Day 29 - A song from your childhood

Manic Monday - The Bangles

SO MANY MEMORIES. I used to go to daycare, and every Monday morning I would wake up and go in my parents room while they got ready for work (they dropped me off on their way). And WJZ Channel 13 ALWAYS played this song. It was quite possibly my favorite part of the week :)

Day 28 - A song that makes you feel guilty

You mean like a guilty pleasure? Huh.

Thank God I'm a Country Boy - John Denver

So this isn't exactly a guilty pleasure...it's just one of those songs that I happily sing in the car and get veery strange looks from my friends...
But I LOVE it!

Day 27 - A song that you wish you could play

Hibernum - Kalawa Dubstep feat. Kim Eifer

DUDE. This is CLASSICAL VIOLIN DUBSTEP. It's the S to the H I T.

Yeah. That just happened.

But oh, how I wish that I could play this song.

Day 26 - A song that you can play on an instrument

Be Our Guest - Walt Disney's Beauty and the Beast

So when I was in maybe 5th grade, I got a Disney violin book...and this was my FAVORITE song to play :)
Good memories.

Day 24 - A song that you want to play at your funeral

My Way - Frank Sinatra

So I got this idea from a story that I read. I realize that it's a bit overrated and all, but I still like to think that I'll do things differently and be remembered for doing them 'my way.'

Here's to living a long and full life <3

Day 21 - A song that you listen to when you’re happy

Roll to Me - Del Amitri

So while the lyrics here aren't the happiest ones ever, they still aren't bad. And the beat and the melody are just so...fun! So the happiness, I guess, comes from the enjoyment that comes from singing along :)

Day 20 - A song that you listen to when you’re angry

F*** You - Lily Allen

This is essentially the perfect angry song because it sounds like such a happy song...until you listen to the lyrics. It always makes me smile :)

Okay, so it's been approximately...forever since I've updated this thing. Whoopsies.

Hopefully that will change. I have exams this week and a lot of presentation before the end of the month, so my days are actually filled with work instead of blog-post-inducing boredom...but I am really going to try to get this going again starting...NOW.

Day 14 - A song that no one would expect you to love

Aerosmith - Don't Want to Miss A Thing

I mean, seriously, does anybody like this song? I'm sure a LOT of people would be surprised to know that I'm a closet Aerosmith fan.

Yeah.

April fools! MWA HA HA HA HA

Gotcha, didn't I? No, but really. I have no idea what to do for this one. How can I know? Shouldn't other people be asked this question about me? Just give them a list of my iTunes library and ask if anything surprises them. And then you'll have an answer. But until then you shall just have to suffer through the pain of not knowing the answer to today's challenge. Heh.

Day 13 - A song that is a guilty pleasure

Poison - Alice Cooper

Anyone who knows my music style is probably aware that I'm not really into crazy 80's hard rock or anything like that. But I've always loved this song and I don't really know why...it's pretty catchy, I guess? And pretty darn sexy.

Day 11 - A song from your favorite band

So I'm going to take this literally and stick with a 'band.' There are a LOT of solo artists that I love, and I don't know if I could ever pick a favorite -- bands are much easier. Soo...Barenaked Ladies, DUH!

Just watch it

Day 10 - A song that makes you fall asleep

B.J. Thomas - Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head

I love this song so much! I guess that I wouldn't necessarily say that it puts me to sleep, but it does make me think of sleeping. I have a little twirling music thing (lol I don't know what to call it) that I've had for most of my life. When I was much younger I would listen to it when I couldn't sleep. The song isn't the original vocals, just a little wind-up melody, but it still holds a lot of good memories :)
