Soulja Corleone Drops "He Has Rizen 2" Project

2018-11-22T01:41:00.000-08:00

Soulja Corleone is back with a new project for 2018. The rapper has been silent since late 2017, when he and Down East Music Group artist Will Boy was supposed to drop a collaborative project entitled "Southern Soul & Dope Cuts" with DJ Marksman. But, it seems talk of that project died down between the few, and never dropped.

Since then Soulja Corleone has been silent on all social media fronts until a couple months ago when he posted "#HHR2" on his social media platforms, but at the time it was just something random to those paying attention. Following that hashtag Soulja updated his social media accounts two more times. Posting "The only king to leave his throne, and claim it back. #HHR2" and "Recording for #HHR2 has wrapped up, time for mixing."

That was a sign to many who hadn't heard from the artist something was coming, but when was it coming was the question. Yet, it wasn't long until some speculation was answered, and that was Thanksgiving. Where Soulja said one thing that would set the tone for the newly released project. He says "Thanks for giving the energy." As sighting it was some unknown force, or forces that had made this project come to life.

Soulja is infamous for his long hiatus breaks from social media, and the music scene only to re-appear with something that shakes up those who look out, and don't look out for him. Only to disappear again. But, where does this new project stand next to its predecessor? Admittedly this new released work from Soulja Corleone is much longer than the previous "He Has Rizen" EP released in 2016 that came in with only 4 tracks, and with majority produced by CashMoneyAP, and one produced by Skeyez.

The follow up features 10 tracks, and showcases a variety of producers in its credits. And, mostly familiar names that have been the backbone of many Soulja Corleone tracks. That includes The Cratez, Nate Rhoads, Cxdy, and now Skeyez. While some names are unfamiliar to have done production for Soulja Corleone such as WxlfStealth, and Ryo the Ghoul. But, besides the multiple producers it took to give this project life. The main attraction is that Soulja Corleone came out, and brought his vision to each, and every track.

For so much time away from the scene Soulja Corleone's voice is going to perk up alot of ears, and may bring some response to the content of the project. It more or less seemed as he had unfinished business from the last "He Has Rizen" project into this one. But, at the end of it all. It seems as if its been resolved on Soulja Corleone's end.

Listen to "He Has Rizen 2" below.

Soulja Corleone Drops Another Verse, Talks Anime References

2017-11-25T07:34:00.000-08:00

Soulja Corleone has been releasing some one-off verses until the release of his collaboration project with Down East Music Group artist Will Boy.

And, this time is no exception as Soulja Corleone drops a furious one-off verse on now is what is being called "Mo' Murda, Kill Everything" via his SoundCloud page. But, what makes this verse different from all his other verses is that Soulja sports a new flow that during majority of the song, that he usually uses for only a couple bars in most. Using the triplet pattern made popular by the Migos. Soulja speeds through many bars of this track.

Soulja recently sat down, and spoke on the one-off verses. Saying "Most of the verses to me are just warm-ups before I start a actual studio session. Going through beats that I normally wouldn't touch, and coming up with something on the spot is a challenge for me. During that time gets me chance to mess with effects, and processes that I normally don't do for a actual track. It gives me some practice on certain things I want to try in my own music. I never planned on releasing the verses except for my "Goosebumps" verse that I did."

Soulja also spoke on what influenced him to record such one-off verses as "Super Sayian God Flow" and "Super Dragon Ball Flow" which he released via his SoundCloud page also. He said "First off, I love Anime, and Dragon Ball is one of my favorite animes. I watch alot of them, always on the look out for new ones. But, sitting in the studio you have alot of down time. Before, and after a session. I find myself usually catching up on "Dragon Ball Super" or watching some other anime. Might hear a beat, and be like.. thats some DBZ stuff right there. I mean thats how I did those two verse. Simply off that logic. I don't purposely go to anime as a reference, but it was hella fun using it as one. Its almost like you can gauge what people of your audience catch on to the references. Maybe, even get called out cause you got one wrong, and is not cannon to the anime."

As of now Soulja hasn't said whats the next one-off verse he wants to release, or that he wants to release anymore anytime soon. But, he is showing alot of his listeners that time didn't slow him down. He's as on point as he was before, if not better than he was before. But, if you haven't heard the new one-off verse. Its down below..

Rumors That "Avengeful Heart" Has Been Scrapped By Soulja Corleone

2017-11-17T20:05:00.001-08:00

Soulja Corleone hit us with news of a back to back release a few months ago. He was working on a collaboration mixtape with Down East Music Group artist Will Boy. And, then announced that he was working on another project entitled "Avengeful Heart."

A project he said that he waited a long time to work on, and was excited to do. After some updates of the project. Word on the project stopped coming through the pipeline. Soulja Corleone said via Twitter that there will be no more updates from him on the project. Due to personal circumstance at the time.

But, following that tweet Soulja Corleone released 5 tracks from the project, announced that more tracks would be released as they go through the finalizing stages. And, then no more was heard about the "Avengeful Heart" project. No other track release, just nothing.

It was almost as Soulja Corleone's history continues to repeat itself. The announce of a project, release of some records, then no official release of the project. Then, finally the news that the project has been scrapped.

Now, the news of Soulja Corleone scrapping the "Avengeful Heart" project. Comes from a source close to Soulja Corleone. What has been said is "There is no more "Avengeful Heart" record. What is out is the only parts that will be out. But, what was leftover from the project will be part of a new project in the works. "Avengeful Heart" spawned a new idea from a existing one. And, its something that takes time to master. What came out was really rough drafting the sound. It has to be mastered for this new project."

And, that's the only words about the "Avengful Heart" project, and its future. What this new project is? It wasn't disclosed, but time is on the side of Soulja Corleone. When this project will see the light of day, or its going to be another project that doesn't get finished, or released.

Soulja Corleone Drops Another Verse Archive, Preparing For "Southern Soul and Dope Cuts" Release

2017-11-10T16:45:00.001-08:00

Soulja Corleone is back again. Dropping another verse straight form the archives. To hold his listeners over til the collaboration project between him and Will Boy drops.

This time Soulja Corleone comes on another dope instrumental, showing off another dope flow. Which the timing is perfect for the release of this verse since Soulja Corleone tweeted some time ago "There is always silence before the storm." Before disappearing from social media.

Now, the verse is down below for streaming. And, Soulja Corleone has spoke on that "Southern Soul and Dope Cuts" is finished the recording stages. Right now, it's been given to DJ Marksman to do his thing, and when it comes back from him. The mixtape will drop until then all people have is these verses from Soulja Corleone to hold us over.

Soulja Corleone Drops Two Freeverse

2017-10-01T02:47:00.003-07:00

If you thought Soulja Corleone wasn't working hard on new music. You'll be surprised at hard he is.

Soulja Corleone announced via Twitter that the upcoming collaboration between him and Will Boy is entering stage two, and will be heading into completion soon.

But, in the meantime Soulja Corleone dropped two freeverse on his SoundCloud page, and tweeted them out as something to hold the people down until the collaboration project is finished. He dropped a quick verse to Kodak Black's "Rest in Peace" instrumental, and Travis Scott's "Goosebumps" instrumental.

Stating that these was verse he had from sessions when recording the collaboration project. Maybe hinting at there is more of these freeverses he has laying around from other sessions. But, for now these two will have to hold the people down until there are more released from Soulja Corleone.

As for his "Avengeful Heart" project after the release of some early recorded songs, none have followed being uploaded to the SoundCloud page. It is speculated that no more songs will be released until the "Southern Soul and Dope Cuts" collaborative project with Will Boy and DJ Marksman is fully finished.

Check out the two new freeverses from Soulja Corleone below.

Soulja Corleone Drops Tracks From "Avengeful Heart" And Updates On Collaboration Project.

2017-09-27T23:11:00.002-07:00

Soulja Corleone has been busy at work this year. Working on two projects simultaneously. A solo project, and a collaboration project with Will Boy of Down East Music Group.

Both projects have been under wraps with only a track coming from the collaboration project Soulja has with Will Boy. A track that he says he was excited to hold until the release of the final project.

Which is the track "Higher" featuring Amoure on the hook. Amoure is an collaborator of Soulja Corleone, and HB from their track "Fed Up" back in 2010. It is produced by Big Boy Traks, and is the first track to give a idea of what the collaboration project between Soulja Corleone and Will Boy will sound like when its released. Soulja has said that there are no more songs to be released from that project until its full release.

But, in the meantime the people got something else they wasn't expecting. Soulja Corleone released 5 songs from his solo project "Avengeful Heart" this week. Soulja Corleone's reason for releasing the track was if he didn't put it out now, he would have never put it out. He also exclaimed that he's been holding on to these tracks for some time as they was the first 5 original songs recorded for this project. He also disclosed that as songs will be finalized for this project they will be released. So, that is a hint that more is coming from this project.

So, far the songs are uploaded on Soundcloud under the "He who is: Thirteen" account. Soulja also addressed why this is so... He says "I uploaded the songs to a separate account from my main account, because that is how the music, and persona goes. Its not like when I did Mildley Woods. I want this to stand on its own as its own idea."

How much Soulja Corleone has planned for "Avengeful Heart" is still up in the air. But, for now we have a idea of what the project is supposed to be. As far as the other part of the whole "Avengeful Heart" project. Soulja hasn't disclosed, or release the written portion of it. Speculation is when the music is full released then the written portion will be.

For now.. lets enjoy the hard work Soulja Corleone has done this year, and hope that he can continue this streak in 2018.

Soulja Corleone and Will Boy Collaboration Makes Progression

2017-08-29T16:18:00.001-07:00

Its been a busy time for Soulja Corleone. For some its almost to good to be true. And, for some its almost nostalgic. If you want to think about it. It was just a few years ago, there was almost a Soulja Corleone, or SDIMG artist dropping a project after just dropping one a week before. When the grind was the only thing that mattered.

But, times have changed Soulja Corleone established himself, and then got caught up in the work flow of things, and had to find himself musically. Majority of the SDIMG artist have moved on from working under the label, or just stopped creating music entirely. As if the empire that had just reached its prime fell overnight.

And, in the meantime Soulja Corleone would disappear from music, release some music, announce a follow up project that would never be released, and disappear all over again. But, maybe its a change in the times for Soulja Corleone. Who is currently working on multiple projects at the same time. Which are all currently to be released some time this year.

Yet, it was one project that truly kicked off this new change for Soulja Corleone. And, its was a project that was 2 years in the making. Which is a collaboration project with Will Boy, and its called "Southern Soul and Dope Cuts" which is hosted by DJ Marksman. As the project came to be, it was soon overshadowed by a follow up solo project from Soulja Corleone. "Avengeful Heart" which is also soon due for release. But, now "Southern Soul and Dope Cuts" is getting attention once again from Soulja Corleone, and he spoke about recently.

He says "The project is pretty much done on my end, as of right now its on Will Boy to do him. Then, the project will go off to DJ Marksman to do him. So, far I'm very proud of the project, and what I've done with it. Its something I think people will enjoy. I honestly didn't put too much thought into it. I let the music take me where it wanted me to go, and just did it like that. So, even for me right now.. its a waiting game up until its completed. But, there is no sense to rush it. Just let it become what it chooses to become right now."

Soulja Corleone did show off two snippets from the project on his SnapChat recently. And, its really just a tease for those who are waiting for the project. There hasn't been show of the music from "Avengeful Heart" yet. But, possibly after the release of "Southern Soul and Dope Cuts." There will be something teasing "Avengeful Heart" for the people.

Soulja Corleone Speaks On The Music of "Avengeful Heart" and Other Projects.

2017-08-25T11:09:00.002-07:00

Soulja Corleone has been a busy person as of recently. Making a full comeback to music. Starting off with his collaboration project with Will Boy & DJ Marksman.

Not, soon after announcing that project. He also announced he was in the midst of working on another long await project of his own desire.
As for now both projects are still being worked on, but Soulja Corleone recently opened up about one of the projects, and how it came to be.

That project was "Avengeful Heart" that Soulja Corleone spoke on. To read that article click here. But, as Soulja Corleone said in that interview. There was more to the project than just music. There is also a literary part of the project. But, what stopped Soulja Corleone from working on the project years ago. When he thought it up was mainly the musical side of it. Soulja said that he didn't know how to create the sound he wanted for the project, and felt the idea he was going for was a little to out there for people at the time of its conception.

But, now Soulja Corleone has recently spoke on the music of the project, and what inspired him to go with the style he did. He says "Music today... is way more accepting of artist genre hopping. That was something I was afraid of back in the day honestly. But, you get to a point when you just don't care. Its my music, its my musical vision. So, you want to create what you want to create. Because it makes you feel good about it. That's all I ever cared about in my music. How it made me feel after I've recorded, and put my feelings in a song. It was always that therapeutic experience that kept me making music. And, its partly why I never signed a deal with any label. I didn't want to feel the pressure of creating something that I didn't want to."

He continues by saying "I've watched how music evolved, the sound evolved. And, its like I was able to pick from here, and there to come up with a sound that fit the idea of what I wanted for the project. From there I was able to design the vocal setup to mimic what I heard, and worked myself into the idea of I was envisioning in the first place. So, far its worked to how I saw from the beginning. I honestly think it was a good time for me to work on it now. Since I can gain so much new inspiration from music coming out, that pretty much carry the style I dreamed of some years ago."

Soulja Corleone kind hinted off record that the project is partly done to where he wanted it, and half of the writing is done too. He was just wondering what to release first. The story, the music, or release the two projects side by side. He also said that he's working on another project outside of "Avengeful Heart" and "Southern Soul and Dope Cuts"with Will Boy. That will be possibly bigger than both. But, for now its only in the idea stages. Yet, it won't be release until closer to the end of the year.

Soulja Corleone Shuts Down #AvengefulHeart Tweets But Says "Project Is Still On The Way"

2017-08-20T23:09:00.000-07:00

Soulja Corleone is busy at work this year. Currently working on a collaboration project "Southern Soul and Dope Cuts" with Will Boy of Down East Music Group, and working on a solo project entitled "Avengeful Heart." Which sparked much talk from listeners who followed Soulja Corleone on Twitter. When weird tweets began to show up.

Tweets that Soulja Corleone later came out, and spoke about recently as part of the "Avengeful Heart" project. But, now Soulja Corleone went to Twitter saying that the tweets concerning "Avengeful Heart" is going to stop. He will no longer be updating the account with things concerning the project. In fact he won't be speaking on the project entirely until its done.

Now, why Soulja Corleone decided to abruptly change his mind on doing this. He says "The joy I was getting from making this project. Just made a left turn. I'm just gonna coast on it, and not push it as hard as I was.." That's a lot to take in for those who maybe looking forward to the tweets in anticipation of the project. But, it has to be something major behind the scenes for Soulja to just end something.

So, any updates about "Avengeful Heart" is just in the air until Soulja Corleone decides to drop the project. But, many hope that this project doesn't become what some of Soulja Corleone's previous works that got announced, and never came out. Like his announced, but never released album "Redemption" in 2014. And, possible album "13th Hour" in 2016. Those two project marked something in Soulja Corleone's catalog. And, that's when his vision of the project gets distracted, and abandons the project. Let's hope that's not the case for "Avengeful Heart." It would be a waste to see Soulja Corleone hold on to a project for so long in theory, and attempt to work on it. Just to abandon it.

As far as anything Soulja Corleone that will be possibly updated is the collaboration he has with Will Boy. But, even that is currently on hush between all parties.

Soulja Corleone Opens Up About "Avengful Heart" Project & More..

2017-08-20T09:42:00.001-07:00

Soulja Corleone recently cleared up any misconception that may have come from his Twitter accounts. Saying that its part of his new upcoming project, and its not as serious a people think it is.

Now, Soulja Corleone gives more insight into his thought process on this new project, and more. For those who know Soulja Corleone's music. It comes from a real places, and moments in his life. And, documenting in his music. Many situations are reflected in array of songs. Ranging from depressing, and suicidal to uplifting, and riding music.

Soulja Corleone has always shown himself through his music. As himself, but this is what he says about this new project.

It was always something that I wanted to explore, but I felt like the music I was putting out was put into a box. I'm a Southern artist. So, the only music I'm supposed to make is Southern Rap. That's a personal feeling not fact. But, even though I've spread out into recording songs with a East Coast vibe, music that was emotional, music that you could get high to. I felt at my core. I was just a Southern Rapper. And, its not that I hate that. I embrace my culture, and hertiage at every chance I can get. Because it made me who I am musically. Its my influences of Scarface of the Geto Boys, 8Ball & MJG, UGK, and many more. That cultivated my style. The way I can talk about a car, or just talk about riding around in my music. It all came from what I heard from them. Before I ever listened to Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Gang Starr, and DMX.

So, for me to go out and experiment in waters I've never tread before. Its like there is no right direction. Just start walking. But, I pre-planned alot of this idea. How the music, and the story goes together. How the music comes from a real place, but its personified in a fictional manner. It was my love for that relatable fiction that I saw in something as foreign as animes that inspired the entire motif of what I'm making. And, I'm enjoying every moment of it. Taking songs I wrote some years ago, re-writing them, and re-designing them for this sound I'm trying to create, and making them a little more relevant than they original was, but not missing their intented purpose. I know personally not everybody would like what I'm creating, and what I'm doing. But, at the end of the day. I can atleast say that I brought my idea to life. Its not for everyone to accept.

It seems as if Soulja is really into this project. And, it means a lot to him as he goes through the process of creating it. He's excited about it, and hopefully those who give it a listen becomes as excited for "Avengeful Heart" and what else comes with the project.

Soulja Corleone Clears Up Twitter Account & Talks Upcoming Project "Avengeful Heart"

2017-08-18T00:48:00.000-07:00

After some days of very off the wall tweets from his Twitter account. Soulja Corleone is ready to clear up any misconception that any may have about what its going on.

He says "I know that some may be freaked out by whats coming from my Twitter account. I swear. It is not what it may seem. My account hasn't been hacked. I'm fully aware of what is going on. But, it is all part of a grand scheme of things. I been had this idea that came to me inspired by animes that I've watched. I'm a avid anime fan. And, there are two animes that spawned this idea I had. "Tokyo Ghoul" and "Blood+" inspired me to come up with a mixture of the two. Musically, and in story form. I've sat on this idea for over a year, or more. Not knowing how to present this to people. So, I left it alone."

He continues by saying "But, even though I'm still not sure of the direction I want to go with this musically. I know the story I have. The story I want to tell in the music. The story I'm telling through my Twitter account as He who is: Thirteen. Who is a character; but he is me. And, I've been him for along time even as Soulja Corleone. I've released music that should have been He who is: Thirteen. But, I've chose to put "Avengeful Heart" in He who is: Thirteen's name. He's a persona. And, he has a story. Just as Mildley Woods is a persona, a part of me. That I gave an identity to as a main focus; instead of just being one of the many parts of me. I can't truly describe without giving to much away. But, be entertained at the least. I've come to terms that what I'm doing isn't for everyone. Just as I'm sure the music isn't either."

Then, he says "I'm just doing what feels good at the moment, experimenting as I've done in the past. Trying to find He who is: Thirteen's voice as I did for Mildley Woods, and as I've done for myself. The songs I've written are fairly old, but I finally have something; so I can put them into use. In the use of how they was intended. And, as far as the music goes its still a developing thing. My inspiration for it changes day to day, as I become influenced by something that I feel should be the direction I should be going. What the finish product is going to be? Even I have to wait until its all done."

Soulja Corleone also did mention that his project "Avengeful Heart" is not conflicting with the collaboration project he has with Will Boy. He assured that its still in the works, and making progress. And, that it should be coming out soon. Although he didn't disclose when this new project "Avengeful Heart" will be released. It seems as if Soulja will detail it more as that progress also.

Could Soulja Corleone Be Working On Another Project? Weird Twitter Changes May Confirm!

2017-08-15T05:33:00.002-07:00

Soulja Corleone has gone on record saying that he feels he is a "very creative person." Sometimes really involving himself into the music he creates with themes. From movies as shown in 2011 mixtapes "Undisputed" and "Never Given Sunday." Which is based of the movie of the shared title, and "Any Given Sunday" movie. To his musical influences as shown in his 2011 release "Who is Mildley Woods?" and "Return to the Underground" which is based of Wiz Khalfia's "Kush&OJ" mixtape, and Big K.R.I.T's "Live from the Underground" album . Soulja has reach out, and embodied that in his music for those particular projects theme.

But, never going as far as changing up his social media appearance for something. Recently, Soulja Corleone has been very active on Twitter as his preferred social media outlet. Mainly tweeting about the collaboration project that is in the works with Down East Music Group artist Will Boy. Which is slated for release at a unknown date.

And, as many wait for that project to be release. It seems as if Soulja Corleone has another one up his sleeve. And, getting into the theme of this project seems to require a little more from Soulja Corleone than the previous. Overnight, Soulja Corleone changed his profile picture, and Twitter banner. To what seems to be something from a anime. Then, a slue of random ramblings began being updated to the page. Soulja can be a very cryptic with things at times. Leaving a large opening for assumption to those who maybe trying to realize what he's speaking on. As he did with leading up to the release of his 2016 mixtape "He Has Rizen."

Yet, that doesn't compare to what is currently going on with his Twitter. Another noticeable thing on the Twitter account is Soulja Corleone's name, and bio. The name was changed to "He who is: Thirteen" and his twitter bio switched to "Also known as Soulja Corleone, but for now can be addressed as He who is: Thirteen."

Who is "He who is: Thirteen" and where does all this come into play with a upcoming project? At the moment its kind of a guessing game. But, later in the night. Soulja Corleone updated his Facebook fan page, and spoke on the weird Twitter ramblings. That has some people freaked out by it. He says "If your following on Twitter, you won't be seeing your normal tweets from. Its been taken over by He who is: Thirteen.. Something to go along with whats to come..." He follows up with "But, be warned its something totally different from what usually comes from me. Something out the box of my own creation, with a hint of some of this some of that. Its not going to be for everybody."

Now, that has been partly addressed the last part is a hashtag that was tweet out; along with some weird tweets, and from Soulja Corleone prior to the switch. And, that hashtag is #AvengefulHeart which is included in the bio of the account. Is this the title of the project? Or, is Soulja Corleone just playing a sick prank.

Its really on Soulja Corleone to decide when he fully addresses the situation. For now many are still looking forward to the upcoming collaboration with Will Boy from Soulja Corleone. Maybe many will be awaiting whatever it is also that he is working on.

"Southern Soul and Dope Cuts" Is Coming Soon!

2017-08-09T02:21:00.002-07:00

What was once a possible rumor; has been confirmed by Soulja Corleone. That the new collaboration project between him, and Down East Music Group recording artist Will Boy is coming.

Soulja Corleone has been really active on Twitter lately. Regarding him recording new music in the studio. There was only a few tweets between Soulja Corleone, and the accompanying parties Will Boy, and DJ Marksman. Which was all positives for the upcoming collaboration.

In a recent tweet Soulja Corleone confirmed that the project is in progress, but not yet in its final stages for release. As it still possibly has to go through DJ Marksman. Who Soulja Corleone refers to as his big brother in the tweet. But, its very obvious he is excited for this collaboration. As he has been the most vocal about it on social media. While the others keep their low profile on the project.

Maybe Soulja feels as if he has to hype up the people for this project as his recent hiatus from music. Left some of his listeners down when he dropped his "He Has Rizen" mixtape last year. With hopes of him releasing more music. But, either way it seems as some are eager to hear the project.

Although a collaboration between Soulja Corleone and Will Boy is not new. As Will Boy has featured on numerous of tracks with Soulja Corleone in the past. Including featuring on 5 of the 10 tracks of Soulja Corleone's 2013 release "Return to the Underground" mixtape.

But, maybe this is a refresher for those wanting to hear something new between the two, or just something new from Soulja Corleone in general. As it seems getting new music from him. Is alot tougher than getting new releases from some of your favorite artist.

So, stay on the look out for the upcoming project from Soulja Corleone and Will Boy.

Is Soulja Corleone Out of Retirement?! Will Boy Collaboration Project Finally Going To Happen?!

2017-08-03T02:06:00.001-07:00

Soulja Corleone has been pretty active lately on Twitter. With a large amount of tweets to Will Boy of Down East Music Group. Talking about collaborating on a project.

Then, Soulja Corleone tweeted out some cover work. Maybe the possible cover work for this upcoming project with Will Boy entitled "Southern Soul and Dope Cuts" that will be hosted by shared affiliate of Soulja Corleone and Will Boy.. DJ Marksman.

You may remember DJ Marksman from Soulja Corleone's chopped and screwed version of "Who Is Mildley Woods?" some years ago. That's if you can still find it... But, DJ Marksman has always been a cornerstone of approval for Soulja Corleone, and his projects.

The only thing that makes this a little to good to be true is that.. Soulja has said before in the past that he wanted to do a collaborative project with Will Boy. But, that never came to be due to Soulja retirement, then reappearance with "He Has Rizen" mixtape in 2016. Many thought that the project would never see the light of day. Due to Soulja's disappearing act of releasing music, then going into disappearing again.

But, this could have some substance. It seems like all parties involved are on board to make this project happen, and from Soulja's tweets its already in motion. So, maybe its closer to reality than people think. Only time will tell for those who are interested.

Yet, it still stands... Is Soulja Corleone retired or not? Maybe this is part of his process. Disappear for a while, and comeback. Following his strong appearance on "He Has Rizen." Its apparent Soulja can still deliver. But, will he come with it, or get swept by Will Boy. Who has been presist with new music while Soulja has been away.

Well, the project has to drop before anyone can make any assumptions.

Whats to Come After "He Has Rizen EP" for Soulja Corleone

2016-06-06T03:44:00.001-07:00

Soulja Corleone's new project has been out for a 2 weeks now. And, it seems as if the rapper has gone back into hiding. He's no longer updating his social media feed with hints at anything new. Except "He Has Rizen" on Twitter, and Facebook now and again.

But, what is to come now? Is Soulja Corleone finally going to put out a album, or something?

That's a question that has been floating around Soulja Corleone since 2014. When he announced his "Redemption" album. Which kept being delayed, and finally scrapped by him.

Is that something Soulja Corleone plans to revise, or just act like it never happened?

But, one thing is sure; he does have something up his sleeve. Before the release of Soulja Corleone's current project. Soulja hit social media with the #13thHour hashtag. And, on "He Has Rizen" Soulja does have a track entitled"13th Hour Flow."

Is this Soulja's way of hinting at something. Does he have something in the works with HB of CFB? Since he tweeted that they was working on something.

Maybe its too early to assume that Soulja Corleone is coming out with something. Since he is a person who says that quality matters to him; more than quantity. For now we have "He Has Rizen" to listen to, but as Soulja Corleone said "Its just the beginning."

Soulja Corleone Dropped "He Has Rizen" Mixtape

2016-05-23T22:22:00.000-07:00

Soulja Corleone released his new project on to the web today. Hitting social media with it hours before its intended release time.

On his Facebook page; he placed the SoundCloud link to the mixtape with a status saying "Before the 13th hour. #‎HeHasRizen‬ now on SoundCloud for your consumption.. This is just the beginning.. In due time for the rest."

Does that mean there is more new music to come from Soulja Corleone? We think he answered that on his Twitter. With the status "I've only begun.. 3Peat action." Among that tweet he posted a few others... Like "My big dog @cfb954 told me it was time. And, took the lock off my cage." Another may have given a more in depth into the mind of Soulja Corleone right now. With his posting "I did it for me. Not for any of y'all. For me."

It seemed Soulja is revved up to drop new music, and come back to the game. But, how long will this last? No one knows with Soulja Corleone. He does has a streak of constancy, then he fades away to come back. Lets hope he stays around a while.

If you are not following Soulja Corleone on any of his social media outlets. "He Has Rizen" is below to stream, and download.

2016-05-20T10:07:00.002-07:00

What's New For Soulja Corleone in 2016 (Q&A)

2016-01-22T04:15:00.001-08:00

Its been a full year now that Soulja Corleone has been retired since announcing in early 2015. Although he didn't fulfill a promise to his listeners, and that was to release a album that he was working on in 2014.

But, how has the days been for Soulja Corleone? Well that was the question prior to finally catching up with him; and seeing what he's been up to.

When asked "What was you up to in 2015?" Soulja replied "I was relaxing, and enjoying life. At least trying to... Its life. There is going to be ups, and downs as the days change. But, I'm alive to see a new year, and wake up to see a new day. So, no complains there. (laughs)"

Why did you release "The Truth" track, and no other music last year? Soulja replied "Its complicated. I felt like I owed people a reason why I left. I kind of sugar coated the reason why I wanted to retire. And, although I didn't say it straight out in the verse. It was something... There was so much going on in late 2014, and early 2015... I wasn't excited with the music I was making. I wasn't content with where I was mentally.

But, I kept going cause people kept telling me to go. And, I know I had so much to talk about in the music. With new ideas of how to create. Then, my own fear sunk in. Of how people was going to take the approach what I was trying to do. I wanted to sing on songs, and I wanted to try different flows when rapping. So, what I did have recorded. I released as the "Journey EP" for people to listen to. And, it was a mixed bag of responses. So, I was between a rock and a hard place. To decide to go back to what people liked, or continue on where I wanted to go. In the end. I decided to quit."

How did everyone else feel from the label when you announced your retirement?" He says "The only person I was speaking to at that time was Cash (Jay Hollin) and he was I guess cool with it. Everybody else kind of heard when everybody heard. I really didn't expect no responses from everybody else. The label had died long ago. And, I'm not afraid to admit that. From day one I told everybody they wasn't obligated to the label. If they wanted to up, and go out to do they own thing. They could, and I wasn't mad.

At the end of the day. I'm still not mad. I love seeing what Cash (Jay Hollin) is doing. Cause he learned, he adapted, and now he's out conquering. Seeing some artist comeback as ghost of yesterday's past. Is a beautiful sight. I know many might have some negative things to say about me. But, I'm happy for them still. I'm not going to hold grudges after its all said, and done. I might have when it first happen, and went out on tracks talking crazy. But, that person is who I was, and not who I am today. I'm still grateful for them coming in, and creating what we created back then. And, seeing it evolved into what it is today."

Now, the real question for Soulja is.. Is there going to be any new music for Soulja Corleone in 2016?" Soulja says "The only way for new music to come out from me. Is some old music I been recorded. I mean I still got it a little, but not rapping for so long as definitely took its toll on me. And, I'm not the spring chicken I was. Who could write, and record a verse in 15 mins. Have a mixtape done in a week. That's the old me, and if I do have something of my sleeve. Then, I'm the only one listening to it. That's why I started making music in the first place. But, it just grew so quickly with putting it on the net. And, I lost sight of that at the end of the day."

Soulja says he's not making nothing for 2016. But, lets remember this is Soulja Corleone. He always has something up his sleeve for release. As of now Soulja is continuing to remain quiet through social media. And, says he is focusing on other business endeavors for the year.

Soulja Corleone Drops New Track Unexpectedly

2015-08-30T23:21:00.003-07:00

Out of the blue... Soulja Corleone drops a new track. The new track is entitled "Truth" and its on Soulja's SoundCloud page.

A while ago Soulja Corleone did break his silence with a Facebook page update saying "If your waiting for a return to the game, that could be plausible." Is this what Soulja Corleone meant in that post with the release of this new track.

As of now its been a while that Soulja Corleone has been under the radar staying quiet on social media. Could he be breaking his retirement for another run? The question is still unanswered. Although in the track. That is down below for listening. Soulja did speak on alot of things concern his music; as always he speaks about his personal problems, but the most notable line that sticks out are.

Stating "How many said that I wouldn't get signed, when they said it, wasn't my time, but when it was, I surely declined, respect my morals, respect my mind." Followed by "I speak my life, I speak my pain, I did it all, still remained the same, I watched so many try, but yet they changed, but they the ones who said that I changed."

It seems that Soulja Corleone is still speaking on his reason for declining deal offers some years ago, and staying an independent artist. The song is put together well with Soulja showing no signs of weakness in his flow on a smooth beat, along with a interview sample from Tupac Shakur.

However, you look at it. Its still great that Soulja Corleone decided to stepped back into the light if only for a minute. Maybe this is the beginning of more tracks to come with for the future.

Soulja Corleone Says The Release Of New Album Is "Indefinite"

2015-05-28T12:27:00.000-07:00

The recent hiatus of Soulja Corleone has been long going for sometime now. But, in a recent break of silence. He has spoke on one word on his upcoming album. And, "Indefinite" was that word. Soulja Corleone says that the album may or may not be released this year, and he has no intentions of rushing the process of creating it.

It has already been three years since the announcement of the album. After the 2012 release of "Music. Pain." album. Soulja has put out unfinished, and unmixed portions from the album, but nothing conclusive on its state of release.

At the end of 2014. He did say that the album would definitely be released this year, but after no announcement of release date. The album looks as if its going to be permanently shelved until Soulja Corleone is ready to work, and release the album.

As in a previous statement Soulja Corleone has always spoke on his albums saying... "The album will come when its ready." Maybe when Soulja Corleone feels he has a complete body of work "Redemption" might see the light of day, as for now it only has one official track released from it.Which was released 2 months ago.

But, will something be released in the meantime. Only time will tell.

Q&A with Soulja Corleone

2015-03-17T04:58:00.001-07:00

Soulja Corleone recently broke his silence with doing a Q&A session on Ask.fm. Where he allowed his followers from Twitter to ask him anything. During the Q&A fans sparked some response about Soulja Corleone's retirement, and the still unreleased album.

Soulja did answer every question in detail for the fans, and cleared up any rumors about him, and his hiatus. The more introspective questions are below.

Q: When is the album being released?

Soulja Corleone: The album will be released when its ready. I have no intention to release the album if I'm not truly satisfied with it. And, at this point in working on the album. I haven't been fully satisfied with material. Until I am. The album will stay unreleased.

Q: Why retire so early in your career?

Soulja Corleone: It may seem early to people who caught onto my music late. But, I have over a decade invested into the music. I think I've had a great run as a solo artist, and its time for me to focus on other things musically than just being a face, and brand to go along with the music. I honestly think I have more to offer musically where I don't have to be out front, or have my name placed on the front cover. And, with that the music will benefit more than my ego.

Q: Will there ever be a sequel to Mildley Woods?

Soulja Corleone: There was a time I thought of doing a sequel to it. But, in retrospect it wouldn't have helped the integrity of the Mildley Wood persona. My music changed so much since the release that it would have brought what people loved about Mildley Woods into the world of Soulja Corleone. And, I like to keep those two separate.

Q: What's makes Mildley Woods different from Soulja Corleone?

Soulja Corleone: Mildey Woods is a persona of Soulja Corleone. Its like Nino Brown is a persona of Wesley Snipes. Mildley is a more easy going party persona, where as Soulja Corleone is a realist, political, emotional persona. At the end of the day. I am both of them since I created at them.

Q: What happened to The Team and YBG?

Soulja Corleone: The Team is YBG. And, nothing happened to the group. Just the artist who make the group has moved onto other things in their careers, and we talk about doing another YBG project all the time, but it just hasn't happened.

Q: What is your favorite album/mixtape of your catalog?

Soulja Corleone: Honestly, I have no favorite. All of my music is growth of me as a artist throughout the years. But, if I would have to pick one. It would be "Who is Mildley Woods?" because that project was never intended to be released. It was just music I was working on while working on another project. And, it took form on its own. Its been 4 years since its been out, and listening to it is still new, and refreshing to me.

Q: How is your relationship with everyone on SDIMG?

Soulja Corleone: My relationship with everyone who was on the label is still good. We speak when we can, and there is no bad blood between any of us at the end of the day. Whenever any of them need me. I'm always going to be there for them. I don't know why people tend to think that we had label falling out, or something. But, we're all good. And, very respectful of each other's career choices.

Q: Who is your competition?

Soulja Corleone: Honestly, I'm my own competition. If that would answer the question. But, if it comes down to any of the people I've worked with. They're all my competition. And, my top competitor is Jay Hollin. He has always been my main competitor when it came down to music. At one point when we first started, I knew it was nothing to make a better verse than him. But, as he grew as a artist, he made me question my verses, re-write verses, re-record songs. And, I am most happy for him for where he's at in his career. I know when to take Ls, and I took a few to him on some songs.

Soulja Corleone Confirms Track For Upcoming Album

2015-03-03T22:42:00.000-08:00

Soulja Corleone dropped a track out of no where. Early for some, but late for others on March 3rd. The new entitled "Smoker, and a Drinker" popped up on Soulja Corleone's SoundCloud page with no form of announcement from his Twitter or Facebook pages.

At this point in time is normal for a release from Soulja Corleone. The real shocker is that Soulja did update his Facebook page saying "It has begun. Redemption on the way. Just wait on it."

Its's been a real quiet project for Soulja Corleone working on this new album. Many people either have forgotten, or just don't care anymore about it. And, it seems as Soulja doesn't care to rush himself in putting this album out any sooner than when he wants to.

Sources close to Soulja Corleone says he has been working on the project, and being very discreet about its progression. But, the first official release from the album in the form of this new track. Is a sign that he is working at his own pace, and making some great material while doing so.

Check out the new track "Smoker, and a Drinker" below.

Soulja Corleone Says "Redemption Is My Last Album, Then I'm Done"

2015-02-11T22:46:00.002-08:00

Soulja Corleone who is no stranger to taking breaks from creating music. Has made an announcement that might change his career.

Through sources close to the rapper. It has been said that his "Redemption" album that is slated for release this year. Will be the final album of the artist. As of recent there has been alot of wonder around the artist. Who has been seemly venting his frustrations through his music.

In a newly released track entitled "RunNTellDat" uploaded to Soulja Corleone's SoundCloud page. It seems as Soulja Corleone is either in defense, or on the attack of some speculators.

Following the release of that track. Another track was posted entitled "The Message"to the page. Where Soulja Corleone parodies people asking him for studio time at the beginning of the song, and lays a verse that is seemly unforgettable. Speaking on how people have taken the fact that he's been rapping for so long, and now quitting. For the reason things aren't like they used to be. He closes the verse with

"I stole, borrowed, reinvented flows, now I got so many, that I can let them go, and let you n*ggas have one, but just know they all clones, my unwanted sons, even if they write they own sh*t, they ain't sh*t without the n*gga who gave them, their first hit."

Obviously the line, and the song entirely is aimmed at someone, but Soulja Corleone hasn't spoken on the situation. As far as the upcoming album from Soulja Corleone. Sources have said that he his working on the album, but still doesn't have a release date of any sort.

Soulja Corleone Speaks on Quitting Music

2015-01-10T00:54:00.002-08:00

Soulja Corleone recently opened up on his Facebook page. In a now deleted post about how he contemplated quitting music for good.

The topic was raised with the release of "Over" from the newly released "Journey EP" mixtape. In the song Soulja speaks on how he has dedicated his life to making music, and hasn't earned much from it. He also touches on his hiatuses from making music. And, how people he has helped with their careers, but after reaching success. Turn their backs on him.

In the post Soulja cleared up any misconceptions the song might have made. He says "For who this may concern.. There has been many dark periods in my life that I've vented through my music. And, in turn my music is part of my identity, and something I can't change. But, to set the record straight. Yes, it is true. I've thought long and hard about quitting music. But, not in the sense of quitting it completely. More or less quit making it public. The music I make has always been for my own listening pleasure. I never attempted to seek fame or fortune out of this gift, and skill. But, I did make it public. So, that others may have access to my story, my views, my thoughts. And, maybe that's where I went wrong."

He continues the post with "Me having harsh feelings towards anyone I worked with? Never. I love everyone I've worked with past, and future. No hard feelings at all. I've always told anyone who has worked with me that there is a level pass this one, and I won't be mad, or jealous that they reached for it. And, that they never had think that they had to come back for me after they made it. My understanding is everyone has their own journey in life, and career. So, if I hadn't made it there on my own. It wasn't my time to be there in my life, and career. I've been blessed with many opportunities to take it there. But, to really assume greatness takes time, and patience. The greater I become, the greater the opportunity will be."

He then finishes the post off with "I will continue to make music for myself, and anyone that decides to listen. The people who have rode with me through all the years of my career, and seen me grow into the artist I am at the moment, and you know I didn't start this yesterday. Any person with as many years into making music as me would have been blown up, and fell from grace twice by now. LOL. But as I said before I haven't assumed greatness yet. The album will be in the works along with much more music, and collaborations. Just wait on it."

Since the original post was deleted Soulja Corleone's Facebook page has been quiet, although he has been active on Twitter speaking on new music. As for confirmation on a collaborating mixtape with Will Boy hasn't come through yet, but it shouldn't be to far down the line.

Soulja Corleone Says He Wants To Work With Will Boy

2015-01-06T03:38:00.001-08:00

2015 is now in full effect, and Soulja Corleone is ready to begin a new year right. As 2014 closed Soulja released "The Journey EP" mixtape for the end of the year. And, went on record to say "2015 will hold no music from 2014. Everything will be new." Before releasing the mixtape.

Now, Soulja Corleone has took to twitter saying he is hoping he can work with Down East Music Group's own Will Boy on full collaboration mixtape. Soulja has spoken in the past with high regard to working with Will Boy on a joint project. But, that never happened. And, in the case you call Soulja Corleone's "Return to the Underground" mixtape. A Soulja Corleone/Will Boy collaboration mixtape. Since Will Boy did feature on 5 of the 10 tracks. Which Soulja Corleone did call a "unofficial" collaborative project between the two.

Will 2015 be the year that it finally happens? Soulja Corleone has been tweeting minor things via his twitter account saying he's working on new music. But, nothing in specifics of a joint collaboration project with Will Boy. So, as of now nothing is official of this Southern duo. But, knowing Soulja Corleone something is going to happen when the timing is right. As Soulja Corleone always does.

As for the album Soulja Corleone promised for 2015. Nothing has been announced on that yet either. But, if the collaboration mixtape is happening with Will Boy. The album is on the back burner for Soulja Corleone as he focuses all his attention to one project at a time. Keep a close eye out for where things are going on both the album, and joint mixtape with Will Boy. Soulja will make something happen.
