Many people think that silence represents a lack of caring or concern. They think you are apathetic to what's going on around you and with other people. No, at least for me it's the opposite. Silence is a sign of understanding. It's understanding that life is about change. Even when it's change you didn't ask for or even like. I see why the change is happening and can move on with life understanding whats going on. Rules are changing.....hell, rules are disappearing in some cases. We do what we must and as time progresses we take the feelings of fewer and fewer people into consideration during our decisions. It's life. Priorities change.

Is anything funnier then the grand standing online PSAs about how much folk dont care about others opinions and how much of their life exists beyond these Internets......Yes and lets not forget that water is wet too. LOL but we all elect to utilize these public sharing platforms. We all share generally non requested, unnecessary info and images because whether you want to admit it or not you want to be noticed. You want some form of attention. Hell, we all do.

This social media sounding board makes all of us at times think we're more important then we really are. And often times apply a very unrealistic view to the reality we exist in.

It's that time of year. Folk aren't just out and about for the sake of enjoying a warm midnight outside. The chill is back and that sends many running to the warmth of home. Not to mention the comfort of body heat. That also means that people become more selective with who they are willing to brave the cold to come out and see. In other words it's that part of the year where I know I won't be seeing too many folk. Well with so much on my plate I guess that just leaves me more time to work.......

I've met more folk in the past 2 years that have proven themselves to be positive additions to life then ever before. At the same time I've had to reevaluate others and where they stand. This is not about a loss of love or respect but rather a true look at how things are today. The energy may be different, the communication may have changed. It's not a bad thing just a real thing and not acting like things that were in 2003 are the same in 2013. Being honest with myself and those I affiliate with is never a bad thing.

People always mention to me "Ooooh we're cool with so many women..." as if it's some kind of weird thing. They think it's some kind of 24/7 wonder land and I never understood why. People are people. A lot of what I do and just how the chips fall out around ladies which fine. But what folk don't think about is the other stuff that comes with those interactions.

Humans are social creatures and as such we genuinely tend to pair up. That results in me not being able to interact too much with a person without assumptions being made to the depth of my relationships. I used to think this was a youth driven thing but it's actually gotten worse with age. To be honest I think social media has helped feed into many of your more juvenile characteristics. So yeah, watchers be they friend, foe or complete stranger continues to make up their own story line for me and what I must be doing with folk.

Only those that really know me or heaven forbid stop to actually ask me know that my social reality is no where near the fantasy that people envision. And on occasion I get put into some pretty lame positions because on others assumptions and twisted imaginations. Usually for the sake of keeping the peace I just let it ride. It's often not worth the energy.

"Oh, that's what you think? You don't KNOW but you going to do what your doing based off an assumption? Ok, knock yourself out. I'll just be over here doing what I always do."

That's usually how it goes down. And be clear, just cuz I know folk that's not some stamp of automatic loyalty. Or at the very least understand that many times there are conditions that can again put me in an interesting space with people. Nothing says "Screw you Jason." then ending up on the outs with someone because their man of the moment has an issue with me. Yeah when those instances arise I'm always the expandable piece of the equation. It used to hurt a lot now it's just part of the game. Oh well, those are the breaks...........

Very few people have changed. I know folk enough that within a given situation I can essentially predict the most likely of 2 top courses of actions. Depending on who it is I may hope harder that they surprise me and break their cycle, but I'm but dumb enough to think that it'll happen. I stay ready for the most likely. Not allowing much room for disappointment anymore.
