Hi everyone and thank you to the girls who came to class last night it was nice to change my focus for a few hours.

So I thought I would share with you one of the projects I have done for the wedding.

I wanted somewhere a little quirky with a vintage feel for guests to place their cards.  I created a false bottom in an old suitcase and added a little banner.

Now it's finished I wish I had used pale blue and not pink for the false bottom, but it's done now :)

If I have time I'll try to share a few other little things, but time is flying by!

I have been away from here busy with all the Christmas and then wedding projects.  I'll share some pictures soon.  I hope you are all well and enjoying the beginning of a new year.

Do you ever find a good idea and get stuck on it?  That is what has happened to me with these lovely christmas tree cupcakes by Bakerella.

Here is my version.

I have made a couple of batches now for gifts and they are so much fun.  I have used fruit cake and vanilla cupcakes.  I found mini ice cream cones at the supermarket, which saved me cutting them like Bakerella describes.  I also used royal icing on the cake and the cone, this dries crisp and keeps well.

Hello, anyone who is still out there :) Life has been very jam packed lately but I am finally finding a little time to be creative again.

Hi everyone, things have been a bit quiet here as I concentrate on my prac placement.  I'm halfway through now.  Only three more weeks.  Only two months till Christmas and three months until my wedding. Aaaaaaaah!  So with all that in mind I have planned to run the same Christmas card class as I ran at Daisy Chain Scrapbooks here at my place this Monday night.

Last week we celebrated Stephen's Birthday.  I thought you might like to see the card and cake I made him.

 
It's always hard to create a card for a man, so when I saw this idea on Jennifer McGuire's Blog I ran with it.  I just fossicked in my stash to find all the bits and pieces.

 
The cake was another practice run for the wedding cake :) 

I have to go now and work on more assignments.  Only another two weeks of Uni and I'm off on my first prac. placement in a school.  Wow those 8 weeks few by!

Sorry I've been missing in action for the past few weeks.  Thanks to all of you who continue to stop by here. 

I have lots going on,but one thing at a time is what I keep telling myself.  So the most important order of business is this Monday nights class.

It's Marlene's (Stephen's Mum) Birthday today.  I made her a pretty cake.  

I think everyone is going to get a fancy cake for the next few months as I practice for my wedding cake.  I learnt a lot from this one :) I made the cute banner using my new Stampin Up banner punch.
