools that can be used by such people to see what is actually happening in their system. This “actually happening” refers to running services, startup programs, scheduled tasks, and a lot more. For many of these tasks, you can use tools that are included in Windows. For example, to see the startup programs, just type “msconfig” in the Run dialog box and head on over to the startup programs in the window that subsequently appears. But if you are looking for a one-stop solution for the problem i.e. one tool that shows you all processes and other useful information, you should check out the highly useful desktop app called “WinPatrol.”

WinPatrol is a highly useful desktop app for Windows computers that provides you with valuable information about the processes on your computer. The app comes in an installation package that is sized at nearly 0.9 MB. When you open the app after installing it you can click on the Active Tasks tab to check out which processes are currently running. By highlighting a process and clicking on the “Kill Task” button at the bottom, you can terminate the process that you highlight. The Recent tab shows you recent processes that were run. You can find out if a new process is detected and in case you are facing malware issues, you will immediately learn which process was the root of the problem.

The Startup Programs tab is self-explanatory. In this list you can conveniently highlight a particular process by clicking on it and then click on the “Disable” button to stop the process from initiating when you turn on your computer. You can also add startup processes in this list.

I recently covered an app that helps delay startup programs for a speedier Windows startup. This function also comes inbuilt with WinPatrol. You can add a new process in the “Delayed Start” tab to have it delayed by a certain time period.

URL2JPEG: A Light Weight Screen Capture Application For Windows

There are plenty of screen capturing tools available on the Internet. One of the biggest disadvantage of many tools is, either it will be very costly or it won’t be efficient enough. So today I came with a new light weight screen capture tool for Windows operating system called URL2JPEG. It is really an efficient application with plenty of options and you can download it for free. It is a desktop application, where you can take screenshots of a website using various options. It can be used only for website not for taking screenshots on any desktop applications. Let’s have a brief look over the features and functions of URL2JPEG.

You can download this application using the link at the end of this post. Once you install the application, you will get a dashboard as shown in the screenshot above. Using this app you can screen capture a website in three different ways. First one, you can take the screenshot of an entire website using the URL. As shown in the screenshot above, enter the URL in that white box and click Go. You will get preview of the entire web page in that window. You can choose the resolution from the drop down box below and easily save the entire web page in your computer. If you want to save an important article in a website, you can use this tool to save it quickly.

The second option is you can choose the area manually and take the screen shot of that web page. For that the procedure is same, enter the website URL and click Go. After you get the preview you need to click on the “capture bitmap” option on the window. It will redirect you to the next tab “Capture” where you can manually select the area of the web page and take a screenshot. The third option is the most important one. It will be very helpful for web masters and designers. In this option you can capture the part of a web page using the HTML tags.

After you go to the Capture Tab, you can see two options on the left side panel. It is “Capture Full Page” and “Capture Manual Zone”. Select “Capture Manual Zone” to see the HTML Tags in that particular web page. You can click on the tags you want and capture them separately. One more option in this application is Scripting. In this you can see all the selected web pages along with the script. Also you can insert any XML file to take screenshots. It is a very light weighted application and comes with plenty of options for people who work on Screen captures.

If you have been using your computer for more than just a couple of years, then you probably have gone through a good number of media players. Typically, Windows users will first of all try and test the Windows Media Player. Once they are tired of it and looking for an alternative they will perhaps experiment with Winamp or the RealPlayer – those two are the most popular options amongst my Windows using friends. But these players and similar ones either lack the simplicity a user desires or they take up too much of your system’s resources. If you are really looking for something new, effective, and (most of all) free to organize and play your music collection, you should definitely give “Jaangle” a try.

Jaangle is a tiny little player that comes in a setup package that is sized at nearly 2 MB. You can compare this setup size with that of the competing players and you will quickly be able to guess how little strain Jaangle will produce on your machine. After you install the application and open it, it will ask you to add your media folders to it. Immediately after this step, Jaangle will begin scanning the folders you add for music and this music will be populated in the left most pane of the application. The top left area shows you your music. This is also the place where you can easily sort your music, filter it, or look for any artist / album / song that you want.

In the bottom left corner of the application you will find your created playlists. This same area can be used to save your song collections as individual playlists to listen to whenever you want.

In the right pane you will find actual track of the artist / album that you clicked on the left pane. This right pane includes detailed information about tracks along with their titles. There are shortcut icons present in front of track titles to simply play the song or queue it up in your current playlist.

A mini equalizer comes built into the media player. Its simple controls can be accessed and modified from the bottom right corner of the application.

In addition to all of this, the player supports hotkey shortcuts that can all be modified from its preferences.

As you can see, Jaangle offers a lot of punch in its tiny package. Any Windows users looking for a new type of media player will certainly not be disappointed. You can see all the shortcuts for text editing and other options on the application using “CTRL+d”. This command will pop up a new window with a list of all the shortcuts available. Without closing the window, you can see the preview side by side. You can tweak all the fonts, font size, line spacing, etc., in the Textdown settings. I test a lot of Chrome extensions every day and trust me, installing/uninstalling extensions again and again can be a bit of a hassle. In order to disable any extension in Chrome, the person has to go to the Extensions Manager from Chrome Settings and then disable it. Today, I came across a very handy Chrome extension, One Click Extension Manager that allows users to disable all extensions with a single click. If you want, you can even disable a specific extension as well.

To get started, head over to Chrome Web Store and install One Click Extensions Manager. Once installed, a new power icon will appear in your extensions area.

Click on the extension icon and it will show you all the installed extensions in your browser. To enable/disable any extension, just click on the name of the extension. It also allows users to disable all the installed extension with a single click.

If you want, you can even uninstall any extension for the same menu. Just click on the extension icon and right click on it. It will show you a confirmation message and will ask you to confirm the action. Just click OK and it will disable the extension.

One Click Extensions Manage is a very handy utility that can simplify uninstalling extensions in Google Chrome. If you work with extensions everyday and have to install/uninstall extensions on a regular basis, I would definitely suggest you to give this extension a try.
