My 2018 Journey - being less fat

It has been a very long time since I last posted something on my blog.

Fast track to 2018. I have successfully lost 10kg using the Transition Life Style (TLS) 21 day Challenge program which I was introduced to in Malaysia. I hit the 10kg mark in the 4th month.

The reasons i signed up to this 21 day challenge was not because I saw a need to lose weight, but I needed to find out how I could maintain a healthy weight. On average I was putting on 1kg a year since 2008. When I weighed in, I was 70kgs....and I believe I was much heavier a few weeks before that.

Exercising 3x a week, controlled eating, not much alcohol and junk food, I was going no where but seem to be piling on the weight and mass. I was outgrowing my clothes and had to keep buying shift dresses and straight line cutting clothes. It's sad when you no longer look like u have and ass and thighs but just one straight flat and fat legs when wearing a pair of jeans.

I couldn't even fit into my easecox bodyshaper. It was tight as f. (Well I have not been wearing them for quite some time).

Anyways, the reason I am writing in this blog once again is that, for real, to have a healthy life, you need to eat right and incorporate exercise and an active lifestyle. I have gone on the local event stage to share my journey with other and I always end it with. It's only 21 days, what have you got to lose other than the excess few kilos that might kill u eventually.

Eosungcho - Personal Review of 3 in 1 Rejuvenation

I ran out of ideas on what kind of medication or detox stuff to consume. No! I am not a fan of direct sales or MLM, I have had many people trying to sell me their RM5k 'cleansing, fat busting, miracle' programs. I can't afford that and I am a lazy person with lack of discipline to even eat antihistamines on a daily basis to fix my Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria.

I stumbled upon this in Bangsar Village 1 pharmacy (the one located on the lowest level). It has all this general health issues printed on their marketing ad such as below. I threw away the flyer and got this off their fb page. Anyway, out of 10, how many strikes your attention? Minimum 5 out of 10. Let's give this a try I say. After discount its bout RM65 per box of 10 doses each.

So this is what I bought. One to Purify your blood, One for cleansing, and the last is probiotics to calm your tummy with the good bacteria. According to the sales person/pharmacist (not sure), these are natural herbs and I wouldn't have the lausai stomach cramp effect. This is a small pack 10 day course. I was told to take 1 in the morning, 2 in the day time and 3 before bed.

At first I was damn stupid, I poured all this bits into a cup of water then realised....damn its not going to dissolve no matter how i smashed it in water. LOL! I just downed the whole cup choking myself.

The next few times, I just swallowed it with 2-3 gulps of water. It tastes herby and its not as disgusting as I thought it would be. I end up drinking more water when I take this.

For the first 5 days I did what I was suppose to, but with all the temptations of food like this stupid message that I received to timely....all I can think of if I keep stuffing all this down my throat, wouldn't I be wasting my effort? No! Just eat.

The Probiotics (Prolife) please dissolve it in water and drink. Just tastes like flat vitagen/yakult. Drink and goodnight.

After 5 days, I became too busy and lazy to remember to eat my bulat bulat. But I took them with me to Bangkok and took them as I indulged in yummy unhealthy food. Like this giant cockles. Everyday I was in BKK, I think the colon cleanser was on overdrive...everything just didn't want to stay long in my gut. But I did analyse my encounters. It is definitely not diarrhea or food poisoning. It felt like the next day when I get up...I just needed to offload a lorry. And I am ready to continue eating. =P

Conclusion:

1. Yes, I definitely feel a bit more awake in the morning. Please bear in mind I sleep at 2am everyday and wake up at 8 to go to work. Too much Dota.

2. My skin looks a bit brighter than usual. Also bear in mind, I only wash my face in the morning and always forget to put any moisturizer or sun block.

3. I pooped...and pooped....but my poop ain't some normal poop. Warning! Don't continue if you are shitphobic.

- My poop is soft
- My poop is greyish brownish
- My poop did not come with tummy cramps, but I just felt that I needed to shit as storage seems ready to lodge.

4. No it did not lower or cure my urticaria, its just as bad. But anyway, it did not claim it can have any positive impacts on urticaria.

This product is good for maybe supplements, but I cant afford to take it everyday, it is quite expensive and also I don't want my liver and other organs to go on overdrive. We need to stock some crap some days to build immunity. What crap am I talking!

But ya, can give it a try.

Working in Dubai - First timer experience

I was very lucky to given the opportunity to work in Dubai in 2014. My stint was 3 months long. I was really depressed after the passing of my husband. But I told myself ,what else can I lose? I have no more space for sadness but all the desire to experience new things and bring some happiness to my life. I took the challenge. My whole family was very against it as none of them knew what Dubai is like and with all the news about the middle east just makes things a lil harder. Plus, I do not know anyone in Dubai.

3 months, 2 suitcases, 6 pairs of shoes and no shorts......( I read that you have to dress very decently and cover your knees, shoulders etc.)

I stayed at Rose Rayhaan hotel for a good 120 days!!! Loved it.

I was upgraded to the 62nd floor, the highest was 63. This is the world's second tallest hotel.

I arrived at 5am and took a complimentary taxi to the hotel and checked in. The reception manager was so generous and upgraded me from a normal deluxe room all the way to a suite. Man....things are looking good as a start.

The amount of homes, villas and buildings is kinda crazy. I live in a terrace house with small roads and compared to this...its quite crazy. The sky was not as clear as it was entering Winter. However, you can sort of see the Dubai Archipelago which apparently is sinking and shrinking in size as we speak.

My workplace is located near the Burj Khalifa, so I get to see it everyday and it looks way prettier at night with all the lights lit up.Dubai is very clean, unless you step out of the city and go and venture into other places. Service is top notch, however, their standard of mannerisms are a kinda different from Asian cultures. Expect loud voices and some who just don't believe in queuing.

At the office pantry, there is this Rainbow Milk which I am totally clueless what it is. However, all my colleagues use a lot of this.

It has only been 2 weeks and I am already attending a farewell for a colleague. I am now left with 3 Singaporean friends at work. This is probably the most international meal I ever had. Well this is Dubai.

Funky Rock that I bought at the Dubai Global Village.

Living in Dubai is quite expensive. A night out with a bottle of vodka would set you back somewhere AED2,000 and thats +/- MYR2,200. Buffet at Jap, Dim Sum etc places would start at about AED200. Most time, the food seem to taste better at these joints. Normal chinese chicken rice would cost you somewhere AED30-50 on avg and foodcourt noodles around there as well.

There are plenty of Malaysian or Asian cuisines in Dubai but the fresher the food the more expensive it will be. A cabbage costs like AED60 once I saw...I wouldn't want to guess if it was organic and air flown from Australia.

Food display in a KL premiumly priced foodcourt

NWhat are your acceptable standards in a foodcourt located in a premium shopping mall?

Definitely no rats, scary insects or flying cockroaches. Clean tables and chairs from the outlook and hopefully not encrusted with cobwebs and bee hives where the sun don't shine or the cleaners don't wipe.

Chefs/Cooks wearing gloves and hair neatly tucked in their white hats and clean cutleries.

Yesterday, it hit me that all the above just plain hygiene requirements. Story below.

Queuing at the counter to make my order, my eyes wondered around at the colourful food presentations tucked in the showcase counter fridges. I'm lucky I didn't see a rat having it's lunch. But what I saw was worse as the rat wouldn't have chosen it for any meal if it knew.

Ps. The fruits and peppers are fake.... I think. It looked faked to me. Something you can get from a novelty store kind.

Yummy Hummus looks so good with added herbs. NOT! Fur is growing on the food. It's turning feral. It's gonna grow legs soon and start walking. The platter too has a fur coat growing. It must be chilly in there.

I am not sure if those green fur clumps are part of the serving. The tomatoes is heading back to nature and only the gherkins is proving it's worth.

Food samples should be either moulded from plastic or made fresh and replaced before it turns to something else.

Although the feral stuff is covered by cling wrap, doesn't this post as a health or hygiene threat? What about the ones not covered and exposed.

No sort of servable or edible food should share a space in that fridge. Fungus and mold can cause many kinds of food poisoning and sickness.

No wonder the Japanese spend so much time and effort and charge u a bomb for platic food replicas.

I am not sure if I will buy from this stall in future. But looking at the attention they give to their 'food models' I think not. Unless there is no other food left in this world, I hope the spinning kebabs are hot.

Why is it that work starts Monday and days off are Sat and Sun? ( for me ) If I have the chance to be my own boss one day, I hope I can make some changes to allow my employees a better perspective to what going to work is all about. Automating processes till 10am so that people can start work then and have time for breakfast and a healthy throne visit.

Whilst routine work and life is quite important sometimes, in the long run you end up living within a set parameter and become a dull person with hopes and fantasies of doing many other things and activities if you weren't at work. The sad thing is all of us are bound by our monthly paychecks and are afraid to tough it out for a better future. Who knows you might win and u might fail too right?! Scary.

About building someone's dreams by working for them, well, they too are giving you a chance to build your own dream by giving you a salary and a job for experience. But most times you'll end up with the money but without the opportunity as the train has long ago, left the station. You would be less inclined to start a new venture but nevertheless it is never too late to be a grandpa boomer.

Don't let what you have learnt or have been taught be the only guide in shaping who you are. It's is compelling to be yourself and follow your heart. We don't need to meet another me or I everywhere we go.

Why it's important to living a fulfilling life? It's not so much about you when you are dead and gone. It's about the people you leave behind. Imagine if you lived a stressful and unhappy life, your next of kin would feel like they never did enough for you and regrets will fill up the whole mind bubble and someone else is gonna be depressed. This will just turn into a vicious cycle and everyone will be depressed until one day they are strong enough to decide that it's enough and a change is mandatory.

If you hate your job, find a new one. If you despise your partner and there is no return, then don't return. If you are ill, go to the doctor! If you need to lose weight, go exercise. Learn from those who failed and follow those who are successful. Don't deny yourself from learning new things and be curious to take on new adventures. You have one life and don't waste it.

To begin a new journey the people you surround yourself with are very crucial and important. They are the ones that will either walk with you thru your pain or just be there for the sake of being there. Either way someone there is better than no one there.

Many will form their own presumptions of how you should feel and many assume what social norm is, and should be the way to go. I'm not a believer of just being normal. More so when in situations where emotions should be thrown out and your logical mind in. But some days emotions take the better of me. When you start to open up that is when you start getting hurt in different ways. Hurt can take many forms not only from pain or suffering. It can come from not being able to see yourself be like an ordinary person.

The old wounds might have just remain a massive scar but the new wounds will continue to hurt and hurt even more when the wounds are so close to one another. But if you do not open up you will never allow yourself to feel like you are alive or the least to say to feel like there is hope in life.

So far, wishes and hopes are just too hard to attain and remain a self portray of lies. When life is back to square one and you are at level zero, you have to face the same kind of experiences but at a different level. It's entirely up to you to intensify the happiness or even the pain. Nevertheless we all want to be happy. But happiness means nothing if you never felt sadness. There is no love if you have never felt abandonment.

If you are that person helping someone walk thru fire, be committed to hold their hands till the very end. They have opened up to you and given their trust unto you. Do not let them down.

I regularly eat at Foodtique so this post is really something which was quite a disappointing post. Too bad the bosses were not there and the waiter just stares at you.

I'm not commenting on their main menu as the food is quite good. But one morning I decided to try out the dim sum and maybe I expected the same quality and great tasting food.... I was disappointed and didn't even finish half of what we ordered

Fried Prawn dumpling. Not crispy but has been fried twice. Hard crust. By the time you get to the fillings, scores already dropped.

Steam meat buns. Worst I've had. The bun is hard and crusty as if steamed multiple times and the dough has given up.

Radish cake, the only dish we ordered that had acceptable texture and taste.

We did not enjoy our brunch on a Saturday. Won't come for dim sum anymore. Sticking to the main stuff.

Maybe the chef was having a bad day, but ya whatever.

Encore Patisserie @ Taman Desa

There are so many cafés sprouting out around KL and some are great while others are just in it for the race.

Whilst living in Melbourne, we would go for cakes and pastries every weekend. However now that we are back in KL the usual nasi lemak and chee cheung fun hits all the spots and no space for sweet stuff.

Stumbled upon a post on my fb of a new cafe in town but this time not a coffee den but a patisserie. Encore Patisserie originates from Sydney if my memory serves me well.

Whatever it is, didn't browse long enough at the selections as the Mille Feuille caught my attention straight away. Not gonna say much but if you don't try it you are definitely missing out on quality and real pastry. One of the owners showed us a way of eating it, slice the top half up and go thru layer by layer as cutting straight thru the pastry will just destroy the whole block of OMG cream.

One thing which is important with food is freshness. Everything still tastes, feels and looks fresh.

I've been patronizing Chinoz ever since KLCC days like more than 10 years ago. The same dish was great and served with real nice looking juicy clams.

Come 2014, this is what I get! Chilli padi fried lala tossed with pasta. I can't remember but the price was like RM38 or RM48. There were overcooked bits and the lala was just tiny. As if you just went to the pasar pagi and grabbed a bag full.

It was first day of CNY and the place was busy and I was starving. Can't wait for another plate to come. Ate half and never coming here again.

I love caramel popcorns and not any fancy ones but just the ones you get at the cinema. Not too sweet but with crispy sweet bits on a popped corn.

Finally after years of hearing and seeing the hype of this 'expensive' branded popcorn I decided to try whilst at Citylink last night.

I bought a small pack of Caramel Crisp or crispy... Popcorn. SGD$ 5. Looks like a small bag.

That's about as much I can consume with my friend. It's toooooooo sweet. Feels like eating sugar but I know it's addictive. So not good for health esp with a family of inheritable diabetes. Argh the stress of looking and not being able to have more.

There's actually quite a lot in such a small bag... I'm saying small cause I'm used to eating popcorn from a bucket bigger than my head... Hence my size. The corn kernels must've been those mega huge and compact coated with sugar. Drop a few in hot water u prolly get hot sweet corn tea.

Hardcore Kpop fans outside Korea - formula 1 Singapore Bigbang

It's amazing how Kpop fans are so crazy and pumped up way before a concert. I mean if u queued up for Metallica that would be understandable as they don't have concerts once or twice a year in the same location. Kpop bands and stars are constantly releasing new albums and holding world tours ( some say only Asia ) and there is no news that it will slow down.

Fans queue overnight or even a few nights under sun, rain, moon, cold and many have no chance to ease or buy more food/water cause they might lose their spots. This is quite unreasonable in 2013!!!

Who is to blame for all this? Parents? Fans? Artists? Or the organisers?

Everyone plays a part in this. It would be great to have organisers take the first step in coming up with a better system in managing the fans who want to be right in front of the stage if it was a free standing one. Other than making the mostly younger generation queue overnight and endure the pain of getting UTI and starvation or even dehydration, why can't they start queuing maybe a few hours before the gates open. The organisers have the biggest say in all of these matters.

I'm sure even if they don't, the hardcore fans will still willingly queue up and sleep on the street just to be in front. It's so worth it for them I'm sure. But what about safety and health reasons? If only all the fans were as dedicated to life priorities as this.

I would love to be at the front of the stage too but I wouldn't queue up at 10 pm to a concert that starts at 11pm the next day. You would be so freaking tired and exhausted from the weather and fatigue. Exactly my experience at the G dragon concert although I didn't queue but I got up early and arrive in the morning for an 8 pm concert. I was exhausted by the time I got to my seat.

Pity them too especially the ones queuing last night for the Big Bang concert for Formula1 Singapore. Picture was at 10pm and till 11.15pm, I hope they can still physically and mentally enjoy the concert! Real VIPs!!!

Update from my friend Karen: 1:30pm their queuing at the barricaded lines and definitely no chance of peeing unless u make peace with all those behind u!

G-Dragon - One of a Kind Concert in Kuala Lumpur June 22nd 2013

G-Dragon OOAK 1st World Tour.

I never knew that this day would come. More on that I would actually wake up so freaking early at 8am to 'stand' around at a concert venue. Mind you that there was a freaking haze shit going on and everything was just a blur outdoors. Although my lungs were sacrificed and so is my pocket, I guess I won't do this again. Oh what the heck!

By the time I picked up some crazy friend and fans (again something I wouldn't do normally; people pick me up instead) we got there at about 11am! Freaking hot, hazy, stuffy, sleepy, tired, hungry, thirsty, sweaty...

Rehearsal pass 'stamp' which could be easily wiped off in this sort of weather...Couldn't they think of something smarter? Reminds me of the 13th GE in Malaysia. Anyway, let me start on this rehearsal pass process.

It is widely known that Celcom is expensive...therefore their clients are usually corporate. Younger generation uses Digi, Maxis and so on. in general. I have probably 5% of people on my contact list using Celcom.

But too bad, Celcom was one of the main sponsors therefore thou shall be summon under the whims of Celcom.

How we got the rehearsal pass.

1. Buy and X-pax starter pack think it was RM8 or something.
2. Activate and Reload RM100 into the damn number
3. Download a GD song
4. Supposedly quickly run to this woman from RITS and show her your receipt and get a stamp.

I would like to say...

1. RM8 no problem. At least bring a fucking sim card cutter...and not only for MICRO SIM but also for NANO SIM!!!!! ulu kampung. last minute only brought it out and make everyone feel so excited cause she said there was only 50 passes. Didn't even have the tools to get the SIM slot out. GAY!

2. Activation was done by some dude at the corner, and I was lucky to get someone to reload my phone. I never had to reload a phone in my life and don't ask me to try during such situations.

3. Downloaded the song several times and the song never got downloaded...wonders why no one uses Celcom. pfft!

4. Dear RITS woman manning the table. Firstly, if the fans are excited over getting the pass, it is a sign that they are happy and hyped. You as an organiser's representative, should LEARN how to make the fans hyped and excited. Celcom easily made about ({100 x-pax RM8} x RM100 reload x RM2 song) RM11k. Maybe its not a lot, but I have not included the RM50 reload for special merchandise x the hours you guys were there. If you want to organise a concert please keep your staff updated with the singer's songs and some info. They don't even know what songs he sings.

I never knew I could 'buy' the pass to watch. I felt like I paid for it more than it was luck. You know why? Cause the first 50 passes took forever to be 'GIVEN' out and shortly after they had another 50 passes to give away. !!! Yeah...see how shit the response and advertising is. Took them a few hours and countless amount of screaming thru the PA/ sound system.

Finally we were told to queue and sit cause GD is not ready. I dunno how long we sat on the floor for but I felt like at this age...this was stupid. I felt like a kid being mistreated. Maybe the younger crowd is just harder to control. Whatever it was, I know if anyone of my family saw me...they would laugh and call me stupid.

Project Miracle Malaysia in conjunction with fundrasing for Miracle360.org as headed by Sean from Jinusean. They fanclub managed to raise RM1600++ (i think). Good job!!!

Rehearsal passes are to be returned after use...look at the sad condition. I see no reusable use for RITS...you should have just taken the lanyard back and gave us the passes.

Sit down and watch rehearsal...WTF! If I was the singer I would have fallen asleep looking at my boring shit fans. I saw GD's face and it looked like he really hated being in Malaysia.

While exiting the area, an Indian security guy had to ruin it for me. He was holding the gates and he screamed 'Hey, can I release these people?' Excuse me, Do I look like a cow to you?

Too bad, nobody was gonna move that fast cause TaeYang came out and waved.

Attended a friend's wedding in Sabah.

I would never in my life thought of buying such a dress as tight ass as this. I am still surprised when I look at the photo. I know I did not lose weight, but sure as hell I got some waist.I have a tendency to shorten myself when I feel that I am towering everyone else in a photo. Cause I am not that tiny and I don't want to stick out like a cactus.

Attended a friend's hens night on the last week of June in KL.

The comments I received from my close friends were never heard of before. I was wearing an old dress circa 2005? Most of my stuff is in Melbourne. I still fit in it and it was loose. Me boobies sorta home.

If 2 months did this...I wonder what the full 9 months would do!!!
