For the most recent issue of Raleigh’s Walter Magazine’s ‘Hear’ feature, I was assigned to capture Irish musician Gerry O’Beirne as he preformed at the home of Bett and Bill Padgett.  They regularly hold in-house concerts to showcase and share the musicians that they appreciate and admire.  Raleigh’s music loving patrons fill all of the nooks and crannies of the Padgett’s home, sharing food, bringing their own wine and enjoying a setting of intimate music.  Here are a few of the shots:

Last month I was hired by Capital Club 16 to capture imagery for an ad that they were creating to run in Walter Magazine.  We shot a couple images with beverages and food as well as an interior shot.  They actually ended up using one of my previous images of their Mac and Cheese as well to complete the ad.

For the May issue of Walter Magazine I was assigned to capture some environmental portraits of Tom Rabon of New Kind in Raleigh, NC for the issue’s “Givers” Feature.  Tom, as one of the founders of New Kind attempts to apply open-source sharing to meet any clients’ needs.  His interview in the “Givers” feature stresses his views on education as the root on innovation.  Here are a few captures from the shoot:

For this month’s ‘Hear’ Feature in Walter Magazine I was assigned to photograph the participants that put together the recent charity driven concert with Lyle Lovett.  Band Together Founders Phil and Shellie Gruber, Tom Lyon, Skip Mangum and Danny Rosin with the help of Matt Strickland teamed up with the Board of Band Together and the Board of the Tammy Lynn Center to raise $852,000.00 during the weekend of the show.  For more information on Band Together check out their website. Luckily, with only about 10 minutes to capture the images before their meeting, the weather was nice, spring blooms were out and Danny Rosin was able to supply some Elvis style glasses from his company Brand Fuel to add some rock and roll flavor.  Here are some out-takes:
