Ok ok….warning, very blatant self promotion…Ha Ha

After three months of late nights and a bit of head scratching, our second series for our Kids brand “Mister Mista” is up and running. Initially we started series one with just three tshirt designs. We decided to expand series two as it just seemed a waste not to use the illustrations that didn’t make it to garments.

Mister Mista garments are all limited edition with their own unique number on the swing tag along with the characters back story. We’ve also included art prints and greeting cards. “Happy Burp day” seems to be the favorite with our stockists.

This series we also collaborated with the illustrious UK wall sticker aficionados Chocovenyl, to create Wall Decals and Height Charts printed on highly innovative Fabric – paper which has a slight fabric texture and is repositionable.

Starting to look forward to series three. As many of you will understand it’s refreshing (maybe even important) to have side projects where you control the outcome.

Vector to Product

One of the great advantage for vector art is its possibility to translate into a product. I made custom keychains for self promo. With help from Joe at engraveyourbook.com, I had neon acrylic plate laser cut and engraved. Then I put all the other keychain parts collated together myself. As you can see the vector data is translated nicely and it is a great feeling when my brain child come to life. more about the keychain here.

Adidas Originals: Celebrate Creativity

This was a recent project for Adidas Originals. It is a 20′x5′ billboard design. It was showcased on their display at the Project, Las Vegas Show 2010 this month. The stipulations were to use the traditional Adidas blue and for the design to include the phrase “Celebrate Originality”.

Spicers Paper

I was recently lucky enough to be asked as one of four illustrators to produce an illustration for Spicers papers.

The sample is for their Stephen range and the best way to describe it’s colour is baige/cream.

The brief was simple and a little bit close to home as I grew up in a country area of Australia.

“Stephen

He’s the tradie down the street with the spick ‘n’ span van and overalls to match. He’s the team captain keeping morale high, season after punishing season. He’s the one who strung the Christmas lights for the local primary school – from the bike rack to the overflowing rainwater tank. It takes balls to ride a bike since then.”

The sample was printed CMYK with white a s a fifth colour and for all good Aussies or general beer drinkers, it comes with a complimentary beer coaster.

The samples where also in support of http://australiaproject.com and launched on Australia day.
