Awesome '70s-esque Stills From 'Hora'

Last week we first reported on a new indie horror film entitled HORA, which sounded pretty damn promising. At the link we brought you a look at the teaser art, along with a link to the trailer over at the film's official website. Now we've got your first two stills from the film that stars Minken Tveitan (famous soap actress), Jørgen Langhelle (a big actor in Norway), Rudy Claes (a famous dancer), Kenneth Falkenberg, Eik Omedal and Isabel Vibe (a porn star in Scandinavia - pictured inside).

Insode you'll find the first stills from Jake Kennedy's THE DEVIL'S DUNGEON, which stars Marieh Delfino, Eve Mauro, Graham McTavish, Alice Amter, Michael Rooker, Valorie Hubbard, Allison Lange, Tony Todd, Tracy Coogan, Jason London, Jason Connery, James Duval and Garret Jones. When a single mother working as a stripper is invited by a friend to take her place to dance at a well-paid private party, she jumps at the chance of making the extra money. This afternoon (before our internet went down) we scored a look at the first posted for SODIUM BABIES, a stylish new vampire film from directors Benoit & Julien Decaillon. The pic tells the story of Maurice, who in 1973 is very happy to be getting out of the Army and back to his lady. Hes not able to rest for long, however, as Max, an evil ghoul, forces him to enlist in The Fellowship. Maurice is then sucked into 30 years of servitude, just waiting for his chance to get back at those who wronged him.

Korean Horror-Themed 'Soul Mates'

Well here's a film that pretty much sounds like the most uninteresting film in ages. Scott Reynolds' is currently prepping SOUL MATES, which will star Korean actress Han Chae-young ("Love Now"). With a $5.4 million budget and scripted by Nick Ward ("Stickmen"), SOUL MATES is a horror film about eternal love and vengeful ghosts, a themefamiliar to fans of Korean horror. Scheduled to shoot in January and targeted for a summer release, "Lord of the Rings" special effects supervisor Richard Taylor and his company, Weta Workshop, will handle visual effects.

Scott Goldberg's 'Loss of Hope' Premiering Online

If you head over to Director Scott Goldberg's official MySpace, you can check out the trailer for his latest feature, LOSS OF HOPE. In the film Paul Kratka plays a man who has lost all hope. After a nuclear war that has killed millions, he must look to memories of the past to heal his fears. Gail Merzer Behrens, Chris Margaritis and Jennifer Baltusis also star. LOSS OF HOPE was written by Jennifer Baltusis, Paul KratKa and Scott Goldberg. The film is scheduled to be released in November 2008 online.

Short Film: Eerie Film Submission 'Throwaway'

We dont cover a lot of short films here at B-D, but curiosity got the best of me when I received a copy of THROWAWAY, a short film by Brian James Fitzpatrick and Dennis Widmyer, so I gave it a look. Its a tight, compelling little nightmare about a young womans repeated encounters with a loud and intimidating homeless man that trumps anything featured in one of those listless Fangoria short film compilations currently available on DVD. If you live in the area, you can check it out at the Eerie Horror Fest, October 9-12, in Eerie, PA, and hopefully it will spread like a virus through other genre fests nationwide. 'Attack of the Giant Leeches' Teaser Trailer

Inside you can check out the trailer for ATTACK OF THE GIANT LEECHES, an indie remake of the 1959 sci-fi classic. In the original: after local-moonshine swilling trapper Lem Sawyer sees a giant creature, people start disappearing. While searching for illegal traps Steve Benton and Nan Greyson, his girl-friend find Lem dying with giant sucker wounds on his body. One couple Liz Walker and Cal Moulton, forced into the water by her enraged husband Dave Walker, gets taken by the leeches. When police refuse to believe Dave's story, he hangs himself. Soon after this, 2 more trappers disappear, the local Game Warden Steve Benton gets involved. He and Nan's father Dr Greyson realize that the people were taken by the leeches and the leeches live in caves under the swamp. Using dynamite, the 4 missing bodies are discovered and the leeches are destroyed.

[REC] Director's Intense Transformation in 'Damned Friday'

Faux trailers seem to be the new "cool" as it's becoming more and more of a gimmick used to promote different events across the board. A few weeks, ago you all saw [REC] co-director Jaume Balagueró's faux trailer for EXORCIST V. Today Teaserland is back with another goodie, this time from the other director of [REC], Paco Plaza. His incredible trailer is entitled DAMNED FRIDAY (Maldito Viernes) and features quite the transformation. We can only dream of this becoming an actual feature film...

We caught wind of a new Mandarin horror film coming next year entitled INVITATION ONLY, which is now in post-production from Filmax International. In Kevin Ko's film, it is the best party ever a wishing game takes place where at first dreams seem to come true. But when one of the guests is found brutally killed, the wishing game turns into a killing game in which the ordinary guests are the tortured victims and the wealthy party goers are the sadistic spectators. The hosts want to be entertained and torture is the main dish. Enjoy!!!

Nagin Retitled to 'Hisss', First Creepy Stills!

I am officially intrigued. Inside you can check out the first two images from Jennifer Lynch's NAGIN, which has officially been retitled to Hisss. The pictures feature Bollywood star Mallika Sherawat as the "Snake Woman" in the pic, which tackles the ancient Eastern myth of the snake woman who can take on various forms. The visual effects for HISSS will be handled by Precinct 13's Robert Kurtzman, director of "Wishmaster" and "The Rage," among others.
