I've been meaning to post these pics on for a few weeks, but our move to Sydney has taken up a little of my time... My highlights from this year's Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. I adore the first pic, from one of the Floral Fashion Design student's entries. And kudos to my "old" apprentice Tia for her entry in the Advanced Student Design competition, with her picture frames in pinks and oranges.

The antique battery case my gorgeous husband found and bought for my birthday finally gets it's first flowers. Pineapple lilies, crimson gladioli, magnolia branches and my favourite philodendron leaves.

I have two phalaenopsis orchids which have been slowing budding. The first finally popped the other morning - it's so rewarding to watch them unfurl their pristine white petals over the course of a day - especially after the winter months waiting.

A few pics I thought I'd share from The Alannah and Madeline Foundation Patron Dinner held for HRH Princess Mary of Denmark, last year at the NGV. We used two shades of purple hyacinth, white singapore orchids and white oriental lilies with tropical leaves for centrepieces down the middle of the single long table.
